Chapter 44:
After the two of them sensed Obito scanning recklessly through dimensions as if he was sampling a chapter of books in a library, Misaki and Sasuke did their best to locate the place where the connection felt strongest. It was difficult since the portal was opening and closing so fast, until…
"Over there!" Misaki gasped as she felt not only Obito but also Sakura plain as they.
"SASUKE-KUN! MISAKI! OVER HERE! Hurry!" Sakura screamed for them, before tumbling out her words, and the portal began closing. Misaki tried to flash them to where Sakura and Obito were to no avail.
Obito began panting heavily and the portal began to narrow, very very fast.
"Let's go" Sasuke grabbed Misaki's hand and sprinted for the narrowing portal.
"Sasuke-kun! Damn it!" Despite giving it her all, Obito yelled out in pain before the portal closed indefinitely right before their eyes.
"No way!" Sakura couldn't even express her disbelief properly before exhaustion took over her. Thankfully Sasuke caught her before he hit the ground.
Wait.
"Sasuke-k-kun"
"You did well, Sakura, we owe you one…both of you" Misaki thanked, placing her hand on Obito's shoulder with a small smile before handing him a food pill to recover his strength.
"How did you do it?" Obito as he swallowed the food pill.
"Don't look at me, I couldn't flash towards you and Sakura, I guess that's one of the techniques ' limitations, good thing. It was Sasuke who got us out in time" Misaki raised her hands in surrender.
"It's one of my abilities, I can shift myself between spaces, although only over a finite distance," Sasuke explained.
"As far as his dojutsu can see, I think," Misaki theorized.
"Thanks to that, we made it in time." Sasuke looked at Misaki and nodded.
Sasuke sat Sakura down, and Misaki handed her a food pill and a flask of her water.
"It must have taken a lot out of you two just to open a portal much less search for us, get some rest while you still can, we'll stand guard" Misaki smiled at Sakura.
Despite eating the food pill, Obito was not recovering as fast as he would like, and his body clamored for strength, he still had one job left.
His body stumbled forward, barely conscious he caught himself on all fours, before him his hands began disappearing into darkness.
Rin
'Hey hang in there, I was just starting to warm up to you' Obito heard Misaki's voice and he finally gasped for air, before realizing it was easier to breathe this time.
"Thank goodness" Sakura looked at her with worried eyes, on the opposite of him, Misaki supported him upright, the palm of her hand laying on her chest.
"This isn't team Madara you know, you can lean on us" Misaki smiled, a smile that reminded him so much of his late sensei.
Misaki grabbed both his hands and placed it on her shoulders.
"We're going back, you two grab hold onto me" Obito announced confidently, feeling the tingle of Misaki's strength tingle on the palms of his hand.

Kakashi watched helplessly as Naruto and his clones took on a foe on a caliber none of them had ever dreamed of, much less seen, until today.
"I'm still not done! There's no way I'd ever lose to the like of you!" Naruto burst out, sending his barrage of clones against Kaguya without rest. One after the other, Naruto's clones fell against Kaguya, but Narutod Never let up.
'What the hell am I doing wallowing when Naruto is doing his best, that's why I am no good, there must be something I can do' Kakashi thought hard. Next to him Obito's portal opened giving way for Sasuke, Sakura, Misaki and Obito himself to land on soft snow.
"Sasuke!" Black Zetsu was the first one to react.
"Obito!" Kakashi exclaimed.
"We're back" Misaki greeted as he approached Kakashi. Sasuke looked to Misaki one last time before jumping across the trench to approach the battlefield.
"They're reunited!"
"He's here!" Naruto declared, in a blink of an eyes, Kaguya has him wrapped in her hair and stabbed him straight.
"Now there is nothing to worry about" Kaguya was quick to shoot down their hopes. Everyone gasped, as they watched Naruto waste away into ashes.
"Naruto!" Sakura called out.
"You sound so confident, but I hate to burst your bubble" Misaki smirked at Kaguya, seconds before Naruto burst in front of her in a dusty poof.
"This is Naruto you're talking about" Misaki finished.
"He disappeared?! He passed his truth seeking orbs to a clone! We fell for something so simple" Black Zetsu ranted.
