Shadaloo Base.
"Seems I underestimated you and your friends. Too bad none of you will live to make the same attempt again." Bison stated. He started to hover off the floor and had a weird purple-ish energy coursing around his body. Peter figured it was the source of his powers, but it didn't matter right now. He needed to make sure everyone got out of this base alive.
"Juri, you've fought this guy before. How do we beat him?" Peter asked.
Juri simply smirked as she got into her usual stance. "The three of you need to move faster than he can. Otherwise, you're dead." Peter nodded his head as he looked towards Rogue and Widowmaker.
"Rogue, Help Juri attack him from below. Widow, we're going aerial." The both of them nodded as they each got prepared to fight.
Bison simply smirked at the prey beneath him. He knew that Juri was on par with him, but the rest were weaklings. He knew he had to be weary of Spider-Man however, as he had no idea how strong or fast, he could possibly be. With that floating through his mind, he aimed for Spider-Man first, crossing his arms and immediately teleporting behind him. Thanks to his Spider sense however, Peter swiftly delivered a roundhouse kick to Bison face when he appeared behind him.
"Try again Grandpa." Peter quipped. Bison lost the smirk on his face as he stared down Spider-Man, with the intent to massacre him.
"Fool. No one berates me and gets away with it."
"Geez, do ya have to talk like a comic book villain?" Rogue interjected. Bison turned his attention to Rogue, which gave Juri the perfect opportunity to strike. She rushed Bison and hit him with her pinwheel kick move that pushed Bison back a bit. She continued her assault, following up with kick after kick until Bison grabbed one of her legs mid attack and threw her over his shoulder, putting her on the floor. Bison raised his foot to stomp his foot on top Juri, but she rolled out of the way before he was able to. He turned her direction, only to be greeted with a face full of webs.
"Peekaboo." Peter quipped. Bison swung wildly as he was blinded, but Peter simply vaulted over him and kicked him in the back of the head, causing Bison to stagger. Peter knew as long as Bison was still confused and bombarded with attacks, he wouldn't be able to use his full power to fight back. He kept shooting webs at Bison, hoping to get him stuck to one place. Unfortunately, he used his power to evaporate the webs instantly. He turned his attention to Peter as he was close to the ground, waiting for Bison to attack.
"I grow tired of these games." Bison stated. He started to charge some power in his hand as Peter prepared himself to dodge. But while Bison was focusing on him, Widowmaker swung in on her grappling hook and kicked Bison in the back of his head, causing him to fall down face first onto one of her venom mines she placed down immediately after. The mine exploded in his face, enveloping his immediate area with toxic gas. Bison desperately tried to gasp for air while retreating from the cloud. In doing so, he ran into Rogue, who already had her glove off and held it up to his face, draining his powers from him and his consciousness. After a few seconds, Bison passed out as Rogue stumbled away from his unconscious body. Everyone stood over Bison in shock at how relatively easy the fight was.
"Did...did we just beat him?" Peter asked. The four of them looked at each other for confirmation before Juri spoke up.
"For now. Either way I don't think we should leave it to chance he comes back for us." Juri said. Her eye started to glow as she looked over at Bison, getting ready to kill him. Peter saw her and immediately ran in front of her to stop the execution. Juri immediately got mad and quickly went from somewhat calm to close to psychopathic.
"You better have a really good reason for interrupting this Spidey."
"Look we both know that Bison and Seth are gunning for the other's death. What do you think is going to happen if one finds out the other is dead before we're ready to take them out?"
"Dont know, don't care. He's dying, here and now."
"Juri, listen to me! We kill Bison now and whatever plan Seth and S.I.N are planning that they had to gun for the X-Men is going to get kicked into second gear. And we don't even have the slightest idea of Seth's plan."
"Told you back in Mexico, not my problem. Now either get out of the way or I'm going to cave in both you and Bison's chests." Juri said. Widowmaker had her hands on her gun, ready to shoot Juri if needed. Peter refused to move and Juri had started to power her eye again.
"I'm getting real tired of you trying to make me play hero Pete-" Juri suddenly started screaming and quickly fell to the floor, knocked out. Peter looked down at her, then where she was standing to see Rogue had touched her as well to prevent another fight. Although they avoided another fight, Rogue looked worse for wear.
"You ok Rogue?"
Rogue held both her hands to her head. The memories of both Bison and Juri were fresh in her head, and overloading her mental state. "Both of their memories, I can't get them to calm down." Rogue quickly fell to the ground as well, still clutching her head in pain. Widowmaker ran to her side and put her arm around her shoulder.
