OH MY! I hope it didn't seem forever. There has been a lot going on, and so much to do with such limited of time.

Enjoy Amigos like I'm enjoying these Coronas (The beer!) on this midsummer's night!

Chapter Twenty Seven: How much? But I don't think a price like that is worth the heartache….

Xellos seemed rather taken aback by Proserpina's question, and instead of answering her, he just chuckles softly as he cups his chin into his hand. He seemed stuck in a chain of thought as he hummed to himself, staring at her with those closed eyes.

"I haven't really decided…" That was all he said as he continues to ogle at her as she smoldered like the end of rolled cigarette flared as her temper grew behind her glare. The corner of his lips curled upwards as he snickered more to himself.

"What's so funny?" Proserpina hissed as his laughter grew more into it was almost an outburst of a fit. He regains his posture, smoothing his face with his white clad fingers as he licked his lips before responding.

"Oh just really nothing." He waved his wrist dismissing whatever delighted him at the time. "It just tickles me of how you are already on to me, yet you barely know of me and what I am capable of." The pearly woman shrugged as she made a sour expression. "It's not hard to tell with all that nasty energy around you…"

Xellos arched an eyebrow. "Is that so?" He seemed rather intrigued by that statement. "Perhaps you need to elaborate on how that works? I'm not quite familiar with the process, per say."

She stares at him more as she took another drag. "And you called me demanding earlier?" She asks as she exhales smoke while he grin waiting for her explanation. From what I can recall, from the last time we encountered him from the woods; she told us at one point that she knew something was up with him by the energy that surrounded him, meaning she must have some kind of ability that allows her to do so. Now I can't even pull that off, and not everyone that I know of has it as well. I think we all were now looking at Proserpina by now, who had cast her gaze downwards as she took a slow drag.

"I feel like I've said this before, but I can see auras…" As she stated again her brow twitched. "It's something that runs in the family in case you are curious of how why I can even do so." I'm taking a stabbed that it's something from the mother's side since their mom was all about magic and all, I wouldn't be surprised if some families over time developed certain traits that make then stick out eventually. At least from where she is from it seems to be so in this case. In my opinion thats pretty darn nifty to have actually!

"I'd never know you could do that…" Xellos muttered as he leaned closer to her. "You should tell me more about that? How are you able to tell the difference when even a normal person, like Lina herself-" HEY! I'd watch it if I were you! "Hadn't had the slightest clue that I was a high ranking Mazoku until that was revealed later on." OH! I had an inclination that you where something though, and not just a pain in the ass! Zelgadis glance at him with his nostrils flaring up as the corner of his mouth twitched.

"I'm pretty sure if one of us had that similar ability that we wouldn't have fallen for half of your tricks…"

I mean he's is called a trickster priest for obviously reasons, Zel. He must've sensed me looking at him as he shifted his gaze to me. There was a slight resentment locked in the depths of his orbs as he spun his attention back to Xellos. I would get that he isn't really fond of the guy in the first place; I mean if I had someone chose to transform me into something I didn't want to be, and someone else promise a way to be normal again bit lied in the process I'd would have some type of grudge against that person, human or not.

"I personally think you're wasting time…" His forehead lifted as he grasps the handle of his tanker, lifting the mug as he brought it to his lips. "If what she claims is true, then Proserpina is already on to you, probably even so from your first meeting with her." He stated after swallowing his ale. "I wouldn't boldly assumed that you have an upper hand with this; you may have a higher chance if you pester some else instead-"Oh Zel! You spoke too soon. The moment that was uttered, within seconds Xellos vanished from his chair, and to the one on the blue chimera's left.

"Hold on! Don't get too ahead of yourself…" His dark eyes narrowed as the priest gotten comfortable as he lent over staring to him. "Don't get any ideas….and don't think I'll be more than willing to tell you anything at that!" All Xellos did was sighed as he glance over to Gourry.

"Why are you looking at me?" He quipped while blinking stupidly at the priest. "Remember I'm the jelly bean brain here! So I wouldn't really know anything and if I did-"He went slightly cross-eyed as he pointed to his head. "It's nowhere in here at all! Complete a blank space!" With that, Proserpina burst out in a laughter that ended up snagging the rest of us along with her. There was something about the way it sounded and how timely it was that heighten the humility of Gourry' statement. At least you admit that you're dense, and I kinda admired you for that! Not many got the gull to do so, but his confident does make up for the lack of smarts.

