Carmelita P.O.V.
I sat there in the interrogation room. I looked at the strange boy sitting in front of me. I found this boy while I was trying to chase down the Cooper Gang, who were escaping the museum. I shot someone with my shock pistol. I was hoping that it was Sly. It wasn't Sly. It was some sort of strange looking creature. It looked like a human boy. Last time I checked, humans were nothing more than mythical creatures that only existed in folklore or in fairy tales. I guess not.
I now know that humans were real life creatures, not just some sort of mythical fictional creatures that only existed in folklore and fairy tales. I encounted one of these humans in the museum. The human that I had met was a small 10 year old boy. The boy wore some sort of metallic mask over the lower half of his face. He couldn't talk to me nor my partner Constable Neyla. He wrote some statements in a notebook. I answered his statements. The boy's name was Thomas Kore.
Tommy claimed that he knew who Sly Cooper was. He wrote down that Sly was his favorite "video game character", whatever that meant. I then asked Tommy if he was in the Cooper Gang. He said no. He wrote down that he was just a normal 10 year old boy. Tommy then made the mistake of mentioning the fact that I worked for Interpol.
I asked Tommy how he knew that I worked for Interpol. The boy put his notebook away and ran away from me and Constable Neyla really fast. A few minutes later, me and Neyla encountered Sly Cooper. I accused him of stealing the Clockwerk parts. He had the motive. I figured that Sly was returning to the scene of the crime. Then Constable Neyla mentioned that a group called the Klaww Gang might've stolen the Clockwerk parts. I then chased after Sly and his gang. Next thing I knew, I ended up shooting a 15 year old human boy. I wanted to shoot Sly. The Cooper Gang escaped. Then, me and Constable Neyla discovered a boy passed out in the middle of the museum. I decided to take the boy in for questioning. I wanted to know how that boy and his brother ended up in the Cairo Museum of Natural History and what were they in the museum for.
I drove the unconscious teenager back to Interpol HQ in Paris. And there I was, about to interrogate a 15 year old boy. The boy in front of me looked no older than fifteen. The human boy had wild, messy brown hair. He had piercing blue eyes. He had beige colored skin. He wore a dark blue hoodie with black jeans.
The boy started to stir. He slowly awakened. He slowly looked at his surroundings.
"Where am I?" the boy asked groggily.
"You're in the Interpol interrogation room." I said to the boy. "My name is Carmelita Montoya Fox. The person sitting next to me is my partner: Constable Neyla."
"My name is Julius. Julius Kore." the boy said. "I like to be called Julie, Julia or Jules."
"Ok, Julius." I said. "I want to ask you a few questions. Mainly, what were you doing in the Cairo Museum of Natural History for?"
"I don't know." Julius said. "I just woke up there."
"You woke up in a museum?" I asked. "How is that possible? Nobody can just wake up in a museum out of the blue."
"One minute, me and my brother Tommy were playing a video game in my house in Newark, New Jersey, the next minute, lightning struck my TV and me and my brother woke up in the museum." Julius said.
"Bolt of lightning?" Constable Neyla asked. "How can a bolt of lightning striking your television instantly teleport you and your brother from New Jersey to Egypt? That's impossible."
"I don't know how it was possible." Julius said. "But, it's true."
I had a hard time believing the tenage boy's claim of lightning striking his TV and he and his brother somehow ended up in the Cairo Museum of Natural History. It sounded like an episode of Doctor Who. It couldn't possibly be real. I decided to ask this boy another question.
"There was another boy in the museum, too. He said his name was Tommy. He had some sort of metallic mask covering the lower half of his face. He claimed that he knew Sly Cooper. Said that Sly was his favorite "video game character". Care to elaborate."
"I come from a world that looks almost like this one, except that everyone looks like me: a human. Humans like me are the superior creatures. All other animals are much less intelligent, they almost never wear clothes, and almost none of them talk unless they happen to be a bird trained to do so. In my world, you guys, along with Sly and his gang, are nothing more than video game characters." Julius said to me and Constable Neyla.
I was surprised by what the boy just about where he came. I couldn't believe that there existed a world where people that looked like that human boy. It was also surprising that all of the animals in the human world didn't have the ability to talk or walk on 2 feet or hold job professions. The last part about how everybody in this world were video game characters was beyond insane. This kid had to be on some type of drugs because over half of his statements were too crazy to be true.
"Me and Constable Neyla are going let you take a lie detector test to prove that the stuff you are saying is true and not some crazy bullshit you made up!" I told Julius.
"Fine," Julius said. "Take all the tests you want on me. What I'm telling you gals is 100% true."
"Let's just see about that." I said to the boy.
Me and Constable Neyla put the human boy through a lie detector test. We also put him through a drug test. The results of the lie detector test were baffling. It turned out that all of the statements Julius said about his world were true. Me and Neyla couldn't believe it. We thought the lie detector was malfunctioning. It worked perfectly. All of the results were true. The results of the drug test were clean. The boy had no drug history whatsoever. If my boss Chief Barkley found about the test results, he would fire me on the spot. I would lose my job. I didn't want that to happen to me.
So I told Barkley that the results of the lie detector test were negative. Barkley seemed to buy it for now. After finding out that Julius had no criminal background, I let Julius go under the promisd thst he keep a low profile in this world. I didn't want to cause massive hysteria or panic. I then went back to work.
