Isekai No Vayno, Vayne was reborn in a strange world as a cheat vampire?
The sun was setting behind the gloomy skyscrapers of the city, cars and buses glided across the streets of District C. Walking amongst the crowd of white-collar workers with briefcase in hand, Shauna Vayne yawned as she straightened her tie out of habit. Her company was preparing for a last-ditch merge with a more successful company before having to declare bankruptcy, and so her boss had forced everyone to work overtime to make sure that everything was ready for the upcoming press conference.
Vayne yawned again while navigating the crowd, her tired eyes watering from the lack of sleep, black bags could be seen under her eyes and her white shirt was wrinkled from a long day of hard work. Just as Shauna was about to cross the street, the exhausted woman heard a warning shout. Bleary and bloodshot red eyes turned to regard the white truck that was speeding her way. There was a terrible screech of brakes, a sickening bump and then nothing.

Vayne blinked while getting up from the floor. She was in an endless white room even though she had no recollection of how she got there. What appeared to be a little grinning dwarf was sitting on a mushroom plushy nearby, staring at her despite how its eyes were shut.
"Who are you?" Shauna asked while approaching the smiling dwarf, "Am I dead?" She whispered after a short moment of hesitation.
The strange creature giggled, kicking its feet in the air as its grin widened. "I am Kami," It responded in a chirpy tone of voice, "And yes you died, but that was a mistake on Kayn's part. It wasn't your time to die yet, so I am going to send you in another world as an apology."
"Another world?" Vayne frowned like a dense anime protagonist.
"That's what I said," Teemo confirmed after another giggle, "A world of magic and heroes. You are ill-equipped to survive there as you are now, so I will grant you two gifts to help you succeed in your new life."
"What kind of gifts?" Shauna pressured the furry god to reveal his intentions. Her past as a company spokesperson during negotiations with district managers resurfacing after her initial shock wore off.
"First, I will send you to Runettera, that is the name of your new world by the way, as a pureblooded vampire, one of the strongest races in the world." Giggled Godmo, amused by the mortal's serious attitude.
Shauna was conflicted. On one hand she knew from games and movies that vampires were supposedly really strong and could only be killed by silver bullets and fire. On the other hand, Vayne didn't want to be seen as a monster in her new world, and vampires were weak to sunlight. But wouldn't Kami know what was best for her? It- He certainly knew more about the fantasy world he was going to send her than Vayne.
"I will bump up your stats as your second gift," The dwarf-thing continued unperturbed by the mortal's silence, "If you can't match up to your opponents due to the gap in your fighting experience I will make sure that your stats will be high enough for you to be on par with them."
"Thank you." Vayne bowed her head at the strange being, relieved by Kami's thoughtfulness.
"No problem Fam, try to get a boyfriend or a girlfriend this time." Teemo grinned at Shauna while doing a 'shoo shoo' motion. A gust of wind started pushing the woman away from the furry midget. Shauna suddenly found herself falling through a hole in the floor. Her vision turned black a moment later.

Vayne didn't know how much time had passed before she regained consciousness. The walls of the underground chamber she was lying in were made out of dirt. The room was completely dark, yet Shauna had no trouble seeing in front of her. Abruptly a text window popped up above her as she contemplated getting up.