"OH dude!" Proserpina cooed as she huffed in between giggles. "When you retired from this, you should consider being a comedian." Oh no! Please don't get him any ideas! I can't imagine someone of his level of intelligence be any good at coking up with any type of materiel that people would consider funny.

"I mean think of it." She continued as she pressed out the remaining of the strange cigarette. "You do fit the dumb blonde stereotype; you fit right in! People would love it. Just say the dumbest things: I wanna bet that you would have a career in no time if you gave it a go!" I see what you did there! Come to think of it, he's rather naturally align with that alone. It's a little too scary if you ask me!

"You really think I'm funny?"

"At times…Though that may be a manner of opinion." She looked at me briefly as if she read my thoughts. "That something that needs to be learned about before coming to an understanding of how that type of art works."

"Ah." Gourry rubbed his chin while he tried his best to absorb her advice. "I still don't get it, but I guess I'll find out." Yeah go figure! I doubt even if the answer was boldly standing right in front of you and you still wouldn't even catch on to the slightest clue. Someone could literally slap you in that face with the answer, and you would also not get that right. You're even too dumb to cheat…

Xellos sighed to himself as he vanished from the blonde's side and back into his original seating. The look of disappointment bore on his face as folded his hands together. He hummed to himself as the rest of us quietly watched him, waiting for his next move.

"Well then…" He muttered as he flicked a speck of lint off his cloak. "I suppose I have no other choice then…"

"I don't like the way that sounds." Proserpina glances at him in a threatening way as Xellos develops a sweat with a passive grin as he held up his hands. "It's not like I have much of a choice, do I? The pressure of responsibility is quite profound that she insists that I take every measurement y to obtain what we need to know."

"What is so interesting that got you dogging me?" She arched her eyebrow as fetched a bottle from the corner. "I feel like you know enough-"

"Well that's the point-"He cut her off, resulting her face to slightly twitch as she twist a screw though the cork. "-We don't know the whole story of why you just suddenly appeared one day…." There was a pause as he searches carefully for the next words to forms. "There is also another rumor pertaining to you being a cause of the second pillar to show. Now usually that is connected to serious energy, generally that of other worldly interaction with ours. Could it be that you are from one of the over worlds?" A POP emitted as it was released from the wine bottle, and in an odd heavy silence lingered as she carefully pour her a glass.

"Mmm." She didn't appear to be bothered at first when he brought that up. "And how did you hear that one?" She had a point there; I rubbed my chin as I took part in this conversation.

"Yeah Xellos." I chimed in as he jumped at the sound of my voice. "How did you manage to hear that one?" I may have a clue to how he already knows more than what is leading on. Generally that means, and he is always doing this to some degree before he makes his presence know, is that he is known to follow in the shadows; unseen as he watches and listen. Something tells me that our favorite priest has been tracking us this whole time! Well at least until his over was blown when Proserpina first sniffed him our back in the forest.

"You were following us!" Gourry exclaim as he stood suddenly from his chair, but this it was Zel's turn to jump from shock as he looked at the blond snarling.

"It wouldn't surprise me if he was." He hissed as he settled himself back into his relaxed posture. "It's not the first time he has done so, and probably most likely won't be the last." Xellos bowed his head. I doubt there was any way of denying this! "Oh darn." He feigns embarrassment from having us single out his doing in the first place. "I was hoping you all wouldn't say it like such! Again I was merely observing, and I just wanted to confirm if what I heard was true." His head snapped back to the pearly woman. "Now, if you could be so kind and finally give me an answer from my following question; are you really from a different world?"

"I'm from an island." As she has said before, and with that Xellos nodded as he followed along. "Yes, and you had mention that prior to our first encounter, but yet the island you claim to be from, does it happen to be located within a world vastly different from ours?" He held his hands tightly as he waited for her to respond. "So what if it was?"

His lips quirked with delight as he opened his mouth. "Then it would be even more of a reason for me to stick around!" Proserpina's eyes filled with dread as she took a gulp from her glass.

"What it I say it's not true?"

"Then I would assume that is a lie and continue being here regardless of your choice of answer."

"FUCK!" She mouthed as she drank more from her glass, gulping it down as more of the burgundy substance vanished before slamming the chalice down. "Alright! You win since there is really no way out of this. Besides," She went for the bottle again, pouring more until it stopped close to the brim. "Forest always says that lying gets you nowhere anyways. True that!" She toasted as she brought it to her lips, sipping away at her newly replenished wine.

