Lee gives the pouty faced teen a sympathetic look. "Listen to your dad, Sarah. Taking a life, even hurting someone, it.. changes you. I do think that you've got the right idea in mind, wanting to help and all, but.. Not this time. It's too risky." Sarah can only look down, frowning.

"It's for the best, Sarah." Carlos adds. She ignores him.

"How about me? Can I try?" Duck questions. Lee immediately shakes his head.

"No way. You're injured." Duck glares at him, but Jane chimes in with a reason of her own.

"Not to mention reckless." He turns to see his dad with a stern look on his face.

"Dad, come on! Let me-"

"No. I ain't letting you put yourself at risk like that, Duck. You stay here and make sure Sarita's okay." He replies coldly. Duck sighs, rolling his eyes as he walks away.

"What about you?" Sarita asks concerningly.

Kenny stretches his neck out, rubbing his temple. "I'll be fine. Let's get this thing started, now."

Lee nods at him. "Okay, Molly, you-"

"Wait!" All heads turn to Danny's voice. "Please, let me help."

"Ha, good one." Molly mocks.

"After what you did to Alvin and could do to the rest of us? The answer should be obvious." Rebecca hisses.

Danny gets red in the face. "Maybe it is! Maybe I fucked up. Or maybe you oughta hear my side of the story before you throw me out like I'm nothing."

"You are nothing. Just a spineless coward." He winces at her aggression.

"Just hear me out." They don't object further. "Reggie was killed for a reason. Bill was never going to let a guy like him back into the fold. Someone who's nice, easygoing, lazy and peace loving at heart wouldn't have survived his judgment. It was only a matter of time until he was killed."

"You talk about him like he needed to die." Lee comments.

"Me and Reggie got along well. We're both chill dudes who try not to get into trouble. I never wanted him to die, but I never wanted to die either. When all of you left us behind, Bill was going to kill us. He pushed a revolver into our mouths while we were tied up in his office while he decided what to do with us. My ribs still hurt some nights from the abuse we endured." He continues, caressing his scarred body. He's met with a few eyerolls and some very sparse sympathy hidden behind glares.

"Get to the point." Rebecca growls.

He does. "We kissed Carver's ass. We had to. He only let us live after we promised to be useful to him. He broke our minds, our spirits. We only managed to return back to normal, if you can call this normal, after a long period of mental healing. Did we make some bad choices? Of fucking course we did. We were scared. We were scared that any bit of information would be the straw that broke the camel's back, and bang, that'd be it. Unfortunately, Reggie's back broke, and so he was killed, and I would have been next if I didn't tell Bill about what was happening here."

"So you didn't tell him about the walkies. Why?" Mike asks.

Reggie glances at Lee nervously before stammering a response. "I.. I didn't want to say anything at all. But something had to give. You think we were ignorant of how hellish this place is? It's like prison! It is a prison! But if we didn't want the death penalty, we had to grit our teeth and smile." Danny approaches Rebecca, noticing her slouching. He reaches out to her. "I feel awful about Al's death, and I always will, you know that I loved that guy, Becca-"

She stands up and punches him in the stomach. He coughs, clutching his abdomen as he falls to his side. She stands over him. "Don't. Don't call me that. You killed my husband. You're nothing to me. Nothing but a spineless little weasel who deserves to die."

The group closes in on him. He holds his hand out in defense, coughing out some spit. "Please. You can't kill me. I have people to live for. Lee, you know I'm a good man. We talked, y-you know I'm good! I never spilt any of your secrets. I have friends, l-like Justin, who I've known for so long. Vouch for me. Please." His voice is shivering, desperate. Luke returns with the gags and binds, as well as three guns. He notices Danny groveling on the ground and has to look away.

"I, uh.. Got the stuff. Are we ready here?"

"Please.. Just let me help you take this evil fucker down. I don't want to live like this. I'm.. I'm tired of it.. I'm tired of being his puppet." Danny's voice breaks as he begs, unable to find the willpower to stand. Lee sighs, looking down at him pitifully.
