A soft glow flow through the windows, shining a calming light over Orion's eyes slowly rising him from his sleep. Looking around the dimly lit room, he could do little but ask, "Where am I?"

After taking a quick look around he noticed that he was in a hospital room, an AV bag on his arm and the calming noise of the monitor drowning the room.

"Was it all a dream?", he wondered aloud, suddenly the door to the room swung open.

From the door appeared a young doctor with blonde hair, a large set of bangs over her left side of her face and a concerned look in her blue eyes. "Oh, your awake" she said, walking over to the bed she picked up a clipboard with your name on it.

"So, mister Paxxon, how are you feeling today". "Uh, I feel fine I suppose, miss…" "Doctor Ziegler" she said. "Right, Doctor Ziegler, if I may ask what exactly happened to me". "Well mister Paxxon, you are a very lucky man, you manage to survive being hit by a truck. I assume you have your cybernetics to thank."

"Cybernetics?" "The implants on your chest" she said.

"So, it wasn't a dream" he thought. "It is strange we could not find any records of them do?" she said inquisitive. "Well, the world is still trying to pit itself together, I supposed it just got lost in the system" he lied. "That could be right, still I'm going to need to keep you under observation for a while, is that alright." She asked.

"No problem, doctor." Orion answered.

Soon after that the doctor left the room Orion was left alone with his thoughts. "So, I supposed everything that happened was true, I am some kind of alien demigod. So, what now, I said I would fight this great evil but how? That doctor was nice, she seems familiar do?"

Days later Orion was still in his hospital bed, often Dr. Ziegler came to check on him, during these moments he would mostly stay quit, deep in thought. Today began like one of those days, but it would become something else entirely.

"Good day mister Paxxon, how's the day treating you today", asked Dr. Ziegler.

"Well doctor, but do you mind if I ask a question" Orion said.

"Of course!" she responded.

"I notice your accent, you're not from around here correct" he said.

"No, I'm actually from Switzerland, why do you ask?" "Why are you here, why did you help me?" Orion answered. "You suffered a severe injury and I happen to be visiting, I have some experience with severe injuries." She said with a sullen voice.

"That's not what I mean, why do you help does in need, why do you keep going." Orion said with a pensive tone.

"Because I can, because I don't want others to suffer, to lose someone they love." She answered with a hint of sadness in her words.

"I lost someone I loved, her name was Ariel, she also wanted to help people, became somewhat of a rebel, they used to call her" Elita", he he. I always believed I could be like her someday; guess I was always a bit of an optimist. But after she died, I have had a hard time moving forward, I want to help but I'm not sure how?" Finished Orion.

"Well, why not do what she did, I can teel you have a kind heart mister Paxxon, I think you can make a difference, we all help in our own ways." the doctor answered with caring eyes. "I always believe that there is nothing more importance than fighting for freedom and love."

"Even when you have lost so much, when you feel so alone." asked Orion.

"Especially when you feel like that, because that is when you realize that you are never alone. But what do I know, I'm only a doctor." She finished with a cheeky smile.

"Thank you for that, and you are so much more that that Mercy." He replied to with a smirk of his own.

"Ha, ha, ha, I supposed it was only a matter of time before you figure it out." Mercy laughed. And for the first time in a while Orion laughed as well, maybe he was finally ready to fight the good fight and learn to light the darkest of hours.
