Meliodas looked at Ruby and the Seven Deadly Sins, not sure whether to believe his own eyes or not.
"Is it really you?" he asked, looking at Ruby. All of them just merely smiled at him, and he knew that they were, in fact, real. "It's really you, but why? I can't tell whether I'm dreaming or you're here for real."
"This is no dream; we're right beside you," said Ragnar. "We're in spirit form, but we are here nonetheless."
"It is true we do not know you personally, but both Sir Hiccup and Princess Ruby trust you, and that is good enough for us," said Eret.
"We would really like to get to know the real you," said Heather.
"Both Hiccup and Snotlout are fighting; they are in the present world," Fishlegs informed him.
"And we are here to help you if only in spirit," said Astrid.
Ruby then grasped Meliodas' hand. "Meliodas, don't give up. We are all here to help in whatever way we can."
In the real world, the Demon King found his power waning once again.
"Damnit, the Seven Deadly Sins," he cursed. "I don't understand; how are they able to meddle with my spirit?"
He then turned around and saw that Skull was using his magical power to transmit the minds of the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins into him.
"That blasted bird, it is somehow able to infect the mind," he growled.
"Never underestimate the Seven Deadly Sins," said Snotlout as he attempted to free himself from his grip. "If you do, you will pay for it dearly."
"You could beat us in a fair fight, so you decide to use trickery, but that has even failed you," said Hiccup as he slowly picked himself up.
Back in the spirit world, the Demon King was staring down at Meliodas, Ruby and the Seven Deadly Sins.
"Ragnar, this is your doing," the Demon King growled.
"As much as I wish to take credit am afraid that honour goes to my familiar," said Ragnar gesturing to Skull, who was resting on his shoulder.
"Guilty as charged," said Skull. "I was able to transmit us into Meliodas' spirit world, but alas, we cannot directly intervene, but that does not prevent us from supporting him."
"So we're just a bunch of cheerleaders," Astrid simplified.
Meliodas didn't appear to be listening as he was busy hugging Ruby tightly in his arms.
"How do I look? Did I age a bit in my century in Purgatory?" Meliodas asked smiling.
Ruby merely smiled back with tears in her eyes. "Not at all."
The Demon King then angrily swung his sword at them. "Die!"
Meliodas didn't even turn and nearly flicked his finger, and dark thoughts began puncturing the Demon King all over his body. They struck with enough force that sent him falling to the ground, much to everyone's shock.
"How dare you," said the Demon King.
Everyone was completely stunned by what they had just witnessed. Meliodas' attack hadn't just brought down the Demon King, but it also caused him to bleed. Despite these wounds, the Demon King got back up, though it was clear that he had taken some major damage.
"What is this power?" he groaned.
"Their presence here gives me strength, their belief in me gives me power one like no other," said Meliodas. "You have no chance of winning now!"
In the real world, the Demon King was crying out in anguish and pulled his hand out of Snotlout's chest.
"Such arrogance!" he said as he spun Snotlout around. "You say that I have no chance of winning!"
He then released Snotlout, sending him flying straight into Hiccup, knocking the both of them down. He then realised there was only one way he could win and turned his gaze upon Ruby and the Seven Deadly Sins.
"Well then, I'll just have to cut this off the source and end your power!" he roared.
Both Mael and Ludociel then blocked his path.
"No, you won't!" they said in unison.
"How dare the likes of the Four Archangels defy the will of a god!"
Then his golden hands launch out of his body and up into the air, where they begin to mould into some sort of totem.
"It's not just the Archangels," said Snotlout as he and Hiccup rose backup. "Humanity will be defining you too!"
"You can try and take us down as many times as you like, but we'll just keep getting back up until we stop you!" Hiccup vowed.
"Now, Snatch!" Snotlout yelled, extending his hand up into the air and bringing it back down.
