4. Pet Names
Pet names...Its not their thing. Well it hasnt been considering they've only gotten together 2 weeks ago. Nevertheless, they never fail to compliment each other.
Except one time, Harvey tried to use pet names.
It was mid morning in Donna's office and Samantha popped by for some documents and some chit chat. Samantha sat across Donna's desk.
"Hi Donna, I just need the Newark's file from yesterday"
"Of course" Donna stood up to get the documents which is on the other table when she got a txt message from Harvey. Accidentally, Samantha read the message.
"Hi abby wont make it to lunch today, meeting w/ a client got pushed back at 12. Dinner? Love u -H"
"You got a message, Abby" Samantha mentioned with a smirked. She knows Harvey meant baby as Harvey's not the type of guy who cheats. Especially not with Donna.
"What?!" Donna grabbed her phone and read his txt.
"See this is why I dont like pet names" Deep inside Donna knew it was an autocorrect.
"I cant believe she called you baby and failed at it" Samantha laughed and Donna smiled and shooked her head.
"How bout we go out for lunch, Abby?"
And just in time, Harvey showed up at her office, who obviously ran as he is gasping for air as he breathes.
"T-that's not what I meant" Harvey said.
"I dont buy it." Samantha teased as she stood up and left her office. "See u at lunch Abby" Donna gave her a nod.
As Samantha was leaving she whispered to Harvey "goodluck explaining" which made the latter roll his eyes.
"I swear its not like that" Harvey took big steps to get closer to her and held her by her waist and Donna placed her hands on his arms.
"Are you sure you're in the right office? Cause my name's on the door and it clearly says Donna" she said jokingly.
"I- I.. I was trying to call you baby. I dont know.. i just thought thats what people in relationships do.. you know..pet names"
"Harvey, we dont have to do that. And if we do I will never authorize you to call me baby" Donna said while pointing her index finger at Harvey.
"Its that freaking autocorrect thing on my phone!" Harvey tried to explained more and asked "So you're not mad?"
"I'm not. As long as Donna's the only name you scream in the bedroom" Donna whispered in his ears.
"Always. As long as you keep doing the thing that makes me scream your name, Debbie" Harvey whispered back at her ears.
"You're an idiot" she said smiling.
"I'll see you at dinner" Harvey said and gave her a quick peck on the lips before leaving her office.
