"Put her on, Lowell. Please." Lee begs, holding the microphone closely.

"I do this, you owe me an explanation." The man replies on the other end.

"I already owe you an explanation. I do this, I owe you and your squad deluxe treatment back home."

"Deal." There's a beat of silence as the walkie talkie is held over Lilly's lips. Finally, she's able to speak to him.

"...Lee? It's really you?"

Lee's face immediately brightens. "Lilly! Yeah, it's me, from the Motor Inn! Are you okay?"

"Aside from being caught by a bunch of people with guns and no respect for their fellow survivors, I'm peachy. Where are you? What are your people gonna do to me?" She asks wearily, that toughness still strong in her voice.

"Nothing, they won't touch you. Tell them to bring you back to Howe's. We can talk in person." Lee assures her.

"Lee.. I dunno.."

"Please, just trust us. We had a bad day today, but we have as much supplies as you could dream of. Anything you want, we have and more. Please come over."

"Okay. Just for the supplies." He can practically hear the smile in her voice. He smiles back.

"And to catch up."

"And to catch up." She repeats.

Lowell takes back the radio. "Anything else?"

"Just get back here carefully. The herd's still outside, and they've infiltrated the inside now too. So be careful on your way back."

"Hello? Lowell?"

Stan takes the walkie back. "I think his battery died. Must have just about used up the last of it. Tyler knows the way back, they'll be fine."

"I think you should take a rest now, Lee. We've got a lot of fighting to do tomorrow." Carley says, holding his wrist.

"All of us should, really. Y'all get some sleep and we'll wake someone up for watch duty in an hour." Pete suggests.

Danny turns his head, raising his hand. "Oh, I can do it."

"Sure, you and Justin." Pete replies. Danny and Justin look at each other, the latter with a hint of frustration at having to stay up longer. Danny tries to force a smile. Everyone disperses, each walking to their sitting areas. Lee finally gets a chance to rest tonight, both of Clem's pseudo parents sitting next to her, snuggled up on each side.

"So… excited to see Lilly again, huh?" Lee's eyes jolt open. He feels like he's on the spot, here.

"Yeah, you could say that." He mutters in response. Clem listens in.

"Just remember how your last interaction with her went, Lee. 'Cause I haven't forgotten." Carley whispers. Lee slowly closes his eyes again.

"Goodnight, Carley."

"Night."

He doesn't get any sleep. Maybe an hour, at best. Lilly. Something about her enamored him back then, and now she wouldn't leave his mind. He wondered what it had been like out there, if she ever thought of him - of them. It didn't matter, right? He'd see her again.

The sun shines down refreshingly on the roof of the hardware store. The group is awoken (minus Luke and Jane, who had last watch) by a not so refreshing sound: Rebecca groaning in pain. "Hey, hey, you're okay, it's okay, just.. Just breathe." Luke whispers, comforting her by her side.

"It's not okay." Rebecca hisses back, holding her belly. Lee, Clem, Shel, Becca, Pete, Nick and Jane crowd around her. Luke raises his hands in defense.

"Okay.. okay, it's not okay, sure. But it will be." Luke stutters. Rebecca glares at him while he looks away.

"What's going on?" Lee questions, the rest of the group (sans Carlos, a pale Shawn, Stan, Kenny and Molly) joining the circle around the pregnant woman.

"Rebecca's in pain. Contractions, I think." Jane answers.

"Yes, contractions." Rebecca firmly states, breathing heavily.

"That means it's close, right?" Ben questions nervously.

"We don't have long, that's for certain." Pete confirms.

"So what are we waiting for? We gotta clear out the store." Nick confidently says. Luke nods at him, staying crouched down to Rebecca's level.

"Nick's right. I won't sugarcoat it, Rebecca, it's… it's gonna make you scream like hell, alright," She gives him a pained look. "and if you have this baby on the roof, the lurkers will hear you, and will make it their life's goal to bust down that door and kill everyone here. So we oughta clear the store and we oughta do it quickly."

"Yeah.. yeah, do it." Rebecca gasps out.

"So, what, right now?" Justin asks.

"Yeah, right now. It's our best shot." Danny replies.

Lee leads, getting everyone's attention by raising his voice. "In that case, we'll need a plan. I say we send a team of four gunmen down to snuff out the horde with brute force, a team of two as cover for that team, and the rest to stay up here and cover this door. I'm going down, so I'll also bring…"