The totem then slammed into the ground, but then Demon King fluid out of nowhere, dealing a powerful elbow crosses his face. Hiccup swung his sword at him, but he quickly blocked it and then punched him in the stomach sending him flying into some rubble.
The totem went back up and flew back up into the air.
"All of you are outsiders; stay out of family business," said the Demon King.
The totem opened its mouth and prepared to fire a powerful beam down at Ruby and the Seven Deadly Sins.
"We have no defence against something like that!" Mael yelled.
The totem then fired at them, and when it made contact, there was a huge explosion that expanded across the entire kingdom. The Demon King could see, however, that Ludociel had created a shield to protect everyone.
"A futile resistance," he said.
"Brother!" Mael cried.
"I will not lose any of them ever again," Ludociel vowed. "Not my brother, nor my friends!"
"Please, you won't last five seconds," the Demon King scoffed.
"Then we'll stop you even faster!" Snotlout roared.
"We'll see about that!" the Demon King roared, dashing towards Hiccup and Snotlout.
He then began swinging his fists at the two of them, but both of them held their ground. Despite the fact they were fighting two-on-one, they were starting to become overwhelmed.
'This is bad,' Hiccup grimaced.
Ludociel was using all his strength to keep the barrier maintained, but it was beginning to wane.
Hiccup could see this clearly. 'Taking everything we've got to fight this steamed, destroyed the all going to…'
To make matters worse, the totem then launched another range of attacks, but then they saw something heading straight towards it.
"Wait, who was that?" said Alvin. "There's someone other than Sir Hiccup and Sir Snotlout that can withstand such an immense power?"
That, someone turned out to be Zeldris, who cut through the attacks with ease before plunging his sword into the totem's head. Not before time, because Ludociel lost his strength in the barrier surrounding them disappeared.
Mael looked up at Zeldris, perplexed. "Zeldris? Why are you…"
"Insolent child!" the Demon King roared furiously. "What do you think you're doing? Answer me!"
Zeldris then withdrew his sword, and the totem disintegrated into strips, landing right in front of the Demon King.
Zeldris then turned and looked down at his father. "I've got pressing business to discuss with Meliodas; it's personal, so I would like for you to leave, father. But first, there's a related matter I would like to ask you about."
The Demon King frowned.
"Tell me, concerning the execution of the Vampire Clan, did you order it knowingly about my relationship with Gelda?"
"You were just a fool that could not recognise a parent's compassion to save his son from illness," said the Demon King.
"What?" said Zeldris confused.
"You are weak and weaknesses and illness. You really for that I might not know? The Commandment that I bestowed to you informed me about everything. How you repeatedly met in secret, you and that vampire maiden that was poisoning your mind and how you defied my orders and sealed the Vampire Clan away instead of executing them."
Zeldris looked down at him, furious.
"What a fool," the Demon King continued. "I even knew you had a ludicrous aspiration that someday you would steal away the throne of the Demon King and create a hell where all can live peacefully. Ridiculous! I tolerated it since you at least have the merit of your submission, but that ends now!"
The strips from the totem from earlier then rose back into the air, forming a completely different one. It then spun like a top heading straight towards Zeldris.
Back in the spirit realm, Meliodas was demonstrating his new power. The Demon King attempted to attack again, but Meliodas merely sent the orcs of darkness at him, and they completely tore against his armour.
"Amazing, I can now see you how you went toe to toe with Sir Hiccup," said Eret.
"Give it to him good!" Heather cheered.
The Demon King attempted to withstand the attack, but it was just too powerful, and he fell to his knees.
"I cannot fathom that darkness of yours," said the Demon King. "It's baffling at how such a thing could manage to pierce through my armour and flesh."
"You have Hiccup to thank for that," Meliodas smiled. "The guy is quite the bookworm, mind you, to be fair, here to keep his mind occupied the last 3,000 years. He read every single book about magic, even the dark stuff and everything he learned, I learned. I can only fathom that he was predicting this day would happen; he always did for far ahead in the future.
