"Man, say what you will about Moroes, but that guy knows how to get all these people to fight for him." Mythandras said, wiping the nasty stuff she got on herself during the battle, "You know, you ever think we're the baddies here?"

Ever since realizing we're in a city full of people who don't like us, we've decided to fight Moroes' Aura Liberation Army because, well, if a villain is in charge of an army, bad things would likely follow.

It's not the most rockproof argument, but it's the one they're rolling with.

It also helps with getting experience, as everyone in the city involved with the ALA is classified as an 'enemy'. And there are a lot of ALA bases around Mantle for some reason. Although a lot of them are just barracks and stuff.

"Pretty sure that's because of his whole character commander class thing." Sicias replied, leaning against the wall waiting for Mythandras to finish up, "No clue how it works but it might lean into the brainwashing element a bit."

Mythandras shrugged, "I guess so. Speaking of, should we do anything about that girl with the whole aura-interference semblance?"

Sicias gave her a questioning look, "And let the grimm murder everyone in this city? Please, brain."

Mythandras chuckled at the insult, smiling, "Alright, fair enough. At least check in on her just to make sure that the villain guy isn't doing obviously villainous stuff with her?"

Well…

If there's a slight possibility that there's something wrong happening there, we might as well take a quick look. Besides, the practice might be good.

Sicias reached his decision, throwing caution to the wind, "You know what, sure, why not. If we get caught by Moroes and die, you owe me a thousand bucks."

"Wha- don't jinx it!"

Moroes

After leaving team RWBY to their own devices, with me successfully putting them onto the path of neutrality, I continued to govern my city while keeping my main objective of killing those two heroes at my utmost priority as I keep my minions scattered around the city in the hopes of them finding the heroes.

Speaking of, it seemed to be working.

The two hero players have found these sites and have been going through defeating the people inside of them. They're likely gaining experience through defeating my grunts, however…

That is the plan. There's no doubt that in a fight between us, I would win quite handedly. The other two know this as well. So they're attempting to avoid me for as long as possible while at the same time increasing their own power.

However, the issue is the difficulty they've selected. They have deliberately handicapped themselves by being on a lower difficulty than I, meaning they will never reach my level, until the level cap. What they achieve in a week, I will achieve in a day.

And where will they gain experience from, anyhow? They cannot put themselves in the open without me or the entire rest of the city knowing about it, leaving only the barracks full of my own minions to fight against. And quite fortunately, I know where I leave my things.

I will not be reusing the already attacked locations, therefore, they will narrow themselves down to a single place they can attack, and will end up in a trap of their own doing.

It's a basic and simple plan. But I have confidence in it working out eventually.

I may end up trying to predict where they will attack next from time to time… But I would rather not tip them off to my actual strength, so I will not show up until the final location.

In the meantime, however. It is bad to be complacent, so I, too, must become more powerful.

There are many problems I must handle, such as the small rebellion happening mostly due to our former military being very loyal to Ironwood, despite some groups of specialists deciding to return and obey.

Well, regardless, I will likely take some of my more combat-minded members out and deal with-

"Uh, sir?" One of my secretaries said, interrupting my internal monologue.

"Yes?"

The secretary had a nervous look on their face, holding what seemed to be a map, "Um, there seems to be something very important down in what seems to be beneath Atlas Academy? We were hoping you could check it out…"

…What could be so important they need me to check beneath a school?

[Relic of Creation - A relic from an ancient period, handcrafted by a God. When used, this summons a being that can create anything the user wishes for. When used in combination with the 3 other relics, they will summon the gods back to this world.]

…Ah.

That is what's so important. This extremely important looking staff.

"We haven't found out exactly what it is, but we decided it would be best to bring it to your attention." The secretary from earlier said, giving me details.

Well, I know what it is now, "It is good you brought my attention to this as soon as possible… However, please leave the room for a few minutes."

"...What?" My secretary had a dumb look on their face.

"Please, only for a few minutes," I urged, "You may also choose to attend to other duties if you wish. I will be fine."

Soon enough, they left the room, leaving me with the relic.

