At Berk, Gilthunder, Ake and Gael were drinking merrily over the defeat of the Demon King.

"I can't believe it. The Holy War is finally over!" said Ake.

"That's right, the Demon King was defeated," Gilthunder smiled. "The people of the continent are finally safe and can live without fear of the Demon Race."

"I was alive to see a god brought down; wow," said Ake. "You know, I wonder what kind of era we're going to be in next."

"A calm era piece, of course."

"You think so, huh?" said a voice. Their eyes immediately turned to the door, and to their surprise, they found Vivian standing at the doorway. "Sorry to say, but an imbalance of light and dark only leads one way. An age of chaos is about to begin."

The three of them quickly rose to their feet, knocking the table over in their haste, causing all the food and drink to fall to the floor.

"Hey, long time no see, Gil," Vivian smiled.

"Vivian? What the heck are you doing here?" Gilthunder stared.

"Why don't you stop this and give up on Gil already," said Ake.

Gilthunder looked at her, confused. "I thought you had been killed by Ludociel?"

"Oh yes, your memory serves you well. In those heavenly ruins, my life was cut short by an angel sword, but then I came back to life by the immortal Phoenix!" she said, dancing around. "Through the power of love."

"That really doesn't explain anything," said Ake.

"While I was down and losing consciousness, his thick and sturdy arms held me and kept me safe all the while he passionately and desperately called out to me over and over!"

Gael looked immensely embarrassed, though Ake had no idea why.

"Don't die, Vivian; we can't lose a woman like you. The continent could not take it! No, it is I. He couldn't take it, he uttered," said Vivien dreamily as he poured about Calder.

"Sir Calder said that?" said Ake, not sure he could believe it.

"He did say he thought it was too cruel, but after that, all he did was have Alvin cast Recovery Magic," Gilthunder explained.

"However, it was my Dad who treated her here afterwards," Gael admitted.

Gilthunder and Ake stared at him in disbelief, and he quickly pulled in towards him.

"He said since this woman did so much wrong, he didn't think it was wise to nurse her back to health in the castle. He also pitied her and could let her die."

"I felt so idolised, and on top of everything else, the blessing magic of the Angels even lifted the awful curse that inflicted my skin. Lucky me, right?"

"That's what they call the Devils luck," Ake muttered under his breath.

"And I'm sorry," said Vivien, then suddenly appeared and aside Gilthunder. "But I'm over you now, Gil dear. This whole experience has taught me the meaning of true love. Which is rather than chase after another, a woman should be worshipped!"

Everyone was pretty sure that was not the meaning of true love, but at the same time, they were going to disagree with her.

"Well, it looks like you're off the hook Gil," said Ake; he then noticed Gilthunder's solemn look. "Gil, don't tell me all that stalking made you have feelings for Vivian?"

Gilthunder responded by punching him in the chest. "Of course not!"

Vivian then approached Gael. "Oh, and you can call me Mum from now on, Gael."

Gael looked immensely frustrated but said nothing.

"Vivian, what did you mean by what you said earlier?" Gilthunder asked. "About there being an age of chaos?"

"Oh, I'm not exactly sure, to be honest," she admitted. "But it was something that Ragnar used to say all the time. When the balance between light and dark breaks down, it will mark the end of the Age of the Gods, and chaos will turn. Then the world will be reborn."

Hiccup and the others were busy celebrating in the castle as well as drinking to Eret and all those they had lost in the war.

Strangely Ragnar was all by himself, looking out towards the horizon.

Ruby noticed this and approached him. "Hey, Ragnar, is there any reason you're all by yourself?"

"Just contemplating," he said.

"What about?" Heather asked, approaching him. "Thinking about our wedding?"

Ragnar gave a small chuckle. "It is one of the things I'm contemplating, yes. Just thinking that we are about to enter in a whole new era, one without the Demon King. I can't say for certain, but I imagine the Supreme Deity is planning her next move."

"My mother?" Ruby blinked.

"You're not saying that she's going to do us harm, but we fought on the side of the Angels," said Heather confused.

