Lincoln POV

So today was interesting. Mr. Tennyson had me go through an obstacle course in the middle of nowhere. I'm kind of impressed that he made it in less than an hour. I stood in the middle of the course as Max stood outside it.

"Alright Lincoln, remember to think in this type of situation, strength won't always be the best option," said Max.

"Got it, Mr. Tennyson," said Lincoln.

I use the watch to transform into Diamondhead and try to remember the point of this course. First, Mr. Tennyson pulled a rope, and a tire came at me, and I dodged it. Then he pulled a lever of cans flying toward them and shot them down with my crystal hand. Then more targets pop up, and I try to think of how to hit the target price with ease. So I hit wooden targets on some rocks and then a cactus that said "robber." When I tried to think of my next move and didn't account for the other tire swinging toward me, I almost dodged it, but I got hit in the face.

I heard Gwen from the Rustbucket say, "That's got to hurt."

"Are you okay, Lincoln?" asked Max.

I get up from the ground and dust myself off. "I'm good, Mr. Tennyson. Let's keep going. "

"I think that's enough for today."

At the same time, I turn back to my regular human self and say, "fine."

After that, we got back onto the road. I was sitting with Gwen at the dinette. I was thinking about how to be better with the watch Gwen notices while she's on her laptop.

"Lincoln, What are you thinking about?" asked Gwen.

I responded, "I'm trying to think of what I could do better at the obstacle course."

Mr. Tennyson overheard the conversation and said, "Lincoln, you did fine. I want you to think but not overthink a situation."

"He got the point that Lincoln's overthinking things would cause more trouble than harm," said Gwen.

"Fine."

Seriously though, how can't I overthink things? I have a watch that lets me turn into all kinds of aliens, and I'm a runaway. One little mistake would end up being bad for me, Gwen, and her grandpa. I don't want that to happen. Suddenly, Rustbucket started to move differently.

"Something's wrong with the tires. We'll make a quick pit stop," said Max.

That pitstop would be in an old mining town that had seen better days. We got out of the RV to see what the problem was with it.

Mr. Tennyson takes a piece of glass out of the tire. "I must have run over a glass bottle,"

"What even is this place?" I asked.

"From the intellimap program, it says this town was incorporated in the year 1857, after discovering silver, but went bust in the last fifties when the mine ran out," said Gwen.

"That's pretty neat info, Gwen,"

She smiled, "Thanks."

"Replacing the tire wouldn't take that long," said Max.

I asked Mr. Tennyson, "I can help you."

"That's okay, Lincoln. I got to this."

"Oh okay, I'll walk around here."

Third POV

Lincoln looked around the mine, and he walked into this old bar to see the bar looked old and worn with dust, and spider webs had taken over the bar. There was even an old piano straight out of those old cowboy movies. He heard something behind me and turned around to see it was Gwen.

"Sorry if I scared you," she said.

"Eh, don't worry, I wasn't scared," said Lincoln.

"Sure you were, bunny."

"I thought you forgot about that."

"Nope, it's a good nickname for you."

"Because of my serious hair, everyone made that comment about it."

"Seriously though, did you dye it?"

"No, it's my regular hair color that I was born with." He wanted to change the topic. He looked at the piano and said, "Hey, check out this piano. I wonder if it's still working. "

He goes to the piano, and Gwen follows him. He pressed one of the keys on the piano, making the tiniest noise.

"I guess it doesn't work after all these years," said Gwen.

"Yeah, what a shame, though it is a nice piano, "said Lincoln. Wait a minute; I've got an idea. Lincoln uses the watch and turns it into "upgrade," absorbs it into the piano, plays a show-tune song, and comes out of it with "ta-da."

Gwen clapped, "impressive."

Then the ground started to rumble. Something was burrowing in the ground, coming toward Lincoln and Gwen. They moved out of the way, and jumping out of the floor was a large orange and brown robot that had a metal body and a large claw it was a bounty hunter named Kraab.

"What the heck is that?" said Gwen.

"No idea. I don't think it's the friendly type," said Upgrade.

"Alright, hand over the Omnitrix. You might not get hurt much," said Kraab

Upgrade realizes what he was talking about the watch, and he says to the kraab, "Yeah, that's not going to happen, crabby."

"I was hoping you weren't a pushover."

Upgrade goes up in the air and tries to absorb him, but the hunter smacks him into a couple of tables. Upgrade recovers and throws a couple of chairs at him, who hits them out of the air. And Upgrade tries to absorb him but gets shocked as he gets near him.

"Ha, you better come up with something better than that," said Kraab

Upgrade fell back to Gwen and asked, "Got any ideas?"

Gwen looks around to see if the pillars of the bar were trembling and "bringing the house down."

Upgrade gets what Gwen is saying and goes near the pillars. The Kraab tries to hit him with a large claw, but Upgrade ducks, and he breaks the pillars. Upgrade quickly grabs Gwen as the bar falls on top of the crab, and they get out to see the bar collapse onto the crab. Then Upgrade turns back to Lincoln.

"I should get back to my grandpa before crabby wakes up," said Gwen.

"You don't have to tell me twice," said Lincoln.

The two head back to Max, who replaces the tire with the Rusketbucket and sees frightened looks on them.

"Kids, what's wrong?" said Max.

"There is this crab thing that wants Lincoln to watch," said Gwen.

"He's crushed under a bar," said Lincoln.

"Alright, we're leaving and trying to put some distance between it and us," said Max.

Everyone quickly gets into the Rustbucket without knowing someone else was watching them leave. In the RV, Gwen looks at the window to see if there are any signs of the crab.

