For most of the Loud family the weekends were the best part of the week, but for one Lincoln Loud it was nothing special. Nothing has been special, not since he learned he wasn't special, how could be so stupid? He really thought he was his mother's favorite? As if… why? Why couldn't he be? Why'd it have to be Lucy? He avoided Lucy for the past couple of weeks, he hated her, he blamed her, deep down he knew he shouldn't it wasn't her fault, but right now it still burned to think about, so he couldn't think reasonably. It was already 11:30 but he wasn't getting up anytime soon, what was the point?

Lucy was being plagued by a poet's greatest fear, writer's block. She had to talk to Lincoln and try and make things right the only way she knew how, poetry. But it was a struggle, I mean nothing rhymes with orange, NOTHING! Eventually though, she came up with something satisfactory and proceeded towards Lincoln's room. She got to his door and took a deep breath in before knocking, it took him a second to react but he eventually opened up, and as soon as his eyes laid on Lucy his face contorted into one of spite, he then proceeded to say, "go away" before slamming the door in her face. This hurt Lucy more than she ever thought possible, her big brother has always been kind, yeah they got on each other's nerves sometimes, but he'd always try to fix what was wrong before the day was out, but now weeks later and he still hates her, maybe he'll hate her forever, and there's nothing she can do about it. Lucy couldn't contain the tears even if she wanted to, she dropped her poem at her feet and finally lived up to her name as she sobbed loudly through the hallways before going into her room and slamming her door, everyone else had heard it and started to come out of their rooms. They all looked at each other confused, they've never heard Lucy cry like that before, it was unheard of, "dang, what's got Lucy so down and out with the blues?" Luna commented, no one seemed to have an answer, Lynn Jr came out of the bathroom, "what the heck was the wailing? Did Lucy summon a banshee?" "No dude, she just ran through here crying" Lynn looked confused "Lucy doesn't cry, at least not more than a single dramatic tear" "yeah well she just ran through here screaming, and it messed up my makeup!" Lola added, "I better go check on her!" Lynn went to open her bedroom door, but Luna stopped her, "woah dude, you know Luce change is, she likes to be alone, give her some space right now, we'll talk to her when she's had some time, alright?" Lynn huffed, "but what if she's hurt or something?" "She probably would've come to one of us if she was. Trust me dude, wait until later, it's better for all of us", with that everyone started to go back to what they were doing before. Lynn kicked the ground, she wishes she could help her sister, but Luna's right, she does need her alone time right now. Lynn listened closely and could hear Lucy still sobbing, it hurt her to hear her roommate in such a state, that's when something caught her eye, it was a piece of paper laying in front of Lincoln's door, and it oddly looked like a piece from Lucy's poetry book. Lynn went and picked it up, and gave it a good read, by the end of it she was furious, this was Lincoln's fault, he was mad at Lucy and she came to apologize, that slam she heard before Lucy started crying must have been Lincoln denying her apology. Well Lincoln has another thing coming, she rolled up her sleeve and gave his door three stern knocks.

Lincoln heard another knock coming from his door but he ignored it, no doubt it was Lucy again, probably here to taunt that she was their mom's favorite. Another knock came, this one much louder, something a little too loud for Lucy, he sighed and sat up from his bed, this better be important he had sulking to do. As soon as he opened the door he got a face full of fist, it launched him onto the ground and dazed him, before he could understand what was going on he felt something grab the collar of his shirt, once his vision unblurred he realized it was Lynn, "what the heck was that for!?" "What did you do to Lucy!?!" Lynn said while violently shaking him, "what are you talking about? I didn't do anything to her!" "Yeah well why is she crying, huh? And why is there an apology poem clearly directed towards you sitting outside your door?" Lincoln looked confused, "apology poem?" "Yeah, an apology poem, I'm not quite sure what it's about but it's obviously meant for you, why else would she rhyme orange with door hinge?" Lincoln felt a bit of guilt come over him, he was mad at Lucy, but she came there to apologize to him, and he just shut her out, and now that he was thinking about it, she wasn't even to blame, she didn't control who mom's favorite was, and yet he blamed her. Lincoln felt like a real jerk, he had to make it right, "listen Lynn, I'm sorry, ok? I'll go make it right" Lynn raised her other hand up in a threatening manner, "oh no, no right now, she needs to be alone thanks to you, but as soon as you see her you apologize, or else tomorrow, you will be in a world of hurt, got it stincoln?" She emphasized this by pummeling her palm, Lincoln gulped before saying, "g-g-got it" "good" with that Lynn left Lincoln's room and made her way outside. Lincoln sighed in relief, thank God she was gone, he looked down to notice Lucy's poem, he decided it was only fair to give it a good read…