"Yes, but that doesn't mean that she wanted the war to be over. After all, if peace truly been on her mind, she would not have cursed her own daughter just performing love with a Demon as was the one that brought them together."

Ruby frowned. "I thought she cursed us because she disapproved of the match."

"If that had been the only reason, she could just simply disown you rather than inflict you with such a terrible curse. You have to admit she was in exactly the motherly kind, any more than the Demon King was a true father to Meliodas."

"I hope you're not suggesting that we're going to be fighting against the Supreme Deity next," said Astrid folding her arms as she joined them. "We barely faced off against the Demon King, and now you're planning for an attack from another god?"

Ragnar smiled. "True enough, we won a major victory, and we should be celebrating, not making plans for the next fight."

"Yeah, enough doom and gloom; we've already had enough of that," said Fishlegs.

Astrid placed a hand on his shoulder. "Eret wouldn't want us to be sad; he would want us to live on to the fullest."

"So what you say we start drinking until we're dead drunk?" said Meliodas.

"I think Snotlout is already there," said Hiccup.

Snotlout approached them, looking as if he was about to fall over at any moment. "What are you talking about? I can still stand."

"It is really sad to think about Eret," said Heather. "But now there's hope, and everyone has the chance to live out their happy life. By using all the power from his Demon King heritage, Meliodas doesn't have to go back to the Demon Realm, and Ruby's curse has been lifted too. Snotlout resurrected Shanna, and now they can finally get the chance to be together.

Hiccup and Astrid are now back together, and even better, Astrid has a real body back. Fishlegs went through a full transformation and became the Fairy King. And, of course, Ragnar asked me to marry him."

"Though he could have chosen a more romantic time," Hiccup admitted.

"There's a chance all of us were going to die; I needed to get it off my chest," Ragnar shrugged.

"I admit I am curious why you chose to marry me?" Heather frowned. "I mean, you have been around several other women besides me, haven't you?"

"I won't deny that," said Ragnar as he drank his wine. "But none of them had the caring heart you possess. To be honest, I feel as if I'm not worthy of you."

"Why would you say that? Of course, you are?" Heather frowned.

Hiccup looked at him curiously. "Rag, you and me go away way back. You helped me out plenty of times and never asked for anything in return."

"That's true. You always seem to help people out from the goodness of your heart," said Snotlout as Shanna tried to shake him out of his drunkenness.

"Not completely out of the goodness of my heart; I do have my reasons," Ragnar admitted. "And now the Holy War finally finished; I think it's time for all of you to find out what they are. As my trusted fellow comrades in arms."

He then snapped his fingers.

Suddenly all of them, apart from Shanna, found themselves back where they battled the Demon King.

"Everyone, look there!" Ruby pointed. They turned and were rather surprised to find a Black Dragon parked close by. "It's the Black Dragon."

"And the magical lake, too," Meliodas added.

"Now it's time for us to begin," said Ragnar.

"Rag, what is it you trying to do?" Hiccup asked.

"I'm going to awaken Gustav."

"For real?" Hiccup blinked.

Ragnar flew high into the air and began chanting, and a portal soon appeared in front of him. Then floating out of it was Gustav, who was still impaled with the legendary sword.

"Gustav," said Cath as he watched Gustav flying out of the portal.

Ragnar then floated Gustav directly over the lake.

"Wait a minute, did he say awaken Gustav," said Heather. "Does that mean he plans on resurrecting him? I'm confused."

"To be honest, I don't know either," said Hiccup.

"One thing I do know is he's not going to be very happy when he see's me," said Meliodas.

"There they are!"

"You guys took your sweet time getting here!"

They spun around and saw approaching them were Ruffnut and Tuffnut.

"Ruff? Tuff?" Hiccup blinked.

"They were the only ones waiting," said Toothless as he and Luna flew down from the Black Dragon.

"Have you guys been out here this entire time?" Fishlegs blinked.

"Guess we were so preoccupied mourning Eret we failed to notice you were missing," Heather admitted.

"You know we came all this way to help you guys out, but we arrived a little late," said Luna.

