Some years have passed since the infamous events of 1999, which was marked by a very troubled period for the witches, attacks were being constant since then in every corner that had some mention of witches, the cultists were continuing a hunt in each one, this time in a much more discreet way, which ended up changing what was Luna Nova, that ended up removing all the students, leaving only the orphans and starting to change the place to receive children, and from there a rescue mission for the families started, starting with a plan that Laura, Bernadette, Holbrooke and Chariot were giving the first steps, and McLaren was still pregnant with Hellene.
That day Holbrooke received a call from a mother who was saying about an attack happening at her family's mansion and urgently needed help, which was soon a warning to call for the three who went there, leaving the redhead even a little worried to see Du Nord in the middle.
" Chariot, you're only 12 years old, you're not old enough for these things " said the Irish girl.
" I will not let this child meet the same end I did " said the Frenchwoman.
" I tried too Laura, Chariot insists on going with us " Bernadette said.
" You are pregnant and yet you are going to take a risk mother " Chariot said.
They were arriving at the boardroom, where the witch was handing some weapons to the trio, which was already an extra concern for the pregnant McLaren that was just ignoring, following even so putting the waistcoat and arming to go into action.
" This will be close enough, we have an attack going on in Leeds, you will need to speed up, at the Parker family mansion, this is the address," Holbrooke said handing the paper to the trio.
From there they took the broom, where they were accelerating the flight, noticing that the mansion was even deserted, where they were entering and noticing the bodies on the floor, some marks of possible explosions, then screams, what were the three running in direction to these screams that followed with sounds of crying of babies, where they found one of the cultists going to stab a baby, but that was interrupted by a shot given by Laura, then the child was rescued by Bernadette that was using a spell to create a protective dome around her taking her to her own arms.
" Shit... We didn't make it in time, they left that poor little lassie an orphan " Cavendish said as the other two looked on in horror at the scene.
" They're kind of different from the cultist who attacked my house, weird that they die and explode " Chariot said.
" We have to be careful, they are dangerous Chariot, these guys don't mess around, but we won't let them annihilate us either... This little lass will be our hope someday in the future," Laura said.
" Barbara, her name is Barbara, I could see it here in the pictures, now let's bring her to Luna Nova, here amidst the cultists it can't be very safe " Said the Scottish woman as the two nodded their agreement.
The three of them took little Barbara Parker back to Luna Nova, that being the first rescue they had ever done of a child to the place, where the cultists were kind of getting their way with the new generation of witches, but luckily the girls were saving little by little, what was the first of many witches rescued.

Another call came, this time it was Velma who was desperate trying to protect her daughter, which they eventually managed to find the presence of Bernhardt who had carried out the invasion attempt in 1999, she had called the three of them for a major emergency and this time Laura was very insistent and very insistent on going along, even though she is with a much bigger belly than before, this time they were accompanied by another friend of Chariot's who decided to be brave and get in the middle, Croix Meridies, who had run away from home and moved to Luna Nova shortly after the events of 1999.
They arrive at a house that was in the outskirts of Paris, where Velma lived and there another destruction scenario, this time at least Bernhardt was alive and there was a cultist walking towards her holding a mace, only that he was soon knocked down by Chariot giving a very accurate shot, then both were saved with a magical force field, but not everything was flowers when on the other side appeared another cultist shooting against them, what unfortunately some shots got Velma.
" Velma!" said Croix in despair.
" Ohhhh, so we have witches here wanting to go to the... " Said the cultist before getting shot in the forehead that came from Bernadette.
" Before you shut your fucking mouth " Cavendish said.
" Woah... Baby, not for nothing but you're so attractive like this," Laura said.
" This is no time for that Freckles, let's get Sarah safely to Luna Nova " Said the wife as McLaren went looking half weeping at Velma's body on the ground.
" How awful, how can they do that to ours " Croix said.
" They are very cruel indeed, since I left my family home I have been hearing about them, they killed all my mothers' friends out of consideration," Chariot said.
" You have to take a break from this Mrs McLaren it's kind of risky for a woman like you to be in that position " Meridies said.
" I'm pregnant not crippled " Said the Irish girl whereupon they follow the journey back to Luna Nova.
The second victim of the cultists that they could discover was being discovered, this time as the days went by they were answering more the emergency calls, and for a while Laura didn't participate due to pregnancy, that was until Hellene's birth, that changed things more.