"Thank you Obito, Sakura-chan"
"Sasuke! Did you thank Obito and Sakura-chan properly" Naruto levitated lower to scold Sasuke.
"Focus on the enemy" Sasuke scolded back.
Well Naruto has alway been unexpected, even before.
"Ka-san, since they have reunited, we cannot be stingy with chakra" Black Zetsu advised.
"I know that" Kaguya looked at them like they were stubborn insects before stretching out her hands, dragging them to another trip.
This time they were brought into a dimension that brought them to their knees, literally. Their body felt several times heavier, as if it was trying to dig into the very ground itself.
Misaki watched as Naruto's shadow clones dropped like flies. Misaki tried to gain a foothold, or chakra or anything as they were all exposed and vulnerable like this.
It was only consolation that in the plane, Kaguya was as vulnerable as they were.
Misaki tried so hard to push herself up on all fours, struggling harder as Kaguya pointed her technique towards Sasuke and Naruto once again.
"Naruto! Sasuke" Misaki let out an ear piercing screech, stretching out her hand, trying to release her chakra chains or gather enough chakra to flash Naruto and Sasuke out of the way.
Please, anything…
Next to her Kakashi stood against gravity, running as fast as he possibly could to stand between Sasuke and Naruto.
No, please no
Misaki felt her a tear escape her eye, her lithe form struggling so hard to no avail, she felt helpless and useless, unable to do anything.
"Obito-you" Kakashi looked at Obito with wide eyes, Kaguya's all killing ash bones buried deeply into his guts
"Kakashi, you stay here, don't rush to follow us" Obito huffed. Misaki's eyes were wide, out of all of them, she cared much less for Obito, but still something tight wrapped around her heart as they had to watch him wither away due to the effects of Kaguya's jutsu, he was already living on borrowed time, so why does it affect her this much.
"Why, I thought we both resolved to….your power is still needed here!" Kakashi berated, Obito.
"Why would you do this for someone useless like me?"
"Nevermind that, be wary of the enemy," Obito rebuffed.
Naruto gathered his all to stand and touch Obito's back in an attempt to save him.
"It's useless Naruto, he's a goner, he'll rot away like trash and die." Black Zetsu taunted.
"He'r right Naruto, don't waste your chakra," Obito advised.
"Why do you sympathize with him? He was originally your enemy right? Then again, he's a traitor to us now, a loser on both sides, hated and resented by friend and foe alike," Black Zetsu continued to haunt Obito with his nagging.
"You're right" Obito cut him off, but before anything could continue, Sasuke was making use of Black Zetsu's litany of collecting chakra.
In a snap, Sasuke willed himself towards Kaguya with Raikiri activated in his hand. Kaguya was able to dodge Sasuke, but this worked to their advantage as she was forced to drag them into another dimension.
Misaki was quick to stand on her toes this time, the bitter taste of the feeling left to her by the previous dimension lingering at the base of her tongue.
"Naruto, I'll handle the diversions this time, he's beyond help, come with me" Sasuke too was quick to gather composure, already activating his susanoo.
When Naruto stood fast with Obito, with determined unchanging eyes, Sasuke went on ahead.
"Damn it! Damn it Damn it!" Naruto began cursing as he was helpless in stopping Obito from withering away.
Misaki approached Naruto and slapped his back.
"I'll take point" Misaki whispered, passing by Obito she gave him one last look before looking ahead and drawing her sword.
She only had a limited amount of chakra having used up all her reserves, what's left of her she has to make it count.
"Sensei, lend me your strength" Misaki kissed the hilt of her katana, taking a deep breath, she measured each inhale and exhale, keeping in line with a rhythm, after images began forming in her pace before she finally disappeared with the wind.
"Don't laugh at Obito" Naruto threatened as the final traces of Obito was reduced to a lump of ashes.
"Naruto if you don't stop resisting, you'll end up pitifully crumbling to ash just like him" Black Zetsu had the guts to peek out from Kaguya's sleeves just to make fun of their plight.
"As someone who tried to become the hokage, Obito is nothing but awesome to me!" Naruto declared.
In time with his declaration, Misaki appeared next to Kaguya and sliced her arm, severing her of her favored child. Then another after image came from above, her movements so intune with a certain rhythm, she left a trail of afterimages in her wake.