"By the time we got here, you've already defeated the Demon King and vanished," said Toothless.

"Then why are you guys still here?" Astrid asked. "Can you take on the Black Dragon all the way back to Berk?"

"We tried, but it's like it breaks up fully on," said Tuffnut.

Ruffnut looked at Hiccup, slightly annoyed. "And we thought he was some kind of genius."

"That's strange," said Hiccup looking at the Black Dragon. "It should be doing that. I guess I'll take a look later."

"So, uh, what's going on here?" Toothless asked.

"We're as clueless as you guys are," said Meliodas.

They all turned towards Ragnar, who was still floating above the lake, levitating Gustav above it.

"I have followed your revelation, and now everything is in place," said Ragnar as if he was talking to someone. "Priestess, are you ready as well?"

"Priestess?" Heather blinked, confused. "Who in the world is Ragnar talking to?"

"No clue," said Astrid.

"It seems the time has come to welcome him to your and our master," said a voice from the lake.

"Who said that?" said Toothless.

"I don't know if it's because I'm drunk, but is the lake glowing?" Snotlout asked.

"Gustav, I came to realise that I was wrong," said Ragnar. "The sword wasn't something to do me you to death; it was the key to the next new stage of your magnificent existence."

Suddenly a beam of light shot out of the lake and struck Gustav.

"The time has come, key; use the magic that feels the lake beneath as an open the door!" Ragnar commanded.

They then all heard the sound of a key turning in an ancient lock, and then suddenly, a massive surge of magic erupted out of Gustav. The entire area was then covered by a massive cloud of dust hiding everything from view.

"W-what was that just now?" Ruby asked.

"Hey, look!" said Snotlout, who had sobered up now.

They looked up and saw Gustav regaining consciousness.

"No way! He's alive again!" Heather gasped.

"I don't think he was dead, to begin with," said Hiccup.

"You mean he was in a coma like you were?" said Astrid.

Hiccup shook his head. "No, I think it was something else."

Meliodas remained silent; there was something about this he did not like, and he wasn't certain what Gustav's response would be when he saw him.

"W-what have I been doing up till now?" Gustav asked, confused.

"Of all the races, humans are the most contradictory," said Ragnar. "Possessing both the good and evil of light and dark. A contradiction is no different from chaos; in fact, it may be chaos in its purest form. Meaning a human who has been chosen by the priestess of chaos is certainly of he who commands chaos."

Gustav looked as if he was in immense pain.

"Gustav is acting rather strangely," Ruby noted.

"Ragnar, what is wrong with Gustav?" Hiccup demanded.

"Nothing is wrong; I told you from the beginning my goal was to awaken him to become the King of Chaos," Ragnar reminded him.

"What's happening to me? To my body?" Gustav groaned in pain.

"Don't be afraid; embrace it, Gustav. The time has finally come to awaken the immeasurable magical power within you."

Gustav opened his eyes, and his right eye was now completely dark. "What? What are you saying? Help me, Ragnar, it hurts."

Suddenly his left eye turned dark, and he began crying out in pain.

"What in the world is going on?" Toothless asked.

"I was hoping you would know," said Luna.

"Uh, shouldn't we do something to help?" Tuffnut.

"Like what?" Ruffnut asked.

"When the king awakens, he will release the seal on chaos. Chaos will return home to the King," said Ragnar.

Gustav cried out in anguish, and the Black Dragon began to shake abruptly.

Hiccup immediately took on his Dragonborn form and flew up to him. "Gustav, hold on!"

"Wait, for me!" Meliodas yelled something in his wings and followed him.

Gustav noticed them for the first time, but his eyes immediately fell upon Meliodas.

"Why are you here?" he said, still in pain. "Meliodas of the Demon Race, you are not welcome! I will not allow the Demon to have their way upon this land!"

Then suddenly, everything turned dark and then what appeared around them was beyond description. The only way to describe it was pure chaos.

There were twisted buildings and strangely misshapen creatures. If that wasn't distressing enough, the entire ground had vanished.

"W-what is all this?" Heather asked.

"And where are we?" Ruby asked.

