Well hello, everybody! Welcome to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie! I'm thinking right now it'll be broken up into three parts, as the movie is an hour and a half long. Each part gets half an hour. I don't know, I promise there's a method to my madness.
Thank you so much to Jimmyle311, FallenArcana, Nycnewsgirl, XDXDXDcringemnasterXDXDXD, and Guest for your lovely comments. Hope you all enjoy!
"Hey, Kim?" Jamie asked as she tightened her parachute.
"Yeah?" Kimberly asked, pausing her own tightening to glance up at her friend.
"Remind me the next time you try to convince me to do something like skydiving, to just say no."
Kimberly laughed, sending a smile to her best friend. "Oh come on, it'll be fun!"
Jamie rolled her eyes with a laugh, "If I die, I'm haunting you."
Kimberly just laughed with her.
Jamie's soccer season had ended just two weeks ago, with Angel Grove coming in second place in the state championships. While they were bummed to have lost, they were happy to be the second best team in Angel Grove. Besides, they'd get them next year.
A few minutes later, as they approached the drop zone, Rocky couldn't help but to let out a cheer.
"Woo-hoo! C'mon!" the Red Ranger exclaimed. "We're out of here!"
"Easy, Rocky," Kimberly laughed.
"Alright, guys, we're 15 seconds from the drop zone!" Tommy said, standing up to make final adjustments of his parachute.
All the Rangers cheered, excited. Soon after they arrived back from Australia, the Rangers, and Bulk and Skull, had enrolled in the school's skydiving club. They'd been training for weeks, and today was finally the day that they would be jumping out of a plane, all to help save the Angel Grove Observatory. And, Ryan's Comet would be passing over in just a few days' time.
"Alright, pin-heads! The Stealth Eagle is about to fly!" Bulk exclaimed, sharing a look with Bulk.
"Along with the Swooping Swallow!" Skull agreed.
"Well, lead on fly-boys," Aisha said.
The two bullies shared a confident look, nodded, and then Skull opened the hatch for the plane.
"That's a lot of air!" Skull said as he looked out at the open sky.
"After you, Skull!" said Bulk.
"What are you, crazy?!" Skull replied. "This was your idea!"
Shaking her head, Jamie called out, "Hey, boys!" when they turned to look at her, she pointed to the parachutes they had yet to put on. "You might want to slip those on."
"Good idea," the two chorused.
While the two of them put their parachutes on, Billy looked at his watch. "Alright, guys, we're three seconds from the target zone."
"Aisha, you're on," Tommy said and Aisha, clad in white and yellow gear, went to the door.
"Yes!" she exclaimed, getting into position to jump out. "STELLAR!" she yelled as she jumped out.
"On your TAIL!" Adam yelled, the Black Ranger going next.
"All systems GOOO!" Billy yelled.
Next up was Jamie, who took a deep breath, and took two steps back from the door to give herself a running start. She was clad in dark gray and white gear, her helmet a shiny silver.
"You got this, Jay!" Kimberly cheered.
Jamie shook her head minutely, and then took off running. "I GOT THIS!" once she was in the air, she did as their coach had taught. It was a lot of fun, doing flips and turns in the air as she free-fell. She'd thought she'd freeze up the second she had to jump out of the plane, but free-falling was actually quite fun.
Rocky, Tommy, and Kimberly all jumped out after her, Tommy with his feet strapped to a snowboard.
After a minute or so, they all met up and joined hands to form a circle, Jamie in-between Adam and Tommy. Adam met her gaze for a moment, his eyes warm and full of excitement behind his goggles.
"Alright, guys, let's break!" Tommy instructed, and they broke apart, getting ready to pull their chutes.
After a few seconds, they all started pulling their chutes, and steered their way to where they needed to land, a large target that had been laid over some grass. A lot of people were waiting for them down there, a cheering crowd that had added to Jamie's nerves when they first went up.
Adam landed first, making a close call before finally touching his feet to the ground right in the middle of the target. Billy was next, also hitting perfectly in the center. Kimberly came in next, followed closely by Rocky, and then by Jamie. All three managed to hit the center of the target, quickly getting out of the way for Aisha, who came in after Jamie. Finally was Tommy, who came in wide, but his snowboard hit the ground in the big red circle that marked the center, making it a seven for seven for the team.
Where Bulk and Skull landed, they had no idea. But in that moment, they couldn't find it within themselves to care, too excited for their own success.
"Jamie!" Aidan called, rushing forward to meet his sister as she pulled her helmet off.
"Hey, Aiden," she greeted, accepting her brother's half-hug when he offered a single arm to her.
"Man, I can't believe mom let you do this but not me," he complained.
"Maybe next year, bro," Jamie said, going to unbuckle her parachute from her middle. A few feet away, Tommy was talking with a boy named Fred who was in his karate class, and his father who had jumped earlier in the day but landed in the parking lot.
