When summer started, Gwen expected her road trip around Grandpa would be fun and relaxing, especially with her cousin Ben not coming along on the trip. Of course, she likes Ben because he is family, and you can't hate your family member, but Ben gets on her nerves and can be a jerk. With that said, it was a relief to Gwen that Ben wasn't on the trip, and after visiting Bancroft Academy, which she had been dying to attend, she thought her summer was going to be exciting.

It certainly would be, but not how she expected to meet a runaway boy with white hair named Lincoln. He then gets an alien watch that transforms into different kinds of aliens, and it gets stuck on his arm. Now Gwen helps Lincoln fight crime with his newfound powers. After several days, Gwen hangs around and talks to Lincoln. She thinks Lincoln is a sweet and kind boy, leading her to have many questions about him. Why did he run away from his home and how long had he been by himself? More importantly, did his family abuse him?

Questions that Lincoln wouldn't answer any time soon, but she could wait and hope it doesn't bring back bad memories.

Now Gwen, her grandpa, and Lincoln were in Virginia Beach looking at the various famous places. They ended up at the Military Aviation Museum. She didn't want to come to the museum, but Lincoln and Max wanted to go to the museum. They were looking at a WW2 fighter.

"Wow, this plane looks cool," said Lincoln.

Max looks at the information next to the plane. "It says that this plane has had various models during the war."

"You think they're still around?"

"I think they are either owned by someone wealthy or at an aircraft boneyard."

Lincoln turns to Gwen and says, "hey Gwen, what do you think about the plane?"

Gwen put up a smile. "I think the plane is fine."

"All right, what next Mr. Tennyson?"

"I think we should check out Jurassic Park," said Max.

"Great something that isn't old military crafts," Gwen thought.

Before they could go to that part of the museum, they heard gunfire, and they saw a masked man putting a WW1 onto the back of a trailer connected to a red semi-truck.

"Whelp time to be a hero," said Lincoln.

He goes to his watch, selects the Fasttrack hologram figure, and presses on the centerpiece. However, Lincoln didn't turn into Fasttrack. Instead, he turns into a teal, black, and white humanoid blob with circuits all over his body and a circle in the center of his head.

"Okay, um, this is new?" said Lincoln, looking at himself. "I have no idea what this alien is."

"What can you even do with that alien?" asked Gwen.

"I'll figure it out."

Lincoln ran toward the robbers, but they drove off from the museum.

"Dang it." When he suddenly touches a corvette, his arm begins to spread throughout the car. "What the heck?" Lincoln takes his hand off the car. "Hm, I wonder?"

Lincoln's whole body goes to the car, transforming into a futuristic car, and he feels he's one with the car and begins to drive after the robbers. He manages to catch up with the robbers. They saw Lincoln coming close to them, and they began to shoot at Lincoln. He dodges the gunfire and drives close to the semi-truck, gets out of the car, takes over the semi-truck, and stops the truck dead in the road.

"The truck stopped!" said the robber on the driver's side.

The other robber tries to get out of the passenger seat, but Lincoln locks the door. "I can't get out of the truck."

"Yeah, well you guys won't be going anywhere," said Lincoln through the speaker of the truck.

"Who's talking to us?" One of the robbers said

"Someone who doesn't like crime."

Then police cars came down the street, and Lincoln quickly got out of the truck and went back to the sports car, transforming back into it and driving off. Suddenly, he started to flash and red. He transformed back to his regular self, but now on top of the car's hood. Luckily for him, the Rustbucket came down the street and stopped. Lincoln quickly gets into the RV before someone notices.

Later that night, Gwen and Linclon were alone in the Rustbucket, eating one of Max's unique dinners that involved Antelope.

"Well, this one isn't so bad," said Lincoln.

"Yeah, at least it's bugs," said Gwen, taking a bite out of her dinner. Then she asks Lincoln, "So what is it like being that weird blob alien?"

"At first, I felt like myself but talking into a speaker and then took over the semi-truck and the car. I felt like I was moving every little part of those vehicles.

"Wow, have you named it yet?"

"I came up with a great one, Upgrade."

"Why Upgrade?"

"Well, because when I take over a machine, I make things better."

"Hm, it works."

Lincoln finishes his dinner with, "welp, I'm done." Lincoln takes his plate to the sink.

"Lincoln, can I ask you something?"

"Sure, Gwen."

"I know you don't want to answer this question, but why did you run away?"

Lincoln was quiet for a moment and said, "Let's just say, my family and I have problems. At the end, I decided to run away."

"It was that bad?"

"Yes."

"It must have been rough," Gwen thought.

"I can stop talking about my family now."

"Alright."

Lincoln sat back down, "Anymore questions?"

"Yeah, what is the craziest thing you have done or witnessed before you met us?"

Lincoln smiled, "Well, one time I was in this town called "Jackson." I was getting some supplies and I saw these two guys driving this car that was all burnt. "

"Your joking?"

"I'm not when they get out of the car and it totally breaks down into pieces."

Gwen laughs.

And that's just one of my stories; I've got plenty more if you're interested.

"Sure, I've got nothing else to do."

Thus Lincoln tells Gwen his tales of being run away for the rest of the night.