"No signs of crab guy," said Gwen.

"Alright, I'll just think of something," said Lincoln.

Then a saw cuts through the RV roof, and sharp hands open the roof cut to reveal another alien in purple armor speaking in a different language who goes by the name SixSix

"Who's that?" said Gwen.

"I have no idea," said Lincoln.

The alien tries to reach down and grab Lincoln, seeing that Max hit the brakes, causing the alien to fall off the Rustbucket, and he rams him over. Then RV tires pop, making Max pull over on the side of the road. He gets to see the damage and the alien getting up on the road.

He looks to see a mine, and he tells the kids, "Everyone get out, we're heading to the mine."

Everyone runs to the mine when they turn around to see the ground burrowing again and the crab coming out of it.

"Remember me," said the kraab

The trio ran inside the mine and hid behind a corner. Lincoln peeks around to see if anyone is following them.

"I don't see either one of those guys," said Lincoln.

Out of the ground came the crab, and it was not happy with "the Omnitrix! Give it to me! "

Max picks up a piece of metal and throws it at the crab, but it crushes it with a large claw. The trio runs away from the crab and, as it chases them down the mine, eventually ends up at the end of the mine with nowhere else to run but a huge drop in front of them.

"Now what?" said Gwen.

Max looks up and sees a lift. He takes the kids to it and puts them in it, and manages to get the lift working before the crab gets them.

"What a pathic pry," said the crab who tried to cut the wire to the lift, but the alien in purple armor shot at him.

He goes after the Tennysons, and Lincoln fires at them. Lincoln looked to see the watch was done recharging.

"Finally," said Lincoln, who was about to use the watch, but Max stopped him. "What?"

Max responded, "That's what they want you to do. We need a plan."

"Okay, what are we going to do about that alien shooting at us?"

Then a green ray from nowhere blasts the purple alien, and it falls down to the bottom. The trio looked to see another alien wearing a green and black suit, riding a hoverboard while holding a laser rifle.

"Great, another one," said Gwen.

The lift enters back into the mine, with the third alien following them until they reach the end. As the alien approaches, Max stands in front of Gwen and Lincoln.

"Look, I know you want the watch, and I'm not giving it to you," said Lincoln.

The alien responds, "You should. It's the most powerful weapon in the whole galaxy."

"Why should he give it to you?" said Gwen.

"Because I'm a good guy." The alien helmet was removed to reveal the alien, looking like one of Lincoln's aliens, Diamondhead.

"What?" said Lincoln.

Lincoln couldn't believe that he was seeing an alien that was the same race as the one on his watch and that he said he was a good guy. Today was a weird day for sure.

"Look what you have bound to your arm. It is the most dangerous device in the whole universe," said the "good" alien.

"And what are you going to do with Lincoln?" said Max.

"I'm just going to take him somewhere, get the device off of him, and put it back in his right hand."

Lincoln responded, "Uh-huh, look..."

"Tetrax."

"Tetrax, I think, is in good hands right now."

"Maybe, but I can't take any risk."

"What if I approve it for you?"

"How?"

Gwen pitched in, "There are two bad guys that are still looking for Lincoln to provide that."

"No, I'll take care of them on my own."

"But you'll get overwhelmed," said Lincoln.

"Maybe unless you've got any idea."

Then an idea popped into his head, "Actually I do."

"And you think it'll work?"

"Hopefully."

Kraab and SixSix looked around for the Omnitrix and the traitor bounty hunter in the ghost town.

"Where is that traitor? He must have gotten away with that watch," said Kraab.

SixSix said something in his native language that Kraab didn't like.

"Please, it's not my fault that you lost them and if we both want to get paid, we better find them fast."

"Looking for me," SixSix and Kraab looked and saw Tetrax.

"Where is the watch?"

"It's far away from you two and you'll never get it."

SixSix used a jetpack and flew at Tetrax. He started to shoot at him. Tetrax made a crystal shield blocking the lasers, then used SixSix out in the air and landed on the ground. Kraab was about when he felt something on his head, and it was Lincoln in his alien form called "Gray Matter."

"Get off of me, you little parasite," said Kraab.

"Sorry but no, I'm shutting you down," Gray Matter

He took one piece off of Kraab's head and found wires, and he started to mess with them, with Kraab trying to grab him. But it was pointless as Gray Matter shut down Kraab.

Gray Matter jumped down from the shutdown Kraab and thought, "one down, one more to go.

Gray Matter sees that Tetrax and SixSix are fighting, with SixSix throwing him into an abandoned building. Gray Matter ran and jumped on SixSix's jetpack and started messing around, finding all the gears and how the jetpack worked in seconds. The jetpack was already useless before SixSix knew it as he tried to get Gray Matter off of him. But it gave Tetrax enough time to throw a punch hard enough to knock out the hunter.

"See, the plan worked," said Gray Matter.

Tetrax gave an impressive smile. "It did."

Later, after Tetrax had two bounty hunters into transportation cubes, he met up with Tennyson and Lincoln.

Lincoln asked, "So am I going to keep the Omnitrix?"

"Seeing as it's in good condition, I don't see why not," Tetrax said.

Lincoln smiled as Tetrax handed him a gift, which turned out to be a hoverboard.

"Sweet, wait, how are you going to get back into space?"

"I have my own way." Then Tertax teleported away.

Gwen looked at Lincoln's new hoverboard and said, "Why do you get the cool alien stuff?"

"I'll let you borrow it."

"Thanks, bunny." Gwen smirked.

Lincoln groaned.