If this relic can create anything… Then this is going to speed up our little game quite quickly.

Moving towards the relic and grabbing the staff with my hand, I try to summon forth the being apparently inside this staff.

I got my result soon after.

A mystical blue light emerges from the staff as a… some kind of blue genie appears.

"Ah! So who's calling upon me for my wonderful creativity!" The genie replies, looking extremely excited about it, until he saw me and seemed a bit curious, "Oh, you look a bit unique! Didn't know that could happen!"

I nodded, "I get that a lot. Regardless, who are you?"

He smiled, "My name is Ambrosius, the spirit of creation! I can make anything you desire!"

…Ah, so that's what the staff of "creation" means, "Interesting, are there any limitations?"

He still kept smiling, as if nothing bothered him, "I can't create anything that died, because I'm not allowed to revive people from the dead. Also, if I create something, the last thing I created is destroyed. By the way, the last thing I created was a floating city which may I add is awfully generic and pedestrian. I hope you have something better!"

I raised an eyebrow, that entire explanation was troublesome, however, "Why would you not be allowed to revive people from the dead?"

"It upsets the natural balance or whatever, dude!" He replies, not thinking too much of it.

…Wait, has word not… Does he even get any news? "Excuse me, do you know what has happened since you were last called upon?"

Ambrosius shook his head, while also floating around aimlessly, "Nope. I stay in my little staff and pass the years away. Anything that happens outside I only know because people like you tell me about it."

Well, if that's the case, I'll just neglect to tell him of my revival capabilities.

Now, that second half of his explanation, "So, if I ask you to create, say, an intricate trinket of whatever kind, will this floating city be destroyed?"

"Yep," He confirmed, "Well, kinda. The guy who asked me just asked for a floating city, so I made endless energy that allowed the ground to go up in the air and float. So I'd just be destroying that endless energy."
"What if I asked for this floating city to not float anymore, but still not be destroyed?" I asked.

After a small moment of deliberation, he answered, "Then this city will gently float down to wherever, and will no longer be able to float again."

"If I wish for something else after that, will the city still stay down, or will it begin to float?" I asked for hopefully the last time regarding this.

"That…" Ambrosius paused, "Is… Huh, I haven't considered that."

He began pacing around the room, "Well, let me consider… hm… Mhm… Yep, yep…"

He finally seemed to come to a decision, "Well, I've arbitrarily decided that the loophole stays. Nice job, but what are you going to do with it?"

Ah, that's good. Now I no longer have to decide if I want something or to keep Atlas flying.

Now, if he said yes to my next question, it's over.

I smiled, "I was wondering if there was any way to create a device that can track down certain people?"

Mythandras

Jumping in through the window into what we thought was the aura breaker kid's room, we made a huge entrance and I yelled out "WHAZAAAaaaaap?!"

Team RWBY, Weiss's older sister named Winter, and also the aura breaker kid, all stared at Sicias and I like we were lunatics.

"You're late." Blake deadpanned.

Sicias sheepishly put his hand behind his head, "Yeah, maybe. Uh, at least we all got together…?"

Uh, yeah. That's something good, at least…

Winter, however, didn't seem to think it was good, glaring at us immediately, "You're the two people that Moroes had as the most wanted man and woman in Atlas."

Oh, yeah, right. That.

I responded, "Yep, that's us. Mythandras and Sicias' wacky fun all-good adventure…"

Yeah. Right. Ever since we've stepped foot in Atlas, everything's gone wrong and nothing's been right. Quite literally the only 2 good things that's happened since we've entered this god-forsaken city is that we've hit level 30 and the modifier monster hasn't appeared yet.

And that second one's not even a guarantee!

"We've encountered Moroes and, quite frankly, had our asses handed to us," Sicias explained, "If it weren't for… A special item I had, we'd have died."

"Wait," Ruby cut in, "We met Moroes when we got to the city! Are you saying you tried to pick a fight with him?! But he was so nice to us!"

…Nice? Ah, wait, considering Sicias' overpowered protagonist modifier, of course Moroes would want RWBY on his side.

Too bad we've already got them, heheh.