"We have to get out of here. His soldiers will be here any minute, plus we don't know what happened with Wrench." Widowmaker said. Peter nodded and took off with them but turned around looking back at Juri. The sensible part of him told him to leave her there and let Juri and Bison sort it out while everyone else figured out how to deal with Seth, but Peter rarely listened to his sensible side these last few years. He ran back to Juri and carried her the fireman position as he caught up with Widowmaker and Rogue in the elevator.
"You really think its a good idea to bring her with us?"
"Not really, but I'm not taking any chances her and Bison make amends to come after us." The four of them went up the elevator and booked to the security room Wrench was in. They couldn't find him, but they did find his mask. It was broken and had some blood on it, but it didn't look like a gunshot and there was no blood on the inside of the mask, so Peter was hopeful. They then ran outside the facility, where the whole place started to go on lockdown. Soldiers started to surround them in every direction they possibly could. Peter and Widowmaker couldn't see a possible opening to take advantage of without getting shot, so they didn't try to make a move. Around this time, Juri started to wake back up and was furious with Peter. She forced herself off of him and stared him down with a death glare. Needless to say, Peter was more worried what Juri was thinking than the heavily armed guards all around them.
"Are you a complete fucking IDIOT?!" Juri yelled at Peter, grabbing his collar. She held her free fist getting ready to punch him, when her focus changed to Bison laughing.
"Fools, all of you." Bison smirked. "Did you really think you could take me down?"
"Well...we were hopeful." Peter quipped. Bison's smirked went away as his attention turned towards Peter.
"Crap."
"You should've died at that Mansion." Bison hovered towards Peter and grabbed his face before he had a chance to do anything. Juri was pushed aside as she had a front row view of Bison and Peter.
"Any last words you mongrel?" Bison asked.
"You don't suppose it's too late to ask your fashion designer what they were thinking when they made your outfit, is it?" Peter quipped.
"I grow tired of your sight..." Bison stopped, then had an idea as he started to smile again.
"Your sight. Yes..." Bison slowly lifted his left thumb. Peter realized what Bison was about to do, but was too late to stop it, as Bison drove his thumb into Peter's right eye. Peter screamed in agony as his hands scratched at Bisons in an attempt to save his eye. Unfortunately, Bison pushed his thumb deeper, causing more blood to come out of Peter's eye. Peter was in immense pain, and this lasted for about 3 minutes as Bison wanted to drag out the pain for as long as possible. He eventually let go, letting Peter cover his new gaping wound. He didn't know how bad the damage was, and the adrenaline coursing through him didn't give him a chance to. He used his free left hand to punch Bison with all his strength, causing Bison to fly back from the force but not taking a lot of damage from his power showing up again. Juri followed suit as she attacked the soldiers and wiped out a few while Widowmaker, still holding Rogue, shot the rest of the soldiers. Juri ran to Peter, who was still clutching his eye.
"See why I told you to kill him you idiot?" Juri put Peter's arm over her shoulder as the four of them ran towards the airstrip. The blizzard started to pick up, causing everyone to have a hard time seeing, as well as starting to have the group start freezing. Peter faded into unconsciousness from the pain and blood lost as the adrenaline wore off. She took the ear piece off him and put it on.
"Hello?! Anyone on this damn thing?"
"Juri? How'd you get onto Peter's line?" Chun-Li was the first and only person to respond.
"Bison injured him badly, he's unconscious and bleeding out. Where the hell are you?"
"We're taking the plane down the airstrip; do you see it?" Juri focused her eyes to see through the snow and fog surrounding the area. She activated the Feng Shui eye and scanned through the snow more clearly. She spotted the plane slowly moving, getting ready to take off soon, Both Juri and Widowmaker started running with the people they were holding to the plane as they tried to catch up with the side of the plane as there was a door on the side to get on. The door opened and they were greeted by a maskless and injured Wrench, and a confused Guile.
"Soldier boy! You're gonna help us out or just stand there like an idiot?!" Juri yelled. Guile sighed in response as both him and Wrench stuck their hands out. Widowmaker went first as she lifted Rogue to the pair, and they brought he in safely, as Widowmaker followed suit. The plane started to pick up some more speed, but Juri was able to keep up pace. She lifted up Peter and the pair followed suit as they did with Rogue. The plane started picking up more speed, and now Juri was struggling to keep pace. Wrench reached out his hand to pick up Juri, but Guile threw him back into the cargo hold and closed the door.
Juri saw this and started to lose her temper, but still followed the plane, looking for any type of entrance to get on. Meanwhile in the plane, Wrench was pissed off in his own right.
"What the fuck Guile? She's still out there."
"She's dangerous. We're better off without her."
Wrench pointed at Peter's unconscious body. "You want his help, yet you're doing the exact opposite thing he would do."