"Ninpou: Adementine rain" Misaki's forms began pooling golden chakra behind her, before it all rained down on Kaguya, with the needles mimicking and creating after images themselves, iot made it difficult for Kaguya to discern which is there and which is not. Luckily for her, the needles did nothing more than bite her like a persistent mosquito.
On the ground, Black Zetsu watched as Misaki brazenly attacked his mother.
"Didn't think I'd let you get away with that big mouth of yours" Misaki wrapped him around with a sealing formula.
"You make fun of Obito, but let me tell you one thing, I was able to reach you, because when you leeched yourself onto Obito, my chakra was able to mark you, that's how I was able to separate you from your mother" Misaki whispered, pulling him out of Kaguya's torn sleeve and sealing him inside a cage.
"Since you're so fond of recording history, I'll let you watch so you have a front view seat of your mother's downfall…again"
"Don't worry, we won't be forgetting about you" Misaki gave him a cheshire grin to match his before disappearing once more.
Misaki's attack gave Sasuke a good opening. Behind Naruto, Misaki returned and slapped him once again in the back.
"You're turn" Misaki whispered as Naruto nodded, understanding what she wanted to do. Midair Sasuke lunged at Kaguya with susanoo, but once again she was able to deflect and neutralize his attacks, but this time there was no rest for Kaguya as she floated backwards, nine Narutos were waiting for her, each carrying a rasen shuriken unique to each bijuu's special ability.
Misaki stood back and watched as the combined techniques blew up on Kaguya.
When the dust settled, Kaguya stood barely anything changed, but the wear and tear in her clothing, at first. Her severed arm began to bloat out of control disfiguring and dismorphing her body into a giant ball of mess, the heads of the bijuu distinct and recognizable except for the creature in the forefront carrying Kaguya's tsukiyomi eye on its forehead.
Are the bijuu reacting from within Kaguya, like they did with Obito? Misaki thought, whatever it was, it was unstable and they needed to be prepared for what's next.
Hands began sprouting from everywhere the big ball of bijuu heads and started coming after them. Misaki sprinted backwards to get away slicing everything that gets in her way. To her far right, Sakura was struggling to get away from the hands herself.
"SAKURA" Misaki swerved, trying to get to her as fast as she could, but it was proving to be difficult when hands were trying to get to her too.
"Shit" Misaki mumbled, the hands were moving too fast she couldn't even collect enough chakra to flash to Sakura.
Out of nowhere a different set of gigantic hands grabbed her from behind.
Susanoo, and its…blue? Misaki looked up to see Sasuke looked just as surprised as she was, on the opposite hand she saw Sakura being carried too. She finally looked up to see…
Kakashi, donning both of Obito's sharingan.
How in the world? Misaki muttered, she didn't watch Obito wither away but she was so sure that Kaguya's technique reduces everything of its target into ashes.
Everything.
"Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura exclaimed.
"No way! That's Impossible!"
"Sure it is, we're talking about the copy ninja Kakashi of the Sharingan" Naruto countered.
"But he shouldn't have the sharingan anymore…"
"Hey, how about we talk about details later, for now, there is still giant hands coming our way" Misaki warned.
Thus, Copy Ninja Kakashi of the sharingan did not disappoint, living up to his name as the only one outside of the dojutsu clan to harness it's power, now he is taking making use of the sharingan to a whole new level, mangekyou levels. Tossing both Misaki and Sakura beside him, he met Kaguya's oncoming attack with precision, combining kamui with a shurinken attack, the time he spent on the side lines collecting whatever strength he had was well worth this moment.
But they can only count victory where they can, because no matter how victorious they seem, Kaguya still has the advantage of taking them wherever the hell they prefer, and if history dictates, she alway takes them to where she gains the most advantage. The land they were hovering above of burst of chakra like it was a newly uncovered fresh spring, it was the chakra of the people stuck inside the divine tree.
Using this, Kaguya collected and concentrated its power into a singularity, making it bigger and bigger as she simultaneously broke free from her monstrous form.
"That thing, it's like the black thing floating behind me"
"The different in size is too drastic"
"I definitely can't teleport away with such a gigantic object with Kamui, even if we get out of this time-space and escape temporarily, if that thing becomes too big, we won't be able to return here," Kakashi weighed their odds against the next attack, however while they were discussing how to stop it, Misaki was reaching within her for her last resort, her last chakra reserve.