"I don't know, but the ground is gone," said Tuffnut looking over the twisted pillar they were standing on and noticing a lack of ground.

"Everything is so twisted," said Fishlegs.

"Is everyone okay?" Fishlegs asked, floating towards them.

"More or less," said Astrid.

"There was a little distressing," said Toothless.

"That's putting it lightly," said Luna.

The three of them were standing on the pillar sides.

"How are you guys standing there?" Heather asked, bewildered.

"No clue," said Astrid.

They then heard the sound of a bell.

"Hallucination is crazy," said Ruffnut.

"It looks so real," said Tuffnut.

"That's because it is real," said Astrid.

Hiccup and Meliodas were currently flying over what seemed to be a sea of clouds.

"Ragnar, is this your doing?" Meliodas asked.

Then suddenly, shooting out of the sea, was a building with a mouth and a man's body. The two of them were caught completely by surprise and fell into the sea. The strange creature then raised its right hand, which was an anchor and chain, and swung it down at them.

Snotlout then shot out of nowhere and grabbed the two of them before the anchor struck them.

"You guys need to be careful; another we going to be round the saviour sorry hides," he said as they floated upwards.

"Actually, I think Gustav is aiming for you, Meliodas," said Hiccup as plans shot out of the clouds and eels was flew out of them and towards them.

Meliodas quickly used his demonic power to cut them to pieces.

"Meliodas, you put the life of a person I respected in danger," said Gustav's voice.

"That voice?" said Meliodas looking around for the source. "Is that you, Gustav?"

Then suddenly, everything turned black.

"I looked up to Sir Hiccup, and now he's gone," said Gustav. "Why? Why? Why?"

Gustav began to cry but then felt putting their hands over his, and that someone was Hiccup.

"Listen to me, Gustav," said Hiccup gently. "I'm awake once more, and it was not Meliodas' fault. That is the truth."

Ragnar then appeared next to Hiccup. "You need to calm your heart and don't let your powers consume you."

Gustav's eyes returned to normal as he looked at the two of them. Sir Hiccup? Ragnar?"

Suddenly everything returned to normal.

"Whoa, everything is back to normal," said Ruffnut.

"Or as normal as things get around here," said Tuffnut.

"Are you okay?" Ruby asked, approaching Meliodas.

"Yeah, I'm totally fine," Meliodas assured her.

"So what exactly was all that?" Ruby asked.

"I think we just saw Gustav's magic."

Ragnar then lowered Gustav to the ground, and he was rather embarrassed about his loss of control. "That was a huge mistake, one for the history books. I'm sorry is not enough to cover it, but I am, and to be honest, my head is still kinda mess right now."

"You didn't do anything wrong," Hiccup assured him.

"And to be honest, I'm the one who should be apologising," said Meliodas.

"No, no, you didn't do anything at all," said Gustav quickly. "Though I'm still a little confused because it seems as if I've missed quite a lot."

"That would be an understatement," said Astrid.

Meliodas then turned his gaze upon Ragnar. "Now, there's something I want to ask you, Ragnar. What did you do to Gustav, and what do you mean by chaos?"

Ragnar sighed. "Chaos… it's a simultaneous you, pure and un-pure entity. Even the Demons fear its darkness, and even the angels worship its light. Its power is immense, and it is believed with a single intention it was about this world and all the races from nothingness, that would include the Demon King and the Supreme Deity. This led the Wise Men of Antiquity to call it the Mother of Chaos. Gustav, you command Chaos that makes you the king that leads the people of this continent into a new world."

"Huh, I'm the what?" Gustav stared. "I'm not falling what you're saying here."

"That makes two of us," said Hiccup. "Why would you waken a power that is just as much of a curse as it is a blessing? What exactly do you want? If this is your wish, I don't understand it."

"My wish, huh?" said Ragnar as if Hiccup had said something funny.

"Allow me to answer that question on Ragnar's behalf," said a voice that sounded as if it was coming from the lake. "I'll tell you of the wish made by a lonely wizard who wanted the land in search of Chaos."

