"San, it's time to get up." A sweet voice whispers, as the bed slightly dips.

Santana slowly opens her eyes, flinching at the sunlight that's beaming in through the window. She takes in the site of the large room with bright pastels, yawning as she rubs the sleep away from her eyes.

She feels soft fingertips glide tenderly across her bare back, shivering at the touch before turning to face her girlfriend.

"Good morning sleepyhead." Jennifer coos while she tucks loose strands of hair behind the Latina's ear. She places a chaste kiss against Santana's lips and thinks about how amazing the last few weeks have been.

"I brought you some coffee. It's on the nightstand along with some french toast and a few orange slices." Jen makes a move to stand up but squeals as tan fingers suddenly pull her back onto the bed. Santana wraps her arms around her girlfriend mumbling a thank you into the crook of her neck.

"You're welcome, babe. Now get up so we can meet everyone downstairs. We have to make sure everything is ready to go for tomorrow." Jen places a quick kiss to the brunette's forehead before removing herself from the embrace and making her way out of the bedroom.

Sitting up on the bed, the Latina reaches for the warm mug and her cellphone. She sips on the steamy liquid as she scrolls through a few random text messages until one catches her attention.

New Message from Britt-Britt: I guess we'll see you in the morning. Goodnight San

Her heart aches a little as she re-reads the message.

Truth is, ever since her and Jennifer became an official item, she hasn't spent many nights at home. At first it was as innocent as her falling asleep in Jen's bed after a movie night or a long day of volunteer work. Then she started to feel like staying away from the blondes would be best, since there was some tension in the air that no one cared to explain.

Her and Brittany still talk on a daily basis. The blonde has been genuinely nice with regard to her and Jenny's relationship, even offering a congratulations to the couple once everyone started to clear out of the coffee shop.

Quinn was an entirely different story. Santana would only catch glimpses of her at the sorority's weekly meetings or mandatory functions. Santana thought that maybe, just maybe Quinn was actually upset at the thought of Jennifer becoming her girlfriend. That couldn't be true though, because Quinn was the main reason that the Latina even said Yes in the first place.

Flash Back

"Santana…Will you be my girlfriend?"

Oh my god, this isn't a dream. She's looking at me and I have to give her a response. What was she thinking? This is too much. All these people all up in our business and I have to just blurt out what everyone wants to hear? I mean this was sweet too, no one has ever done something this over the top for me. I could fall for her, right? I mean look at her, she's beautiful as well as intelligent, and I love hanging out with her. It would be like it is now, but better because we get to throw in lots and lots of sexy sleepovers. But what about-

Santana looks up to see Quinn talking to one of the guys who moments ago helped Jen off of the countertop.

Realization hits the Latina like a ton of bricks as she watches president Krappa Omega wrap his arms around the blonde's waist, before leaning down to kiss her lips.

"San?" Jennifer's pleading tone catches her attention and without so much as a second breath she answers the worried girl in front of her.

"Yes." She whispers with a half-smile and watery eyes. " I'm all yours, Jen."

Present Day...

"Alright ladies, thanks for all of your hard work. Tomorrow's Spooktacular Charity Ball should be a huge success. Please make sure to be dressed and at the venue by eight o'clock sharp."

A few women start to trickle out, some electing to chat for a bit and others making themselves at home in the kitchen.

Santana remains glued to her spot next to Brittany, as her blue-eyed best friend excitedly talks about which costumes would be awesome for tomorrow.

"Hey sweetheart, what cha talkin' about?" Jennifer asks as she plops down onto her girlfriend's lap.

On instinct, the Latina glances at Brittany before replying, wanting to make sure that there is no awkwardness at Jen's PDA.

"B. was just telling me how she wants to check out the costume shop on 42nd."

"Hey guys, Tara and I are heading out to pick up our outfits. Jen did you want to come?" Ally offers as she drapes her purse over her shoulder.

