Two days later,
At night in Washington, D.C., there was a huge building fire; a mother and son tried to get out of the house, but they were trapped inside. The ceiling above them began to collapse. The mother and son were prepared for the worst. But luckily, help arrives as Heatblast catches the falling ceiling from crushing the two.
Heatblast looked at the mother and son and said, "Don't worry, I'm here to help."
Heatblast tosses the debris aside and blasts a hole in the building, leading the mother and son outside to a crowd who were astonished to see Heatblast.
Heatblast thought, "Right I don't know why this watch turned me into Heatblast, but it would seem Heatblast absorbs the heat around the fire."
Then he sees Rust Bucket pull up curbside, and Gwen rolls down the window. She tells Heatblast He said, "Hey Heatblast, the fire was just a diversion to cover up a jewelry store robbery. The bad guys are getting away. "
"Got it," said Heatblast as he quickly got into the Rust Bucket, and it drove off from the building.
Max manages to catch up to the robbers, but he smells something burning and looks over to see Heatblast burning the passenger seat.
"I knew I should have bought those asbestos seat covers when I had the chance," said Max.
"Sorry, Mr. Tennyson," said Heatblast.
Gwen blasts Heatblast's butt with a fire extinguisher, "Why did you choose this guy when you have nine other aliens?"
"I didn't watch it."
As Max gets closer to the robber SUV, Heatblast leans out of the RV and fires a fireball at the robbers, causing the robbers to crash into a wall. Before the robber could recover, Heatblast got out of the Rustbucket and ripped the driver-side door open.
Heatblast told the robbers, "Unless you guys want to have major sunburns, get out of the vehicle with your hands against the wall."
The robbers did what Heatblast said and put their hands against the wall. Heatblast looks down to see the hourglass symbol flashing red and making noise. He then looks up to see a cop car coming around the corner.
"Remember major sunburns, stay on the wall," said Heatblast before fleeing.
Heatblast walked around the alleyway, and he turned back to Lincoln. He looked back to see the police beginning to arrest the robbers.
"Alright, save mom and son from the fire and stop the robbers from getting away. A good day for hero work. " Lincoln thought. Lincoln walks out of the alleyway and heads back to the Rustbucket.
The next day,
In Rustbucket, Lincoln was reading a superhero graphic novel in the area of the RV.
Gwen approaches Lincoln and asks, "What are you reading, Lincoln?"
Lincoln looks up from his novel and says, "Oh, I'm reading Spider-Man. Getting info. "
"From a comic book?"
"It's a graphic novel, and yeah, if I want to be a good hero, I have to learn from the greatest hero in comic history."
"Well, I think you should learn how to be a good hero from your actions and learn from them."
"Good point, but it doesn't hurt to look at other heroes."
"Hm, I do have another question."
"What's that?"
"Did you dye your hair white when you ran away?"
"No, it's my natural hair color."
"Really it is?"
"Yeah, I got it from my grandpa."
"So your grandpa had white hair as a kid?"
"Yes, What is so hard to believe? "
"I'm sorry, but that is strange, even if you had a watch that turns into different kinds of aliens."
Lincoln thinks about it for a moment and responds, "I could see why."
Lincoln and the Tennysons arrive at a large store called "Megamart." shopping for groceries and other stuff. They go to the canned food aisle, where Max grabs a can of octopus.
"Only octopus can and I thought this store prided itself on a wide selection," said Max.
"For once, Grandpa, no offense, but can we have a normal dinner that doesn't involve stir-frying tentacles? Right Lincoln, " said Gwen.
Lincoln shrugs. "She does have a point, Mr. Tennysons."
"Nonsense, you two. Where do you suppose they keep the sheep's bladders?" Max moved a cart to look for the sheep bladder.
"Whelp, we have to stomach another unique dinner."
"Great," said Gwen.
"But look on the bright side, at least we're not eating something like monkey brains."
"Don't mention that around him; he might think it's a good idea."
Lincoln and Gwen catch up with Max as they continue to shop around the store. They end up at the pet store section, where they hear an explosion. Then they see a man with pale green skin and white hair wearing an odd-looking helmet and vest, riding a large mutated frog. The man turns a knob on the vest and shoots the laser near the three, and they move out of the way. The laser hit the hamster cage and mutated the hamster into a vicious beast. Then he does the same to a patriot, making it large and deadly.
"Arise to your full potential, my pets!" the man yelled.
Lincoln thought, as he went to get his watch. "Okay, mad men turning animals into monsters is a job for a hero. "
Lincoln finds an alien form he likes. He presses down on the watch, transforming into a muscular humanoid tiger with one black claw on each hand and no tail. This alien is referred to as Rath by Lincoln.
