Meanwhile in republic city:
After the explosion caused by the forming of a third portal, team avatar and the air benders approach the scene of Korra and Kuvira's battle in a desperate search to find their friend.
"Korra?" "Korraaaaa!"
Mako looks at Tenzin "there's no sign of her" he says with a hint of dispear as the solemness that fills they air gets even heavier.
"We have to keep looking" tenzin replyjng sternly yet it's evident that he's just. As worried about the avatar and losing confidence in finding her as everyone else is.
Korra:
She stepped out of the portal to see a scene which she'd never wished to have seen in her lifetime. A destroyed Republic city. She stood there is shock fearing she had failed at protecting the city and lost all her friends in the process.
It wasn't until she heard a distant voice. "Korra!" The voice was none other than her friend Asami's.
"Where is Kuvira!" A platoon of me a tanks surrounded then and demanded.
Korras freinds and family all looked at her also curious as to what came of the great uniter.
"She perished during the creation of the spirit portal" Korra lied.
Once hearing that a sort of sadness passed though the soldiers as they heard thier leader whom they once adored was gone. Surprisingly they just left. they didn't have anything to fight for anymore.
As soon as they were gone all attention went back to korra.
"HaHaaaaa Your okay!!" Bolin yips in excitement
He was running towards Korra about to give her a big hug. Once he was only a few steps away from her he noticed the distant expressions he wore on her face and the bundle she was holding in her arms.
"Whaaaaaaaaa" bolin drags on. Everyone else looks at bolin in a funny way. That is, until they also spot what Korra was holding in her arms.
Korra, being disrupted from her thoughts of the events she experienced earlier remembers she was about to get the infant help right before she was distracted by all the commotion. She looks at tenzin. Fear, confusion dispute and all sorts of emotions lay in her deep blue eyes as she doesn't know what to do.
Tension immediately springs into action running up to Korra and taking the bundle out of her arms and handing it to Lin who has surprising remained very quiet for a while.
Tenzim then gives korra a hug and all the others join in.
"the...the bb baby" Korra mutters still distraught over the days events.
"It's ok, it's ok" tension try's comforting her "let's head to the temple to get some rest."
Korra pushs out of the hug
"No"
" it's hurt, the baby it's hurt!" "It needs help"
Listening in Lin heard what korra said and looked down at the infant in her arms.
"...fuck"
No words said Lin rushs to her police car and rushes to the one person she knows can help
