Kei's first battle

Digging herself out from under some rubble, the heavily injured Reas crawls to safety

Reas: *cough, cough* "That light, it came from the direction that Sutherland was…"

[In the sky above the clouds]

Kei: "That was close, we almost didn't make it in time."

A man that had lost his previous anger and aggression now sat beside Kei on sutherland's wyvern

Sutherland: "To be saved by you not just once but twice, how pathetic"

Kei noticing the sudden change in Sutherland chose his words carefully as to not rile him up

Kei: "We're not in the clear yet, after the battle we can clear up our disagreements, for now I've got your back."

Jarran: "It seems the worst of it has passed, I will begin descent now… I just hope the others are safe."

Kei: "hold on a second jarran, there's something I wanna do. [smirks] I've recovered my stamina so I think it's about time I called for a bit of reinforcement."

Jarran and Sutherland: "Reinforcement!?"

[amongst the rubbles of the mountain]

A huge rock is sent crashing on the ground away from Phantom black. The insect was visibly hurt and was barely able to stand but he kept his cool and started to think.

Phantom black: "[breathes heavily] That explosion almost took me out. It must have been lady bomb. What the hell possessed her to use such a powerful explosive against that human."

Amber dragon: "So… you're still alive after all"

Phantom black's eyes widened as he looked up to see the Red and golden armamented dragon hovering above the ground almost completely unscathed by the massive explosion.

Phantom Black: "B-but how? How could you have possibly escaped such an explosion without so much as a scratch!?"

The dragon lands on the ground with an intense look

Amber dragon daylight: "It's about time we ended this fight. I don't have much more time to waste on a small fry like you."

Phantom black: "A small fry!?"

Phantom black in a state of blinding rage picks up his iron club and swings it down the amber dragon. The club is blocked and broken by one of the dragon's golden wings. Daylight then extrudes his claws and stabs phantom black right in the gut.

Phantom black: "Ack!"

Blood spews from Phantom Black's mouth

Phantom black: "Dammit, I can't believe I let you get me like that"

"From the moment I took this form the outcome was sealed, now sleep peacefully" these were the final words Phantom black heard before his vision faded and he collapsed.

Amber dragon: "Now, my priority is finding out if everyone managed to survive that explosion"

Just then the dragon heard the voice of a girl calling out to him in desperation.

Reas: "captain!"

Amber dragon daylight quickly reverts to his dawn form and flies towards her

Amber dragon: "Reas, over here!"

Reas saw the dragon flying towards her and couldn't help but shed a tear. She was not sure if anyone else had survived so seeing the dragon put her mind a bit at ease and gave her hope.

Amber dragon: "Reas, i'm so happy to see that you've surv-"

As soon as dawn was in her reach she smothered him and started tearing up even more.

Reas: "[sniffling] Thank you for being alive"

Amber dragon: " It's ok, I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. Don't worry about the others either, they'll be just fine"

Reas tightened her grip and buried her head in the small dragon's chest.

Amber dragon inspected Reas closely and concluded she was no longer able to fight in her present condition.

Amber Dragon: "So I guess this means you're finally stepping into the fray now huh"

Amber dragon clutches Reas tightly and turns his head sideways to look at the large man sized beetle carrying two guns.

Bloody Hercules: "That's right"

Amber dragon: "Isn't it a bit too late for that, your comrades have all been defeated. Why would you choose to continue this meaningless fight?"

"On my orders ofcourse, what other reason does he need?"

A young boy with light purple hair and green eyes suddenly walks up beside Bloody Hercules.

Amber dragon: "o-on your orders? then you're their leader…"

Reas could feel the dragon's rage increasing. His piercing gaze set on the boy is suddenly interrupted by a woman with a face and lower body resembling a bee.

Karma Queen: "You dare to look at master osami with such a distasteful gaze, I'll dispose of you myself!"

Osami: "Calm down now karma Queen, [...Grins…] we don't want to kill him too quick now. I want to capture and torture them for disposing of the others like they did."

Karma queen: "But of course master, It shall be done"

Reas releases Amber dragon and finds cover behind him. She knows she will be of no use in a fight in her condition. All she can do is hope for the best outcome.