Much more planned they were already getting the contact of every witch family they knew, with a whole line that Holbrooke made calling former students who possibly had families, which was serving to have a more forewarned situation of how to rescue the daughters and also protect the remaining survivors, which were being called for multiple rescue missions in the midst of this time, only some of them ended in disaster, much because they never arrived in time to rescue the parents, already seeing the child about to be killed.
In one of those calls came to Bernadette?s cellular, it was a call from Beatrice England who was desperate to ask for help to them, since she was being attacked by the cultists and Laura, Bernadette, Croix and Chariot went flying, becoming there the rescue group of the children, filling little by little that orphanage that could pretend better before the cultists.
When they arrive at Bradford city, they come across a basket that was floating in a lake near the mansion, in it they take and see a child crying, together with it had a letter from Beatrice.
"Laura and Bernadette, if you are reading this I am probably no longer amongst you and I have sent my daughter to be rescued, please look after Hannah with all your love and care, I could not be a responsible enough mother but I know you will be, tell her I love her deeply and please do not risk yourselves trying to save me, take Hannah, she is priority... Beatrice England"
" You two take Hannah, Bern and I will save Beatrice " McLaren said.
The two agree at once and go away from there taking off, already the pair of girls goes to the inside of the mansion noticing that there was a scene of carnage and bodies on the floor, where they went until they could hear screams and also shots of magic, in the middle of the way they come across Beatrice running and the cultist going to hit a spell, but that was defended by the two witches.
" Hannah! Save her! I can secure myself here " Beatrice said.
" Bea, we've already saved her, now it's our chance to save you " Cavendish said.
" Wow Laura, you've put on weight hein " England said getting a middle finger from McLaren.
" I'm still going to lose the weight I gained with Hellene, our priority is not that " Said the Irishwoman who went going against one of the cultists.
In the middle of the fight another one appears and Beatrice sacrifices herself being hit instead of the two what she manages to hit a shot on the same one and then the couple also hit the other one, without noticing yet that her friend had been hit, when they look back they are shocked.
" Beatrice! " Laura said in shock.
" Tell Hannah I love her very much, heh, I don't think magic is going to cure that " England said being healed by Bernadette, but it wasn't working.
" Damn it! Oh, shit! Oh, shit! Damn it! She's going to die! " Cavendish said in despair.
" Try to keep calm love " McLaren said.
" Please let me go, I know it will be better for my Hannah that she is in your hands, I know you are doing a whole rescue of witch children, keep doing it, I believe in you, I know you will be able to succeed... " Said Beatrice who then ended up spitting blood and gave her last words.
Frustrated, the two then go flying back to Luna Nova, after all Laura is crying because she is losing one more person who is connected with what happened back in 1999, practically all her 1987 classmates were dying, becoming one more red X in the middle of the list.

Other rescues were happening in the middle of this period, filling more Luna Nova that was starting to have a big problem on how to look so many children, change nappies, even more between the former teachers that decided to stay to perform these services, this time Chariot and Croix would be out, due to the priority of studying, what Laura and Bernadette were called during the time that the youngest were at school for the rescue of a girl that would be a little bit far away, but could be important.
They go traveling to Russia, in the middle of the interior of Siberia, where they see that there was a fight between what seemed to be a demon and cultists that were little by little being attacked as if they were nothing, including Laura and Bernadette arrived to help and a lady with pink hair reveals herself to them " Woah... That was too incredible " Said Laura scratching the back of her neck.
" Take my granddaughter to her safe place, control her curse, please give her as much care as you need, I know that with you she will be safe," said the girl's grandmother.
" And who are you? And why don't you come with us to be safe? " McLaren asks.
" She will be safer in the hands of caring people like you, try to control my granddaughter's demonic powers, she can be more stable, I will stay here to protect my home, I am sure Jasminka will be in good hands " Said the self who was just walking from there like it was nothing.
" That's strange... But at least she didn't end up dying like the many we end up finding out there, so at least we have a survivor " McLaren said as she went to take a look at the little one.
" Come on, I didn't remember it being so cold here " said Bernadette shivering and then received a kiss from her wife.
" That's better " said the Irish woman.
" Laura! In front of the child! You really have no shame do you? " said the blushing Cavendish.
" And what's the problem, Diana and Hellene will learn what a good thing is by watching us," said the blue-eyed girl with her hand on the waist of the olive-green-eyed girl.
