Author note: (This will be very different from the original episode, so keep that in mind.)
Lincoln had been in a couple of states as a runaway, but he never thought he would come to the big apple with two people he had known for about a couple of weeks. His overall attitude was as excited as Gwen's when they arrived in the city, ready to look at its various sights. But first, the two had to wait as Max was getting the room key to their hotel room in "Hotel Bliss" that he had booked before the summer. As Gwen and Lincoln waited for Max in the lobby.
"So Gwen, what are you excited to see in the city?" asked Lincoln.
Gwen put down the hotel brochure. "Many things, but have you seen this hotel? They have got everything; great food, soft beds, and a spa."
"I wonder if they have pizza. I haven't had one in a long time."
Max came up to the two and said, "Alright, I got our room. Lincoln managed to get you in as well."
"Thanks, Mr. Tennyson."
"No problem, kiddo."
After getting into the room, the three spent half the day sightseeing the city and looking at various sights, from Times Square to the World Center and the Brooklyn Bridge. However, their sightseeing came to a stop when Lincoln spotted a man robbing a convenience store and getting away in a getaway vehicle.
"I'll handle this," said Lincoln, taking off to the nearest alleyway.
"Try not to get lost," Max shouted.
Lincoln went to his Omnitrix and went to one of his aliens. He selected Ghostfreak, but the watch turned him into Big Chill.
Why does this watch do that? Big Chill pondered
He turned invisible and took off after the carjacker. The criminal turned the corner to evade the cops. The Big Chill used his frost power to freeze the car's tires, coming to a full stop. Big Chill took the robber out of the car and froze his upper body to a light pole.
Whelp that has taken just now. Where am I? Big Chill thought he had looked and saw Central Park. Okay, just now, I need to fly back.
The Omnitrix started to flash red. He flew back to the ground and went back to the park. He phased through a bathroom and turned back to human form. Lincoln came out of the bathroom and headed out of the park as he headed back to Max and Gwen.
But one thing Lincoln didn't give much thought to was that New York was a big city, and it was a little hard to find someone without a phone.
Lincoln thought, Maybe I should find a cafe with a computer, and I can get directions back to the hotel.
Lincoln walked into a sketchy street with broken-down cars and shady people standing behind corners. Lincoln just needed to keep himself calm and try not to act like a hero, as he had done before as a runaway. He turned the corner and saw a group of older teenagers chasing someone almost the same age as Lincoln in the alley. The kid wore a torn black tank top, red shorts, a lock necklace, and black boots. Lincoln wanted to mind his business and get back to Gwen and Max. But his consciousness was pounding like a knock on the door.
Lincoln looked down to see that his Omnitrix was still red, but then saw a large spark in the alley, and a bunch of the older teenagers ran off.
What just happened? Lincoln thought
Lincoln ran into the alleyway and saw the kid had a scratch on his right cheek.
The kid saw Lincoln. "What do you want?"
"Nothing, I just saw the sparks. What happened?" said Lincoln.
"They tried to beat me up and show them what's up."
"Oh, so you have electric power?"
Before Kevin could say anything, the teenagers returned with some weapons in their hands.
"Alright, freak, you shouldn't take the rest route," said one of the teenagers.
"And Casper, you should get out of here, or you'll get the same treatment."
Lincoln looked down at his watch and saw it turn green. He turned to the kid and said,
"You may want to cover your eyes."
Lincoln quickly went to the Omnitrix, and he picked an alien form, and it was Fasttrack. He picked up the kid and got away from the teenagers. Fasttrack took the kid near a warehouse.
"Man, that was so cool. How did you do that?" said Kevin.
"Well, I can turn into my alien forms because of this watch I got," said Fasttrack.
"What's your name?"
"Lincoln, yours?"
"Kevin."
Then Lincoln changed back to his regular self.
"So what other form can you turn into?" asked Kevin.
"A lot, but the watch needs to recharge," said Lincoln.
"That's cool. We can hang out at my hideout."
"I don't know, Kevin. I have to meet up with someone at a hotel."
"What's the hotel?"
"Hotel Bliss."
"Aw, dude, my hideout is a few blocks away from that hotel. You'll be back in no time."
Lincoln gave some thought and said, "Alright, just a few minutes."
Kevin and Lincoln head to an old toy store that seemed to be abandoned, but once Lincoln stepped in, he saw arcade machines, all kinds of TVs, and boxes of different tech.
"Woah, this is awesome," said Lincoln.
"Thanks, I managed to get all of this cool stuff," said Kevin.
Lincoln sat on a bean bag and then asked, "This must be a pretty awesome place to hang out away from any parents."
"Yeah, I don't worry about that." Kevin walked up to Mrs. Pacman and started to play it.
"Why that?"
"Since they abandoned me a few years back, I've been on my own since, but hey, I'm doing it for the most part."
He's like me in the way Lincoln thought.
"So, what's your story?"
"I ran away from my family because I didn't like the pressure and all the drama."
"Damn, that sucks. Hey, stay here with me if you want. I've got plenty of room."
"I'll think about it." Then Lincoln thought about Gwen and Max, probably about them.