Amber dragon stands and faces the trio. His claws extrudes and his teeth sharpens, he clearly has no intention of backing down

Karma flies towards the dragon with her stinger forward. The dragon narrowly dodges and draws her away from Reas.

Annoyed that her attack doesn't land, she tries again, fully focusing on the dragon. With her unexpected increase in speed, Amber dragon is barely able to dodge her stinger but is kicked away.

Karma Queen: "So weak, I can't believe you were able to beat Phantom black"

Bloody Hercules: "He's able to transform into a stronger form. For some reason he's not doing it right now, it must take a lot of energy"

Karma Queen: "So that's how you took down that cold blooded killer. Then I must kill you before you get the chance to transform!"

Amber Dragon: "Took you long enough"

Bloody Hercules: "Karma Queen stop!"

Karma Queen is stopped from advancing by a bullet piercing her left shoulder

Karma Queen: "A-aargh!"

Reas looks to the sky smiling with tears streaming down her face.

Reas: "Y-you idiots, don't make me worry about you like that"

She could see Sutherland, Kei and Jarran flying on the back of Jarran's cyborg wyvern.

Bloody Hercules: "What's this, he's alive?"

Osami: "That green haired one, he's the one you said was fighting lady bomb isn't he. I wonder how he survived her death explosive"

Bloody Hercules: "The famed cyborg wyvern of the Dragon Empire, Said to be able to move at supersonic speeds. I have no doubt that thing was responsible."

Sutherland: "Hey captain, you look like you're in a bit of a pickle here."

Kei: "Mind if we help you out a bit."

Amber dragon: "Of Course not. What took you so long"

Sutherland: "well…"

Kei: "You'll see soon…"

Amber dragon: " I'm not really fond of surprises"

Kei: "Well I bet this is one you'll love"

Sutherland: "Hey, what's with those teary eyes of yours. How many times do I have to tell you never to show weakness to your opponents in battle…"

Reas hugs Sutherland tightly before he could finish his scolding. Sutherland's body relaxes and embraces Reas.

Reas: "I hate you…"

Sutherland: "I know, I know. Rest up now, we'll take it from… wait a second, did you just say you hate me?"

Reas suddenly tightens her grip on Sutherland's neck and begins to choke him. He gasps desperately for air until she releases him.

Sutherland: "I-im dying! Reas l-let go. Ack!"

Reas: "That's for making me think the worst might have happened. If it weren't for the captain it would have been over for me already. Promise me you won't let my life be in danger like that again!"

Sutherland: "But I-"

Reas: "Promise!"

Sutherland: "I-i promise. After we're done here I'll do whatever you want to make it up to you too so let me go!"

Reas: "[sniffles…] fine."

Reas releases her grip and allows Sutherland to fill his lungs with essential air

Karma Queen: "You bastard, How dare you shoot me!"

Sutherland: "Well since you hate it so much i'd gladly do it again you know"

Karma Queen: "You're going to pay for piercing my skin like that, die!"

Bloody Hercules: "losing your temper and charging will do nothing but give them the advantage, I suggest you calm down"

Karma Queen: "I don't answer to you so don't you dare give me orders!"

Osami: "Now karma queen, he's right, you need to calm down. If you don't, I might have to tell my brother of this insubordination."

Karma Queen: "I-i did not mean any disrespect towards you young master I was just…"

Osami: "It's ok, just come back here."

Karma queen followed the boy's orders without resistance.

Sutherland: "That's weird, I think I remember you telling me to die just a second ago, that's not gonna happen if your too scared of that kid to make it happen you know"

Karma queen stood silently

Osami: "1…2…3…4, including the girl and wyvern, that's 6 opponents that need to be dealt with. Seems the scales are a bit lopsided at the moment. You have twice the amount of pieces we do, it's a bit unfair don't you think."

Kei stood with one hand in his pocket and looked at the boy in confusion

Kei: " Pieces? unfair? You speak as if this is all just a game to you"

Osami: "Well, [...grins…] isn't it?"

The boy's body begins to emit a bright purple light. His eyes were filled with malice and his face was twisted with pleasure. He laughed hysterically before continuing to speak.

Kei's body reacts to the aura, sensing that danger approaches. For a moment Kei's face is filled with horror at the malice directed at him and his allies

"This should even the playing field quite a bit. Rise from the underworld, avatar of evil! Hell Spider"

The shift in the air immediately put everyone on guard

The green symbol of megacolony appears in front of the boy and slowly begins to form into a creature.