"So I can assume 'Forest' is an associated, friend, or family member of yours back home?" She slowly gave him a nod. "Interesting… So what can you tell me about your world then?"

"Well," She began as she swirl her wine. "That's for me to know, and for you to find out I guess." Oh ho Xellos! Looks like you aren't the coy one that's around. I felt like that was her way of saying "That's a secret", and I wasn't the only one who happen to thought of that as Zelgadis let out a short chuckle, which is rather rare to see him laugh.

"Looks like you may be better off watching in the distance, as usual." He added but the trickster persisted as he studied Proserpina moments as she shuffled within one of her pant pockets. She carefully removes a small case that oddly colored and transparent; which contains more of those rolled cigarette looking things.

"I dunno…" She commented as she rapped the hard container onto the table's surface. "Maybe he's getting tired of being a stalker."

"You could say that." He went on as Proserpina took liberty to another one as she snapped that case shut. "Eventually I would have to make myself known at some point. Well, why not now and get it all over with." Hell, at least he proudly own up to it. Yet it brings me wonder of how long exactly Xellos has been following us. It's got to be from the moment she had arrived, because why else would he automatically pin point her with the strange pillar? I mean, I had that feeling as well, but I didn't directly state so right here in her face like that.

"What's home like?" His head tilted as she sat quiet again. She flicked her fire making device, and lit the tip of another cigarette. She sat there in silence as she exhales the smoke from her first hit as the cloud circle around Xellos.

"Not so great now." He was shocked she even gave him a response. "And it could be getting worst as we speak." Bonus was she said more, Xellos peered forward as he lean in to hear if she would say more. "For all I know everyone could be dead by now…I sure hope not…" Her eyes bounced with emotions; which caused him to oddly seem pleased. She may had an unintentionally fed him without knowing, but I watched as he liked his lips rapidly. That sent chills up my spine seeing a mozoku feast freely even after they had eaten a meal in front of us! I have to admit that sorta ticked me off; who was he fooling? He doesn't need to eat like we do to substance himself. I'll say this till I'm blue in the face, but the mozoku feed off the negative emotions that human (and other life forms that are sentient at that) as nourishment. It was a waste of food in my opinion; less that went into my belly that is. I heaved a heavy sign as I recalled him picking delicately at his meal as he most likely to pertain to enjoy every tasty morsel that he probably lacks the taste buds to experience that flavor!

"Are you trying to relocate here?" That she didn't answer to as she flat out ignored him, finishing her wine in a few gulps as she sat her glass down before standing. She nodded at us before turning to Xellos. "Sorry but conversation is over. I'm hitting the sack." And went that she exit swiftly; her footfalls echo softly as she padded her way upstairs.

"Darn. You've scared her away." Zel teased as he narrowed his gaze at Xellos who remained unspoken and still for the remained time until I felt it was enough to drive me to a craze. You know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea; maybe I should follow her and join Amelia as well…

"I think I'm there right behind with her…." I stood to my feet as I too began my way to the girls' room for the evening, after I gave Gourry a rough hug along with rubbing my knuckles on top of his jelly fish filled head. He howled after me as I waved at the other two and left them to their devices. I raced my way up the stairs, and into the room. As I enter I was greeted by the soft snores from Amelia, as she was fast asleep curled up under a blanket that looked like it may be hers. Baby was slumbering nearby had shifted in their sleep, turning over at the opposite end from the princess. The pearly woman sat at the desk, along with an odd lantern that provided a great amount of light. There as a stack of books next to her while she sat nose deep into what was a journal of some sort as she jolt down what I can guess was notes. I walked closer to her peering more into the strange, yet neatly written language. She fails to notice me at first, for her weird little things she calls heads phone where perched on top of her ears again! I went forward and tapped on her shoulder, causing her to nearly flinch hard enough to make her chair wobble.

"Whew, it's only you Lina." She sound rather relieved as she lower her head set. "At least it's you and not that one fucking guy that's always-"

"-Up your case?"