Kevin got off the arcade and was about to get a fridge, but then a brick came crashing into his hideout. Kevin looked at the brick to see a note attached to it. He took the note off and read it, "This isn't over."
"Kevin crumpled the paper, "that it takes this anymore."
"I'm guessing the brick was from the teenagers?" said Lincoln.
"Yeah, I say we touch them a lesson,"
"What do you mean?"
"Let's thrash their place and give them a beating."
Lincoln got up from his bean bag. "I don't think that's right, Kevin. It's going to lead to more trouble."
"Nah, this is the way, man. Are you with me or not?"
"I'm sorry, but I'm not with you on this, Kevin. There are other ways to do this. "
Kevin frowned and then made an evil smirk, "Maybe there is another way."
Lincoln didn't like the look on Kevin's face. "Kevin, what are you thinking?"
"Trying something new."
Kevin grabbed the Omnitrix and tried to take it off of Lincoln's wrist. Then a huge spark comes off the Omnitrix, and a huge force pushes back the two kids, causing Lincoln to hit his head on a pillar, knocking him out. While Kevin fell on his butt and saw that the right side of him was changing into something different, he grinned.
I'm going to like this, Kevin thought.
Lincoln woke up with a throbbing pain in his head, and Kevin was gone. He walked to the hideout and headed back to the hotel with worrying thoughts about Kevin as the sunset. Lincoln got back to the hotel to a worrying Max.
"Lincoln, where have you been? I was about to go out and look for you," said Max, who crossed his arms.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Tennyson, but I think there is going to be big trouble on the horizon," said Lincoln.
"Explain."
Ben explained to Max what had happened to him and his encounter with Kevin, which included him trying to grab the Omnitrix and then getting knocked out.
"And now I have no idea where he has gone," said Lincoln.
"You're right; that does sound like trouble coming," said Max.
Then the hotel room door opened. Lincoln and Max turned to see Gwen with a white towel wrapped around her head.
"Lincoln, you're back," said Gwen.
"Gwen, why do you have a towel around your head?"
"I was at the hotel SPA, but where were you?"
Before Lincoln could say anything, TV news broke the conversation, with breaking news catching the three's attention.
The anchor man tells the news, "About an hour ago, a local arcade burned down. Luckily, no one got hurt, but many eyewitnesses say that it was some kind of flame monster. We will have more later tonight."
"I think we should go now," said Max.
At a bridge called "the 39th bridge," the gang of teens that terrorized Kevin were trapped between the pipes, and they were terrified as in front of them was Kevin. But the whole right half of his body resembles.
"Kevin, c'mon, man, we're just joking," said one of the teens.
"I know, but I've got a burner for you guys," said Kevin, with sparks on his flaming hand.
"Kevin." Kevin turned around and saw Waterhazard, who wasn't happy with what he saw.
"Lincoln I got to say, this power I got from your watch is working wonders for me."
"It's over; I'm stopping this before you do anything that puts more people in danger."
"Then guess you have to take care of this," Kevin says, throwing a fireball at the teens.
Waterharzad managed to put out the fire before reaching the teen, but Kevin gave him a sucker punch. Unknown to Kevin, as he fights with Waterharzd, Gwen and Max get the teens away from the fight. Waterharzad blasted Kevin in the face, sending him into the dumpster.
"Are you going to stop Kevin?" said Waterharzad.
"Never," said Kevin.
He fired a couple of fireballs at Waterharzad, who managed to dodge Kevin's attacks before blasting him with a stream of water. This didn't stop Kevin, as he kept on attacking Waterharzad until suddenly, when he tried to fire another fireball, but Waterhazard grabbed his Heatblast arm, and he punched him hard enough before going into the bridge pillars.
Kevin removes the pillar pieces from him and begs WaterHazard, "alright, I give up. You win."
"Somehow, I don't trust you on that," said Waterharzard, walking up to him.
Kevin grinned again and managed to grab the Omnitrix badge, creating another shock wave. Blasting Kevin away, Waterhazard was still on his feet. Waterharzard turned back to Lincoln as he saw Kevin looking normal again. Kevin tried to use his power, but nothing came out of his hand.
"My powers are gone," said Kevin.
"You only got yourself to blame, Kevin, goodbye," said Lincoln, turning his back and walking away from Kevin, trying desperately to get something to work.
Two hours later, the Tennysons and Lincoln were in the Rustbucket, driving away from New York City.
"Goodbye, New York City," said Gwen.
"Sorry you guys dragging into the whole Kevin situation," said Lincoln
"It's okay, Lincoln, you try to do the right thing," said Max.
"But why Kevin? He seemed like a creep." said Gwen.
"I just felt sorry for him in a way. We're kind of the same," said Lincoln.
"Lincoln, you are not the same as Kevin. you better than what Kevin became," said Max.
Lincoln smiled a little, "Thanks, Mr. Tennyson." He then thought I wonder what Kevin is doing now?
Back at Kevin's hideout, he was in the bathroom and looking at his hand. He tried one more time, and frost came off of it.
Oh, Lincoln, this is far from over. Wait until you get a load of me. Kevin thought, who then laughs at the things he's going to do.
