2. I hope you see what everyone sees

It was another late night for Harvey. There's really nothing pressing but he's just preparing ahead for a case since he really had nothing else to do. He was reading the case when Donna popped by at his office.

"Hey, thought you'd still be here"

"Hey and you're still here?" Harvey questioned. Donna hasnt really stayed late recently since she started dating Thomas.

"Just catching up on work... I just need you to check and sign these. No rush just get it to me when you can" Harvey knows she's catching up on her friday tasks which she wasnt able to do because Thomas wanted to surprise her with a 3 day getaway. They didnt talk about that and neither of them opened it up.

"Of course Donna, I'll get it done tonight" he gave her a smile.

"Great! I'll be in my office" Donna said and left his office.

She went back to her office and started doing her work. If it was a regular night she would be out the office by now and be with Thomas.

She was busy reading when she heard a knock on her door.

"I have a delivery for a Donna Paulsen"

"Thomas! Hi! What are you doing here?" She was surprised to see Thomas in her office. She told him she'll catch up on work and won't be able to come over tonight.

"Thought you might need a break and have some of your favorite Thai food"

"You didnt have to do that" Donna smiled and was very touched with Thomas' gesture.

"This is more for me since I get to see you" Thomas replied.

She and Thomas started eating and had some light conversation. Thomas would joke about something that would make her laugh.

Harvey was about to enter Donna's office to give the papers and maybe ask her if she wants any takeout when he saw her with Thomas laughing and eating the shitty Thai food. He knows the take out logo and container by heart already. It bothered him. He couldnt stay and watch and so he decided to leave but before he could, Thomas already saw him.

Thomas being the polite and respectful man that he is, he called Harvey and he had no choice but to go into the office.

"Didnt know you're here late too. I wouldve gotten you some food" Harvey shook his hands that Thomas held out.

"Oh thanks but that's not necessary, I was just actually heading out for the night. Just dropping these for Donna" Except he actually wasnt leaving yet. Now he has to leave the firm.

"Oh thanks Harvey!" Donna stood up and took the papers from him. His fingers slightly brushed hers and he felt the electricity. It was the same feeling he felt when Donna kissed her when he was still with Paula. He looked at Donna as if asking her if she felt it too. Except he didnt really ask her verbally.

"Well Im gonna get going. Have a good night" Harvey broke the silence.

"Ofcourse. Goodnight Harvey" Donna replied.

Thomas nodded and smiled at him and he returned the gesture before leaving Donna's office.

Donna dropped the papers and went back to her seat and Thomas continued the story he was telling her, as if nothing happened, and they were both laughing again.

Harvey left her office and before walking he turned around to look at them again. It used to be them, when they would stay in and work late nights. The conversations, laughing and that shitty thai food.

It looked like them. So this is what everyone saw from the outside, he thought to himself.

As if he got struck by a lightning, something dawned on him. He sees it now. What Scottie said to him makes sense now. "I hope you see what everyone sees with Donna".

It's Donna. He loves Donna. All this time, it's always been her.