"Yeah, you can say that." She giggled sheepishly while a tempo continues from the tiny speakers. "I'm guessing he doesn't know a thing about personal space and boundaries?" I just gave her a shrug, because when it comes to Xellos, it is the least of my knowledge of what will come next out of that guy. The hell if I know when he decides he will pop up out of nowhere, other then I can say for sure that when he does show up; it's connected to something serious. Usually otherworlders, you know the folk that aren't from here, they tend to drawn unwanted attention (Intentionally or unintentionally) which tends to get them into just as much trouble. Let's use Proserpina's case here for an example; She shows up, causing a unnatural event that shakes everyone within radius all up, and next thing you know there are warrants for her capture with a increasing amount that keeps changing every time we pass though a town. Now Xellos is here, and insists on sticking around until he feels like he has his proper share in what he needs to know.

"Usually demons don't anyways." She added as she skims though the pages of one of her books. "It's just…he throws me off. His visage isn't as bad, and despite of his well humanoid appearance; it's his energy. It just throws me off because you expect something much scarier than that."

"I'm going to go with that the monster from the world you're from, are different from the ones here?" She nodded slightly. "They do have the same energy. I think all beings have a slight signature to them. Like Humans are normal but range from colors. Beings like Gods and Demons have contrasting auras; usually gods are golden like while demons have a void like shadow surrounding them." Interesting! I didn't realize that she could see the energies of humans as well; which makes me rather curious about something…

"What does mine look like?" I blurted as she took a moment to study me with a gentle expression. "Mmm." She tilted her head. "You have this soft rose color to yours." Ugh! Figures…Such a harsh reminder to my own title granted to me by the sorcerer's guild; Lina the Pink… I'm not entirely a huge fan of it, but I least I have one.

"Does that mean anything?"

"It has something to do with energies that you are connected to and use when you cast magic." I figured that, since I mostly wield dark magic (Which is red, by the way) and white magic spells such as the important one like Recovery for instant (which is white, this is so basic, you know!) and if you mix those; you get pink! I've already know that, but I now I'm wondering what the auras of the others look like, but before I got the chance at ask her, the voices of small talk between two men took place as the climbed up the stairs. I remained quite as I eavesdrop on the too, tuning my ears in the conversation.

"Do you think he's just going to stay downstairs all night?" Gourry' voice inquired sharply as the other scoffed.

"I wouldn't doubt he would." Respond a voice that can be Zel. "It's not like he needs sleep. He would still be down there by morning, waiting for her to leave the room."

"Yeah he's really hell bent on getting her to talk." The other released a deep sigh as a asset of keys jingle at the door across from ours. "Something tells me he's going to be around for a while."

"That'd you may be right about for once, Gourry." The locked clicked as the door creaked. There was a shuffle as the two entered the room.

"Do you think Lina would have sold Proserpina out like that, Zel?" I leaned over a bit, but before an answer was said, the other slammed it shut. This left me wondering what was said between the two as they got ready for the night.

"That is a good question." I heard her voice muttered as I snapped my head back at Proserpina. She sat somewhat incline, as if she was waiting for me to answer. I shifted under my feet as I search for the right words that would convince her otherwise, though having that kind of money would have been really nice to have…

"Well," I begin as I grasped my hands together. "I know when you walk in at the moment I had ask about his price for information about you, it may had sounded like the wrong thing was going on," Somewhat honestly! What! A girl has to make a living and I wanted to see if it was worth my time. "But I was just playing along to see why he wanted to know so much about you…" I was really tempted on giving him you basic stuff and that you were some kind of fancy chimera. Would have been worth somewhat of that price now to think of it… Dammit! Now she is looking at me like that! Quick Lina, say something witty to kill this mood! "I learnt to play his game in order to get anything out of him." It's somewhat true, though there was no telling if Xellos was really intending to give me as much as I requested to be honest. I admit I was shocked when he sold me those blood talismans in the first place.

I still don't like the look she maintains as she arched her eyebrow in a fashion that would say "Don't try me". Despite of how convincing I thought my avowal sounded, there was this gut feeling that she wasn't buying it at all. Great! I could feel myself slightly shake, which is unusual, and in all honestly having Proserpina as a enemy is the last thing I want.

"I'm sorry!" That's really rare for me to say it, at least at this level. The last person I even apologies this was to my older sister… "Look! I come from a family of merchants; I can't help but to run a good haggle!" I didn't realize my voice rose as Amelia groan in her slumber, shifting under her blanket.

"Quiet down Lina…" I heard her mumble as she went back to her snoring. Baby cooed and I reverted back to Proserpina, whose expression had changed.

