Taeyeon is looking for a girlfriend.

It's Friday today, and as usual, she's in need of a girlfriend for the week.

Finding a girl is not as easy as it seems for Taeyeon. There comes a lot of time and effort for this player. While others like to be with a chick that has a pretty face, Taeyeon likes to research about a girl before actually deeming her worthy to be her girlfriend.

"Here's the list of all the female students with blood type O."

Taeyeon takes the small stack of paper out of Jessica's hands and allows her eyes to roam through each profile.

"Too tall. Too skinny. Too weird-looking." Taeyeon carelessly tosses the dismissed sheets to the ground.

"Yah! What do you think you're doing, littering the school garden like this?!"

Jessica and Taeyeon's heads turn up to see a girl of 5'3 glaring down at them with her hands against her hips.

"Who's that?" Taeyeon asks into Jessica's ear as her eyes move up and down. She likes what she sees—lots of curves.

"Hwang Tiffany. Student body president." Jessica replies with a yawn as she gets up from the grass and pats down her shorts. "I'm gonna head to the library to sleep. See you later, Taengoo."

"Later." Taeyeon responds absentmindedly, never once taking her eyes off of Tiffany.

"Pick those papers up. I will not allow this school's image to be soiled like this." The girl named Tiffany demands of Taeyeon.

"How do you know I did it?" Taeyeon stands up and smiles a little because they're almost the same height.

"I just saw you throw those sheets." Tiffany rolls her eyes and clenches her fingers at the garden hose. Idiots are everywhere at this school. If Tiffany were principal, she'd only accept the elite students.

"Maybe you need to get your eyes checked, because I don't remember ever doing that." Taeyeon reaches up to Tiffany's face and rubs her cheek with her thumb.

Tiffany flinches away. "Don't touch me." She bites out.

Taeyeon notices the blood rushing up to the president's cheeks. "Your blood type is O, isn't it?"

"So what if it is?" The garden hose is now discreetly aimed toward Taeyeon.

With a loud sigh, Taeyeon acts as if she's devastated as she marches up to Tiffany and grabs her upper arms. With one clean swoop, she has Tiffany where she wants her.

The latter yelps and attempts to free herself but Taeyeon, who is the captain of the Taekwondo club, is much stronger.

"Y-You…!" Tiffany stammers but the word 'rapist' is caught in her throat as Taeyeon captures her lips with her own.

When Taeyeon's body presses up against Tiffany's, the hose sets off, creating an umbrella of droplets over them.

The Notebook kiss has got nothing on them.

"I guess you have to be my girlfriend now." Taeyeon says as she pulls back.

"Hm?" Tiffany's hooded eyes flutter open. She feels hot everywhere and everything just looks faded and blurry. Her heart is pounding against her chest like a drum. It's an unusual feeling.

"I said you're my girlfriend, Hwang Tiffany." Taeyeon pecks the still dazed girl on the lips, just because it feels nice. "For the week.

"You think she's mad about something?" Yuri whispers to Yoona as they're doing a hundred push-ups.

Taeyeon stormed in during practice a few minutes ago and ordered them to do push-ups and sit-ups.

"No way. Taeyeon is always cool and collected. She's never angry." Yoona, who has always looked up to her older cousin answers confidently, until Taeyeon suddenly punches through a block of wood. "Never mind. She's pissed."

"I wonder what happened."

Taeyeon, who can hear their conversation, is getting more upset by the second, because now she's recalling what had happened earlier.

And it's all Tiffany Hwang, student body president's fault.

Moments ago, when Taeyeon was trying to kiss Tiffany again, the girl finally broke out of her trance and turned her head away.

"S-Stop."

"Stop?" Taeyeon's eyebrows scrunch together in confusion. Did this girl seriously just say the word 'stop' to Kim Taeyeon?

Kim Taeyeon, the captain of the Taekwondo doesn't just crush her opponents on the mat, but also her admirers' hearts. She's a heartthrob with a confident aura despite having a cute button-nose and a baby face.

"Yes." Tiffany looks away in embarrassment.

"But I'm Kim Taeyeon." Taeyeon doesn't feel the need to convince Tiffany any other way. Just mentioning her name should make the girl go weak for her.

Because she's Kim-Tae-Yeon for god's sakes.

