I was in the Cooper Gang's hideout playing an old text adventure gane on my Dell laptop. It had been three days since Sly and Murray had been freed from the Contessa's prison and Savannah had joined the Cooper Gang. Everybody was just relaxing. Savannah was talking to Bentley about the fact that he shouldn't hack computers because of the many computer viruses that had occurred in the past like Iloveyou and Happy99. I was playing one of my all time favorite computer games: Zork. Zork used to be an extremely popular text adventure game. Zork was a game that involved a nameless protagonist who explores various locations like an abandoned house or an art museum.
Zork is a really easy game once you get used to the controls. The player has to type in basic commands in order for the nameless protagonist to traverse the landscape of Zork. My character had just got done getting an special egg from atop of a tree. The egg was jewel encrusted and was gold colored. I tried to open the egg, but the Zork program said that the egg couldn't be opened, which was ridiculous since every egg in existence has the ability to be opened because they are fragile. My character climbed down the tree. I entered the forest. I made my way back to the abandoned white house. I entered through the back window. I landed inside of a kitchen. I saw a bag of hot peppers sitting on a table.
By this time, I was so engrossed in my game that I hadn't noticed that Sly had walked into the room that I was in and he was squatting next to me watching me play Zork. I continued playing Zork for a while. Eventually, Sly asked me, "What you playing, Julie?"
"I'm playing a game called Zork, Sly." I said to the raccoon.
"Zork? That's a weird title for a computer game." Sly said to me.
"Yeah, I know the name Zork might be a weird video game title, but it is a cool game." I said to Sly.
"What are you supposed to do in this Zork game?" Sly asked me.
"The main goal of Zork is to return from exploring the "Great Underground Empire" (GUE, for short) alive and with all treasures needed to complete each adventure, ultimately inheriting the title of Dungeon Master." I explained to Sly.
"Sounds like a pretty cool game to me." Sly said.
"Yeah. Zork is pretty easy, once you get used to the controls." I said to Sly.
Sly watched me play Zork for a while. He even helped me out a couple of times when I was stuck in certain points of the game. I eventually got tired of playing Zork on my laptop. I decided to save the game and move on to the various other games that I downloaded through emulators. I was about to click onto another game when suddenly I got an Instagram notification that popped out of nowhere. I don't really follow people on Instagram all that much, so me getting a notification from somebody on Instagram was a bit odd to me. I clicked on the notification. It was a message from my father. That was strange since my father had died from a car crash in the middle of winter that I had accidentally caused.
I would tell you readers about the incident that led to my father dying, but I had already explained the details of it back in chapter 11 of this story.
This is what my father said to me: Hi, Julius. I know we haven't talked in like 7 months but I just wanted to let you know that you have a half sister named Jessica Kore. A year before I met your mother, I had an affair with a Hispanic woman named Rebecca Rodriguez. I had a one night stand with her. She got pregnant. She gave birth to a girl. I named my daughter after the alter ego of my favorite Marvel Comics superheroines Spider-Woman: Jessica Drew. I left Rebecca behind and a few months later in November 2000, I met your mother Martha Blackwell. I married her a few months later. Then, me and your mother had you and Tommy. The rest is history.

This note was surprising to me for various reasons. I didn't even knew that I had a half sister until now. I didn't know that my father would have a random affair with a Hispanic woman and gad a daughter with her. Secondly, I thought that my father had died in a car accident back in January 2019. I looked at the date. It was August 29, 2019. That could only mean two things: either my dad had somehow survived the car accident back in January 2019, or something prevented the car accident that killed my father.
I took a moment to process this shocking revelation. I never know that I even had a sister. I thought it was only me and Tommy. I had no idea that I had a half sister that I didn't know about.
Then, my father sent a picture of my sister's birth certificate. It stated that my sister Jessica was born on May 14, 1999. My father's name was listed on the birth certificate. There was no denying it. I had a half sister that I didn't know existed for 15 years.
I then got a Skype call. It was from Jessica. I answered it. My webcam showed up. The camera showed my face and Sly's face as well. Then a lady appeared in another webcam. She was a Hispanic woman who looked like she was around the age of twenty or nineteen. She had tan colored skin. She had long brown hair that reached down to her shoulders. She had blue eyes like me. She wore a black Nike T-Shirt. My half sister was in her bedroom which looked nice. It had a bed, vanity mirror, TV, the usual type of stuff you would find in an ordinary person's bedroom.
"Hi. Are you my half brother named Julius Kore? My biological father had recently told me that I had 2 brothers that I had no idea existed until now." The woman said to me.
"Yes. I am Julius Kore. Who are you?" I asked the woman in the webcam.
"I think I'm your half sister. My name is Jessica Kore." My half sister said to me.
"I never seen you before in my life. In fact, I didn't even know you even existed until now." I said to Jessica.
"How could you not have known that you had a half sister all this time? Have you been living under a rock for the past fifteen years?" Jessica asked me.
"I haven't been living under a rock for the past fifteen years of my life. I genuinely didn't know that I had a sister until now." I said to my sister.
"Well congratulations. I'm your sister." Jessica said.
"It's nice meeting you, Jessie." I said.
"It's nice meeting you too, Julius."
Jessica then noticed my girlfriend Savannah Greenwood was in my webcam with me along with a green turtle.
"Who is that turtle person?" Jessica asked me.
"That's my friend Bentley." I said to my sister.
"Ok." Jessica said.
Me and my half sister talked for a little while. I told her about my life in the human world and my life in the Sly Cooper universe. Then, me and my sister said goodbye to each other. After my Skype call with my long lost sister ended, I went back to playing some games on my computer. It was amazing meeting a family member that you never knew existed for 15 years of your life.