Reas: "He has power just like Kei, he's a vanguard!"

Amber Dragon: "This feeling! whatever he's calling it doesn't look good. We have to deal with him before he finishes his summoning.

Sutherland and Jarran: "Right!"

Amber dragon, Sutherland and jarran rushes towards the boy but is quickly intercepted by bloody hercules and Karma Queen

Karma Queen: "Oh no you don't!"

Karma queen spews a sicky yellow liquid from her mouth which catches Amber dragon off guard.

Amber dragon: "Crap, I can't move! You two stop him"

Sutherland tries to shoot the boy but Bloody Hercules hits the bullet with one of his own.

Sutherland: "No way!? How'd he?"

Jarran manages to fly his wyvern above everyone.

Jarran: "Perfect, now I have a clear shot. Whatever that thing is, I won't let you call it. Face my fiery judgment!"

Karma Queen: "oh no!"

Jarran places his hand on the wyvern's neck, the wyverns mouth then opens and launches a precise beam of fire at the boy.

Bloody Hercules: "Too late!"

The beam causes a huge explosion and smokescreen to form. The fate of the boy was unknown for a few moments before…

"Hissssssssss!"

… the smoke is dispersed revealing the boy standing behind a horrifying creature. It stood on four legs with four arms attached to its back, its black spiky hair ran down it's back, it's green scaly, reptilian skin seemed as tough as iron and it's jaws could seem to detach itself.

The creature was able to deflect jarran's beam of fire and withstand the explosion. Jarran was so stunned at his attack being dealt with so easily that he was caught off guard by Hell spider's attack. It opened its mouth and spewed a white sticky substance that restricted jarran and his wyvern's movement. They were sent hurling into the ground and unable to move.

Jarran: "Damn, I can't get this thing off of me, it feels like it's draining my strength…"

Osami: "Now that did well to even the playing field a bit more didn't it"

Kei was furious after hearing the words of the boy and seeing what had just happened jarran.

Kei: "You bastard, you think our lives are so insignificant that you can just toy with them however you see fit. I'll make you pay!"

Amber dragon dawn: "What's this? I can feel my energy increasing all of a sudden"

Amber dragon suddenly grows into his stronger adult form named daylight and burns himself out of Karma queen's trap.

Karma Queen: "What's this?!"

Kei: "no more! I will avenge those lives you needlessly sacrificed, you bastard!"

Osami: "kuh! I'd love to see you try!"

Karma Queen: "How'd you escape so quickly, you puny dragon? [nervously laughs and stumbles backwards] this form you've taken?!"

Amber Dragon: "Move it you wasp!"

Amber dragon flies at Karma queen with incredible speed intending to quickly slice her into two pieces. She sees her imminent death but is helpless to stop this surprising assault or to protect herself.

Karma Queen: "Oh no, he's too fast. I can't escape!"

Amber dragon's claw is stopped by the intervention of a gun held by the incredibly powerful Hercules. Cold sweats drip down Karma Queen's face at the realization that her life has just been spared.

Amber dragon: "He stopped my attack, even while I'm in this form?"

The dragon changes his attention to the immediate threat and tries to cut Bloody Hercules' head off. He easily blocks the attack again and fires his other gun at the dragon's head. The bullet is deflected by a bullet from sutherland.

Bloody Hercules: "You!?"

Sutherland: "Now we're even"

Amber dragon takes advantage of Hercules' moment of distraction and aims straight for his chest. Amber dragon plunges his claw into the Beatles skin but it quickly reacts and uses his bandolier to keep the wound as shallow as possible. He jumps backwards to get space and recomposes himself.

Osami: "Go ahead and deal with these pests now Hell spider. Hercules and Karma queen, back him up."

Reas: "Oh no, this doesn't look good."

Sutherland: "Get back to a safe distance Reas, it looks like things are about to get a bit messy"

Reas: "A-alright"

As Sutherland watches the enemies approach, Reas obeys his request and tries to move away.