In four different points from the north, south, east and west, gigantic chains anchored themselves before wrapping around the black orb, constricting around it in an effort to stop its growth.
"THAT?!" everyone turned next to Kakashi to find Misaki kneeling on one knee, her hands firmly clapped together.
"I can't stop it, but I can slow it down, so you do what you have to do" Misaki said, in measured controlled words, trying not to show the strain Kaguya's technique is taking its toll on her.
"The only way to stop the attack it to-"
"We need to seal the rabbit granny right away!"
"That's right"
"Gather round, I have a plan, I'm sorry Misaki, but we're going to need you to hold on for a little while. This will be our last mission as the former squad seven" Kakashi gathered his former students.
On the other hand, Kaguya leisurely floated before them, outstretching, her arms fully regenerated and complete.
"I am immortal, if either of you die, you cannot seal me away, now then, which shall it be" Kaguya threatened whilst she activated her byakugan. In an effort to protect them from byakugan, Naruto gathered his clones closer to cover the originals.
"You're mine damn it" Naruto yelled pushing down the clone in front of him.
"No, we have to attach her together, she's scared of being sealed away and her attention will be divided. Take me part of the way and I'll fly the rest of the way" Sasuke countered.
Just as planned the two attacked together, meeting Kaguya half way, who not only intended to finish the two, but also the people behind them as she simultaneously targeted her all killing bones towards Kakashi, Misaki and Sakura.
So fast! Kakashi thought, as as he met the attack, looking sideways to the two kunoichi behind him, only to find that they were no longer there.
Misaki probably already flashed them to safety, being able to use teleportation jutsu is a handy ability Obito. Now I can finally resurrect this move
He continued to fall as he collected chakra in his hand, forming his signature move derived from his sensei's chidori; raikiri, this time made even more powerful. Kakashi then directed his fall towards Kaguya herself, who just realized that her attack did not meet its mark.
"Kamui Raikiri" Kakashi sliced through Kaguya's right arm
As Kaguya was unable to regain herself from the trajectory of the attack, it left her open for Naruto and Sasuke to attack and come for her in both directions. With her left hand still intact, she pointed her all-killing ash in the direct line of Naruto.
As soon as she released her technique and it hit Naruto, Sasuke poofed revealing the real Naruto, and Sasuke who was still behind a number of clones.
Using his sharingan's teleportation, Sasuke switched himself in place of Naruto's crumbling clone, successfully putting Kaguya in the middle of their line of collision.
Below them Misaki and Sakura watched, observing Kaguya as she weighed her options, timing the precise moment to-.
"Now Sakura!" Misaki activated the mark she left on Kaguya when she released her adamantine rain on her, sending Sakura above them just as she was about to ascend away from the two reincarnates.
"Don't forget about me, we're both women so don't mock me!" Sakura said and landed an enhanced punch right on Kaguya's head driving her back down.
"NOW"
"CHA!"
"Alright"
GO FOR IT! Misaki yelled at the top of her lungs...
"Rikodo:Planetary Devastation!"
Finally both the sun and moon landed on Kaguya.

Hagoromo, now in the land of the living standing amongst the kages of the past both reanimated and souls alike watched as the moon and the sun reflected on its palms.
"They finally did it, now" it was his turn to bring together his sun and moon.

Originally I was gonna give a whole Sakura is jealous that Sasuke and Misaki are stuck together moment, but I think it would have been uncharacteristic and unfair to her character, she may have streaks of annoying habits and moments, but as a whole, she cares for her friends deeply, so I decided to scratch the idea.
This chapter is probably the harshest blow to Misaki's fighting style. First, heavy gravity dimension is probably the harshest on Misaki, speed has always been her strong point and she relies on her speed so much she never really had the chance to use strength, so being in that plane where she was so heavy she couldn't move took a huge toll on her mentally and physically as she has never been put into a situation where she couldn't escape with speed.
Another thing she is not good at is endurance since she has developed a style of using speed to finish as fast as she can, so having to be the one to hold on to something whilst everyone went to battle and having to sustain a gigantic technique such as stopping Kaguya's black orb is not her forte.