I ain't writing no poem, the fuck do I look like? Look I'm decent at writing at best, ok? Just imagine a really good apology poem right here or something, idk.

…Lincoln finished the poem and it almost brought a tear to his eye, she never meant to hurt him, she felt bad about what happened, and look what he did to her, he'd have to make it right, he knows Lynn told him to wait, but he couldn't, he had to make things right.

Rita couldn't take it, that horrible sound of her sweet daughter crying. She didn't dare rush to her daughter like she wanted to, she knew she wouldn't be able to contain herself, and that would draw a lot of attention from the rest of the family, but it hurt nonetheless. She couldn't imagine what caused her to cry like that, it couldn't have been… oh God. What if it was her? What if Lucy realized what had happened yesterday and she felt disgusted or hurt? What if she told one of her other siblings, they'd tell her it's wrong no doubt. This could be bad but… no no, she's overreacting, her kids get into fights all the time, this was nothing more than that, but she'd have to be cautious just in case, she never thought she'd say it, but her other kids are going to be a problem, she'd have to keep them in check. But for now she just have to continue writing, she's started writing love confessions to Lucy just to find out what sounded the best, she of course hid them well, couldn't risk someone finding them, but soon it wouldn't matter, soon none of it would, for Lucy will be hers.

Lincoln snuck into Lucy's room, as soon as he entered he heard soft sobbing coming from Lucy's coffin, it only made him feel worse. He slowly approached the coffin and gave it a soft knock, "*sob* go away Lynn!" Lincoln slowly opened the lid to reveal Lucy, she turned to say something but was shocked to see Lincoln, Lincoln on the other hand was shocked to see the state she was in, her hair was a mess actually revealing one of her eyes, she had tear streaks running down her face, and was covered in snot. She started to sob harder when she realized it was Lincoln, and Lincoln pulled her into a hug, "no no, Lucy please don't cry, it's ok" Lucy was still crying but she managed to get out "but I *sniff* thought you *sob* hate *sob* me" the only person Lincoln hated was himself for allowing her to believe that, "I could never hate you Lucy, you're my little sister, I love you, I always will". Eventually her sobs started to subside and they broke the hug, Lincoln looked down and sighed, "Lucy I'm so sorry, I was just being selfish and childish, and I was taking it out on you for no reason" Lucy wiped herself off before saying, "yeah well… I'm sorry you had to hear that I'm mom's favorite, if anyone deserves that spot it's definitely you" Lincoln shook his head, "no I don't, I mean look what I caused, I'm horrible" Lucy put her hand in Lincoln's "no you're not, you're the best big brother ever" this made Lincoln smile, "thanks Luce, but it's ok because, I realized I don't need to be mom's favorite, she still loves just as much as she loves anyone else, she just likes spending time with you more and I can accept that" Lucy scratched the back of her head, "I actually wanted to talk to you about that, I might not actually be mom's favorite" this made Lincoln perk up, "I've been thinking about it all day and I think she just wanted me to be more comfortable for when she gave me my lesson" and that part made Lincoln confused "lesson? What lesson?" Lucy looked away shiley, "well I don't think you'd know about it, I think she said she only did it with her daughters, but she taught me how to… uh… properly kiss" this shocked Lincoln, his mom taught his sisters how to kiss? But "how?" he asked, "well she kinda, showed me by kissing me… it was… kinda fun in a way and I'm glad I know how to do it now, but I think that's why she was calling me her favorite" Lincoln was stunned, there was something… off about what Lucy had told him, I mean he hadn't heard about that from any of his other sisters, but maybe it was just kind of embarrassing for them. He decided it wasn't anything to be concerned about, I mean it's their mom, not some creep or stranger, but more importantly, "so I might actually be her favorite?" Lucy smiled, she was glad to see her brother getting excited for something after watching him be miserable for so long, "yes, and if mom has any sense at all, then your already her favorite" Lincoln smiled at Lucy and hugged her again, although she was a little less receptive, seeing how she was returning back to her normal state, "well I'm glad we got this talked out Luce, and I promise I'll never let anything like this come between us again" "I'm glad, but now I ask that you leave, I heard that Lynn is going to leave me alone for a bit, so I can writing done in peace and quiet for a bit" Lincoln chuckled at her comment, "alright Luce, you have fun, see ya later" "goodbye dear brother", and with that Lincoln left Lucy's room feeling better than ever.