Kei: "I'm not going to run away…"

Sutherland: "I don't recall asking you to, but if you intend on staying you better make yourself useful"

Kei: "Yeah, I got it…"

Hercules lunges at dawn with incredible speed and power. Daylight's face is met head on with strong punch which sends him flying backwards into the ground in front of reas

Sutherland: "Oh no, Captain!"

Reas: "C-captain, are you alright?"

Amber dragon: "Run reas, quickly"

Reas: "Y-yes"

Amber dragon: "So powerful and fast. A few more of those and I think I might die."

Sutherland is suddenly assaulted by hell spiders web, but he is able to dodge by jumping into the air. He lands, but is then grabbed by Hell spider who got behind him before he could even realize. All four of his limbs are then restrained by the four limbs on it's back.

Sutherland: "Damn it!"

Osami: "Karma queen, quickly dispose of that girl over there. None of them will escape me."

Sutherland: "Leave her alone you piece of shit!"

Hell spider tightens his hold and begins to rip sutherland's limbs from his body

Sutherland: "Ack… Aaarrrggg!"

Sutherland's painful screams catches Reas' hear and makes her aware of her pursuer. She begins to run faster but is unable to escape quickly in her injured state. She knows it is only a matter of time before she is caught and killed but she keeps moving.

Daylight tries to protect her but is unable due to Bloody hercules' interference.

Bloody Hercules: "Your not going anywhere"

Amber dragon: "Damn you… Run Reas!"

Kei who had sneakily been moving around the battlefield ran up behind Osami with a knife

Kei: "you left yourself wide open!"

Osami: [smiles…] "Oh, did I?"

Hell spider moves into the path of the knife. The knife breaks on contact with his skin.

Kei: "How'd it get here so quick!?"

Hell spider then uses one of his two remaining arms to swat kei away like a fly while it stands on two feet with Sutherland pinned on it's back.

Sutherland: "Run you idiot!"

Kei lands on the ground and grunts in pain

Osami: "Now you die. Finish them both hell spider"

Sutherland: "Ack! It's about to rip my goddamn arms off!"

*feet shuffling nearby*

Reas: "She's about to catch me, i'm dead for sure"

*wings flapping in the distance*

Jarran: "This damned web, not even my wyvern can escape. They need me!"

*feet shuffling getting closer*

Amber dragon: "I can't get past him, he's too strong for me even in this form"

*Wings flapping getting closer*

Kei: *cough, cough* "no, I won't let it happen, I won't die here. You damn wyvern knight, where the hell are you!"

[Ten minutes earlier above the clouds]

Just like Jarran, another Knight on a blue and white wyvern appeared using Kei's power.

Sutherland: "No way, he actually managed to do it again!?

Jarran: "To be able to summon or speak to someone you've never met, such an incredible power."

Kei: "There is a limit to this power, it takes a tremendous amount of my stamina [breathes heavily and has beads of sweat running down his face] and according to Amber dragon, is very dependent upon the user's power of imagination, whatever that means. If it weren't for Amber dragon I wouldn't have been able to summon the both of you. I didn't have time to learn about our other allies so unfortunately, you are the only two that I can call to our aid at the moment.

Wyvern strike, Tejas: "I see, so that's the situation. He was wise to teach you of jarran and myself, we are quite useful in aerial and ground combat after all. Before I join you however, I realize we- are currently located above the crest mountains, am I correct?"

Sutherland: "Yeah that's right, this is where those megacolony bastards ambushed us."

Tejas: "Then that provides us with quite an advantage"

Jarran: "Wait a second wyvern strike commander, you don't mean"

Tejas: "He may be retired but his power is legendary. I doubt he'd be too fond of what is happening in his territory. I will join you on the battlefield once i've retrieved his aid"

[...In the present]

One of Hell spider's arms falls to the floor releasing Sutherland's right arm. The surprising sight stunned Kei and Osami

Hell spider: "Raaawwwwrrrr!"

Osami: "What the hell?!"

Sutherland uses his free arm to pull out his gun and shoot the rest of Hell spider's arms that were holding him. Hell Spider was now clearly in a tremendous amount of pain, his screams filled the battlefield.

Karma Queen: "Now I've finally caught you brat, die!"

Karma queen brought her stinger forward to pierce Reas but was stopped by a wyvern's tail hitting her out of the sky."

A knight fully clad in silver armor carrying a sword and shield, cut the webs that were restricting jarran.