I took over for this part, trying to make us sound like the good guys (Which, by the way, is WAY harder than it should be!), "Ah, well… We know Moroes from uh… A while back. So when we heard about Moroes showing up in Mantle a while back, we knew he could be up to no good. And what do we see when we arrive? Moroes overthrew the government!" I threw my hands up in the air to sell the act, "Really, that guy's just an actual villain."

Sicias gives me the side eye for stuffing the word villain in there, but it was worth it!

Weiss then gives us a striking blow, "Okay, fine. You knew Moroes was someone bad. But why didn't you just tell us that? Why did you suddenly get on that giant… Flying animal thing and leave us!?"

…Uh…

Because it was funny… And we didn't want to be stranded in the ocean because of the grimm attack that left us temporarily stranded…

But if we say that, they might actually just murder us.

Thankfully, Sicias is carrying this entire operation, "We decided that if we left then, we might've had time to stop whatever Moroes was planning before it happened. Unfortunately, Moroes was faster than what we anticipated and we ended up right before him right after he succeeded."

Yang raised her eyebrow, "Okay, great. So let's clarify. Why did you bring us?"

…Didn't we answer this when we were in Beacon?

I replied anyway, "Because you're strong and we might've needed the backup."

Yang nodded, "Right. That's what I remembered too. And if I remember correctly, we were backup for 'defeating a strong evil person' and the reason we went with you was because Ozpin personally vouched for it."

"...Where are you going with this?" I asked nervously. Seriously, where is she taking this?

Yang stared strongly at us, "Are we still on that mission with you?"

Uh.

Sicias, however, did not consult me as he nodded, "Yes, you are."

Yang glared at us harshly, as Winter tried to calm her down, "Miss Yang. I believe it's not wise to fight here right now-"

Yang, however, ignored her, "You want us to help you kill Moroes."

This is bad. Awful. Terrible. The answer was so obviously yes and so obviously wrong. We're actual villains right now. Supervillains. Are we seriously trying to gaslight teenagers?!

Sending a mental message to Sicias, I yelled at him "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE SAY NO."

Sicias didn't message anything back, however, as we were taking an uncomfortably long time answering her question.

Fortunately, we didn't have to answer that question, as the little girl in the room squeaked out, "Uhm!"

As everyone's attention turns to her, she sheepishly continues, "Is the um… Flying city supposed to come down?" as she pointed out the window.

…What?

As we all scramble to take a closer look outside at the sky, we confirm the situation with our own two eyes.

Yes. Atlas was currently gently floating down.

Why didn't either of us watch this stupid show?! Is this supposed to be happening?! Is it not?!

This is stupid!

Moroes

It had taken a few tries to get the wording correct in order to have Ambrosius create the item that I wanted correctly, however…

[Life Tracker - Created by the relic of creation - When used, any person thought of by the user will be pointed towards by this compass. Can only track 1 person at once.]

It has worked out spectacularly. Judging by the text from Observe, this should work just fine. And even if it doesn't, Ambrosius is right here to recreate it for me.

Ambrosius looked extremely disappointed, "Man, to think I internally hyped you up all this much and all you've given me is the task to create this? Man, you're a disappointment."

"My apologies, however, this is quite valuable to me, if you understand." I replied.

My apologies was partially true. With such an ability as creating anything, being asked to create something that simply points to specific lifeforms' must be awfully boring.

Ambrosius scoffed as he started disappearing, "Apologize to me by asking me to create something more interesting."

And soon, only the relic was left.

Well, on one hand, I do feel quite bad about unintentionally mocking Ambrosius' power, on the other hand…

I am far too excited about the battle to come.

I pulled out my scroll and made some calls.

Soon, all the greatest warriors of the Aura Liberation Army will descend upon those two players and decimate them.

Arthur Watts

Clowns.

He's surrounded by clowns.

Now, being sent on a mission by Salem is all fine and dandy. In fact, the missions Salem had for him were most of the time describable by such words as fun, or exciting. Perhaps if Salem were a little sadistic that day, challenging.

