Hello again Fluttercord shippers!

So, a little while ago, I created an OC, who I imagined to be Fluttershy's and Discord's daughter. I wasn't going to write about her, at least until I had a proper story to tell, but oh well. I guess it's kind of a celebratory post, inspired by the birth of my own beautiful niece a couple days ago. (Whoo whoo!)

So please read on and enjoy :)

P.S. I still don't own MLP, just the OC.

"WHERE IS SHE?!"

Ponies screamed as a grey blur shot past them, leaving a trail of confetti in its wake. "What was that?" a stallion asked his neighbour, who shook her head mutely.

The grey blur came to a screeching halt when it caught sight of a purple alicorn, standing with five other ponies and a young dragon.

"WHERE IS SHE?!" Discord screamed again.

"Calm down, Discord!" Twilight snapped, though part of her felt sorry for the draconequus. He was so anxious he'd twisted both his ears off, and they were trailing forlornly in his wake, still spraying confetti in random directions. Pinkie loved it.

"Fluttershy's right in there," the princess jerked her chin at the door on her left.

Discord did not bother sticking around to thank her, but bolted straight through the door.

"Somehow I get the feeling he's going to get even more irritating now," Rainbow remarked to her friends.

"More? Is that even possible?" Starlight asked.

"It's Discord," Applejack pointed out, which was explanation enough.

Inside the room, Fluttershy looked up at Discord's entrance.

"I'm here!" he cried, hurrying to her bedside. "How are you? Are you alright?"

Fluttershy smiled at his panic over her. "I'm perfectly fine, Discord. But shh now, she's asleep."

The pegasus nodded at the little bundle cuddled up in her arms. Discord lowered his head to the baby's level and cooed softly. "Ooooh, she's gorgeous!" he squealed quietly, emphasising his point by turning his eyes to hearts.

Suddenly he vanished, reappearing instantly on Fluttershy's arm three inches tall. "And so tiny!" he squeaked, before returning to normal size beside the bed.

Fluttershy chuckled. "Isn't she?"

Suddenly the draconequus frowned. "But...she's a pegasus."

"So? I'm a pegasus."

"I know! But...she looks so normal. I mean, she's beautiful, obviously. After all, she is your daughter..."

"Oh, she doesn't look totally normal," Fluttershy grinned. "She has her father's eye."

"She does?"

To prove Fluttershy's point, the baby at that point opened her eyes, blinking up at the pair of them.

Discord's frown deepened. "Fluttershy, those eyes look just like yours. Teal, beautiful, sparkling, long lashes, they're even your shape!"

Fluttershy blushed at this, but said, "You're only looking at her right eye. Come over this side."

He obliged, and even the Lord of Chaos gave a start of surprise. The little foal's left eye was a bright yellow, with a blood-red pupil. "Well, look at that," he said mildly. "She is mine, after all. I was beginning to think you'd cheated on me, missy."

This comment earned him a soft smack from his wife.

"Well, what should we name her?" asked Fluttershy.

"Hmmm..." Discord pondered aloud. "Cotton Candy?"

Fluttershy gave him a withering look.

"What?" he said innocently. "I love cotton candy! It's my favourite food, and she's the exact same shade as pink! Also the exact same shade as another thing I love..." He caught a strand of Fluttershy's hair and held it against the tiny body as proof.

Fluttershy shook her head. "I don't care. I'm not naming our daughter Cotton Candy."

"Fine." Discord pouted.

"Look at her hair," Fluttershy said, combing her hoof gently through it. "It's so soft and white. It reminds me of Angel's fur when he was little. I thought the colour and the softness was so pure; that's why I called him Angel."

"So instead of naming her after my favourite food, you want to name her after your pet?" Discord said, raising one eyebrow (which happened to be the same colour as the filly's hair).

"'Angel' is a better name than 'Cotton Candy'," Fluttershy argued.

"Not if it's in honour of a rabbit," Discord shot back, also reaching out to stroke his daughter's mane. Silently, though, he agreed with Fluttershy that the filly's hair was so soft and white, it could belong to an angel. "But perhaps it can be inspiration... What about Seraphy?"

