9. The day after Lily's funeral.

They were packed and ready to go back to new york. His brother wanted him to stay for a bit longer but with the situation at the firm, they cant.

"Hey, before we go I want you to meet someone" Harvey told her. They were dressing up in their room.

"That someone didnt come to the funeral?" Donna questioned.

Harvey shook his head and smiled lightly. "Unfortunately not" he replied.

"Okay, sure Harvey. Our flight got delayed anyways"

This is not how he wanted them to meet. He never imagined a scenario in his head like this.

"Dad, meet Donna. Donna meet dad" Harvey said on his father's grave. "You two should've meet if only I could see what's right in front of my face 13 years ago" His voice cracked.

"Harvey, stop" She held his hand. Donna's heart broke hearing that. But just like Harvey, this is not what she imagined meeting his parents would be. There's something in a way that Harvey introduced her to his dad. It was a moment she couldnt define herself. She wonders if he had introduced his other girlfriends to his dad before.

"Its a pleasure to meet you sir" she said to his father's grave.

Her phone rang, so she excused herself from Harvey and walked away a bit.

"I love her dad. She's the one" He said proudly.

"Well we need to go back, but I promise we'll be back here before you know it. Who knows I might be married by then" This time he whispered while looking at Donna.

"Goodbye dad. I love you" He walked up to Donna and told her they're leaving. They were walking towards the car when Donna saw some flowers. She knows she shouldnt be picking them but she did. They were beautiful.

"Stay here" She commanded Harvey.

She walked back to his father's grave and placed the flowers.

"It was nice to meet you. I'll take care of him, I promise" Donna whispered. It was the same promise she made to Lily.

End.