This one, however, ended up being extremely annoying, however, as he was sent in with Tyrian Callows, noted for being actually insane, and Hazel Rainhart, who, to be honest, he didn't have any specific grudge against.

He just didn't like him.

Tyrian was probably sent as muscle, himself as the brains, and Hazel as… Well, he doesn't know what Hazel does, so he's there for moral support, he supposed.

Now, as for the mission the 3 were on, they were sent to steal the relic of creation from Atlas, which had recently been seized by the Aura Liberation Army, who awakened everyone's aura in this city.

Normally, the tales of such groups would end in 'the grimm invaded, they died. Don't overdo aura, kids. The end.' However, this tale was different.

The Aura Liberation Army seemed to have someone who developed the semblance of somehow swaying grimm away, as Salem, who controls most grimm, cannot control anything in an extremely large radius around Atlas.

So it is up to the good members of her inner circle to take the relic of creation, escape unnoticed, and use the relic to crash Atlas City into Mantle and hopefully kill the person with the annoying semblance.

Unfortunately, life did not seem to be so easy.

Atlas has peacefully descended down from its gilded throne and joined the mortal realm once again. And by that, he means Atlas is no longer a floating city, meaning the relic has been found and the user knows what to do with it.

He's willing to bet that the user is Moroes. And the other members of his group seem to think so as well.

So, they quickly sneak into Atlas Academy and make their way all the way down to where the relic of creation was SUPPOSED to be.

And, predictably, it's empty, meaning Moroes likely had it moved somewhere else.

So, after their brief failure, they decided to move back up to the surface to brainstorm where else the relic could be, because Moroes clearly doesn't respect any sense of tradition of keeping extremely important relics under schools.

Oh, and along the way, they found a weird, glowing bird.

"Oh! This must be one of their little experiments! Let's butcher it and watch those scientists weep!" Tyrian advocated with an uncomfortable grin on his face.

They shut it down, and let the bird do its bird things. What's it going to do anyways? It's probably just an escaped experiment. No need to draw unnecessary attention.

As Tyrian complained about the lack of bloodshed, he sighed, "Salem help me."

Moroes

As it turns out, getting all of the finest warriors takes a lot of time to do. So I have time to kill. A few hours, at least.

And that's when I found these 3 gentlemen simply making their way to where the relic previously sat.

Arthur, Tyrian, and Hazel. What an odd bunch. I was going to let it go, seeing as in a few hours, I would've ideally won my match and thus ascend to a level no one on this planet could touch…

And then Arthur mentions Salem and I recall Ironwood briefly mentioning a Salem when confronting me. It would just be safer to make sure these 3, or Salem for that matter, doesn't arrive to save the heroes' day.

And, well, if Ironwood was so paranoid of me being involved with Salem, I may as well see what he was so paranoid of.

So I tailed them for a little while and they're quite loose with their lips. In the brief time I've followed them, from the school to some distance outside, they've discussed where would be a good place to search for the relic that is sitting in my inventory, where to find the girl with the semblance that, apparently, stops any grimm from entering the area, and of their escape routes when their 'master,' presumably Salem, sends in the grimm to destroy this city.

Now, this may be pure fiction, seeing as I'm only gaining information offhandedly by what these 3 gentlemen are saying, but this Salem may have the ability to control grimm in one way or another.

What a scary power. Although, it is hard to say terrifying when I've met gods before, who no doubt hold more power in their foot than this entire planet. Although, to be fair to Ironwood, I suppose that may have been the most terrifying thing in the world to him.

Well, regardless, I need these 3 and their master off my back for today, at least.

I knew I wouldn't win in a fight against those 3, so I made sure that when I appeared in front of them, I did so in a location that would allow me to escape easily if they attempted to chase.

The 3 were startled by my reappearance, with Hazel yelling out, "What the hell?! I thought this thing was an experiment?!"

Tyrian eerily smiled at me, "Who cares?! If it's smart enough to follow us, it's smart enough to die!"

Arthur simply tensed himself for a fight as he reasoned, "Well, as I said, we don't want to draw attention to ourselves by fighting with some glowing bird. Let's ignore it again."