"And just who is it who's talking?" Hiccup asked. "Come out and show yourself."

"I'm afraid you'll have to pardon me for that, for I cannot part from this lake."

"This whole thing is getting really fishing," said Snotlout.

Then a dark shadow appeared within the lake. "I am the one that is wrought from Chaos. The ancients called me the Lady of the Lake, but I am also known as the Priestess of Chaos."

"The Lady of the Lake?" Gustav frowned. "Where have I… Oh, yeah, you're the one who gave the Holy Sword to Stoick the Vast."

"My father did mention getting the sword from a being residing within the lake, but he made no mention to Chaos," said Hiccup. "I've also been around for 3,000 years, and not once have I ever heard of any being of Chaos. Not Ragnar, not from anyone."

"Of course, you haven't, and there is a reason for that," she admitted. "For the past 3,000 years, he has been here hiding it from you and everyone else."

All eyes then immediately fell upon Ragnar, who just stood there in silence.

"Ragnar, Something that big a secret from us?" Heather gasped.

"Why would you do that?" Astrid asked.

Ragnar just continued to remain silent.

"Out with it," Meliodas demanded.

"Let me tell you a story of aeons past," said the priestess. "Long ago on the continent, there existed a capital where the superior Wisemen of humanity lived called Belialuin. There on the pretext of researching the ultimate magic, but we are to serve as weapons against the high-ranking Demons and Angels. Human children who possessed an attitude the magic were experimented on as test subjects.

Among them was a child from the union of an angel and a human who possessed the strongest and unique magic. That child was Ragnar, from but he was born a prodigy with talent and wit which far surpassed the wise men of the capital.

But inside, he was nothing more than a child lusting to be loved. Alas, all the wise men would give him was reading material and tests. Sick of it all, he ran away one day, and that is when he met a boy from a tribe known to have the hearts of humans but the souls of dragons. His name was Hiccup, son of the chieftain of the Dragonborn, the defenders of humanity.

They instantly formed a friendship, and for the first time in his life, Ragnar felt loved. To make their friendship even stronger, Ragnar abandoned his form as a little boy and recreated himself as an adult. The two of them went on adventures together, and he introduced him to a world he never knew.

He introduced him to his beloved Astrid, Ruby of the Angel Clan and Meliodas of the Demon race. It was then that all of them agreed that they would put an end to the animosity between the Angels and Demons to bring an end to the Holy War so that everyone would know peace.

Sadly it was not to be; both the Demon King and the Supreme Deity did not want peace and instead started the Holy War. Astrid was killed defending a group of Demons from the Archangel Mael. Then Hiccup, Ruby and Meliodas were cursed by the two deities making sure that they would suffer.

The love that Ragnar had found was completely snuffed away, and so he returned to his home in Belialuin, and that was when he first heard of Chaos. Overhearing what the Wisemen had to say about Chaos, saying that it was an ancient and driving force that had existed since the dawn of time.

He continued to research on Chaos, discovering that he was it that created the world, birthing the Supreme Deity, the Demon King and its bird offspring, the Sacred Tree. The Supreme Deity created the Celestial Realm and the Angel Race… The Demon King created the Demon Realm and the Demon Race… and the Sacred Tree created the Fairy Realm and its Fairy Race.

Chaos then created the fourth race, the Giants, but they were savage and power-hungry and harmed one another. Disappointed Chaos created humans. Kindness and cruelty… bravery and cowardice… love and loathing… beauty and crudeness… everything went into them; though incomplete, they were perfect and came to the closest to Chaos.

In light of such perfect work, the two gods were filled with jealousy and dread. They feared that the love and respect that the only races devoted to them would be stolen by their creator Chaos. So the supreme Deity and the Demon King worked together to seal Chaos away. Upon hearing of this treachery, Ragnar spent the next 3,000 years aiming to resurrect Chaos. He believed that if he revived Chaos, given rise to virtually endless possibilities, that his lusting heart would finally be filled."

Everyone stared at Ragnar, who remained silent and showed no emotion, eyes widened and openmouthed.

"Ragnar…" said Hiccup softly.