"So?"

Taeyeon feels like dropping to the ground. Tiffany's one word replies might just give her a heart attack because it's confusing the hell out of her.

"So… we're girlfriends now and I'm allowed to kiss you if I want to." Taeyeon explains very slowly as she tries to reach for Tiffany's hand but fails to because Tiffany avoids her touch.

Tiffany tucks a stray hair behind her ear, now looking shy and awkward. Tiffany usually has a strong demeanor, but in truth, she's a closet romancer. Love stories, romance films and novels, Tiffany is all over that. It's a guilty pleasure of hers, which might have affected the way she sees love, particularly her imaginary love story with that special someone.

"But you have to woo me first. Isn't that how it usually goes before two people decide to be a couple?"

"Huh?" It's as if Tiffany is speaking in a foreign language to her. Taeyeon is tempted to shake her to bring her back to today's era.

"I'm not going to be your girlfriend until you court me, Kim Taeyeon." Tiffany puts her foot down at that. She might have skipped a step because Taeyeon caught her off guard and kissed her, but everything else has to go accordingly.

Just the thought of Taeyeon wooing her brought butterflies to her stomach. She might have had a horrible impression of this litterbug at the beginning, but that kiss seems to have changed everything. Looking at the blonde right now, Tiffany is absolutely positive that she's physically attracted to her.

"C-Court you?" Taeyeon is no longer amused by this dark-haired beauty as she frowns at her. "Did you not hear me? I'm Kim Taeyeon."

"And I'm Hwang Tiffany." Tiffany crosses her arms and cocks her head to the side. "Either you try to win my heart or we should just go our separate ways right now."

Taeyeon scoffs out loud because the student body president has obviously been watching too many romance movies. Does she actually think Kim Taeyeon does this courting crap over some stranger?

This girl is so not worth it. A big, red, imaginary fail is already stamped on Tiffany's forehead.

"Forget it. You're no longer my girlfriend." With that said, Taeyeon walks away, never once looking back at the girl whose sweet lips have left a tingling sensation on her own.

"Did I say you guys could stop?" Taeyeon barks at the group. Most of them have already dropped to the floor from exhaustion.

"Taeyeon, can I talk to you for a second?" Yoona timidly walks over to the scowling Taeyeon and pulls her away from the other members. "Taeyeon, you're not being your usual self. Did something happen? You can tell me if you want, I'm all ears."

Tiffany happened.

But Taeyeon wasn't going to answer with that to Yoona. Because she was the older one, she had to set a good example.

Taeyeon sighs, realizing that she hasn't been a good role model. "I'm sorry, I've just been a little stressed over something. It's not a big deal, I'm sorry for taking it out on you guys. I'm okay now, really." Taeyeon pats Yoona's head despite having to tiptoe to do so.

"Okay." Yoona brightly acknowledges that her cousin has returned to her old self.

However, Taeyeon's normal self is short-lived and she's back to dogging everyone around her when Monday comes around.

She's not upset because she doesn't have a girlfriend for the week. Actually, she'd rather not think of girlfriends for a while after being rejected by her, but for some reason, Tiffany has been bombarding her mind all weekend, and especially today.

No one likes sloppy seconds unless it's Taeyeon's. Apparently, someone had caught wind of Tiffany and Taeyeon's 'relationship' and now everyone wants of a piece of the student body president. Grumpily, Taeyeon has to hear about Tiffany everywhere she goes.

"Just go for it. Tiffany's sitting right there."

Curiosity got the better of her as Taeyeon stops walking and silently watches as a male student gets nudged by his friend before finally gathering up the courage to walk over to where Tiffany is diligently writing in her journal.

"Tiffany?"

The president looks up at the flustered looking boy. "Yes? How can I help you?"

"Can I have some water? Because I've been running through your mind all day."

Badum tss.

Taeyeon snorts and leans against a tree, watching in amusement as more and more students flock around Tiffany to flirt and gain her attention.

She's enjoying it way too much as she quietly laughs over them embarrassing themselves and looking like complete idiots. The laughter gets louder each second, and some passerby students have even looked at her funny.

"Tiffany, you dropped something." Female student with the tight skirt sexily bends down to pick up air from the ground. "My heart. Please keep it in a safe place."