"Him working with Juri is the reason we're in this mess, and why he's like that now." Wrench shook his head as he looked at the door. He knew it'd be impossible for Juri to catch up to that door now, both with the plane gaining more speed before takeoff, and with Guile watching his movement. He looked around and had another idea.
"The cargo door." Wrench said. He ran to the door control panel and flipped the switch down to open the door. Guile saw this and started to run after Wrench, but stopped once he saw Widowmaker pointing the gun at him.
"Do anything to him, and you'll be the one left outside for dead." Widowmaker said calmly, yet coldly.
Wrench then ran to the supports of the ramp and held onto it with one arm as he stuck out his other for Juri to grab onto.
"Juri!" She moved her head to see Wrench, and ran towards his arm and grabbed it, pulling herself onto the plane before it took off the runway. The pair of them took a break to breathe, then Juri made her way to Guile, punching him in the mouth. Wrench, Widowmaker, and Rogue (who just woke back up) pushed Juri back while trying to restrain Guile.
"You're a danger to everyone here! We would've been better off if Peter left you there!" Cammy and Chun-Li entered the cargo bay to see the commotion going on, immediately separating the trio from Guile and trying to calm everyone down.
"What the hell is going on back here?" Cammy asked.
Wrench immediately looked up and was the first one to speak. "Soldier boy over here was prepared to leave one of us behind."
"She's not one of us. She's doing this for her own benefit. As soon as we get rid of Bison and Seth, she'll betray all of us."
"And I guess you would know a thing or two about betrayal, wouldn't you?" Juri responded. Guile walked towards her again, but Wrench and Widowmaker stood in his way.
"Peter trusts her enough to have her help us, and that's good enough reason for me."
"Oh really?"
"Really" Widowmaker responded. Guile shifted his attention over to her.
"And who the hell are you supposed to be?"
"Someone Peter saved a long time ago. I owe him my life because while everyone marked me as a traitor and danger, he was the one person who risked his life to save me. If he trusts this Juri women, then so do I." Widowmaker stared down Guile, who then realized Wrench was assisting her with this as well. This continued for around a minute until Rogue spoke up about Peter's leaking eye wound.
"Would y'all stop arguing for now and figure out how we're supposed to help Peter?" Everyone turned to Peter and Rogue, who they noticed was trying her best not to cry. Wrench kneeled down next to her, hovering over Peter and inspecting his wound.
"What the hell happened to him?"
"Bison stuck his thumb into his eye in a way to hurt or torture him." Juri said. Guile scoffed and headed towards the cockpit while Cammy followed him in an attempt to talk to him while everyone stayed behind. Widowmaker reached into one of her armor pouches and took out a roll of Gauze and wrapped it around Peter's eye in an attempt to stopped the bleeding until they found a permanent solution.
"Pour l'amour de la merde, we need to get him to a doctor, that much is obvious." Widowmaker said. "He won't survive the day if we can't get someone to operate."
"And where the hell are we going to get help without getting us all killed? They seem to have eyes everywhere, and I don't think getting put on the operating table with him is going to get us anywhere." Wrench said. The pair of them were scrambling to come up with possible solutions. Mercy could easily help, but taking the risk to go to either Germany or Watchpoint Gibraltar and her not being at one would've meant Peter's death. Going back to the mansion wasn't an option, and Stark didn't have the right setup to treat a injury of this severity. Hope for Peter's survival grew slimmer and slimmer, until Juri blurted out an answer.
"We need to go back to Egypt."
"Why?" Chun-Li asked. Juri turned around to face all of them.
"I know someone who can keep him alive and is hidden from Shadaloo and S.I.N. We'd be safe until he's stable to fight again."
Everyone seemed skeptical about the solution, mostly because Juri didn't have the best track record and Rogue and Widowmaker barely knew her, but Wrench seemed the only one passionate (or desperate) enough to make sure this was the safest option for them.
"How sure are you they can keep him alive?"
Juri stared at Peter for a bit, before closing her eyes and speaking again. "When they see him, they would risk any and everything to save him."
Rogue stood up, visibly distressed. "And how do you know that?"
Juri took a deep breath and sighed as she opened her eyes again.
"Because they're his parents."
Alright alright I know I know. I went extremely MIA. Put down the pitchforks please. Truth is college hit me crazily and add to the fact I switched my major from accounting to speech and theatre arts so needless to say, the work load been heavy. B U T I'm not giving up on this story or my Inside a Spider's Web because I have plans for more stories after these two are finished and I promise i will finish these two. Can't guarantee when, but hopefully before next year finishes, these two stories will be complete. That being said, hope you all enjoyed and until next time