They take from there the child called Jasminka with them, arriving back to Luna Nova, which was already the twentieth child rescued in the middle of all this time, practically from everywhere in the world, they were managing to go to have a larger capacity for the orphanage, which could already serve enough to fool the cultists, but even so they kept the magic protecting the place to avoid the worst.

The number of rescued witches was already 32, which was increasing the hopes of Luna Nova becoming the sanctuary of the new generation of witches, many of them were found with their families already dead, others even with their children alive, which took a lot of stomach and courage of the four who went on these missions, seeing such traumatizing scenes all the time.
In the midst of this arrived with a basket with a child, an older lady, she was on her way to Luna Nova, where she gave a knock on the door and in it was a girl, being soon received by Holbrooke, where she showed the clear concern.
" Hello, why are you bringing this child here? " McLaren asks.
" I know you are protecting ours, I want to leave my granddaughter here before the cultists show up and kill her, the parents just don't give a damn what is happening right in front of our eyes, please take care of Amanda " Said the lady handing the child over.
" Ohhh, we'll do our best, we'll look after her as best we can, but are you sure her parents won't think it's bad that she's here? " said the Irish girl.
" They don't give a damn because they wanted a boy, I will make sure to hide everything, I know that you can keep this secret safe with us, the more you will go after the Irish side of the family, but you will never think here, anyway thank you for what you are doing, you are heroines you know " Said the lady who was leaving.
With the basket in hands Laura is taking the child, feeling even happier when she realizes that she was called a heroine, she was feeling much happier and honoured, because no one had ever before given so much honour like that to herself, and she was feeling much better, delivering the girl to one of the rooms, where she thought well and left it together with the other girl's one that her grandmother had left rescued.
" You two were given by your grandmothers, you will be great friends someday I know, you will have a lot of history to share, an American and a Russian, that will be interesting to see," said Laura who then saw her wife leaning on the door.
" Another one? " Bernadette asks.
" You know how it is... Now this one was delivered by her grandmother, she said she wanted to save her granddaughter from the cultists hand, it seems that her parents don't care about her, she came from the United States for what I could notice in the little card left... The accent of the lady was very Irish, I felt at home talking to her, kind of strange heh... She called us Bern heroines... I wonder if we really are " said McLaren who was hugged from behind by the woman.
" Look I don't know about you, but I think you are the heroine of my heart and of all these little lassies too, I am sure what she is saying is the most pure truth, now let's go on because here there is still a lot of work to do, we have nappies to change " said Cavendish.
" Oh who was it this time? " asks the Irish woman.
" Hellene and Diana at the same time and you know that now it's your turn to swap them, let's go clean these butts " said the Scot who then also ended up slapping his wife's ass.
From there they went to exchange the two daughters, which was a rather calm process for McLaren, who had a certain expertise, since she also helped exchange the other children of Luna Nova, since they had plenty of babies there, and all this while she still had to take care of her own daughters, giving all the love in the world.
" To think that you two are getting to be big little children, soon Diana has to stop wearing nappies, you have to learn to hold and do things when you call us," said the redhead.
" Mama Laura " said little Diana.
" Mama " said little Hellene.
" The children we are rescuing are already getting to their age range, I wonder how it will be from now on when they will create a greater attachment with their parents, even more seeing these horror scenes " Bernadette said while another sound was very perceptible and this one was of Croix and Chariot arguing.
" I already said Croix it was unintentional I didn't mean to do that to you " Du Nord said.
" Chariot went in front of the whole class! We're going to be known as a little couple! You have no shame! You kissed my mouth! " said the furious Meridies.
" But it was supposed to be your cheek, it's not my fault you turn your face away and still grab my waist, it's not even like you... " Said the red haired girl who was soon silenced by her friend with a finger on her mouth.
" Ihhhhh, looks like the two doves are about to start something, did you know that something always smelled Croix and Chariot to me in this "friendship" " Bernadette said.
" Look at the smell so far is only being from our lassies' dirty nappies hahaha " Said Laura hugging her wife watching the two girls sort of arguing still until they break up and Chariot herself comes to be consoled by the foster mothers.
The rescue missions have been a great success, where the group formed by Laura, Bernadette and the young girls Chariot and Croix, are risking themselves in the middle of the missions to save the little witches and even their mothers from the clutches of cruel cultists. Everything also has the help of Holbrooke who created a real communication network with the children's parents already giving a warning of a probable invasion of the cultists who were continuing their missions at full speed.
