8. The photo
Sometimes its the house keys, his cellphone or his wallet that he forgets at home. Harvey left for work earlier than she did. She was still sleeping when he left. Its been what 2 or 3 weeks since they got together, but Harvey's habit of forgetting stuff hasnt been new to her. Its the reason why she had a duplicate key of his apartment even when they weren't together yet.
'Forgot my wallet its by my bedside' - H ?
She just rolled her eyes on his text message.
'You also forgot your girlfriend on your bed ?¬タル she replied.
She got ready for work and grabbed his wallet on her way out when something fell out of it. It was a photo of her and Harvey dancing during Mike and Rachel's wedding. It was a candid shot.
There was a message on the back:
Thanks for coming to our wedding! Hope this serves as another souvenir from our special day. - Mike and Rachel
She also got photos from the wedding saying the generic message, but she never got a copy of the said photo. She got it a week after their wedding which means he got it a week after as well.
She got teary eyed seeing it and knowing he had it in his wallet even before they got together. She couldnt keep it any longer and tears kept rolling down. As cliche as it may sound, it was tears of joy. She had to redo her make up before going to work.
"Here's your wallet" She placed it on the table which made him look up to her.
"Thanks! You're late" he jokingly said
"I had to grab a wallet for one of the lawyers around here" she joked as well but to be honest it was because of her having to redo her makeup but she didnt tell him that.
"Sorry"
"Well im gonna go work now. See you lunch" She turned her back on him and ready to leave.
"Hold on wait a second. You're smiling."
"So?" She turned around.
"You were pissed the other day when I left my keys"
"Just in a good mood that's all"
"You saw something in my wallet didnt you?!" He stood up from his chair and went closer to her. They're standing close in front of each other.
"In my defense, I didnt go through your wallet. It fell when I took it!" Donna said. "So you've been keeping it since you got it?" She asked.
"Something like that"
"How come I never got a copy of that?!"
"I might actually have took your copy" Their photos was sent through the firm since almost everyone from the wedding works at the firm. Harvey knew he wanted to keep the photo in his office, which he kept in his drawer. He knew Donna would have a copy of it so he took her copy because he wanted to have one in his wallet. He's not sure why but he just felt that its right to have a photo of them in his wallet.
"Why?!"
"I kept one here in the office."
"Where?"
"I'm not telling!"
"You have to give it back you know, that's technically mine!"
"Finders keepers" he smirked.
She was about to walk towards Harvey's desk to look for it until Faye came into Harvey's office demanding his time for a case.
Great! She's not even here for an hour and Faye has already ruined their moment and her morning.
Donna left Harvey's office while thinking of a plan to distract Harvey later on so she could sneak into his office and find where the other copy is hidden. She's sure she'll find it, after all, she knows every hiding place in his office.
Except the other copy wasnt at Harvey's office anymore. He mailed the other copy to his mom after their phone call, telling her, Donna's the one.
End.
