Tarmiel flew down to Sariel, who had been badly injured during the attack.
"Sariel!" Tarmiel cried, holding him in his arms. "Come on, stay with me."
"It looks like the mission failed," said Sariel weakly.
"Just take it easy."
"I used up all my power to try to suppress him. What a terrible blunder, right, Tarmiel."
Tarmiel was racked with guilt; if he hadn't faulted, then this may not have happened. "I'm so sorry. I tried, but I just… I just wasn't able to do it."
"That was it, our only chance to stop Mael," said Sariel looking at the ball of light above them. "Darkness or light, nothing applies to him anymore."
Fishlegs was in an even worse state than Sariel.
"Hold it together, Fishlegs," said Astrid kneeling beside him.
"The Fairy King is in a sorry state; even if he managed to recover, I doubt he has the strength to defeat Mael," Sariel observed.
"It's okay," said Astrid gently.
"There may still be a chance if Astrid is able to weaken Mael's mind to allow Skull to a mental attack," said Sariel. "But we can't count on that. She seems to be a different woman from the battle-hardened warrior 3,000 years ago we knew before. The embodiment of evil is about to be born in the distorted light. He is no longer the Mael we once knew."
Both Ruby and Toothless had reached the battlefield and could see that something was going on within the ball of light above them.
"What's going on, that ball of light?" Toothless asked.
"Nothing good, I can tell you that," said Skull as he landed on Toothless' head.
"It looks like a cocoon; despite having a strong reaction against them, he's trying to fuse with the four Commandments," said Ruby.
"It's so frustrating," said Sariel. "I couldn't save Mael or provide protection for Lady Ruby. I do not deserve to be one of the Four Archangels. Supreme Deity, I pay for your forgiveness."
"Come on, Mael!" Tarmiel roared at the cocoon of light above them. "Please remember! Think back to the days you were kind and gentle!"
Then suddenly, beams of light and darkness shot out from the cocoon, raining down directly above them.
Unfortunately, they were also directly above Berk, which to began suffering the bombardment. The citizens were immediately running for shelter.
"A calamity of light and darkness is falling from the heavens!"
"Everyone, get out of the streets and find shelter now!" Calder roared as he supported Gael on his shoulder.
"This is the end of the world!" said a wounded soldier.
"Damn fool, don't give up!" Ase snapped as she helped him up.
The Giant and Fairy that had gathered to fight observed the bombardment falling down upon Berk.
Balder and Meatlug roared.
"Balder? Meatlug?" said Adava looking at them. "You'll go for us?"
They roared once again, and Balder placed his claw on Meatlug. A split second later, they vanished using Meatlug's power of transport.
"Good luck, protect our king. Protect King Anthurium," Adava prayed.
Heather and the rest of the Dragon Knights watched the bombardment.
"Take a look; it's coming from the direction Ruby was taken," said Ake.
"Skull flew in that direction as well," said Heather.
"Just what in the world is happening up there?" said Ake as he looked up towards the sky. "Heather, I'm sure you worried sick about Astrid and Fishlegs, but—"
When he turned around, he saw that Heather had completely vanished into thin air.
"Heather?"
On the sky, Temple will be rushed over towards Astrid and Fishlegs.
"Ruby!" said Astrid.
"Sir Fishlegs?!" Ruby gasped and knelt down towards him. "He's losing a lot of blood."
She then began to attempt to heal his injuries.
Mael, however, did not stop with his bombardment.
"Mael, please! I bet you've got to stop this!" Tarmeil pleaded.
Then a beam of dark blight headed straight towards them, and the moment it struck them, they disintegrated.
"Sariel! Tarmiel!" Ruby screamed.
"At this rate, we're not going to survive this," said Skull.
"I had hoped that destroying me would be enough to vent his anger, but I underestimated his rage," said Astrid.
"Finding ourselves in these kinds of situations is second nature to us, and we always find a way to get out of them," said Toothless.
"True," Astrid nodded.
Being a pure light and headed straight towards them, but Astrid pulled out her axe. She then swung it directly at the light smashing it into pieces, protecting them, but the force was powerful enough to push them backwards.
"Lady Astrid, no!" Ruby cried.
"I know what it's like to be consumed by anger, and I will do everything I can to free you, Mael," Astrid vowed.
More beams of light headed straight down towards them, but then suddenly, portals appeared, absorbing the attacks.
"Something smells weird," said Toothless.
"Meatlug, is that you?" Fishlegs stared.
Sure enough, emerging from a portal was Meatlug. The moment she got out, she grew larger herself and opened her mouth wide and emerging from it were Heather and Balder. Heather quickly coated herself in metal and took the blows while Balder slashed them to pieces with his claws.
"Oh wow, looks like things are far crazier up here than I thought," said Heather.
