Author Note: Sorry for the slow update. I have lots of things to do.

I curl up in a small ball on John's bed, crying with chains on my ankles and collar on my neck. Or rather "our" bed. I've been trapped not only in John's castle, but the book for a few weeks. Throughout this whole time, I am followed around under heavy watch in the castle during the day. At night, John assaults and mentally abuses me, forcing me to strip and sleep next to him while holding my chains.

Sometimes during the day, John would physically abuse me in front of his servants. Some of the servants would turn away and keep working or tell John to stop if they were brave enough. He had about 50 servants or what he called serfs. Men, women and children.

I tired having some freedom. One day I went to the stables and wanted to ride Nymeria around the gardens without telling anyone. 10 minutes later, after tacking and walking Nymeria out, I get caught by John, tells me women aren't meant to ride a horse in a clam tone and leads me back into the castle walls with some servants taking Nymeria's tack off.

I get slapped again in the face and hit the back of my head on the ground.

"Stop complaining Clara! This is your place as my fiancée!" John shouts at me.

Yesterday, John announced we are engaged but never asked for my my hand. That night, he asked for my hand with a fancy diamond ring, the biggest white diamond I've ever seen. I said no and he beats me once again, saying I'm his future bride by the eyes of god.

I raise my head to look around and see a young girl in rags and a man besides her, also in rags. I feel something running down and press my hand to my forehead. It's blood. The girl runs to me and covers my wind with a wet piece of cloth.

"Are you ok Miss?" She says sweetly, smiling. I see her face and there are bags under her eyes, dirt on her face and a scar on her forehead. She looks to be seven years old. I will never forget that girl's smile.

"Yes, thank you sweetie." I say calmly, smiling and stroking her arm.

"Serf! Get away from my fiancée you little runt and get back to work!" I hear John shout behind me.

The little girl recoils from me and bows her head. "Yes sir!" She squeals and runs to the man, most likely her father.

"You should be punished for your insults of a noble man, peasant!" John shouts, making the girl shake in the man's arms.

Before he walks over to them, I get up, run in front of John and speared my arms out. "No John! Leave them alone. They didn't do anything wrong!" I beg. John hesitates for a minute and obeys.

A few weeks have passed since that incident. Tomorrow, me and John are going to be married. I have to get out of here one way or another.

I hear the door open and I know what that means. I shiver and crunch up when I hear footsteps.

"Hello my dear!"

"Leave me alone John." I cry, hugging my legs, keeping myself closed off.

"Come now my dear. Why so sad? Your going to be a bride tomorrow night." John says, but it's arrogant, calm and chilling. Just like when I met him in chapter one.

"I will never marry. Not even to a asshole like you." I mumble under my breath. But John grabs my arms and pins my back to the bed.

John eyes look scary and dangerous as he wraps his hands around my throat . "You are my fiancée and YOU WILL BE MY WIFE!!!" He shouts loudly as his hands tighten around my grip.

I cough and gag, trying get oxygen in. After a minute of fighting, I start to feel lightheaded, my vision starts to burry and I become weak. I think this might be the end of my life. But I tired waking up back to my world and that failed. Maybe if I die here, I can wake up in my own room. I let go and let myself drift, watching my world become pitch black.

I open my eyes and see a dark room around me. I feel giddy of being in my own room again. But I son notice the color on the wall is still dirty green and the same accessories in John's room. I slowly turn around and see my abuser, sleeping right next to me, his day clothes off and latching on to my chains.

I start to sob softly. I didn't die and only fell asleep. I try to remember the book and Pavlova's journey. But as I deal with new situations and conflicts, I lose the memories of the book I still have. I can't live like this. Under heavy watch, can't go anywhere outside the castle grounds and being assaulted by a man who I despise.

I look around and somehow, find a dagger on my nightstand. It's John's and think he placed it there when getting ready for bed. A radical solution comes in my mind. Suicide. I shake at the thought but what chose do I have. I could either go with my theory and WILL wake up in my bedroom or marry John tomorrow and life of sorrow and misery.

I shaky and slowly grab the dagger to bring it up to my chest. My arms are shaking as I think of all the memories of me being in this story, raise up my arms with the dagger in both hands and close my eyes. I take a deep breath and-

"Stop!"

My hands are retrained to go forward and I open my eyes. I see a the same male servant from a few weeks ago with a face of worry, holding my hands.

