On a warm Sunday morning in Hugoton, Kansas, inside the Rustbucket, Lincoln and Gwen ate Max's omelets. It was pretty good and wasn't out of the ordinary.
"How are your omelets, Lincoln and Gwen?" said Max
"Taste great, Mr. Tennyson," said Lincoln
"Yeah," said Gwen
"That's good because I put a little extra in them," said Max
Gwen and Lincoln looked at their omelets and saw a small dung beetle sticking out.
Why does grandpa have to make his weird, Gwen thought
Hm I had worse, Lincoln thought as he swallowed the remaining omelets in his mouth
"So what do you kids want to do today?" said Max
"No idea but.."
Gwen got interrupted by an alarm in the cupholder, and a monitor showed an Aztec mask popping out of the cupholder. Max stood up and looked at the front. He became serious.
"Grandpa, what's that mask?" said Gwen
"That Gwen is the Mask of Ah Puch and it's the key to most destrucative on the earth," said Max
Lincoln joined in the conversation, "And what's that?"
"Sword of Ek Chuaj used by the Ek Chuagi, a Mayan god of war who used the sword to wipe out cities and towns.
"That sound dangerous," said Gwen
"It is that reason that no one should have control of the sword; it could be the fate of the world." Max got into the driving seat and pressed a button on the console, and a map of the mask popped up on the windshield.
Knowing the situation, the three drove to Garlic, Texas, where the mask was found, when they arrived at an oil rig tower company building.
"I bet they keep the mask in the basement Lincoln you need to sneak in," said Max
"Um, wouldn't that be breaking and entering?" said Lincoln
"Lincoln this is important no matter what happens the mask be kept out of the wrong hand," said Max with some intensity in his voice
"...Okay."
Lincoln went to his Omnitrix and changed into Big Chill. He turned invisible and phased out of the RV. Gwen asked her grandpa.
"Don't you think you were a little hard on Lincoln, grandpa?"
"I didn't mean too Gwen but this is important,"
. Gwen and Max left the Rustbucket while Big Chill flew toward the building and phased through it until he reached the basement. Finding the basement door on the outside, he opened it, and Gwen and Max were on the other side.
"Good work," said Max walking past Big Chill.
The three walked down the basement hallway. Big Chill whispered to Gwen.
"Have you seen your grandpa this serious?"
"No, I don't ever see my grandpa this serious before."
They go into the room that has a safe in the back of the room.
"This has to be where the mask is kept," said Max.
"Don't worry, Mr. Tennyson, I got this," said Big Chill
He froze the door to the safe and broke it, revealing Ah Puch's mask.
"Isn't it beautiful kids," said Max
"Ah, sure, Grandpa," said Gwen.
Max picked up the mask. "Finally, after years of looking for the mask, it's now in my hand."
"Max, I thought your plumber days were over."
The three turned to see the Forever Knights; two wore gray masks, but one in the middle had a golden one.
"It's those guys who try to catch me in that bank," said Big Chill
"Ah yes but this is different once I take the mask and the whole will be at my hand," said the golden knight
"The mask isn't going anywhere Enoch," said Max
Wait, he knows this guy? Big Chill thought
"That could be a range," Enoch said as two of the other eternal knights took out laser swords.
Before the fight could happen, a guard walked into the room.
"What's going on?" said the guard
Big Chill blasts the forever knights with a cold shot, knocking them knights to the ground.
"Go," said Big Chill to Gwen and Max
Gwen and Max rushed out of the room, with Max knocking the guard to the ground.
The guard pulled out a walkie-talkie and said, "We got thieves in the building. Seal all the doors."
Meanwhile, Enoch pulled a shock collar and threw it under Big Chill's neck, shocking him and making him fall to the ground.
"I'd love to learn more about you, boy, but I've got a mask to catch," Enoch said.
He and his forever knights left the room. Big Chill tried to take it off, but it shocked him. So he froze the collar and broke it into a million pieces.
Okay, that hurt like heck, Big chill thought.
Meanwhile, Max and Gwen tried to get out of the building through the front door, but a guard blocked it. But a grappling hook took the mask from Max's hands, and he looked to see that Enoch had it now.
"Sorry looks like you fail again," said Enoch
He and the other forever knights managed to escape with one exit closed. Max and Gwen managed to run out of the building before they got locked inside. Meanwhile, Lincoln phased out, but the timer on the Omntirx ran out, and he turned back to his usual self and fell into the dumpster.
"Gross," Lincoln mutter getting a can of ban off his head
Then Rustbucket drove up, and Max shot out from the driver's seat.
"Lincoln, get in; you have no time to waste."
Max sped up the RV to catch up with Enoch and his goon in an old classic car with a knight shield on the grill. He turned on the Rustbucket thruster and rammed the back of the vehicle. The forever knight car trunk opened, and the buzzsaw came out. Max then pressed another button to put up a shield against the buzzsaw. Gwen came to Lincoln.
"Is the watch ready yet?"
"No, this still wouldn't let me change." Lincoln looked at the Omnitrix to see it was still red
"I guess it's time to call the plumber," Max said.
He put the RV on autopilot and went to the bathroom with Gwen and Lincoln, having no idea what he was doing. Meanwhile, the forever knight goes behind the Rustbucket, and two climbs out of the car and climb on top of the RV. Max got out of the bathroom in his plumber uniform.
