Chapter seven- Rush week

well Rush week starts tomorrow and both Chris and I are pledging because one of my potential new 'sisters' mentioned to be in a sorority you have to either one -be a girl or two- be in a girl related activity and in a cruel twist of fate Chris was once a sunflower girl oh what a ironic world we live in. Juliet walks over to me
Juliet: Okay, so the girls and I have been looking through the rule book all day and there's nothing that says that Chris cannot join so unfortunately we have to let Chris rush penalty for not doing so could result in termination for our sorority
Me: it's Okay I completely understand I wouldn't want this sorority to shut down because of Chris or I
let's Face it this sorority is Juliet's whole life she is head of the house I don't want to take one of the best things in her life away from her
Juliet: So,tonight is freelance, what are you gonna do?
Me: I don't know...sing
Juliet: cool. but it's only right to tell you Chris is going to be singing to...some song called "Time to change"
Me: surprise,surprise our first big hi-
Juliet: Cindy, is there something you're not telling me about you and Chris?
If I tell Juliet the truth she'll shut me out but i hate lying to her i take a deep breath and look her right in the eyes
me: okay, there is something I haven't been completely honest about...Chris' real name is peter and he's my step-brother
Juliet:he's your step-brother!? Cindy, that's just disturbing. we can't have you two in the same sorority...so you better make sure he doesn't get through rush. see you later Cindy
She gets up and leaves me alone again, Chris' singing has really improved in the past years. I need to figure out a better song choice than Chris... I decide to call Greg. thankfully he's at home
Greg: Hello?
Me: Greg?
Greg: Cindy? it's great to hear from you, how are you?
Me: i'm fine I'm in the beginning of rush week for a sorority here in Italy
Greg: a sorority?
Me:yeah,but guess who else is pledging?
Greg:Peter
Me: how did you guess?
Greg:he called me for our first song lyrics
Me:of course he did but listen i need you to give me a name of a better song
Greg:another one of our originals?
Me:if you have it
Greg:What about "we can make the world a whole lot brighter"?