"Stop Miss. You don't have to do this. We have an escape for you." He says in a quiet voice.

I blink and blow a sigh of relief. But who are "we"? I turn to glance at my fiancé and back to the man. "How?"

The man dip one hand into his pocket and pulled out a key. He places the key in the padlock of my chains and it clicks, unlocking the chains on my body.

"Where did you find that?" I whisper, flabbergasted.

"From the Lord's private study desk in his right drawer."

I roll my eyes. "I thought he would have it on his person."

"The Lord knows you're smart and might escape with that." He says as he gets all the chains unlocked and off of me. I feel I can breathe again. "Come on. We need to hurry and get to the stables before the Lord knows your missing."

The man hands me some riding clothes and I quickly change into it in the bathroom. When I'm done, the servant takes my hand and leads me one of the room walls and opens a door in it that shows a small tunnel inside. It is probably how he got in the room without disturbing me and John.

I walk in the entrance and the man closes the door behind us. There is a lit lamb on a hook in the wall of the small tunnel and the man grabs it. He squeezes to get in front of me and leads me down the 4ft high by 3ft wide tunnel. "Didn't I see you a couple of weeks ago?" I ask, forcing small talk.

"Yes! I was so grateful for you saving my daughter from the hands of the Lord." The man answers.

"What your name?"

"My name is Edward."

"Who is "we" you said earlier?"

But before he can answer, we get to a door and Edward opens it. He helps me out to the open night light and sees a different part of the castle I haven't been in before. We silently tip-toe to a huge door and leads us to the stables, where I see all of the servants and my horse in all tack.

"We are the people who believe a kind and compassionate girl like you doesn't deserve to be in the arms of a man like Lord Schulz." Edward says with confidence.

"Oh my god..." I trail off in shock. I'm surprised and grateful of everyone giving me another radical solution. Flight. "Thank you so much!" I say, almost crying.

A young girl walks to Edward and hugs him with bag in her arms. She turns to me and I recognize her as the girl who helped me up a few weeks ago. "Hello Miss! Here." She says and bows before handing me a bag of food, water, one blanket and other goods. "Thank you for saving me from the Lord's hand. I hope this will help for your travels."

I kneel down and smile sweetly at the little girl, taking the bag. "Thank you sweetie!"

I stand up and the girl stands in front of Edward and he places his hands on her shoulders. "This is my daughter, Isabella." Edward says, smiling.

I bow to him and walks to Nymeria. A man servant hands me her reins and I secure the bag on my shoulder. I turn to the servants and feel tears come to my eyes. "Thank you everyone for helping me. How can I ever repay you?" I say to them.

"By getting on your beautiful horse and get as far and fast away from here as possible and head north." A woman says passionate, grabbing my hand and squeezes it.

"But all of you guys will all be punished when John finds out what happened." I say with worry.

"It doesn't matter. You get going sweetie. We'll be alright." She protest.

I don't argue and get on Nymeria. "Thank you all for everything! Your souls deserve better than this. May god protect you from harm." I say with confidence. Some of the men open the gate and I click Nymeria to walk.

I click Nymeria into a trot when thinking we're far away, into a trot, canter and then a gallop. I look up and see storm clouds over head. A winter storm is coming and we need to get out of here. I don't stop and keep making Nymeria run though the country side in a trot. After countless time of traveling north like the servant woman said, the storm starts to come down but we continue on, even though I see and feel Nymeria's is getting tried. After another X amount of pressing on, I see smoke and yellow specs up ahead. I stop Nymeria and study the image in front of me, confirming a village is near by.

"Nymeria, look! Sanctuary, finally!" I cheer. I look up and the storm is coming in stronger and colder. Nymeria is exhausted to run but I command her in a walk. The snow blows hard but we continue to tread on, determine to not end like this in my will. I start to shiver but I try to fight it. Soon, I hear a loud noise and Nymeria freaks out. She spooks, lifts her feet up, almost making me fall off and starts in a gallop.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa Nymeria! Easy girl! Slow down!" I shout as I hold the reins on for dear life. I hear shouts and yelling before I fall off Nymeria and feel something hard hit my head. I look up and see something dark over me before seeing black and relax my body.

Author Note: One: I'm not a Christian, but I though what John and Clara said was appropriate for the time period. Two: I just got out of school and can spend more time writing what will happen next. Again, I'm so sorry for the long wait. I hope you like the chapter. Please review.