That's when Taeyeon heels over and literally rolls on the floor laughing. They don't know the meaning of flirting.

"Tiffany-ssi."

Taeyeon stops laughing and sits up, eyeing the male who is not wearing their school colored uniform. He looks familiar to her, like she's seen him somewhere. But where?

"I heard Taeyeon dumped you. Don't worry, I'm here and I can make you happy."

It feels like time is slowing down as Taeyeon witnesses him giving Tiffany a kiss on her cheek.

That's when Taeyeon's off the ground and rushing toward them. That's when she finally remembers he's the guy that she had defeated at last week's match. That's when Kim Taeyeon flips this loser and slams her foot on his chest, because this dipshit just kissed her girl.

Taeyeon thought she was just watching for entertainment, but she realizes now that it's to look out for what's hers. You can flirt with Tiffany all you want, but you can't touch her.

"Kim Taeyeon!" Tiffany is holding Taeyeon's shoulders, trying to push her off of the blue-turning boy.

Taeyeon grins. "That's my name." She's so cute when she's mad.

Somehow, Tiffany's hands have moved from her shoulders to her waist in a hugging position. Since they're hugging, Taeyeon would prefer doing so without an unconscious dude under her foot so she moves them away with Tiffany's back pressed against a tree, not just any tree, the tree where they had first met.

"Let go of me." Tiffany demands in a whisper as her eyes are focused on Taeyeon's chin.

Should she tell her? "Your arms are around me, Tiffany."

A dark blush creeps up Tiffany's cheeks as she slowly loosens her fingers from Taeyeon's waist.

Damn, she's adorable.

Taeyeon is tempted to kiss her again, but then she's sure she'd be rejected by Tiffany again.

Taeyeon knows she can't skip a step around this girl. With a sigh, Taeyeon grabs Tiffany's hands and gives her a hard look with her lips pursed in a thin line. She can't believe she's actually doing this.

I'm Kim Taeyeon, dammit!

But then her eyes meet this eyesmiling beauty and a smile creeps on her face because this girl is not just anyone, she's Hwang Tiffany.

"Tiffany…"

Tiffany tenses up and her breath hitches when Taeyeon inches closer to her.

"This courting, wooing thing you want me to do, I'll do it."

"Really?" Tiffany's eyes sparkle excitedly.

Taeyeon smiles at this, no longer annoyed by Tiffany's one-word responses.

Taeyeon bends down and plucks a rose from the bush as she winks. "Yes."

Instead of blushing and going gaga over Taeyeon's romantic gesture as she would expect, Tiffany's face turns bright red with anger?

"Did you know how hard it was for me to grow these?!" Tiffany plucks the flower out of Taeyeon's hand and marches away.

What was that about?!

Taeyeon groans, ignoring the students who are gaping at their encounter.

Courting Hwang Tiffany is going to be harder than it looks, even for Kim Taeyeon.

.

.

"Put me down, right now!" Tiffany, who is being carried over Taeyeon's shoulder, is kicking and screaming, but Taeyeon continues to whistle to Lion Heart and enter the student body's room.

"Uh, what's going on?" The other members surround Tiffany now that she has been gently propped onto a chair.

"I want to take Tiffany to court." Taeyeon responds as she slams her hands on the table for dramatic effect.

"What?!" Tiffany bolts up as her eyes widen.

"And I want you guys to assemble it." Taeyeon lets out a pitiful sniff. "I've been wronged, and now justice needs to be served."

"Okay, sure. We're not doing anything anyways."

Tiffany stares at Sooyoung incredulously. This lazy bum who does nothing but flip her hair every minute did not just agree to this crap without first consulting with her—the president.

"Yes! I've been studying up on law. I want to be the judge." Sunny pipes in as she hurries over to her backpack to pull out a white, curly wig.

Once the desks and seating have been arranged, the mock trial commences. Despite Tiffany's unwillingness, her authority is ineffective when it's five people versus one of her.

Taeyeon draws a frown from her lips and stares innocently at the 'judge' and 'jury.' "I guess I'll start. So, I Kim Taeyeon have agreed to capture Tiffany's heart"

"Aww." Hyoyeon sighs dreamily with her shoulders slumped.