"Actually, why don't we all go together? San and I still haven't agreed on any costumes and Brittany is still looking as well."

"No, it's cool Jen. I don't want to impose. I can just go check out some costumes on my own."

"Aw come on Britt, I'd love for you to join us. Plus, what happens if you need an opinion?" Tara chimes in, trying her best not to sound desperate.

"Then she would actually ask me, Tara." Santana replies for her friend. "I'm sure that my opinion would be more than enough for Britt-Britt to make a great decision. We are BEST friends after all." She finishes with a fake grin.

"Babe.." Jennifer scolds the Latina

"San, you know I value your opinion, but it would be nice to have a few different perspectives." Brittany smiles at Tara before turning her attention back to Santana and Jen. "You guys ready?"

"Yup, just let me go grab my bag upstairs. Be right back babe." Jennifer shoots up, offering Brittany a thank you nod for diffusing the situation. She knows how protective Santana can be over her friends, but she really wants everyone to just get along and see the Santana that she's falling in love with.

As the girls make their way out of the house Brittany gently nudges the Latina's shoulder.

"Play nice, Sanny."

"I'm just trying to look out for you B."

"I love that you want to look out for me, but I can take care of myself. You know that no matter what, you can never be replaced." She links her pinky through a tan one, before heading to Tara's car.

"Wow! Quinn, you look great and I'm not just saying that because you are the sexiest Jane I have ever seen." Liam casually walks into the apartment, eyes trailing over his girlfriend's costume in appreciation.

"Really, because I can pretty much count the times you've look at my face since I opened the door." The smirk on the blonde's face lets him know that she isn't one bit upset at his leering.

"Yea well, I've seen your wandering eyes glance at my loincloth a few times as well." He states as he leans down to give Quinn a proper hello kiss. "Just saying."

"Trust me, there is nothing under that fabric I haven't already seen, but you do make a handsome Tarzan."

"So, you ready to go Lucy Q? I promised Jen we would get there early so that she could properly introduce me to Santana." Quinn can't help how her body tenses at the mention of her name.

"Liam, you've seen Santana a dozen times. I'm pretty sure she knows who you are." She gently pulls away and begins to gather her things.

"True, but Jenny hasn't told her that I'm her brother. She does this every time she meets someone new and I can't say I blame her. Mom and dad are so focused on status that we usually wait at least six months before introducing our partners to anyone in the family."

She turns around as she feels Liam's presence right behind her but avoids making eye contact.

"Well when that time comes Santana will do great, parents love her. She just has this confidence about her and can pretty much charm the pants off of anyone. " A soft smile graces her lips at the memory of when Santana first met her parents. "Then there's that freakin' smile. That thing could help her get away with murder, especially that dimple on her left cheek that really shows when she's genuinely happy or excited."

The silence following her statement causes her to look up at Liam.

"Uh huh…it seems like you have firsthand experience of Santana's charming ways."

She mentally scolds herself, knowing that the tone in his voice can only mean he's now a bit jealous.

"I'll make sure to keep an eye out for the dimple Quinn, you ready to go?"

"Tara, you really didn't have to do this. I mean it's really sweet of you, but you could've stuck with your original costume."

"Yea I know Britt, but playboy bunnies are so overrated. Plus now I don't have to think of a lame excuse to be around you."

Brittany can't help the blush that creeps onto her cheeks. She loves how Tara always makes it a point to say sweet things and make her feel special.

"Would it be super creepy if I said how incredibly beautiful my ice princess "sister" looks tonight?" The red head questions, seeing the affect her previous comment had.

"Listen Tara, I ah…"

"Shit, it was creepy right? I'm sorry Britt. I just wanted to tell you how great you looked and I probably should've just kept my mouth shut, but I just thought it was ok, because we're kinda like here together. Not as a couple, but as a pair and don't get me wrong, I don't mind the costume because this frozen chick and I have the same gingerific hair and I know how much you love this movie, so I just wanted to complime-"

The blonde gently presses her index finger to the rambling girl's lips, shushing her momentarily.