"Let me tell you something weird: pale guys mutanting animals into monsters is not cool," said Rath.
Gwen groans. "Why did you pick that guy,"
"Because Rath can take on anyone, that's why."
The pale-skinned man was taken aback by Rath's appearance, but he stayed cool and controlled the situation.
"I don't know what you are, but you will not stop. Today, mark my words: today I will make history! Or should I say, prehistory. "
Rath jumps in the air and tries to get to Animo, but the mutated frog sticks out its tongue and hits Rath in the chest, knocking him out of the air and landing on a stack of pet food boxes. Rath quickly recovers and goes back on the attack. The mutated hamster comes at Rath, but Rath picks up the hamster and throws it onto a couple of shelves, trapping it. Animo gets off of the mutated frog and lets it go after Rath, and it tries to crush Rath, but he moves out of the way. Then Rath spears the frog in the gut and knocks the frog out with one punch.
Frustrated at his two animal pet defeats, Animo shouted, "Fools. You can't stop me! I will turn Washington, D.C. into Washington, B.C. "
Dr. Animo jumps on the back of the mutated parrot and flies into the skylight.
"Come back and fight Rath, you coward!" Rath shouted.
"Can you please stop talking like that," said Gwen.
"Like what?"
Making Gwen groan again.
"C'mon, let's get after Dr. Animo before he causes more trouble," said Max.
The three get into Rustbucket and try to follow Dr. Animo and Rath turns back to Lincoln.
"Men Rath is wild," said Lincoln.
"And it's annoying the way he talks like some stereotypical wrestler," said Gwen while on the laptop.
"That's why I like him."
Max kept trailing. Dr. Animo reminisced, "ah, just like the good old days before I retired."
"So exactly what kind of plumber were you, Grandpa?" said Gwen.
"You were a plumber, Mr. Tennyson?" asked Lincoln.
"Uh... a darn good one plumber," said Max.
"Weird," Lincoln thought.
Gwen came up with something. Bingo! Five years ago, Dr. Animo was a promising researcher in veterinary science. But it turned out he was doing all these twisted genetic experiments where he mutated animals, and when he didn't win some big prize called the Verities Award, he flipped out. "
"Wow, what a loser," said Lincoln.
Max notices the parrot turn left, and he follows him to a dead end, where he loses Dr. Animo."We lost him. He could be going away to Washington, D.C. "
"Or B.C., as he called it," said Lincoln.
"Wait a minute, I think I know where he is," said Gwen.
12 minutes later,
Lincoln and the Tennysons arrive at the natural history museum. They get out of the Rustbucket, and they see large feathers around the monument.
Lincoln picked up one of the feathers and said, "Well Gwen, you were right." He came here. "
"But why?" said Max.
"Only one way to find out," said Gwen as the three headed inside.
They go into the B.C. section of the museum, where they find the doctor next to a mastodon figure. He senses the three and looks behind him, "You three are very persistent." I hate persistent. "
"Give it up, Dr. Animo, your crazy experiments are over," said Lincoln.
"Oh bunny boy, but it's only just begun. See, I only need a few components to push my work into phase 2. Reanimation of dormant cells."
"What's with my hair today?" Lincoln thought
"Wait a minute, dormant cell? That means he's going to..." said Gwen, but gets cut off by Dr. Animo.
"That's right, breathing life back into that which has been long since a lifeless observer." The doctor uses his device to turn the once-dead mastodon back to life, ready to cause terror. "Behold the genius that is Dr. Animo." Then he runs off.
Lincoln looks at the watch to see it changing from red to teal. "You guys get Animo!" I'll handle Manny. "
Max and Gwen go after Dr. Animo while Lincoln uses his watch to transform into an alien form that's red, muscular, and has a four-arm. Ironically, Lincoln calls this alien "Four-arm."
"Let's go," said Four-arm
Max and Gwen chase after them, but they get stopped by the mutated parrot. Gwen turns to see a stuffed caveman holding a spear. She grabs it and uses it as a jodo staff on the bird, causing it to run away.
Gwen smirks. "Lincoln is not the only one with skills,"
But it was too late as Animo brought back to life a T-rex that was missing some of its skin. Meanwhile, Four-arm tries to handle the mastodon the best he can, punching and manhandling as best he can, but it leads him to be knocked around in the exhibit.
"That's it, time to go for a spin," said Four-arms.
Four-arms grab the mastodon and spin it around faster and faster until the mastodon passes out from the speed.