Jarran: "Wyvern strike commander, you've finally arrived!"

Wyvern strike tejas: "Yes old friend, I'm sorry it took so long"

…

Bloody Hercules: "What's this?"

Daylight: "the tide of this battle has changed. Kei has proven himself to be indispensable in this fight."

Bloody Hercules: "I see, from where I'm standing however, those tides just as easily can be changed back."

Daylight does his best to keep bloody hercules focused on him by avoiding close combat and dodging his gun bullets from afar.

…

Sutherland: "I'm finally free… Thanks Tejas"

Tejas: "It's no problem, now… let's deal with these nuisance"

A blue and white wyvern hovers above tejas' head.

Osami: There were more of you this entire time?! You're a cheater!"

Kei: "And you're nothing but scum"

Osami: "Kill them all right now, hell spider!"

Tejas jumps on the back of his wyvern.

Tejas: "Clear out, now you two!

Sutherland picks Kei off the ground and begins to run.

Osami: "Oh no you dont'!"

Tejas: "Over here you fool!"

A missile is launched at the boy from beneath the wyverns wing.

Osami: "What the!?"

Hell spider jumps in front of the boy and takes the missile head on. The smoke cleared to show the creature still alive.

Tejas: "I'm going to need more fire power to finish that thing. Jarran I need you to-"

The clouds split apart but the sky became darker. Sutherland drops Kei and begins to stare at the sky.

Kei: "What in the world is that thing…?"

Sutherland: "A powerful warrior from long ago that has hidden away for over a decade, A legend in the empire."

Kei The Crested dragon"

Crest Dragon: "Roooaaarrr!"

The dragon throws its massive blade at Hell spider.

Crest dragon: "Behold my Violet Steel Blade! Crescent Blaze!"

Hell spider was too weakened from the missile to dodge the incoming attack. It picks the boy up and throws him as far as it possibly could.

Osami: "Hell spider noooo!"

Boom! The spider's weakened body was completely eviscerated from the dragon's attack. The blade created a large crater and the surrounding erupted in intense flames. The dragon lands beside his blade in the sea of fire, picks it up and let's out a war cry that would send fear into the hearts of all his enemies.

Bloody Hercules: "What the hell is going on, where did that dragon come from!?"

Amber dragon: "that look on your face tells me that you don't know. Where we're currently fighting, the crest mountains is the territory of that dragon. It was awarded to him for all of his services to the empire. Congratulations, you were foolish enough to wake the sleeping dragon."

Bloody Hercules: "grrr… We have no other choice now but to retreat for now it seems"

Hercules glances over in Osami's direction, the boy seems stunned because of what just happened

Bloody Hercules: "You've pushed us into a corner now. That was a bad idea"

Osami held down his head and grinned uncontrollably. He seemed to be ecstatic about his current situation.

Sutherland: "hey look, the brat's laughing"

Kei: "What's so funny…?"

Osami: "I never thought I'd be pushed so far. Now i'm left with only two underlings, and I have to fight a fucking dragon. I won't just lay down and die like a dog!"

His grin widened and his light purple aura became visible. He held onto his chest as if he was in pain and his aura became more and more dense.

Osami: "So this is what summoning more than one grade 3 avatar a day feels like, I apologize brother, you said not to but now I'm left with no other choice."

[Approximately 7 months ago]

"You heard our older brother, never try to summon more than one grade three avatar in a battle. You're not strong enough to handle the amount of strain it puts on you mentally or physically yet, your sickly body is simply not suited for it."

Osami: "But brother I was close, I know I can do it…"

"Your not ready just yet, in a couple years maybe" *walks away*

[In the present]

Osami: "I know I can do it! Aaarrrggghhh!"

*pop*

Bloody Hercules: "no wait, something is wrong! Osami, stop it now!"

Osami: "It's too late to show them mercy, I'll kill them! I summon the almighty! …"

The boy's mouth, ears and nose suddenly erupts uncontrollably with blood and he falls to his knees.

Osami: "What's happened to me…? Why am I bleeding so much! Aaaaahhhhh!"

His fearful screams reached all over the battlefield, it signified the end of this battle."

Osami: "Noooo… this can't be happening to me!"

He slightly loses consciousness and falls over but he is caught by Bloody hercules.

