Curses have been around as long as wishes. The human heart feeling into each with such emotion and desire that most times its sin. WIshes turn to curses and curses come with a price. For Kagome, it was the price of relaxing. She could see the disgusting things and was usually the only one around to take care of them. That was enough to get her noticed by the Shaman back then just like it was now.

Kagome sighs softly as she sweeps the shrine grounds. The famous Gojo Satoru and his student Fushiguro Megumi were in the area and knowing the older Shaman, he would find a reason to stop by. The relaxing silence is short-lived as the pair appears at the bottom of her steps.

"Kagome! You home?!" Gojo shouts with a smirk as they get make their way up the stairs. Kagome rolls her eyes and turns away from the entrance to continue sweeping. "Of course she is," the older male chuckles. "We wouldn't be here otherwise."

"She should have ran when she had the chance," Fushiguro sighs boredly.

"Long time no see!" Gojo says, ignoring his student as he greets the female.

"I saw you last week," Kagome deadpans turning around. The man was relentless, she would give him that. The Strongest Shaman had a knack for getting under her skin, however.

"Ah, but a week can change a person." He was trying to be sly, causing Kagome to tighten her grip on the broom.

"My answer is still no." She was done with the adventure, with the battles for life and death. Perhaps she should move out to the countryside. It would be quiet and peaceful.

"But you know you would be better off with us," Gojo nearly whines out. Kagome shakes her head.

"I don't care," Kagome sighs. "If this is all you want to talk about you can go now."

"Aww, 'Gome don't be like tha-"

"Have a great day," she says through clenched teeth before turning away to get back to her chores.

That was the last time she had seen either of the two in a few months. Worry was starting to set in knowing their line of work and what extremes it gets to. It was exactly what she didn't want to get back into. No matter what her soul was telling her, she didn't want to go back. She didn't want to go back to the unknown enemy, endless battle, unpredictable days and events, right?

Right?

An: This idea just kinda popped up so I'm gonna go with it, so a test run maybe? This might actually go somewhere but who knows.