"Alright, time to get Dr. Animo," Four-arms runs to Gwen and Max.
The Tennyson ducks the tail of the T-rex with Dr. Animo riding on top, causing further damage to the museum.
"I'd love to stay, but I need to claim the award I so richly deserve," said Dr. Animo as he left the museum with the T-rex.
Then the parrot comes back and grabs Gwen while she and Max are stunned.
"Lincoln! " Max shouted, but then found a piece of paper on the ground.
Four-arm ran in and saw the parrot holding Gwen. He chases after it and then leaps onto it.
"You aren't going nowhere, Pauley," said Four-arms.
The bird flew out of the museum while Four-arms was still holding on to it. The bird made a few shakes until Four-arms slipped and fell to the ground, making a carter.
Four-arms gets up and shouts at Gwen, "Hang on Gwen." Then he changes back to Lincoln.
At the right time, Max arrives with the RV, "you need a lift."
"I sure do." Lincoln gets into the Rustbucket, "fellow that bird."
As the parrot flew across the city, still holding onto Gwen by her backpack.
"Spend a summer with your grandpa, honey. It'll be an adventure, "Gwen said to herself, what her mother told her before the trip, and she crossed her arms.
Then the backpack breaks apart, and Gwen freaks out until an idea pops into her head. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a smartphone.
"Well, mom always uses it for emergencies, and this does qualify as one."
Back in the RV, Max and Lincoln look for Gwen and the mutated parrot.
"There was no sign of beak breath," said Lincoln.
"It can't be that hard to find a parrot about the size of an elephant to roost," said Max, who then hands the paper to Lincoln and says, "Here, look what Dr. Animo left behind."
Lincoln sees an image of young Animp not getting his award and reads, "Dr. Kelly accepts the Verities Award." Then Lincoln realizes, "he's going to get his award."
"Good Lincoln, but we need to find Gwen." Then Max's phone buzzes in the cupholder, and Max looks up to see Gwen calling, "Lincoln answers the phone."
"Gwen, where are you?"
"I'm hanging on top of the Washington Monument, but I'm losing grip." said Gwen.
"Mr. Tennyson Gwen is on top of the Washington Monument. We need to hurry."
Max and Lincoln arrive near the Washington Monument to see Gwen losing her grip.
Lincoln quickly went to the watch to see if it was ready to use. He picks an alien and turns into another feline, but blue and has a thunderbolt on his chest. Lincoln called this alien "Fasttrack."
"Alright, time to save Gwen," said Fasttrack.
Gwen slipped off the monument and fell. Fasttrack runs on the monument, catches Gwen, and both land on the ground.
"Are you okay, Gwen?" said Fasttrack.
"I'm fine, Lincoln," said Gwen.
Fasttrack sees the mutated bird coming back to them again. Fasttrack put Gwen down and led the bird away from her and Max. His turn makes a mini-tornado using his speed, trapping the bird in it, and Lincoln manages to put down the bird with one kick.
"Goodnight birdy," Fasttrack thought.
Fasttrack makes a b-line to Dr. Animo. He arrives at the university to see that Kelly was about to get eaten by the T-rex. Fasttrack quickly runs and jumps to grab Kelly before getting eaten.
Dr. Animo got angrier and gripped an award, "What are you, you little pest?"
"I'm Fasttrack and I'm here to end your madness, you loser," said Fasttrack, letting Kelly go as he ran out of the building.
Fasttrack uses his speed to distract the doctor, and he climbs up and grabs the helmet of Dr. Animo's head, causing him to drop the award that he wanted so badly. Fasttrack throws the helmet to the ground hard, smashing it to pieces.
"No! "My Transmodulator," Dr. Animo cries out.
Suddenly, the T-rex turns back to bones, and Dr. Animo falls to the ground and gets trapped under the bones.
Fasttrack smirked and thought, "My work here is done." Fasttrack runs out of
With Dr. Animo in police custody, the Tennsyons and Lincoln rode off from Washington, D.C.
"Whelp I can across Washington, D.C. from the place I want to visit," Lincoln said as he sat at the dinette, sipping a bottle of Pepsi.
Gwen sat with him. It would have been nicer if Animo wasn't obsessed with some award and I didn't get to grab a mutated parrot."
"Well, at least you got a killer view of the national capital from that bird."
Gwen rolls her eyes. "Yeah, whatever." Then she smirks, "Bunny."
"Oh, not you too."
"What does it work well for you."
"You're not going to forget that nickname, are you?"
"Nope."
Lincoln sighs, "I can live with it." He sipped his soda and thought "I hope so."