Bloody hercules: "You fool what have you done! you pushed your body past its limits."

Osami: "I really thought I could handle it. Please save me… I don't want to die"

Osami begged over and over not to die with tears flowing down his cheeks.

Bloody hercules: "You are just an eleven year old kid, you don't deserve to die on the battlefield like this. However, I could say the same for the dozens of innocent people you slaughtered on the way here."

Bloody Hercules pulls out one of his handguns and curdles the boy tightly.

Osami: "What are you…?"

'Crack'

The boy now laid on the ground inside a pool of his own blood. Hercules looked up to see that he was now surrounded by enemies. Kei seemed annoyed by what just took place in front of him.

Kei: "Why did you just do that, weren't you his subordinate?"

Bloody Hercules: "The fool did not know when to give up. The price for that foolishness was his life. That goes for all my comrades that died today as well"

Sutherland: "So what now, do you expect us to let you go or something"

Bloody Hercules: "Not at all, i'm fully prepared to bargain for my life"

Amber Dragon: "Bargain huh, and what exactly do you have to offer in exchange for your life?"

Bloody Hercules: "I'm quite confident in my ability to take down at least one of you before I meet my end so I offer a peaceful resolution to this conflict. If that is not good enough I can also offer to you information, no it's more of a warning"

Kei: "A warning? What is it?"

The beetle picks up the body of the boy and begins to slowly walk towards Kei and sutherland. Sutherland had his guns at the ready but Kei gestured to everyone to let him go free.

Bloody Hercules: "Excellent choice… A faction of megacolony is planning something big, They've set up multiple bases on this continent. The higher ups have not passed down specifics of what the plan is but the dark zone, united sanctuary and even the dragon empire may be pulled into a massive conflict very soon. watch your backs very carefully."

Bloody hercules then disappear in the mountains out of everyone's view shortly afterwards. Amber dragon reverts back to his small form

Amber dragon: "So the megacolony organization has made a move huh, we must inform the empire of this quickly."

Tejas: "Can you feel it jarran, the winds have changed. It would seem we are finally being casted into a new era. One of massive conflicts and turmoil "

Jarran: "Yes, it's quite the unsettling feeling"

Tejas flies over to the area of the large dragon

Tejas: "I must thank you for coming to help us, it's good to know we have the aid of someone as legendary as yourself backing us"

Crested Dragon: "Awaking from my long slumber and tasting battle, what could have been better."

Tejas: "I see, that's good to hear then, will you return to your slumber or do you plan on fighting for the empire once again"

Crested Dragon: "I will return to my peace…"

Crested dragon then turns his attention to Kei

"…The world is about to be shaken up, I'm curious to see what you will do. Will you be at the center of a storm or will you take shelter like a mouse"

The dragon split the sky and flew back to it's nest leaving his final words to Kei

"I'll be watching"

…

Reas laid on a rock a few hundred meters away from where the battle was taking place

Sutherland: "so you managed to survive huh,"

Reas: "Of Course I did, there's no way i'd die before you"

Sutherland chuckled at how ridiculous her statement sounded and picked her up

Sutherland: "C'mon let's go home now"

Reas smiled and buried her head in his chest

Reas: "Yeah…"

…

Kei: "Huh?"

Reas: "Hop on already Kei"

Sutherland: "Yeah it's not that big of a deal dumbass, get on the damned wyvern already!"

Kei: "No way, I was only on that thing for a bit but I never wanna do that again, it flies way too fast"

Jarran: "Then you prefer to walk?"

Kei: "-well… truthfully I might"

Amber dragon Dawn: "Even still you have no idea where to go so you really have no other choice"

Tejas knocks Kei out and puts him on the back of his wyvern,

Tejas: "Hold him tightly captain"

Amber dragon: "I guess that was the most effective method. No matter, no one tell him what happened, is that understood"

Everyone: "Yessir!"

…

[ A few miles away from the crest mountains]

A wasp woman is flying away from the crest mountains with an ant man

Karma Queen: "I can't believe we've been forced to retreat like a bunch of cowards, how dare they do that to members of Megacolony!"

Phantom Black: "Nothing we can do about it now, we were soundly defeated. The boss man definitely won't be happy about this."

Karma Queen: "ugh! Those bastards will pay!"