Fluttershy gazed down at the baby and murmured, "Seraphy..." Then she gazed up at Discord with a wide smile. "It's perfect."

"Good." Discord smiled and kissed his wife's forehead. "Shall we let everyone in then to meet her?"

Fluttershy nodded.

Three seconds later, Twilight, Spike, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Starlight tiptoed into the room, surrounding the bed to gaze adoringly at the new arrival.

"Oooh, she is just precious!" Rarity squealed.

"So CUTE!" added Pinkie, bouncing up and down with her excitement.

"Quiet, Pinkie!" Twilight scolded.

But the baby didn't seem to mind the outburst. She opened her eyes again and burbled happily at all the new people.

"Wow, look at the eyes!" Rainbow said.

"Weird," grinned Pinkie, looking not the least perturbed by it, though for everyone else the sight was rather shocking, and Starlight and Twilight were exchanging looks across the bed.

"Does that mean she'll have Discord's chaos magic?" Spike asked bluntly. "I mean, she's already a pegasus like Fluttershy..."

Now the others began to be worried too. At least everyone besides Pinkie Pie, who was gurgling to the baby and playing with her hooves rather than paying attention to the others' conversation.

"Oi, can you imagine an out-of-control toddler with chaos magic?" Applejack said.

Discord scowled. "Have you all forgotten who I am? I'm the Lord of Chaos! There's nothing I can't handle!"

"I don't know, Discord," said Twilight. "I mean, chaos magic by its very definition is unpredictable. And there's never been a half-draconequus child before. Who knows what will happen? For all we know, your magic and your daughter's magic will be completely incompatible, or she might be more powerful than you, or..."

Discord quickly zapped the alicorn's mouth away to stem the flow of dire predictions.

Twilight's eyes narrowed furiously and she grunted with annoyance.

"We don't even know if she has magic yet," said Discord. "Let's deal with that when we come to it, shall we?"

Still obviously disgruntled, Twilight nodded, and Discord returned her mouth. "I hate when you do that," she spat at him.

"Anyway," Fluttershy cut in quickly. "We would like to introduce everyone to Seraphy."

Everyone oohed and aahed over the name, and the tiny filly was passed around to each of her five aunts and dragon uncle for a cuddle. Pinkie went last, and the party pony burst into tears as she held the filly.

"Pinkie! What is it?" Fluttershy cried, alarmed.

"Nothing," Pinkie beamed. "I'm sooooo happy for you, Flutters. And I promise I'm going to make every day of Seraphy's life a party! Speaking of, I need to go plan a welcome home party for your family, and a naming party, and get started on her first birthday party as well..."

She gently handed the baby back to her mother, gave Fluttershy a quick squeeze, and trotted out of the room, muttering, "First Flight party, too, because she could start flying any time! Pound was so fast! And second birthday, cute-ceaƱera..."

Rarity chuckled. "Well, Pinkie's right about one thing. We should certainly celebrate! And that means lots of presents for the little girl. Which means I have work to do, too!" She kissed Fluttershy's cheek. "Congratulations, darling."

"Thank you, Rarity."

"We'll leave ya to ya rest too, Fluttershy," said Applejack cheerfully. "C'mon, girls."

One by one, the remaining ponies and Spike hugged Fluttershy goodbye and left, leaving the little family alone.

Discord shrank himself just enough to curl up around Fluttershy and his daughter on the bed, like a dragon guarding his treasure. The couple lapsed into contented silence, gazing at the tiny pink face of their daughter, who had once again fallen asleep.

After several minutes, Fluttershy sighed and leaned back against Discord, and he realised how tired she was.

"Rest, darling," he coaxed, kissing her mane tenderly.

Fluttershy snuggled into him contentedly. "I love you, Discord."

"And I love you," he replied with a fond smile. "Both of you."

Safe and happy in his embrace, Fluttershy drifted off to sleep.

There you go. And fun fact: Seraphy's name was originally going to be Angel. My sister then pointed out that Fluttershy's bunny was already called Angel, so it got changed. A seraph is another word for an angel.

I don't know if Seraphy will appear in these stories again, so if you want to see her let me know, but I do prefer focussing on building up the Fluttercord relationship.
