Aside from her occasional exorcism, the months have been quiet and boring at the Higurashi shrine. Those who would wonder up the steps could find her working alone throughout the grounds. "What a wonderful Shrine Maid you are," most say, usually the older folks. It was getting old fast and with each passing day it made Kagome almost wish for that insane Shaman to appear and ask her to join his secret life.

Heading inside for the day, Kagome sighs softly. If she was older she wouldn't have the same pent up energy at the end of the day. This was the life she had half expected for herself but with Inuyasha at her side and not in the present time.

Another sigh passes her lips as she pushes those thoughts aside and picks up a pen. Writing down her thoughts on the sheet of paper, she yawns slightly as the sheer boredom exhausts her. She writes to her penpal; who had been slightly neglected over the years; asking if she should meet her in her town to escape the city shrine. Kugisaki Nobara felt like a little sister she had yet to meet, the years of letters carefully hidden away for her to cherish.

Yet the last letter from Nobara had her confused. She said something about a surprise within the week she had gotten the reply. Perhaps she had sent Kagome a package or something of the sort. Whatever it may be, it gave the bored girl something to look forward to.

Fushiguro gently shakes his head at his peer's childishness with their sensei. "Sightseeing" this and "Disneyland" that. It was annoying.

"Wait! We're in Tokyo!" Nobara gasps loudly. "There's someone I have to see first!" The three males stare at her confused. "I'm sure her Shrine is nearby."

"Shrine?" Gojo questions cluelessly as Fushiguro glances at him.

"Yes, the Sunset Shrine," she huffs out. Gojo smiles widely, now having enough leverage over the stubborn Miko.

"Why didn't you say so sooner?" he cheers. "We know exactly where that is, don't we, Megumi?" Said male closes his eyes with a light sigh.

Itadori on the other hand was beyond confused. Something about a Shrine at sunset? Whatever it is he wasn't sure he wanted to find out. "Can we go then?" Nobara nearly begs.

"Of course, of course," Gojo fans his hand towards her dismissively. He leads the way to the Shrine, excitement rushing through him at the possibly of her finally agreeing to join them. Steps in sight, Nobara rushes ahead from knowing the address by heart and climbs them effortlessly.

"KAGOME!" she shouts once seeing the older girl and tackles her into a hug.

"N-nobara?" she stutters out as she hugs back, shocked that this was what she had meant by surprise. "What are you doing here?" The question passes her lips just as she feels Gojo's presence not far behind Nobara.

"I'm moving into town and wanted to surprise you!" Nobara pulls away. "Well in a way moving…"

"Oh don't worry, Kugisaki," Gojo chuckles. "'Gome knows all about us."

"I really wish you would stop that," Kagome deadpans. So Nobara was a Shaman student, but who was this kid with pink hair and slits under his eyes? A dark laugh echoes in her ears for a moment before fading, her thoughts going to the sutra wrapped finger in her pocket. "So who are you?" Her attention solely on the clueless looking male, her guard was up and it didn't go unnoticed by Gojo. While curses had no idea Sukuna was there until he showed himself, Kagome knew just by looking at the boy.

"Oh! I'm Itadori Yuuji, from-"

"How did you end up being a vessel?" Blunt, unexpected, yet still somehow respectful enough not to cause much alarm unless you knew exactly what she was talking about. Bingo, Gojo thinks with a smirk.

"Let's save that for another time, 'Gome," he cuts in before Itadori could respond. "Say, since I'm here-"

"Fine."

"I can always come ba- Wait, really?"

"Yes," Kagome crosses her arms. "Only because you are an absolute idiot that doesn't know what they're dealing with."

An: Again this is still a bit of a test run so the chapters will be short. Thank you!