Yup, it's pretty clear Tiffany has already lost a third of the jury's vote.

Taeyeon smirks. "I know right? And despite Tiffany agreeing to this, she has been avoiding me for two days now. How am I supposed to impress her with my charms if she keeps rejecting my advances?"

Hyoyeon gasps and glares at Tiffany.

Tiffany pretends she didn't just hear Hyoyeon call her heartless.

"That's not fair! She's making me out to be the bad guy!" Tiffany tries to defend herself.

"Shush."

"What?" Tiffany blinks blankly at Sunny.

What kind of judge shushes the defendant? Tiffany's pretty sure that's not part of any lawyer/judge lingo.

"You can speak when it's your turn to speak, but right now, it's Taeyeon's turn."

That damn vice president Lee Soonkyu. Tiffany unwillingly sits back down and crosses her arms pissed.

"Tiffany said, and I quote, 'I'll never forgive you for what you did, so you can forget about us ever being together!'" Taeyeon says in an annoying, shrilly voice.

"That does not sound like me." Tiffany mumbles under her breath and looks away when Taeyeon beams a dimply, childish grin at her.

I won't fall for your charms, Kim Taeyeon, you incredibly attractive rose-murderer!

"So all I'm asking for is a chance." Taeyeon pleaded with her puppy eyes. "A chance to make things right."

Sunny gestures her hand in Tiffany's direction. "Okay, now you can tell us your side of the story."

"Fine." Tiffany stands up, casually walking over to the jury, which consists of Hyoyeon, Seohyun, and Sooyoung. "I'll admit I was happy when Taeyeon agreed to woo me, but what she failed to mention is the part where she pulled a rose from the rose bush that I had so diligently nurtured. You guys remember when I spent last winter break at the garden with an umbrella to keep the harsh snow from harming my babies, don't you?"

The jury and judge nodded.

Uh oh. It wasn't looking too good for Taeyeon.

Once Tiffany had finished explaining to them why Taeyeon didn't deserve a second chance, the jury huddled together to make a decision.

With Sunny busy making sexy poses in her judge outfit and Tiffany busy writing something in her journal, Taeyeon sneakily creeps over to the jury and pretends to pick up the pen she had purposely dropped.

"Psst." Taeyeon quietly hisses to get the three's attention.

"Is something the matter, unnie?"

Taeyeon smiles back at the youngest of the bunch. "Oh, nothing, it's just you guys look familiar to me. Have you been at my matches?"

"Yes! We're fans of you actually!" Seohyun is hyper when she speaks of Taekwondo.

"Oh, yeah, that's where I've seen you. How about I get you guys in for free for tomorrow's match?"

The three gasp and lean even closer to Taeyeon. "Seriously?"

"Yes, but you have to help me win this case."

"I don't know, Taeyeon. Tiffany had some strong points." Sooyoung looks hesitant, as do the other two.

"Front row seats." Taeyeon adds as she slowly walks back to her seat.

Tiffany falls back into the chair in disbelief.

She lost? Her own friends threw her under the bus and chose Taeyeon over her?

How did this happen? Her argument was solid.

"Hey," Taeyeon taps Tiffany's shoulder, "Are you still upset that you didn't win?"

Did she really have to ask? Was Tiffany's glare not enough?

"You said I had to court you." Taeyeon reasons with a shrug. The Taekwondo captain was just doing what Tiffany wanted her to do.

"This is not what courting means!" A growl escapes Tiffany's throat as she turns her body away.

Taeyeon stares at Tiffany in awe. "You're so adorable when you're pissed at me." Taeyeon chuckles when Tiffany's emotions turn 180 degrees as she's back to being red-faced and baffled by Taeyeon's compliment.

No one's ever called her adorable before. She should still be upset with Taeyeon, but is it weird that Tiffany really wants to hug her right now?

It's all thanks to those Nicholas Sparks' novels. Now, she's sensitive to any romantic compliments.

"I want you to come to my match tomorrow."

Tiffany purses her lips. As if she has a choice, she lost and has to fulfill her end of the bargain.

"Aish." Taeyeon uncomfortably taps her foot as Tiffany sulks beside her. What would make the president feel better and be willing to attend the match?

"Fany…"

How embarrassing. The Kim Taeyeon is using nicknames now.