"Heather? What are you doing here?" Fishlegs stared.
"I'm here to help," she said as she stood strong. "Heather is here! Serpents Sin of the Seven Deadly Sins!"
Heather then began spinning her hammer around to block the shot coming from the cocoon above.
"What's going on now? What's the situation?" she asked.
"I'll show you," said Skull and began all the information they had to Heather in a single second.
"No way!" Heather stared. "Seriously? That's what ended the Holy War? Sariel and Tarmiel, even Dereri… they were all killed?"
Then suddenly, the light began to shrink.
"The light is shrinking," said Heather.
Then suddenly appearing before them was Mael wearing a white and over his face was a cloth bearing the symbols of the four Commandments he had absorbed. He now had three pairs of wings with the left side white feathers, and the right side had black feathers. Also, sticking out of his head appeared to be horns, but they were completely white.
Toothless just stared at him dumbfounded. "Whoa! You've got to be kidding me; his power level is over 200,000!"
"He was only powerful, to begin with, and now he has the collective power of four of the Ten Commandments," said Skull.
Then suddenly, the Commandment of Love vanished from the cloth covering his face.
"Everyone, run away!" said Ruby.
"To where we're on a floating island?" Toothless reminded her.
Appearing in Mael's hand was a purple orb which bore the mark of the Commandment of Love. Then suddenly, there was a huge flash, and they were struck by a powerful shockwave that had been omitted from the orb; it was so powerful that it caused the clouds to part and destroyed the ruins on the island.
Heather had taken the full brunt of the attack and had collapsed.
"Heather, no!" Fishlegs cried as he saw Heather lying on the ground. "Say something?! Lady Ruby! Please heal Heather's wounds!"
"That's kinda weird," said Heather as she picked herself up. "It doesn't really hurt at all; if anything, it feels really good." However, she did feel a strong urge to close her eyes and asleep. "My eyelids are getting heavy."
She then collapsed and began to fall asleep.
Fishlegs, too felt the need to sleep. "Oh no, I'm getting sleepy too. So, tired."
Ruby is well was beginning to fall asleep. "Meliodas…"
Everyone was flat on the ground, fast asleep, and the Commandment of Love returned to the cloth surrounding Mael's face.
However, not everyone has been affected by Mael's attack as Astrid stood there completely immune. She was sending a bright red pulse from her axe, and Ruby was the first to awaken; she then rose to her feet and turned to face Mael.
"Now, Wraith Reaction!" Astrid yelled. "Mael converted the Commandment of Love to turn the pain of a fatal flesh wound into that of pleasure, killing his target as if they had fallen asleep. Terrifying technique, but fortunately, it has no effect on me."
Both Heather and Fishlegs then began to wake up, they were alive, but Astrid had awakened their bodies to the payment received from Mael's attack.
"If Astrid had woken us up, that would have been it for us," said Heather.
"Yeah, you're right, but now my body is screaming in pain," Fishlegs winced.
"Heather! Sir Fishlegs!" Ruby yelled, using her powers to heal them.
"Listen up, both of you; let us end this with that technique!" Astrid commanded.
"You got it," Fishlegs nodded.
"Right," said Heather.
"True Spirit Spear Chastiefol! Sixth Form: Yggdrasil Cloth!" Fishlegs yelled.
Moments later, his spear transformed and began to surround him, and when the light faded, he floated there wearing a suit of armour.
"Let's do this, Chastiefol," said Fishlegs and flew straight towards Mael.
Heather then tapped her hammer onto the ground and began dancing, causing sparkles of light to fly upwards, surrounding Fishlegs.
"My turn!" said Astrid raising her axe. "Rage Warriors!"
A beam shot axe and struck Fishlegs, and moments later, close himself began swarming the sky.
"High Tension Rush!" Fishlegs yelled as he and his clones flew at Mael.
They then began striking him down with blades and fists with unbelievable speed and power, leaving Mael completely trapped.
Toothless watched everything that was going on. "Did Astrid create clones of Fishlegs?"
"That's her Rage Warrior technique," said Skull landing on Toothless' head. "She's able manifestation the anger of a person into clones. Though she's never done anything to this extent before."
"I can tell that Fishlegs' power level is increasing dramatically; no doubt it's growing in tandem with Heather's dancing," Toothless concluded.
Fishlegs continued striking Mael, sending him flying towards clone after clone.
"We've got this!" Heather smiled. "Mael just can't keep up with the moves of the real Fishlegs and the clones."
Then suddenly, the symbol of the Commandment of Truth vanished off the cloth covering Mael's face. A split second later, a bell with the mark of the Commandment of Truth appeared in his hand, and he began swinging it, causing the sound of the bell to be heard throughout the entire area.