…Ah, to be held down by responsibility.

I sighed, causing the 3 to widen their eyes.

"You should really be more careful of your mouths, gentlemen." I said, causing them to be more on guard than before, "Regardless, may I ask why this 'Salem' person that you seem to praise so much has taken interest in our little kingdom?"

Tyrian was moments away from attacking, Arthur, however, responded more levelly by asking "Who are you?"

Deciding the time for theatrics was over, I transformed back into my usual self and bowed, "Reincarnation. Grand Commander of the Aura Liberation Army. I will ask again, why have you taken interest in our little kingdom?"

They all stepped back once they realized who I was. Although I do half-wish they attacked me just so I could kill them for the vast amounts of experience they would doubtlessly give me if they died… Although that would be a tough fight, with them being in their 80s and 90s of levels.

Arthur, realizing he was the brain and mouth of the team, responded after some moments of hesitation, "We are here for the Relic of Creation."

…Ah, that?

I tilted my head, "Is that all you are here for?"

Arthur shot back, "Depends on how you respond to our demands."

Well… The relic isn't really that important to me. All I needed it for was to have the compass, afterwards, I didn't really care what happened to it. So I made a snap decision.

I gave them my best business smile. "Well, I'm having something extremely important happening in the next few hours, so I need to tie loose ends such as you so they don't crush my ambitions. So, if the relic is what you seek, I do not mind handing it over in exchange for your partnership."

All 3 seemed to relax after they realize I'm willing to work with them, with Arthur giving a skeptic look, "Do you even know what you're agreeing to?"

I gave them a genuine smile, "The ability to create anything, believe it or not, is not very helpful to me. If that relic is what you want in exchange for leaving the city and telling your master to not send your grimm at us for a while, it is a good deal."

Hazel muttered out, "...Not very helpful?"

Tyrian just scoffed, "You must not know the true power of these relics"

"If you bring all 4 together, you summon the gods back to this planet, yes?" I said, to their shock, "I don't have any particular opinions on that. If you want the relic, all I ask is that you wait until tomorrow until my business is finished."

Arthur asked, "Why don't you just hand it to us now, then? If it's not very 'helpful' to you?"

…What an amateurish question, "I would rather not test your honesty."

Arthur chuckled and raised his hands over to me, "Fair. Fine, we have a deal. In exchange for not messing with anything for today, you will hand over the relic tomorrow."

It's so nice to deal with people who do not desire conflict sometimes.

I walked over to them and shook his hands, confirming the deal.

Now, there's just an hour left before my warriors gather… I suppose I will write the last chapter of this tale in my diary.

I believe every single issue that could create disruptions in my upcoming fight against the 2 hero players have been solved.

I have called for all our greatest warriors to aid me, I have ensured Salem's agent stay neutral, I've visited team RWBY to ensure that they'll stay put, I've gotten confirmation that any major criminal organizations seem to have nothing planned today, and I've ensured that our miracle girl is still alive.

My Aura Liberation Army cannot be stopped. In this world, there are no heroes sufficient enough to stop me, there is no League of Villains that have enough firepower to destroy us, and there is no one left with the will to oppose me.

I will offer a small prayer to Destro, for planting the seeds of liberation in my original world, which was carried down to me. And then I shall march and ensure that the flame of liberation will keep burning.

An:

Bro that next chapter is gonna be done so quickly. Maybe like 1 or 2k works and this trainwreck is OVER. Those 2 other OCs are going to get hit by that train so hard that they're going to think God did it.

I'm never writing a long-fic in a thing I don't really read/watch ever again.

Also, someone has to explain to me why this fic got the most attention out of all my other fics. Does the RWBY fanfic community just have more gamer fic enthusiasts than most other fandoms?

[I want to say I didn't forget about the naughty children monster that Sicias and Mythandras had following around them, but there's a good chance in the months I didn't write this fic for, I did.]

[I've been Re-reading my old ANs and wow it's cute how I think I had a roadmap of how this fic was going to go LMAO. I was lying to myself.]

[I'll write more on how I feel about this fic next chapter methinks.]