"Fany?" Tiffany ears perk up.

"I-I'll call you that from now on." Taeyeon clears her throat and turns her head away to hide her embarrassed face. If anyone knows her, they'd know that Taeyeon doesn't easily become embarrassed.

"Why?" Tiffany is now smiling at Taeyeon, who still refuses to look her directly in the eye.

"Because it's cute, and you're cute, so…" Taeyeon couldn't finish it because it was too frigging cheesy for her.

"Aw, Taeyeon…" Tiffany could no longer hold herself back as she embraces Taeyeon, this fluffy looking, cuddly puppy.

Taeyeon peeks through her bangs. "So... will you come watch me tomorrow?"

Why she feels shy, giddy, and light as a feather is because of this girl named Hwang Tiffany, who is now blasting her with that pretty eyesmile.

"It's a date."

Assa!

...

Tiffany is like a newborn baby entering the Taekwondo world for the first time. With the movies and books that she's read, she's oblivious to the Korean martial arts.

Why fight when you can love…

So fast-forward to ten minutes into the match when Taeyeon takes a kick to the face.

"Yah!"

All eyes are on Tiffany, who is now rushing over like a mad bull.

"Who do you think you are hitting a girl? Your mother would be so disappointed!" Tiffany continued to poke Taeyeon's competitor's chest.

"Wha—" The boy stared down at this raging president with confusion.

"If you had gone to this school, I would have given you detention!"

*poke, poke, poke*

"Ah, that hurts." The boy backs up, but Tiffany follows him.

"What the hell is going on in my court?" The referee is glaring at Tiffany.

Why is he looking like a scary gangster at her? What did she do wrong?

"Give us five minutes." Taeyeon is now dragging Tiffany off the mat.

"Taeyeon, I'm not done yelling at him." Tiffany tries to resist as she tugs her arm back, but Taeyeon with her super strength effortlessly forces her to stand in a corner like a child getting a timeout.

Once they're far away from the audience, Taeyeon bursts into laughter. She's always serious when it comes to Taekwondo, but here she is, laughing and happy despite Tiffany's interference.

"You know, I've been landing a lot of kicks at him. Why didn't you interfere then?"

Tiffany purses her lips. Wasn't it obvious? "You can hit him all you want, but he can't hit you."

Sound familiar?

"Who knew the student body president was like this?" Taeyeon shakes her head and looks away to hide her smile.

"Like what?" Tiffany frowns.

"Immature, jealous, tsk tsk Fany. You should try to keep it down a notch."

Tiffany is now tempted to add a punch to Taeyeon's cheek, but the red mark on the girl's face has her gently touching it.

"You would be too if you were me."

"Psh, I'm always mature and I never get jealous, Fany." Taeyeon takes her hand and leads her back to her seat. "Now be a good girl. That means no more running up to my opponent and going all student president on him."

Tiffany crosses her arms. "Whatever."

Once the match had started again, Tiffany kept to her word and remained in her seat. Well, she didn't have a reason to come raging over there because Taeyeon was not allowing the boy to land anymore hits on her as she blocked every one of them.

Was it because she didn't want Tiffany to worry?

"Hey, it's you."

Tiffany turns her head up and meets the boy that had kissed her cheek and got beat up by Taeyeon. "Oh, hi again. By the way, how's your chest?"

The boy clears his throat. "It's fine. But what about you?"

"Huh?"

He caught Tiffany off guard by suddenly touching her cheek at the spot where he had planted his mark.

A gust of wind blows at them and things go by like a blur by the time Tiffany blinks, because then she finds herself in Taeyeon's arms and the boy is on the floor, breathing heavily out of fear.

"Get out." Taeyeon orders in a grave tone as he scrambles out the door as fast as he could.

"Was that necessary?" Tiffany hisses at Taeyeon who is still staring at the exit, making sure that loser doesn't return.

When Taeyeon finally looks at Tiffany, she's back to being the arrogant kid that Tiffany is used to seeing. "I thought I made it clear. No one is allowed to touch you but me."

Yeah, Taeyeon is never immature and jealous.

"Shouldn't you be focusing on your match?" Tiffany changes the subject despite wanting to bury her face in her hands, because people are looking at them now and have probably heard Taeyeon's possessive statement.