"I get it…" She said softly as she turned back around to her paperwork. "It's not like there is much at the moment," Her eyes peered at the notes she had in front of her. "Other then I'm trying to figure out the next location of the one I need of the list." By list, she meant the beast…As I recalled the images I first saw back on the boat; the first one, the Griffin whose egg we just discover. She just has to hatch it, and then we have a fully grown chimera like creature ready for battle? I shrugged the idea off, as much as I burning curious grew on the idea of what these beasts are like and if they even exist to the full expectations that I have. I think the next one was the wolf like one, which reminded me of the Zanaffar, except this is an actual creature and not some failed armor recreation experiment.

"What's its name again?" I wasn't sure, but unlike Gourry I normally have great memory with names, but this one didn't quite stick well. I know it stars with a b…

"Behemoth?" There is was! I knew it was on the tip of my tongue. I just couldn't say it well. The image of the dark wolf dragon like beast flashed as its yellow eyes eyed at me though my recollection. Yet if the first one is in what I would consider an infant stage, then does this mean this beast would be a baby as well? First thing is first, and let's not get ahead of ourselves here; finding him first will answer that, but first where is he located?

"Do you have any leads?" Maybe I was attempt to make up for seeming like I was tempting on double crossing her - would it really? I've only known her for months so it seems, but would it be consider backstabbing if I did play into Xellos bidding?- at least show her I have the best intentions towards her mission. She cautiously peered at me, more so behind as I glance and saw nothing. Although it felt as if someone was leaning in on the door. At least for a moment that is; whoever it was disappear as quickly as they came. There was an additional moment as she waited with precaution before giving me an answer.

"It's located on some island." She rapped on a space that she had drawn rather well a strangely familiar shape that resemble a place south from here. I could only guess what it was…

"Wolf Pack Island." I said in a breath and she whence as she took a glance at the door again. The air hung heavy with silence, withstanding the snores.

"You know of that place?" I nodded and she gave a half hearted smirked. "Seriously? Come on Lina; spill the beans! Or am I going to have to pay you to tell me? She snickered and I rolled my eyes, fighting the grin forming on my face as I did my earnest to keep it straight.

"I can start you a tab…" I waved a finger while she crossed her arms. "I know you're probably stripped on gold at the moment, and I'm pretty sure the currency you had at home does no good here." Proserpina gave a side-glance to a corner, pursing her lips together as she gave a shrug.

"Yeah I don't think paper money is a thing here…" she noted as she grabbed some kind of folded leather device looked from the desk. It had a checker board print with a long chain that dangled off the end which swings about as she open it, taking out rectangle slips of brightly colored paper. I'm taking a stab at that is what they used back home."Oh yeah. It's very much different. You may be about to start a decent campfire with that. "She softly giggled because I apparently said that out loud without realizing.

"I figured at some point I'll have to require a job, maybe you can refer me once we need to cross that bridge?"

"I'm pretty sure I can manage something, but I make no promises."

"At least you're sincere." Thanks! I'm really flattered by that. At least you're one of the few people who haven't put me down in any way, or call out my small bust and short height. You even gave me a nickname when we used that strange radio device. Now what was it again?Dollie! That's right. Say? Weren't you gonna tell me about it at some point…Well I guess you may have forgotten! Here I go to recall that memory to distract you from rising more suspicious about me…

"So, I was wondering something?" She raised an eye brow. "The nickname you gave me back on the ship; you said it was yours?" She bobbed her head. "So what's up with it? Why did you resort to reissuing it to me?" I felt a part of my face twitch as I wait for the answer. Probably something demented and twisted, or I need to stop excepting the worst.

"I was small like you when I was younger," I could feel parts of my faced flushed with a burning that gathered in my cheeks. "I was a late bloomer as a teenager, and the kids would pick on me for it. They used to call me Sticks," I raised my eyebrows in questioning as she noticed. "Oh yeah. I was big time skinny, but the name calling got worst so one day my dad started to call me Dollie. When I asked him why he chose that name; he said that they were just made because they weren't as cute as I was, and that they were jealous. To him, I was his little doll… Why are you turning red Lina?" There's no way that someone like you with such a ample bust and a womanly figure could have even been as small as me…There is no way in hell you were exactly like how I am when you were younger! Hold on! Just how old are you?