"Thanks for the compliment." Brittany states as she offers Tara a warm smile.

"We're friends ok; this doesn't have to be weird. I think you're great Tara, I really do and there's no one else I'd rather be coupled up with tonight."

"Except for Santana, right?"

The vulnerability in Tara's statement catches Brittany off guard. She slightly shakes her head while taking hold of the red heads hand, urging her to make eye contact.

"You know…between us, there's no way San could pull off Anna like you have. You and I look better together; it's kinda scary how we're sort of a perfect match."

With a wink and a nod Brittany tugs Tara onto the dance floor, trying to ignore the flutter in her stomach from her own confession.

"San baby, please tuck that lip in, you look gorgeous."

"It's just not right, how come you get to be the devil?" Santana whines "Not only does red suit me the best, but it's also my favorite color. And come on, everyone knows that you're the sweetest, most innocent girl who ever existed."

"Yes you look amazingly sexy in red, but you look absolutely stunning in white too. Plus, there's something about you looking so pure and angelic that has me going crazy." Jen bites her lip to accentuate her point as she continues to dance with her girlfriend.

"Oh yea? Well why didn't you say so to begin with? I can do undercover naughty for you all night long."

"Uh huh and if you're a good girl, I can show you how much of a she-devil I can really be. Trust me, I wanted this costume for a reason." Jen whispers into her girlfriend's ear, causing goose bumps to rise all over Santana's exposed skin.

They continue to sway, Santana tightening her grip around Jennifer as she guides them to a more private area.

"Mmm, how much longer do we have to stay here Miss President?"

"Hey Jenny, I've been looking everywhere for you." Liam interrupts, causing both women to loosen their hold.

"I'm here early, just like you requested." He places a kiss to Jennifer's cheek in greeting, causing Santana to grimace.

"Great timing as usual Liam." Jen feigns annoyance, before taking site of his companion.

"Quinn, hi. You look amazing."

The blonde is at a loss for words. It's been weeks since she has properly laid eyes on Santana. They've done a bang up job of avoiding each other like the plague.

She takes note of how Santana's caramel skin glows as the clean white fabric hugs the brunette's body in all the right places. Her brown eyes sparkle almost as bright as the crystal halo adorned at the top of her head. The Latina stands a bit taller than Quinn, the white stilettos she's wearing propell her lean legs up a few inches.

The feeling seems to be mutual because Santana's eyes have not stopped raking over Quinn either.

"Thank you, Jennifer. You both look good as well."

"Awesome. So yea, you guys have a great time tonight. " Santana tugs at Jen's hand as she tries to put as much distance between her and the blonde beauty.

"Wait babe, I ah- I wanted to formally introduce you to someone."

"Jen, I already know Ken and Barbie. Cutest couple ever. Can we go?"

"Baby, please…look you remember I told you about my parents and how my brother and I don't even bother introducing our partners to the family for like the first six months?"

"Yea, I remember; What, are your parents here?!" Santana starts to feel her nerves creep up at the thought. "A little fore warning goes a long way for Christ's sake."

"No babe, they're not here, but I would like you to meet my brother." Jen blurts out as she gestures at a smiling Liam.

To say that Santana is shocked is an understatement.

There is no way President tool bag is Jen's brother. This has to be a cruel joke. The man who my girlfriend idolizes is Quinn's boyfriend? Where the fuck is the liquor? I need a drink asap. Fuckin Q man, I'm sure she knew too. What, are me and him supposed to be bff's now?

"Liam Grayson, nice to meet you, Santana." He extends his hand out to the Latina, whom accepts the handshake after a pleading glance from Jennifer.

"Are you mad babe?"

"Uh.." Santana looks to her girlfriend. She can see a bit of fear and hesitation. She can understand why she didn't tell her sooner, but damn. Did he have to be Quinn's boyfriend too?

"No, I'm not mad. Um, just a little shocked is all."