"But if the observatory doesn't need saving next year, then they won't do it," he complained.
"Maybe they'll do it for another cause then," Adam said, coming up from behind Jamie to help her with her parachute. "Come on, Jamie, I think we're meeting over there."
"Alright, Adam," Jamie gave her brother a smile, and then followed Adam to meet the other Rangers.
"Guys, we did it!" Kimberly exclaimed.
"Yeah, that was awesome!" Rocky added.
"Scary as all hell, but awesome," Jamie finished, allowing herself to get pulled into Kimberly's side.
"Tommy, that landing was beautiful," Aisha complimented, talking with her hands to really emphasize her point.
"Thanks," Tommy laughed. "You too, man."
"Hey, has anyone seen Bulk and Skull?" Billy asked, looking up towards the sky to see if he could spot the bullies.
"Ernie's serving a free dessert with lunch," Aisha said. "They probably landed on the roof."
Everyone laughed at that; it was probably true.
"Come on, let's get out of here," Rocky said, "I've got all of our rollerblades in my truck."
Everyone agreed, so they took off, taking off their skydiving gear as they went.
…
Rollerblading through Angel Grove was another type of adrenalin rush that Jamie could never get tired of. Now dressed in a gray tank top with a black plaid button-up that was open over it, white shorts, and her pads and helmet, she skated through the city with her friends, all laughing together and joking around as they went
Coming up on a small hill, everyone jumped over it, Billy going first with a beautiful front flip. Jamie herself just grabbed both skates with one hand, letting go to land nicely on the asphalt.
When they came up on some stairs, later, which Jamie had never done before, Adam grinned, and, skating backwards, grabbed her hands to pull her along with him down them. He laughed as their skates bounced them down the steps, and only let go once they were safely at the bottom.
"Thanks, Adam!" she exclaimed, skating next to him for a moment before speeding up to get ahead of him.
"Hey!" the Black Ranger laughed, speeding up himself to try and catch up again.
"Come on, guys, short cut!" Tommy exclaimed, cutting through an alley.
"Right behind you!" his girlfriend exclaimed, the Pink Ranger turning in behind him, and the rest following after her.
This led them through a construction zone, but none of the workers paid them any mind as they stuck to the road and didn't touch the construction.
Once they were out of the construction zone, they continued on, only stopping when Rocky's stomach growled. "Hey, guys, let's getting something to eat!" the Red Ranger called out.
However, their communicators went off before they could discuss it.
"Hang on," Tommy said, and they quickly slid to a stop in front of a fountain. "Let's go over there."
He led the way to a secluded spot, the others following, before finally raising his wrist up to his mouth.
"What's up, Alpha?"
"Rangers, Zordon needs you at the Command Center! It's urgent!" Alpha said, his robotic voice sounding shaken.
"We're on our way," Tommy said, glancing at his teammates.
All raising their wrists up, they all hit the buttons on their communicators, and teleported to the Command Center in streaks of light. The arrived to find Alpha freaking out and the alarms going off.
"Alpha, what's going on?" Tommy asked as they crowded around the little robot.
"A surge of evil energy is overloading our sensors! Aye-yi-yi-yi-yi!"
"Rangers," Zordon's voice called as he appeared in his tube. The Rangers turned to look at him. "You must act swiftly, the planet is in grave danger."
"Danger from what?" Kimberly asked.
"6,000 years ago, a morphological being called Ivan Ooze ruled the world with a reign of unparalleled terror. He was on the verge of completing construction of his ultimate weapon, the ectomorphicon titans. Twin machines capable of enslaving the entire universe." Zordon sounded very grave as he explained.
"What happened to him?" Rocky asked, eyebrows furrowed.
"Teen warriors, much like yourselves, lured him into a hyper lock chamber, and buried him deep underground. But now the chamber has been accidentally uncovered. You must return it to the depths before it is opened, and Ivan is released."
"The ectomorphicons were buried near the chamber," Alpha said. "If Ivan escapes, he's sure to find them!"
"Use extreme caution, Rangers," Zordon instructed. "You are dealing with an evil, here, that is beyond all imagination."
The Rangers glanced at one another, all of them nervous, but they had to do this. Because if they didn't, there probably wouldn't be a world left for them to protect.
…
Night time had fallen by the time they got the construction zone, the same one they'd skated through earlier that day.
"Anybody see anything?" Aisha asked once their teleportation beams faded. They'd landed on a big pile of rocks.
"Let's take a look up there," Tommy said.
Before too long, they came across… something. It looked like a giant hand, holding an egg. But the egg had apparently hatched, the top of it split into two evenly down the middle. The bottom half was filled with something, and steam leaked out as well.
"What is that?" Jamie asked, stepping closer to it.
"Careful," Adam warned, reaching out to touch her shoulder.