"I'll be right back," said Max
He opened the door and climbed on top of the RV. The two eternal knights drew their swords and attempted to attack Max. One tried to stab Max, but he dodged and tossed him off the RV into the back of a chicken truck. Then Max grabbed the knight's sword and kicked him off the RV, but he clung to the side. Max jumped onto the roof of the forever knight car, used the blade to open the top, and then grabbed Enoch's mask.
"I'll be taking this back," said Max
The forever knight, still holding on, was trying to get into the RV. But Gwen grabbed a fire extinguisher and sprayed the guy off, and he fell off the bridge into the water. Max climbed back into the RV's driver's seat and deactivated the autopilot. He looked to see a sign for Mexico before getting away from Enoch.
I'm so close. Max thought
Unfortunately for Max, his RV broke down, and he has difficulty repairing it without becoming frustrated.
"Wrong wrench," said Max throwing down on the ground
Lincoln and Gwen looked at Max from the side and commented on his change of attitude.
"What's happening to your grandpa, Gwen? I have never seen him like this," said Lincoln
"It must be the sword it's like became obsessed with it," said Gwen
She picked up the mask, and the eyes started to glow.
"Um grandpa?" said Gwen
"What is it, Gwen? I'm kind of busy," said Max.
"Mr. Tennyson you want to see this," said Lincoln
Max came out of the RV and saw the mask project a hologram of a temple.
"I'm sure the Temple of Ek Chuaji is nearby. We don't have time to lose," said Max
In the jungle, Gwen and Max were carried by Rath, who ran through the woods.
"Can you go any faster, Lincoln?" said Max
"Let me tell you something Mr. Tennyson this about fast I go with this load," said Rath
Then Gwen looked and saw the temple, saying, "We're close."
Then Rath turned back into Lincoln, and they flew to the ground. They picked themselves up and hid behind the brushes to see the forever knights trying to get in using explosives.
Enoch screamed at his man, "Try again this time with the C4!"
"There must be another way in," said Max
Gwen peered through the mask and saw an entrance to the temple on the other side.
"Grandpa there's another way in," said Gwen
"Well let's get going," said Max
Max and Lincoln followed Gwen to a secret entrance to the temple. The door opened, and the passage was dark. Max pulled out a flashlight, and there was a staircase. They started to walk down the stairs until they reached the end, where they stepped onto a wooden platform.
"We need to be careful because the temple might have…."
Before Max could finish his sentence, Lincoln grabbed a rope from the wooden platform and broke it apart.
"Traps!" Max screamed
As the three ran down the platform as it fell apart, Lincoln tried to get the Omnitrix to work, but it wouldn't. Max quickly grabbed Lincoln and Gwen. He pulled out a grappling hook, shot it to a ledge, and swung him, Lincoln, and Gwen off the platform and to the ground safely.
"That was close," said Lincoln
"Yeah," said Gwen
"No time to rest we gotta keep moving," said Max heading forward
"You know if I could eat his strange food I would get back my grandpa before this," said Gwen
"I agree we just get stupid sword and get out of here," said Lincoln
Reaching a large doorway to the sword, all Max had to put the mask into a socket to open it. Then two forever knight goons grabbed Gwen, and Lincoln Enoch stepped forward and caught Max's attention.
"What is it going to be, Max, the children of the mask?" said Enoch
Knowing what was important, Max dropped the mask, and Enoch picked it up.
"Good choice. Now you get to die together."
Before Enoch told Max, the Forever Knights had the three near an endless pit, ready to push them off.
"It's a shame, Max, that you won't see how I saved the world from itself and became the leader it needed."
Max scoffed at him. The forever knights then pushed the three down the pit; luckily, the Omntirx was ready to be used. He changes into Waterhazard, catches Max and Lincoln, shoots a significant amount from his right hand, blasting the wall, and gets out of the pit and back on top.
"Are you guys okay?" said Max.
"We're fine grandpa," said Gwen
Max sighed and looked at Gwen and Waterhazard, "I almost got you two killed over my obsession with the sword and forgot that you two are more important than the sword; can you two forgive me?"
Gwen smiled and, looking at Waterhazard, nodded in agreement. "We forgive you."
A giant monster screamed, catching the three's attention. They ran toward the entrance, where the mask was. They saw a big gray monster wearing old clothing fighting the forever knights.
"What is that?" said Gwen
"That must be Ah Puch the guardian of the sword," said Max
Waterhazard noticed Enoch sneaking up the top stone platform, where the sword of Ek Chuaj was, and he was attempting to obtain the sword. He blasted Enoch full of hot water and slipped down the platform.
"Lincoln keeps the monster distracted while we get the sword away from Enoch," said Max
"Got it."
Waterhazard blasted Ah Puch with his water, getting his attention, and the two fought. Ah, Puch grabbed him and threw him into the temple. Then Waterhazard used his water power to blast himself over and punch the monster in the face. Gwen and Max noticed her move toward the sword. Enoch was right behind them. He ran past them, knocked Max out of the way, and grabbed the sword.
"At least the sword is mine," said Enoch.
But then the sword turned into dust,t and the temple began to fall apart. Ah, Puch turned his attention toward Enoch and rushed at him Waterharzard couldn't do anything when he turned back to Lincoln. Max and Gwen got off the platform and began to run.
"We're getting out of here Lincoln," said Gwen
Lincoln ran as the temple collapsed. The three were made out of the temple as it crumbled apart.
"I think that's enough excitement for one day," said Lincoln
"Yeah I gotta do one thing," said Max
"What's that?" said Gwen
"I need to get out of this uniform; it's just too tight for me now."
Gwen and Lincoln laughed as this day finally came to a close.