Interesting, so the strange god had kept his word. Shauna slowly got up from the smooth stone slab she had been lying upon. There were piles of old bones around what Shauna had initially thought of as a stone bed, but had quickly realized that was actually an altar. The ceremonial table was decorated with depictions of sharp fangs and human skulls faded from the passage of time. Rusted weapons and broken pieces of armor could be seen under the piles of bones.
Shauna grabbed a chipped sword as she made her way out of the underground chamber, surprised by how light the dull chunk of iron felt in her hand. The path in front of her split into two similar-looking corridors. Their earthen walls were littered with thin tree roots that appeared to be keeping the soil in place, but would occasionally sprout out from their earthly confines like shriveled snake tongues rolling out of eager mouths.
The vampire walked in near silence, her boots echoing monotonously against the cracked cobblestone floor. A transparent display blinked into existence in front of her.
'New title acquired: Dungeon Explorer' She read before the text window disappeared like the first one. Vayne wondered why new information was becoming available to her in a way that resembled the help interference of a video game. The name of her title, however was more important to her than deciphering the oddities of her new fantasy world, for the time being.
Dungeons were manmade structures. That meant that someone had most likely locked her up in this place, or at least liked to capture people, imprisoning them underground. The appearance of the macabre altar and the bones that surrounded it hinted at the existence of some sort of creepy religious sect. One whose members weren't afraid to get their hands dirty.
Vayne was analyzing all the clues she had discovered thus far when a startled scream drew her attention. The vampire halted, listening closely. The path in front of her led to another corridor, this one boasting grey walls of beaten rock. This passageway was illuminated by crude torches.
"Help!" A feminine voice yelled, sounding desperate. Vayne dashed in its direction, sprinting across narrow corridors. Once or twice the vampire spotted arched openings in the wall that offered her peeks into abandoned chambers. Thick cobwebs barred her entrance while strange rustling could be heard from within the dark rooms.
Climbing a dilapidated staircase to the sounds of fighting, Vayne ascended to what looked like the upper levels of the dungeon. The corridors were wider here and torches hung from the walls more frequently, casting their light over big clusters of rubble. Vayne could, with some difficulty make out recognizable forms in the pile. A horned head, a clawed hand, a broken helmet, an ornate shield with an unfamiliar coat of arms on it, a straight line that could have once been a spear. The rocks seemed to be part of olden statues that had collapsed. Rounding the corner at the crying behests of the woman's voice Shauna stumbled upon a most disturbing scene.
A small party of armor-clad people dressed as knights were trying to fend off a pack of rats the size of horses. The beasts screeched and snarled as they attempted to maim their human opponents, four of the enormous rodents were already lying dead on the floor in pools of black blood. The men were hacking at the beasts with their greatswords, shouting curses as they attempted to reach the fifth member of their group in time to save her life.
The young blonde woman that had been separated from the knights was crawling backwards on the floor, calling for help hysterically while using her gilded staff to keep the snapping jaws of a hungry rodent away from her face. More and more furry bodies skittered into the room from a dark hole in the wall.
Vayne stood still at the back of the room. The sight of the giant rats had rooted her in place, her dull sword was pointing downwards, its missing tip scrapping against the filthy cobblestone. The god has said that she would be send into a fantasy world, he had taken steps to ensure her survival, yet nothing could have prepared her for an encounter with these ravenous beasts. Superior race or not there was no way that Vayne was approaching those screeching monsters. She had to run, she had to take advantage of the commotion to return back to the lower levers of the dungeon, yet her legs were unresponsive.
The company of knights roared in fury, the onslaught of beasts driving them out of the room. The blonde woman called at her companions for help, tears running down her face springing from her sky blue eyes. Her gaze spotted Vayne for a moment, the knight's eyes widened, her hand shot out as if to grasp her sleeve, find some sort of reassurance.
The rodent's teeth sank into the female knight's shoulder, blood shot out from the wound its scent both disgusting and tantalizing. Shauna felt her fangs extending inside her mouth.
The sounds of fighting were too distant now, the knights had been forced to flee due to the numbers of the giant rats, abandoning their comrade behind. The blonde woman cried out when the enormous rodent run its rough tongue across her injured flesh, mad with starvation, mad for human blood.
The vampire looked at the red liquid emotionlessly. Shauna's brain shut down, the battered sword fell from her hand, the world was submerged under a calm scarlet sea. Shauna slept beneath the rippling maroon water.

Vayne realized that her body was moving. Her eyes were open, however she couldn't see a thing. There was this wet slurping sound, so disturbing and eerie. Her fingers were digging into something, holding it in place, although simultaneously she couldn't feel a thing. She wasn't even sure if she was still inside her body.
Her tongue darted out, gliding across smooth fresh and hard metal. She licked her lips and moaned in pleasure. Something whimpered and her hands tightened their hold to silence it. The whimpering only grew louder. The scent of fear and salt grew stronger.
Shauna blinked. She saw mangled, furry bodies splayed across the cobblestone, tens of snapped clawed limbs torn apart and unmoving. She examined in befuddlement what looked like an ocean of pungent black blood splashed across the walls, staining the floor and even the low-hanging ceiling.
Vayne frowned, slowly recalling her untimely death and her arrival to this new world, the monsters, the knights, the dying blonde woman. Her inhuman slit pupils disregarded her bloodstained hands to meet the owner of the armor she had been clutching in her hunger-induced trance.
Scared sky blue orbs met her hellish rubies, the female knight was staring at her in sheer terror even as she bled out in her arms from the wound she had received from the dead rodent.
