The morning has came to greet every living beings in the world. And Meiko just went to a neighbourhood located in the other side of the Golden City.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Meiko repeatedly knocked the door of her friend's house. However, there was no response from the inside, much to her own chagrin.
Perhaps Meiko just came in the wrong time. Her friend probably was busy treating her patients outside there. Well, she's a physician after all. Without any other choice left, Meiko then walked away from the main door.
However, as Meiko reached the street, she spotted a certain blue-haired guy came from another direction. And that guy was none other than Kaito himself.
"Eh?"
Both of them were surprised to see each other in there, making their faces blushed.
"Oh...hi..." Meiko awkwardly greeted him.
"Hello" Kaito nervously greeted back. "I'm never expecting to meet you here"
"Same as me"
"So...what's your name?" Kaito asked.
"Meiko" she introduced herself. "I'm a shamaness"
"I'm Kaito, a sorcerer"
"Nice to meet you, Kaito"
Both of them slowly shaking their hands. There was a gap of silence for a few seconds before Meiko began to talk with him.
"What are you doing here?" Meiko asked.
"Just taking some fresh air" Kaito answered. "What about you?"
"I want to meet my friend, but unfortunately she's not at home right now" Meiko said. "Perhaps I need to come again later"
Since Meiko was here, perhaps Kaito can spend his time with her.
"Meiko?"
"Yes?"
"What about if..."

"Your younger sister?"
Inside a tavern, Meiko and Kaito sat in front of each other on the same table. There were two wooden mugs of date palm wine on their table.
"Yes, her name is Miku, and she's a junior priestess of Selene" Meiko explained briefly.
"I see"
Kaito briefly glanced away for a few seconds.
"Actually, I'm sorry for asking you this, but..."
Meiko took a sip from her mug.
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
Meiko accidentally spewed her drink, yet she quickly directed her face away.
"Boyfriend?" Meiko wiped her mouth.
"Yeah, a boyfriend. Sorry for asking about it" Kaito scratched his head.
"Ah, about that...I never dated anyone before" Meiko admitted. "What about you?"
"Maybe this sounds absurd to you, but I got rejected by the other girls for 277 times" Kaito said.
"Seriously!?" Meiko was a bit shocked.
Kaito only could nod with a frown.
"Maybe they aren't attracted with my personality, or perhaps I'm not really good at trying to win their heart" Kaito sighed.
Meiko started staring at her surroundings.
At the other side of the tavern, Meiko spotted a young guy couple chatting with each other. She wondered if dating with someone could be a lovely moment for her.
Especially with a nice guy like Kaito...
"Mei-chan?"
Meiko quickly directed her attention back to him.
"Sorry, I got distracted" Meiko apologized.
"By the way, I want to tell you something" Kaito said.
"What's it?"

"He got rejected for almost 300 times?" Miku was surprised to hear it.
Both of them were currently sat together in the kitchen. And for today, they're eating grilled fish for lunch.
"I'm not lying, okay? That's what he told me" Meiko pouted.
"Alright, alright..."
Miku began to smile as she was thinking of something.
"Maybe this is perfect chance for you to date him" Miku suggested.
"Dating him? Are you sure?" Meiko was uncertain.
"Mei-chan, I don't think he's going to reject you! Besides, having a girlfriend is his main dream, right?" Miku said in cheerful manner.
Meiko's face blushed.
"Come on! You said that you do love him, right?" Miku stated.
"Fine, I'll try to talk with him again" Meiko replied.
"So, did you ever planned to meet him again?" Miku asked.
"Not sure yet, but..." Meiko tried to finish her sentence "He told me that I can visit him at the Library Tower if I want to"
"Then how about if you go there tomorrow?" Miku suggested.
"EH!?" Meiko was shocked. "Miku, are you sure!?"
"Come on! At least you can make a try!"
Meiko sighed. She wasn't sure if she should listen to Miku's idea or not.