Of course, the final key to this spell I learned from observing the Fairy King during that Druid Training Camp. I watched how he managed to condense water droplets and figured I could probably do the same with my darkness, the stuff that Hiccup read taught me how to control my darkness which led us to here.
Also, knowing that everyone is right here for me, even though they don't know me personally, it gives me energy. Thank you all, Fishlegs… Heather… Eret… Astrid… Ragnar… and Ruby. I am fine, thanks to all of you. So let's put an end to this so that we can save Hiccup and Snotlout!"
The Demon King got back to his feet and attempted to swing his sword, but Meliodas spun his concentrated all the darkness into a barrier. The Demon King slammed his sword against trying to break through but only ended up shattering it.
He then stepped forward and tried to assault Meliodas with what remained of it, but he quickly jumped away. The Demon King kept on swinging his blade as many times as he could, but Meliodas always managed to jump to safety.
"Sir Meliodas, listen! I'm a man who's an insufferable pain during the day and useless at night, but for you, I am happy to fight for you until the moment I take my last breath!" Eret vowed. "Sir Hiccup considers you a friend, and any friend of his is a friend of mine!"
"Thanks, Eret!" Meliodas smiled.
"Don't stop, Meliodas," said Ragnar. "If you give up on us even for a moment, we're going to have made good on that promise."
Meliodas shook his head. "Leave it to you to make threats that I like this."
"Hiccup went through a lot of pain to see an end to this Holy War, so you better not let him down!" Astrid yelled.
"Don't plan on it!"
"Meliodas, I know that we don't know one another, but after everything that you and Princess Ruby went through, you deserve a happy ending," said Fishlegs.
"Not just me, but every one of you deserves one as well!"
"You battled against the Seven Deadly Sin's Dragon Sin, the strongest of us! So you better not lose some decrepit old man stuck in his ways!" Heather cheered.
"Oh, how taken down all right," said Meliodas as he flew straight towards his father. "And once we're back to drink all night, all of us together!"
"Meliodas, we will be waiting," Ruby promised.
Meliodas then threw down his concentrated salt of darkness at the Demon King, giving it everything he had.
"And I will be right there," Meliodas promised.
The Demon King lost another one of his horns on his helmet and collapsed to the ground bleeding out.
In the real world, the Demon King was still battling against Hiccup and Snotlout, while Zeldris battled against his dark totem. Ludociel had managed to create another barrier in order to protect the Seven Deadly Sins.
Zeldris began to fend off the totem, which managed to cut his arm. 'Meliodas, I still cannot bring myself to forgive you for betraying the Demon Clan.'
He then attacked the totem again, but his blade bounced off it, and he received a nasty cut across his chest.
'Even so, I have to recognise you for one thing…' The totem then began spinning around him, cutting him from head to toe, causing blood to bleed out. 'Try as I might, I was never able to possess what you possess. The resolve to turn anyone into your enemy for the sake of those important to you.'
Zeldris began to fall and then quickly spread out his wings. "Ominous Nebula!"
He then began creating a powerful vortex to pull the totem towards him. It tried to fight back but was soon caught in the vortex and when it was just a few inches from it disintegrated into dust.
The Demon King had finally managed to overpower Hiccup and Snotlout, killing both of them to the ground.
"I got rid of the nuisance," said Zeldris and looked down towards the Demon King. "Now hurry up and get the Demon King out of Meliodas' body already!"
The Demon King then fired a bolt of red lightning at Zeldris, and everyone was completely shocked as it struck him. Zeldris spat out a large amount of blood, indicating that you had taken quite a lot of heavy damage.
"W-why?" Mael stared as he held his exalted brother in his arms. "Magical attack shouldn't have any sort of effect on Zeldris at all."
"Yes, that's true, but I suppose it's let your mind that power was lent to him by me," said the Demon King.