"You're more important, Fany." Taeyeon winks, effectively making Tiffany's knees go weak.

You still got it, Kim Taeyeon.

"What the hell is going on here?! Kim, get your ass back here!" The coach orders with his eyes blazing, while the referee is once again annoyed and scowling in Tiffany's direction.

"Got to go."

After Taeyeon had won, no surprise there, she pulled Tiffany out of the room.

"Where are we going?" Tiffany asks with a blindfold on. It feels like she's participating in a game of trust as she follows Taeyeon's directions.

"Almost there. Okay, now take your blindfold off."

Once she does, Tiffany's eyes pop out and she tears up.

"Taeyeon…" Her hand goes to her rapidly beating chest.

"You like it? It took me hours to plant these." Taeyeon smugly adds as they both stare at the new and improved garden, which is now filled with various types of flowers and multiple bushes of pink roses.

"I love it!" Tiffany beams with tear-stained cheeks.

She knew she did the right thing. Now, it was time to come clean.

"Taeyeon, I have to tell you something."

"What is it?"

Tiffany nervously shifts her feet. "I was never mad at you for plucking the rose."

"You weren't?" Taeyeon's eyes widen.

Tiffany bit her lower lip. "No. I just didn't want to give in too easily. It wouldn't have been fun."

"Fun? What does that even mean?"

"Well, answer me this, what would you have done to court me?"

Taeyeon doesn't understand where this conversation is going, but she still answers, "I would have asked you out on a date. We'd eat at a restaurant, maybe watch a movie and then I'd ask you to be my girlfriend when I drop you off at your place."

Tiffany groans and sighs. "Bo-ring. So predictable and boring, Taeyeon."

"Yah! People would be happy with that."

"Well, not me. I'd like some spice in my love life, Taeyeon."

"S-Spice?"

"Yes, spice. And it will go in my new book."

Taeyeon was learning a lot in these five minutes. "What book?!"

Tiffany then pulls out the journal that Taeyeon has been seeing her write in for the past few days now.

Oh, now it made sense why she carried it around with her.

"So you pretended to be mad at me and avoided me just so I would work harder at wooing you? Just so you can make it more entertaining for your book?"

Tiffany pouted. "Are you mad at me?"

She should be, but looking back on it, maybe she would have given up on Tiffany if she had got her too easily.

"I love you, Tiffany."

Tiffany is at first stunned, but then she eyes her weirdly as if she's unsure about Taeyeon's sudden confession. She hesitantly responds, "For the week?"

Taeyeon hums thoughtfully before replying with a softened expression, "More like, for-ever."

Tiffany whimpers as her eyes become watery. "I have to write this down. Just give me a sec." She opens up her journal and begins enthusiastically scribbling down words.

As a caring and sweet girlfriend, Taeyeon patiently waits. But her smile begins to falter as more and more seconds go by.

"Okay, enough." Taeyeon tries to take Tiffany's pencil but the girl quickly dodges her attempt.

"Wait, one more second."

"No, no more. It's Kim Taeyeon time."

Kim Taeyeon time means all of Tiffany's attention should be on this childish, eager and possessive Taekwondo captain.

Taeyeon is quicker and stronger as she snatches the pencil out of her girlfriend's hand. Tiffany whines and tries to reach for it again, and to her horror, Taeyeon snaps her pencil in half with one hand, but Tiffany is unable to be upset because Taeyeon's lips are on hers right now.

After a minute, Tiffany leans back and sees Taeyeon's eyes still closed and mouth slightly apart. "You broke my pencil."

"I'll buy you a new one." Taeyeon puckers her lips and holds Tiffany's shoulders to keep her in place as she brings their lips back together.

But Tiffany twists her face away before their lips can touch. "Can it be pink? I like pink."

"Fany!" Taeyeon growls impatiently. She looks like she wants to kill her.

"Okay, sorry. And Taeyeon-ah, I love you too." Tiffany giggles as her fingers meet Taeyeon's reddened cheeks before giving her Kim Taeyeon what she wants.

A kiss for upgrading from player status to taken status.

A kiss for catching this gem, brighter than gem Fany.

A kiss because they're a couple and if they want to kiss then they can.