I blurted that out before I had the chance to realize that I had asked her that. A tinged of pink hinted in face as she glance about. Apparently she has Gourry by a couple of years, making her now the oldest person (Withstanding Prince Phil at that) that currently traveling with us. It hard to believe with someone so ageless is way older than me. What maybe by ten years….She must be closer to my sister age at that! I would never guess that she would be almost thirty…

"Not bad at all for someone your age." I commented and she thanks me. At least she doesn't poke at me, getting me all railed up for no reason. "I would have still passed you as someone in their mid twenties, and not think that you were ten years ahead of me."

"Thanks again," She flashed a smile before that fades into a more professional stare, "but let's get back on subject about the island. Since you claim you know about it and then what can you tell me then, Lina?" I cocked my head and grab myself a seat. I felt like this may be a long night with this kind of topic.

I know the island is located south of the peninsula, not far off the Coastal Alliances coastal kingdoms, which rests in the Demon Sea. Getting there wouldn't be the problem at all. It just what lies and there and who resides there is the bigger pain.

"Its home to Xellos master." I pointed to the center of the map I wholesomely tired to sketch out myself. Not bad, for something a younger kid could probably draw himself if you ask. I never had the knack to art like this; my patience and passions where behind learning as much magic as I could. With the strange ink device Proserpina had, I marked an X with a circle. "Her name is Beast Master Zellas Metallium, and she is one of our demons lords-"

"Damn! How many of these demon lord bitches do you have in here?" She interrupted as she huffed in sheer aggravation.

I had to do a recall count…That was at least four if you still think Dynast is still thriving, despite of being permanently encase in a failed attempt to recreate this worlds' more infamous armor… Lei Magus isn't entirely a threat unless you approach him, and the other two are the only with free range and the willpower to strike their own bidding.

"This is going to be fun…" Proserpina lowly grumble as she hastily jolting down notes in a wired bind notebook.

"Do you think we should get a second opinion?" I yawned deeply before realizing that she was asking me something. I snapped back into the reality before me; I guess it wouldn't hurt, and I have the best person in mind.

"Yeah, sure." I yanked off my mantle and hung it to the rack beside the door before undressing for the night. "I know the right person to ask too." Another yawn took over as I stretch high. "For now, I think it's best if we sleep, all that running around that manor has taken its toll on my bones!"

"I wish I could say the same." She closes on tome, only to grab another skimming though it chapters until she got to the one she desired. "I still have to figure out what do with the Egg…"

"Oh. That thing." The image of that small golden egg flashed in my mind as I sink into the mattress when my bottom made contact with it. There was no way I will be able to stay awake and help out with this one. As I recline into the soft covers, I felt waves of relaxation take over and soon and was impossible to keep my eyes open. Proserpina slide back on her headphone as she listens to her music, writing quietly as the rest of us sleep.

I woke to a high pitch woman's scream; it had to be the dead of night, and gods awfully so close. Amelia was awake, I could hear her yell as my focus return back to me. The fuzzy images of her sitting straight up were the first to be clear.

"Mr. Xellos-!" Who stood in the center of the room as she scolded while crossing her arms. "-just what are doing here in the middle of the night?!-"

"Yeah you creep why where you just standing there watching me?" Proserpina shouted from the desk shielding her papers that she was still working on. Her headphones hung from her shoulders as she lean close to the top. She really appeared to be startled by this; I mean I would do.

"And most of all," I added, feeling even more groggy as I propped myself up on my elbow. "What are you doing here in the first place? This is the girl's room Xellos."

"Get…Out!" Baby pointed at the door as they tugged on the helm of the priest's robe. "Get...Out…NOW!"

"JUST WHAT'S GOING ON IN THERE?!" Boomed a heavy male's voice though our door as what sounded like a cranky Pokota. "WHY ARE YOU GUYS MAKING SOME MUCH NOISE THIS LATE?"

"Xellos is in here!" I shouted as wrapped my sheet over my head. I could hear another guy growl lowly as another pressed himself against the door.

"Are you alright, Lina?" Gourry inquired as Pokota grumbled at him. "What is he doing in there anyways?"

"Oh the usual." I peered at the priest as he yanked away his cloak from the little chimeras' grasp. "It's just the typical Xellos being Xellos. Appearing he decided to make a stop here in the room but Proserpina caught him-"

"-HE WAS JUST STANDING THERE STARING AT ME!"

"You got to be kidding me!" The younger prince bellowed as he stormed back in their room. I could hear a low rumble of another one of the guys telling him to quiet down. Which had to be Zel by the way he sounded as he fussed at the two for being so loud.