"Babe, why don't we give them a minute to talk?" Quinn tries to subtly tell Liam, only the Latina hears her.

"Jenny, Liam…sorry to interrupt, but the rep from the Safe and Sound Network is here and she's asking to speak with you guys."

"Oh, ok…Thanks Ally, we'll be right over. " Jen replies, as she turns to give her girlfriend a peck on the lips. "I'll be back in a few."

Liam does the same before he begins to follow Allison across the room.

The roommates look to each other. They wait to see which one of them would be willing to make the first move.

Quinn's eyes stare into stoic ones. She knows that Santana is trying her best not to blow. She can see the silent battle being fought in the Latina's stubborn head, so she decides that walking away is probably for the best at this point.

"So that's what we're doing now, huh?"

Here we go. The blonde thinks to herself as she turns to face the brunette once again.

"What are you talking about Santana?"

"Oh, don't play dumb with me Fabray, I'm not in the mood for one of your little mind games right now."

"Trust me, I have better things to do than waste my time on the likes of you."

"Agh, you cut me so deep with that one. Won't you please give me more?"

"They're siblings Santana! Get over it. He's a great guy and he adores your girlfriend. You should be thrilled that she even introduced you."

"Oh I'm over the moon Q, trust me. What I don't understand is how you didn't even have the courtesy to tell me, but I guess keeping secrets is your specialty, you've always been exceptional in that department."

"Is that what this is really about? Are you honestly upset because I didn't tell you that Liam is Jennifer's brother? You haven't talked to me in weeks Santana, weeks! You're never home and when you are it's only to pick up clothes and head back to Princess Jennifer's castle."

"Don't do that." Santana calmly states, as she shakes her head in disapproval.

"Don't do what?"

"Don't talk about Jen like that. I know you're upset, but it's at me, not her."

Quinn laughs at the comment. She looks at Santana's face to make sure she was being serious and laughs even harder at the scowl firmly placed on the brunette's lips.

"What the hell is so funny?"

Quinn literally covers her mouth and doubles over in laughter, as the Latina folds her arms across her chest. The anger Santana felt merely moments ago triples, as the blonde tries to get ahold of herself.

"I'm sorry, it's just-" She chuckles a few more times.

"It's just funny to me how you can take sides with a girl you've only known for a season, over one you've known for years." Quinn pauses to look up at her roommate. "but I guess years don't really matter, since she's the one putting out, right Tana."

"Q…"

"Save it San. It really doesn't matter. "

"You know it's not like that, Quinn. I've changed...you said so yourself the night we-"

"You're right, you have changed. So I fully expect that you will make your girlfriend happy and get along with her brother, because that's what really matters at this point. The fact that I kept a secret or the fact that you-…that you chose Jennifer shouldn't matter. Not anymore."

"I don't want it to be like that Q. I- I don't want you to hate me." Santana moves closer to Quinn, wanting nothing more than to wrap her arms around the blonde, but she knows she can't.

"I miss you Quinn...I miss being around you and talking to you. I miss our midnight snacks and mid-day lunches."

Quinn looks up at the Latina with a smile beginning to tug at her lips and misty eyes from the words she's hearing.

"I miss your smile Lucy Q, God I miss your smile…" Santana whispers now face to face with Quinn, barely there inches separating their bodies.

"Show me." Quinn finally breaths out. "Show me how much you miss me Tana."

Santana licks her lips as she places a hand on the blonde's hip. She's been dreaming of this very moment for months and it's finally happening.

"May I cut in?" A deep voice rips right through their perfect bubble.

Liam doesn't wait for Quinn's response before sweeping her away towards the center of the dance floor.

The last thing Santana sees before leaving the area is Liam stealing the kiss that should have been hers. She's not sure where her girlfriend is but is relieved that she won't have to explain a lapse of judgment.

Blue eyes in the corner remain hidden from site. Brittany's mind is racing from the conversation she just overheard and what she almost saw.