"Is that a victory bell?" Toothless frowned.
"And it has the mark of the Commandment of Truth," Skull noted.
"What is that sinister sound mean?" Fishlegs asked.
Then suddenly, Fishlegs' clones began to explode one after the other. Astrid, too, was hit by an explosion cutting off her concentration.
"He broke through Astrid's spell?" Heather stared.
"What a bizarre bell; where did it even come from?" Fishlegs asked.
"The mark bearing the Commandment of Truth vanished on that face cloth of his, and the bell appeared a few seconds later," said Skull.
"Damn, it would seem as if he's able to materialise the Commandments," said Astrid. "He must have used the Commandment of Truth to destroy any kind of illusion."
The Commandment of Truth reappeared on the cloth, but then the Commandment of Reticence.
"The Commandments just switched," Ruby observed. "The next attack is on its way!"
Ruby then saw something manifestation behind Heather, and then suddenly spinning the ground was a scythe which struck her in the leg, causing her to scream. Fishlegs turnaround to see what was wrong when suddenly he was struck in the back by the same scythe.
"Heather, are you okay?" Fishlegs asked.
"I just let my guard down," said Heather. "Heavy Metal!" She attempted to harden her body into steel, but nothing happened. "Huh? But why? My magical power isn't activating!"
The scythe then flew down back towards her, and she quickly began jumping around to avoid it.
"Careful, Heather!" Fishlegs yelled, but then Chastiefol shattered, and he found himself unable to fly.
"You okay?" Heather asked, looking back at him.
Fishlegs quickly removed his shirt. "What's going on?"
There on his back, they could see that the mark of Reticence had appeared. Astrid turned and looked at Heather's leg and saw that the same mark was on her leg.
"That's the inscription of Reticence," she said and quickly figured out what had happened. "Bad news, your magical powers have been sealed. Ruby, you need to treat their wounds and fast."
Unfortunately, Mael had already summoned the Commandment of Love and planned to attack them with the same move that nearly killed them before.
"That's not good; we take an attack now, then," said Astrid, quickly jumped towards him.
"Astrid, come back!" Heather pleaded.
Astrid then quickly grabbed onto Mael as tightly as she could, wrapping her legs around his waist and her one good arm.
"What are you trying to do?" Heather asked.
"Mael, I'm sorry, I do truly want to save you, but now I have to destroy you to protect my friends," she said regretfully.
Just before they went to war, Astrid had made the requests to Ragnar while he was fixing her body.
"The last resort measure emergency?" he said. "You're not seriously asking me to install a self-destruct function on you?"
"You and I both know what we're up against and know we can't take any half-measures," said Astrid.
"Hiccup will kill me if he finds out I had a hand in this," Ragnar pointed out. "You know what measures he went through just to get you back."
"I know, but he suffered more than anyone could handle, and if this helps him in any way to bring him peace and I must take it."
Ragnar sighed. "If that's your wish, but I am completely against it and hope that you don't have to use it."
"This attack uses power extracted from Eret's Sunshine along with Destroy Four Elements and enhances the explosion with Ragnar's Infinity," Astrid explained. "The result being that all matter within a 10-mile radius of me will vanish when used."
Astrid then immediately looked down at Meatlug. "Meatlug, listen! Please use your power to evacuate everyone!"
However, before Astrid could unleash this powerful attack, she suddenly found himself losing her grip. A split second later, she found herself falling back down towards the ground; it was then that she noticed that there was some sort of incense in the air.
'This incense smoke, the burden on my body, increased at once,' she said.
"This is the load that you must take responsibility for," said a voice that Astrid recognised.
'What?' she looked up and saw the Zephyr, her daughter, standing over her. 'No! This can't be… it must be an illusion created by the Commandment… or maybe it's the dream that my heart desires… or is it really you?'
Mael had used the Commandment of Purity to create an incense container which was leaking incense across the entire area.
"Zephyr, I'm so sorry," Astrid cried.
"Astrid!" Fishlegs yelled, running over to her. "What's the matter with you?"
"Ruby, please! You have to hurry!" Heather pleaded.
Both Meatlug and Balder roared in agreement.
Mael was now reusing the Commandment of Love, no doubt to deal them the final blow.
"Oh no," said Heather.
"We're out of time!" Fishlegs yelled.
Balder then suddenly dashed forwards.
"Balder!"
Balder jumped into the air and took the full brunt of Mael's attack.
Adava was battling with the fairies and giants when suddenly she heard a familiar voice.
'No matter what had become, I will protect what's important to you on your behalf, come what may.'
"Ray?" she said.
On the sky temple, there was a huge explosion as Mael unleashed his attack, but Balder managed to save them all.