Lincoln poured himself a bowl of cereal and began to cheerfully eat away at it when Leni walked in, "o m gosh, it's so good to see you in a good mood again Lincoln, I thought for sure your face was stuck and we were like going to have to fix it" Lincoln laughed at his um, should I say slow? Yeah sure, slow sisters comment, "yeah well, I just fixed things up with someone, and got some good news" this made Leni excited, "OOOH TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME" "alright alright, it's not that exciting honestly, actually it's kinda dumb actually, but I was upset because I thought Lucy was mom's favorite, but it turns out I was just worried for nothing" Leni looked puzzled, "well why'd you think that?" "Well um, cause I heard her say it, but don't worry we found out it was just her making Lucy comfortable for her kissing lesson, which I kinda wish I got would really help me out" Leni nodded in agreement, "yeah same it totes would of made things less awkward the first time I kissed someone" Lincoln looked at her confused, "umm Leni, she did give you a lesson, she gives it to all her daughters" Leni thought for a second, then shook her head, "no I don't remember her doing that, but I do remember the first time I went to kiss a boy I tried kissing him on his ear, you know like they do in begal" Lincoln looked at Leni confused yet again "begal?" "Yeah begal, you know the place where they make the moon shaped bread?" Lincoln facepalmed "I think you mean Belgium, and that's not where they make moon shaped bread, they make that in…" "O M GOSH, LOOK AT THESE SHOES THEY'RE SELLING AT THE MALL! I gotta go buy them right now!" and with that Leni left without ever showing him the shoes she told him to look at, never change Leni. But something about what Leni said left him troubled, Leni isn't the brightest bulb in the bunch, but there was something genuine about how she said she didn't get lessons from mom, but if that's the case then why is Lucy getting lessons? Maybe it's something she started after a few kids? Lincoln wasn't sure, but he decided he should ask one of his other sisters, but who? It took him a second to think of who, but he came to the conclusion of Lynn. She should be the most recent after all, and he still has to tell her that he apologized to Lucy. He saw her out in the yard but stopped for a second, why was he doing this? What did he think was going to happen, that she was going to say no she didn't get a lesson? And if she didn't… what did that mean? Did it mean Lucy lied to make him feel better, or… did his mom lie to Lucy? But why would she do that? What would be the point? Lincoln shook his head, he couldn't quite place it but something about this whole situation was giving him the wrong feeling, he just wishes he could place what it was. He finally snapped out of his inner struggle and refocused on Lynn, he needed to get an answer from her, and he was really hoping he was just overthinking things right now.

(Author's Notes)

Imagine waiting five months to get a set-up chapter LMAO. But I do hope you appreciate this finally crafted tale of obsession and incest I'm crafting for you, I think I'm setting up some nice plots for this little story. Hopefully I won't take another five months to make the next chapter but you never know with me. Sorry for any grammar mistakes, I didn't really feel like proofreading this one, it is just fanfiction after all, it's not like it's some high class Steven King novel. Anyways all criticism is welcome and don't be afraid to suggest ideas for the next chapters, I don't have this thing planned out I'm just kinda winging it so feel free to help, anyways, peace