Zeldris then began to fall as his strength left his body. 'Meliodas… it's in your hands now. You can change everything. It is up to you.'
"You bastard!" Snotlout roared as he began to pick himself up.
Then using all his strength, he managed to break free from the Demon King's grip and struck him across the face.
Hiccup then quickly began punching the Demon King relentlessly. "You are absolutely a terrible father!"
Snotlout then joined in with some blows of his own. "Yeah, how can you do to your son? Your own flesh and blood! Who the hell do you think you are?"
"I'm the Demon King, humans!" the Demon King roared, clenching his fist and striking them. "And those who are weak aren't needed in my lineage!"
"You backstab your own sons, tried to kill the woman they love. Is it any wonder they turned on you!" Hiccup roared, punching him hard in the face with all his strength.
In the spirit world, the Demon King was on his last legs.
"Damn you!" the Demon King cursed. "This is unforgivable!"
"This is the end, Demon King," said Meliodas. "It's time for you to vanish out of me! Trillion Dark!"
His dark orbits began pelting the Demon King all over his body, and there was nothing he could do about it. The Demon King dropped his sword and began screaming in pain and anguish as Meliodas didn't let up his assault.
In the real world, the Demon King was getting beaten up by Hiccup and Snotlout until he was finally brought down.
Even flat on the ground, the Demon King continued screaming and anguish as a dark aura began to cover his body. The rest of the Seven Deadly Sins had woken up as well, and it really looked as if they had won.
However, the Demon King then suddenly shot up into the sky and hit the ground as hard as he possibly could. He then continued this process, again and again, hitting the ground with even more strength.
"Oh, what now?" Snotlout groaned.
"The Demon King is in his last throes, and it appears he wants to take Meliodas with him, too," said Ragnar. "Let's drive him out now."
"We just need to fear your way out on how to stop this lunatic," said Hiccup.
Snotlout wasted no time and charged towards the Demon King. "On top of everything else, you're a sore loser!"
He then caught the Demon King as he flew towards him, and using all his strength, he tossed him up into the air.
"Now, Ark!" Ruby yelled.
"And Perfect Cube!" said Ragnar as he was being supported by Eret.
"And Pollen Garden!" Fishlegs yelled while Astrid held him up.
"Combined Technique: Triple Prison!" the three of them yelled.
All three of their defensive spells then surrounded the Demon King trapping him inside. He attempted to break through it, but it was just too strong.
"Just hang in there," said Heather as she spun her hammer.
The Demon King kept on putting as much pressure as he could on the spell until he finally broke free. He then fell towards the ground with incredible speed and attempted to squash Snotlout, but thankfully he was able to jump out of the way in time.
The Demon King then got his feet, and lightning began to cover his body, but then suddenly, grabbing his arms, were Toothless and Luna and the two of them held him down.
"You're not going anywhere, pal," said Toothless.
"Not if we have anything to say about it," said Luna.
"Care for you two!" Hiccup warned.
"Have some Diamond Tower!" Heather yelled.
Then suddenly erupting from the ground was a massive diamond that struck the Demon King and carried him up into the air.
"I'm leaving the rest to you, Hiccup! Get him!" Heather yelled.
Hiccup then flew up to the top of the tower and looked down at the Demon King with his fist clenched.
"You're through, Demon King! Now it's time to bring Meliodas back!" he roared and punched the Demon King with all his strength.
The blow was so powerful that the Demon King went straight through the tower, splitting it in half. Everyone towards the tower expected something, but they didn't see any movement.
"W-what's happening?" Heather asked.
When the dust finally settled, Meliodas lay there nestled in some diamonds, with the Demon King expelled from his body.
"I feel like crap," he groaned. "Every single inch of my body is banged up."
"We've barely been able to keep ourselves out here," Hiccup groaned.
Everyone laughed, and Ruby brushed away a single tear from her eyes.
"It's good to see, Meliodas, welcome back," she said.
Meliodas just smiled back.