"It reeks!" Rocky commented.
"Hey, what are you kids doing here?!" a man's voice behind them exclaimed. All of them jumped, turning. They found a man with short hair wearing a security guard uniform, most likely the guy who was hired to watch the construction site overnight.
"Um," Kimberly started, "You haven't by any chance seen a morphological being lurking about around here?"
"A morphological being?" the man asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yeah," Jamie answered. She sounded very unsure of her answer, and didn't meet the man's eyes.
"What the heck is that?" he asked, staring at the teenagers in front of him. "Wait a second. Did it look something like this?"
And then, right before their eyes, the man morphed into something else. His skin turned purple, a long, twisted horn grew out of his chin, his ears became pointed, and his clothes became purple armor as he laughed.
"Ew, gross!" Kimberly spat as they fell back into defensive positons.
"Too kind," Ooze said, staring at them with beady black eyes. "Allow me to introduce myself; I am the galactically feared, globally reviled, universally despised! They call me Ivan Ooze."
"Well pack your bags, because we're sending you right back to where you came from!" Rocky said, pointing at Ooze with one finger.
"Lookie here," Ooze said, prolonging the word here. "A teenager with a big mouth. Not much has changed in 6,000 years."
"You obviously don't know who you're dealing with," Kimberly said, bravely speaking up. "Mr. Raisin Head!"
"Really?" Ooze asked, hands on his hips as he leaned forward.
"Yeah!" Tommy exclaimed. "We're the Power Rangers!"
"Oh! Where's my autograph book?!" Ooze exclaimed, sounding very… none impressed. "Power Rangers, huh?" he turned and headed for the egg. "So, Zordon's still using a bunch of kids to do his dirty work." he turned to face them again. "Well, meet my kids!"
Laughing menacingly, Ooze raised his hands, and lightening flew from his fingertips. When the lightening hit the ground, something rose from it. The were some kind of creature, that looked like miniature Ivan Ooze's. Ooze continued to laugh as his minions formed around him.
"Ew," Kimberly complained, not looking away from the creatures.
"From this moment forth, the world as you know it shall cease to exist! Welcome to my nightmare!" he raised his hands again, and purple lightening flew from his hands. "Bye-bye, kitties!"
Then, he disappeared, leaving them with the slime creatures.
"He's gone!" Rocky exclaimed.
"What're we gonna do?" Kimberly asked, holding her hands in front of her.
"Looks like there's plenty of room down there!" Billy said, looking behind them. They were near a ledge, but if they dropped down a five foot drop, then there would be plenty of room for them to spread out.
"Go, guys!" Tommy exclaimed, kicking at the slime warriors to distract them. Rocky and Aisha jumped down first, followed by Adam and Billy, and then Kimberly and Jamie. Tommy jumped down last.
"Let's take these beasts!" Adam said, staring up at the slime monsters.
"Spread out!" Tommy ordered, and they did as told.
Finding a spot with a bunch of smaller rocks on the ground, Jamie turned just as a couple of the slime creatures came at her.
"How about a game of soccer?" she asked. Using one of her feet, she brought a rock up, bounced it onto her foot to get it into the air, and then shot it directly at the head of one of the creatures. It went down, but another came at her.
Ducking under a swipe aimed at her head, Jamie took a few quick steps backwards, finally jumping to kick the creature away from her. But more creatures came, and Jamie was bodily grabbed. The other Rangers had gathered nearby, and Adam was thrown at them. The creature holding her apparently decided she would make a good weapon, and threw her at her friends.
Jamie screamed, trying to angle herself so she wouldn't hurt them, but she barreled into Adam, sending him backwards, and nearly taking out Billy as well. Adam wrapped his arms around her, trying to at least protect her from the hard ground.
"Sorry!" Jamie exclaimed, feeling Kimberly pull her up and off of Adam.
"You're good," Adam groaned as Billy pulled him back up.
"They got us cornered," Aisha said.
"We can't hold 'em off!" Billy exclaimed. The creatures were getting closer to them, backing them up until they had no where else to go. "There's too many of them!"
"Let's do it, guys!"
"Right!"
"It's Morphin Time! Tiger Zord!"
"Mastodon!"
"Pterodactyl!"
"Megaladon!"
"Triceratops!"
"Saber-Toothed Tiger!"
"Tyrannosaurus!"
But once they were morphed, they noticed that the creatures had disappeared.
"Where'd they go?" Kimberly asked.
"Keep your eyes peeled," Adam said.
Catching movement out of the corner of his eye, Rocky pointed. "Head's up, guys! Over there!" he pointed towards an unfinished building.
They all looked over just in time to see multiple figures disappearing into the mist.
"Careful, it could be a trap," Tommy warned.
"Right."
"Let's go."
They carefully moved into the building, scanning as they went for the ooze creatures.
"This place gives me the creeps," Rocky said.