I slumped back into my blankets as the others continue to shout at Xellos, staring at the ceiling until he finally faded. I figured he would go after he apprehends that he wasn't going to get away with sneaking into our sleeping quarters like that. No Siree!I can barely share my space with Gourry, so I would barely have the patience to deal with Xellos at this time of the night. I don't know the hell he was thinking about, sneaking in like that. I'm more pissed at him and the audacity he has to even show himself at such an hour then I am at the one who screamed at him Amelia huffed as she fixed her covers, wrapping herself tightly as she nestled down.

"I can't believe Mr. Xellos thought it was okay to just show up in our room like that!" She pouted as the other shook her head replacing the headphones back on. "Has he forgotten his manners?" You know personally I think he never had them to begin with; he is a mazoku after all. They live above what we would consider that to be norm. There is times where Xellos knows his place and often where he does not care and with do whatever it takes to complete his task. That even includes if he does like it or not.

I don't think Xellos tried to come back at all for the rest of the night; so at least I wasn't awaken to a bit of screaming, but instead the glaring light of the sun that was casted though the curtain as it danced across our bed. It flashed in my eyes, and there it is. I blinked a few times, opening my eyes as the sight of daylight burnt the sleepiness out of them. Amelia was already up, and Baby was gone. The princess sat at the edge of the bed with a careful gaze at Proserpina, who had passed out still sitting in her chair. She had her arms cradling her head, and tall cans along with crumpets of paper balled about, scattered though out while she slumber without a sound.

I had stood to stretch by the time Amelia realize I was up; a bright grin greeted me as well as a cheery "Good Morning Miss. Lina!" before looking back at the pearly woman. "Do you think we should wake her?" I shook my head with a smirk. "I think its best if we leave her be; there is a lot to do when she wakes up." I prance towards a window, yanking it open as the warm, crisp air welcomed my face as the birds chirped loudly. Here's is to another day, as it begins so far on this peaceful note. There is no telling what's in sort, I could only wonder as I got ready along with the princess. After we were dress, the two of us left the room as we raced our way downstairs and into the dining area. Everyone; save for Proserpina, who is still sleeping at her desk, was already seated amongst each other at the table as Pokota chattered away.

"I can't believe he's still here."I could hear him complain s I sped awkwardly pass Xellos and yank the chair next the blond I've oddly grown to love.

"Oh -Hey Lina!" He said with a mouth full of egg mush before gulping it all down at once. Gross! "Morning! You didn't have any problems for the rest of the night with him? Did cha?" I shook my head as I plopped down before dragging his plate away along with a fork and started to dig in. What? I sensed the way Zelgadis, who sat with Baby across from us, was glaring at me as he chewed with his mouth shut. At least you have manners when you're at the table, but don't look at me like that! He takes a slip from his cup and peers at me from its rim. "Well, I see that you already up to your typical antics already. What a way to start the day?" Okay smartass! You and I know damn well that Gourry has already had his fair share in food, so I'm just trying to look out for myself in case breakfast gets eaten up before I have my share! Mind you that I said nothing to him, but instead I insisted on cramming whatever was left on his plate as the blond next to me begin to whine.

"Lina!" Gourry pined as I continue to scarf down the last bit of editable morsels. "Why are you doing this? That was mine you just ate-!"

"Shut Up!" I manage to shout after forcing myself to down a rather large bite. "You already had your share!-"

"That was my first plate I swear!-"

"Like I'm going to believe that-"

"They never changed, do you agree, Mister Zelgadis?" Amelia commented as she took a place to sit between him and Pokota. The younger prince greeted her with wide eyes, and a fainted rose building up in his cheeks while Zel quietly bobbed his head, agreeing to her statement.

"Some people just don't change, Amelia." I eyed him as Gourry struggle reclaim the plate from me. She tilts her head as she helps herself to a serving of croissants.

Authors' rant: Sorry for the delay guys, but I'm finally on vacation (That was long needed by the way) And I finally finished off this chapter, Omori, my manga collection of Parasyte (Better romance then twilight) and trying to binge watch the living heck out of Stranger Things… or I'm farting around on Discord (CerberusBark87 in case any of you are brave enough to talk LOL) I'm still on this story, but the dialoged scene always bored me senseless while writing.

It looks like I may have enough time to treat you all to another chapter if I don't get too distracted. In in the middle of finishing a season here!

AS always thank you for your views. You time is always appreciate

MUAH!