"Balder, what did—" Fishlegs stared, and then falling out of the sky was Balder's charred and broken body. "Now, Chastiefol, catch him!"
However, Chastiefol didn't answer his call, as his magical power was still sealed. Heather managed to catch Balder in her hand and gently placed him on the ground.
Fishlegs knelt down to Balder and cried. "Please, Balder… I'm sorry; I never wanted this to happen. Even you? Why did you have to—"
"Because he wanted to save you," said Toothless. "He was going to risk everything to save his precious king, of course."
Mael, however, was preparing to launch a second attack.
"Oh no," said Heather.
Mael then unleashed the attack, and everyone braced themselves, but nothing happened. There was a small explosion, but it was directly above them.
"I thought there would be a bigger kaboom," said Toothless.
Heather stood there with the symbol of Reticence gone, holding her hammer firmly in hand as it touched the ground.
"Gideon answered my call, and just neck of time," said Heather as her hammer smoked. "Thanks to the curse of Reticence disappearing. My Sacred Treasures ability as a lightning rod, it absorbs magical attacks and redirects them into the earth."
"Hang on, if you've always been able to use that technique, why haven't you used it until now?" Toothless asked.
"Because redirecting magical power into the earth means hurting the innocent creatures that inhabit it as was the life of the earth itself," Ruby explained.
"That's right, and that's why I've avoided using it all this time," Heather nodded. "But I thought it would be okay to use it here because the floating island is artificially made with magical power. But in doing so, the core of the island was just destroyed; if I redirect the next attack, it will, without a doubt—"
Mael then immediately launched a third attack.
"Here comes another one!" Toothless yelled.
"Please hold," Heather prayed as she braced herself.
Just like before, Mael's attack was absorbed by Gideon and was absorbed into the earth. However, a few seconds later, the island began to crumble, and all of them began to fall out of the sky.
Heather quickly grabbed Meatlug in her hand but watched as Astrid flew right past her.
"Astrid!" she cried.
Fortunately, Toothless flew by and grabbed her. "Gotta ya."
"Nice one, Toothless," Heather smiled.
Ruby managed to grab one of Heather's fingers and was slowing her descent. "I'm not letting you go!"
"Ruby?"
"Do your best to hang in there, Heather!"
"Don't worry about me; save Fishlegs instead! He can't fly while his magical power is sealed!"
"Oh, it, leave it to me!" Toothless yelled as he dived down.
"Thank you, Toothless, be safe," said Heather relieved.
Toothless flew down into the clouds, but there were so thick you could hardly see anything. "Damn, I can't see what's in front of me while I'm in the clouds! My echo sensory ability's gonna take a while."
Fishlegs was currently plummeting towards the ground, and he was reminiscing about everything.
'The Fairy King falls from the sky to his death; what unfortunate irony that tale would be,' he said to himself. 'Hiccup, I'm sorry I was unable to protect Lady Ruby.'
He thought back to when he first met Hiccup 800 years ago, telling him he was a fine king. 'No, that's not true. I'm absolutely worth king.'
He then remembered Gloxinia praising him for his ability and how highly he thought of him. 'You're overestimating me, King Gloxinia. I tried, but I wasn't able to become a Fairy King like you.'
Then, of course, there was Balder, who always protected him. 'Balder, you were always there looking over me in protecting me.'
Then there was Tarragon's sacrifice as well. 'Tarragon too. The both of you, please forgive me. You saved me many times, but I couldn't save you.'
However, he then suddenly remembered all those happy times he had with the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins and the rest of their friends, and he couldn't give up, not now.
'No! You're wrong, Fishlegs! You promised you would protect your friends! Be strong, Anthurium! Now is the time to show your dignity and presence as the king!'
Then suddenly, there was a blinding flash of light.
Ruby was still keeping Heather aloft, but this, in turn, made her completely defenceless.
"The attitude is steadily decreasing, don't worry about me and run! Just save the others!" Heather pleaded.
"We're still over 1,000 feet in the air!" Skull pointed out. "And Meatlug is still unconscious!"
"He's right; I'm not letting you go!" said Ruby firmly.
"But at this rate—" said Heather and then noticed Mael flying down towards them. "Ruby!"
Ruby turned her head just in time to see Mael reaching to grab her, but then suddenly, there was a flash of light and Mael was sent flying backwards.
"Relax, you have nothing to worry about now; I'll take care of the rest," a voice assured them.
They just stared, stunned, as floating right in front of them was Fishlegs; he was completely different. He was no longer husky and instead had a tall slim body, and his wings were now fully grown and as tall as a human in length.
"Fishlegs… is that you?" Heather gasped.
"That form," Ruby stared.
Fishlegs' wings had evolved, and now he was quite possibly the most powerful Fairy King ever to be born, even more, powerful than Gloxinia.