"I heard that," Aisha agreed.
Thinking he heard something, Billy went for one of the columns, but nothing was there. He turned back to his teammates. "I have a bad feeling about this place."
They continued walking, every tiny noise causing them to freeze and fall into defensive positions.
"Anybody see anything?" Kimberly asked after they heard what sounded like an animal cry.
"We need some light," Tommy said.
"Activating Power Beams," Aisha said. A small portion of her helmet opened up, giving them two beams of light to work with.
They continued walking through the building, but didn't see anything.
"They gotta be around here, somewhere," Tommy said. The longer they went without seeing anything, the more nervous they all got.
"Activating Power Scope," Rocky said, allowing him to scan their surroundings better.
"Talk to me, Rocko," Tommy said, "What do we got?"
"The readings are all over the place," Rocky reported. "I don't know what these purple weirdos are made of, but I can't lock 'em down."
"Maybe I can," Jamie said. "Activating Heat Tracker."
Her vision quickly changed, her visor showing the temperature of everything around her. As one of her friends stepped in front of her, their body became outlined in red, showing their heat signature. These ooze creatures were cold when she hit them, so she looked for blues and purples.
"Find anything, Jamie?" Tommy asked.
"Nothing," she reported. "Their body temperatures felt cooler, but I don't see any heat signatures for them."
"Alright, stay alert."
They continued on, until Rocky's tracker finally picked something up, right at the same time Jamie saw a large blob of blue go across her own vision.
"Over there!" the two chorused.
"Let's power up!" Tommy exclaimed.
"Right!" the others agreed.
Dropping the light and scanners, the Rangers ran towards where Rocky and Jamie had seen one of the creatures.
"Here they come!" Aisha exclaimed, and suddenly, they were surrounded.
Breaking away from each other, the Rangers went on the attack, punching, kicking, and slashing their way through the slime creatures. They figured out pretty quickly that if they could throw them into something like a beam, then the creatures would explode, leaving only purple ooze to show they had ever been there.
Three of the creatures quickly came rushing at Jamie, and she called on her Power Katana, using it to slash at the creatures and keep them away from her. Once she had two of them on the ground, she turned to the last one.
"Come on, give me your best shot!" she taunted.
The ooze creature, enraged, ran at her. Jamie jumped, easily flipping over it, and used her sword to whack it, sending it flying into a grate. It disintegrated.
"Disgusting, but also kind of satisfying," Jamie said.
Seeing Billy and Aisha up on a landing, she jumped down to land beside them, the others quickly joining them. Some of the ooze creatures had been destroyed, but there was still a good amount of them left, and they rushed forward, eager to get revenge for their fallen comrades.
"I want you guys to meet Saba!" Tommy flipped his sword, and then threw it. The sentient sword managed to corral the ooze creatures into one spot, and then flew up. Saba had gotten them underneath a large crate that was hanging from a crane, and Saba flew up to it, slashing at the rope holding it.
The crate fell, crushing the remaining ooze creatures, and finally defeating them.
"Now, let's go find Ivan!" Tommy said as they watched ooze leak out from under the crate. But before they could even take a step, their morphs suddenly began to fail.
"Hey, what's happening?" Kimberly asked, bringing her hands up so she could see them.
"Out powers!" Jamie exclaimed.
"We're losing power," Billy said. Within a few moments, their morphs were completely gone, leaving them in their civilian clothing.
"What's going on?" Kimberly questioned.
"Alpha, come in!" Billy tried, his wrist up to his mouth. He didn't get an answer; not even static.
"I don't like this," Jamie said, crossing her arms as she looked at her friends, worry shining clearly in her brown eyes.
"Yeah, something's wrong," Aisha agreed.
"We better get back," Tommy said. "Come on, guys."
Unfortunately, with their powers seemingly gone and the communicators not working, they had to walk. And it took them a long time to get out of Angel Grove and to the Command Center.
When they finally got there, all of them were tired and sweaty.
"Oh no," Billy said, the first to see the ooze leaking out of the Command Center door.
"Ooze!" Adam exclaimed.
"Let's get it open," Tommy said. He, Billy, and Adam got into position, prying the doors open. But what they found, wasn't good.
The Command Center was destroyed. They walked down the catwalk slowly, horrified. Sparks were flying everywhere, everything completely destroyed.
"Look at this place," Tommy said.
"I can't believe it," Adam breathed out.
"I thought this place was supposed to be impenetrable," Jamie said.
"What happened here?" Aisha asked.
But before anyone else could say anything, Kimberly froze.
"Kim?" Jamie asked, putting a hand on the Pink Ranger's shoulder.
"Oh, no," Kimberly said, and she took off. Billy noticed what she had seen a moment later, also taking off. The others followed, and found their worst fear.
Laying on a table, outside of the tube that kept him alive, was Zordon.
