Chloe sat with Charlotte on her lap as she helped the little 18-months-old toddler draw and color. She was sitting on the coffee table in the living room of her and Beca's apartment, there were crayons, color pencils, pens everywhere. The tip of Charlotte's finger and her hands were painted with every color possible.

"Wow, that's a beautiful girl! What is gonna be the color of her dress?" Chloe asked.

"No dwess." Charlotte said.

"No dress? What is she gonna wear then?" Chloe asked.

"Pants." Charlotte said, finishing the girl's dark blue eyes.

"Who is that, Char? Who did you draw?" Chloe asked with a smile on her face.

"We, mamma." Charlotte said, looking up at Chloe.

"Who did we draw?" Chloe corrected herself.

"Mommy!" Charlotte exclaimed with a smile.

"Oh, mommy!" Chloe said with a huge smile as Charlotte giggled and grabbed the black pencil. "She looks beautiful!"

Charlotte giggled again. It was incredible how she looked more and more like Beca every day.

Six months ago, Beca and Chloe went to the doctor to see about the results and it showed Charlotte could have leukemia in the future and that scared the living shit out of her mothers. They had been watching her closely for the last six months, since they decided to move in together and Chloe decided it'd be good for Beca to visit a therapist. Ever since the results, Charlotte hasn't showed any symptom that deserved special attention.

Up until recently.

Beca was currently in therapy and they had invited the Bellas over for dinner, but truth be told, neither was in the mood for it, they'd been super worried about Charlotte lately, they were super tense. They had scheduled an appointment with Charlotte's pediatrician but the waiting was killing them.

Charlotte put her pencil down and ran to the door (as fast as her little legs would let her) and stood there, arms waiting as Beca got in and closed the door. She turned around her heart melt at the sight.

"Oh my beautiful girl! Mommy missed you so much!" Beca said, picking her up and kissing her cheek. "How's mommy's beautiful girl?"

Charlotte shook her head.

"No me." she said.

"Not you? You're not mommy's beautiful girl?" Beca frowned.

"No." Charlotte shook her head again, her short brown curls flying as she did.

"Then who is?" Beca asked.

Charlotte put her head on Beca's shoulder as she pointed at Chloe, giggling as the two women smiled and buried her face in her brunette mother's neck.

"Mamma is my beautiful girl, but you are too." Beca said, rubbing Charlotte's back up and down. "Wanna go take a bath to wait for mommy and mamma's friends?"

Charlotte nodded and Beca kissed Chloe before going upstairs with Charlotte.

Chloe finished dinner, she set the table and organized the living room before Beca and Charlotte came down, both dressed.

"Whoa, don't you guys look beautiful." Chloe said, making the two brunettes smile.

Charlotte smiled and walked towards her redhead mother, raising her arms with a pout. Chloe giggled and picked her up, kissing her cheek repeatedly.

"I love you so much!" she said, still kissing her cheek.

Charlotte laughed as Chloe kissed her cheek.

Beca smiled at the scene and went to the kitchen to check the food. It was ready, but when the Bellas arrived it'd have to be heated again.

Not all the Bellas were going, only Stacie, Aubrey, Fat Amy and Cynthia Rose. The others were busy.

"Babe, can you set Charlotte's high chair?" Chloe asked.

"I'm gonna do that right now." Beca said, moving Charlotte's high chair, that usually stayed in the kitchen, to their small dining room table. "There, now our little girl can sit with us."

Charlotte smiled.

"Are you hungry, Char?" Chloe asked and Charlotte nodded. "Is it alright if I give her a little something?"

"Yes! Yes!" Charlotte said.

Beca chuckled and kissed Charlotte's cheek, going in the kitchen. She grabbed a small plastic bowl filled with half a banana cut up in small pieces and handed it to Charlotte.

"I knew she'd get hungry." Beca said.

Charlotte put one piece of banana into her mouth and chewed on it while she watched her mothers interact.

"You're so smart." Chloe smiled and kissed the brunette's lips.

The doorbell rang and Charlotte's face changed into a surprised yet excited expression.

"They're here!" Beca said.

Charlotte turned to Chloe.

"They hee!" she repeated.

Chloe smiled and nodded, following Beca so she could also greet the guests.

Beca opened the door and smiled when Fat Amy, Stacie and Aubrey came in, greeting her briefly.

"Hi!" Beca said.

"Hi!" Charlotte repeated excitedly, making everyone giggle at her.

"Hello, Charlotte!" Stacie said, smiling at the toddler, who buried her face in Chloe's neck.

"Where's Cynthia?" Beca frowned, closing the door.

"She had a family emergency and couldn't come." Stacie said.

"Aww that's a shame." Chloe said. "But we can get everyone together another time."

"Yeah." Beca said as they moved to the living room.

Chloe sat with Charlotte on her lap as the toddler continued eating her bananas.

"How are you Charlotte?" Aubrey asked.

Charlotte smiled and nodded, putting another piece of banana into her mouth.

"Show the Bellas how well you know them. What are their names?" Chloe asked and pointed Aubrey. "Who's that?"

"Aubee." Charlotte said

Aubrey smiled wide.

"You know my name!" she said, making Charlotte giggle.

"And who's that?" Chloe pointed Stacie.

Charlotte tried but couldn't remember her name. Seeing that, Chloe giggled and whispered 'Stacie' in her ear.

"Tacie!" Charlotte exclaimed.

"Oh my God, you're so cute!" Stacie said. "Can I pinch your cheeks?"

Charlotte giggled and shook her head.

"Can I take you home?" Stacie asked again.

Charlotte laughed and shook her head again.

"Please, mommy and mamma will be fine!" Stacie said.

"No." Charlotte laughed.

"She's mine." Chloe said, kissing the top of her head.

"Aww." Stacie faked a pout. "But will you come visit me?"

Charlotte nodded her head and turned to Chloe to give her the empty bowl. Chloe just placed it on the coffee table.

"You missed someone, kid." Fat Amy said. "What's my name?"

"Amy." Charlotte said and giggled when Fat Amy self-fived.

"Can you come sit on my lap, Char?" Stacie asked.

Charlotte giggled and walked out of her mother's lap, walking over to Stacie, who picked her up and placed her on her lap.

"I'm gonna go check on dinner." Chloe said, standing up.

"Did you guys talk to the doctor?" Aubrey asked once Chloe left.

"Yeah, but.. if we don't really like to talk about it." Beca said. "We're just so scared."

Beca sighed as she watched Charlotte play with Stacie and Fat Amy and even let out a sad smile.

"She's our little girl, we never thought there could be something wrong with her." Beca said.

"I understand." Aubrey said. "You know, she's almost two but I can't stop thinking.. I'm so glad she's okay. When she was born… I was so worried."

"Yeah, I know." Beca said. "I was too."

"Guys! Dinner is served!" Chloe said.

"Oh I'm so hungry!" Fat Amy said standing up.

Chloe giggled and they all sat down. Beca placed Charlotte on her high chair and her and Chloe sat by her sides.

Chloe and Beca enjoyed dinner with their friends and sometimes looked at Charlotte. She was alright, she was laughing and eating and interacting with the others, that's why they were so worried. They wanted her to be okay, they wanted her to stick around for a long time.

I don't know if I should go with the "sad" ending or with the "happy" ending (quotes because the story will have a happy ending anyways) I originally wrote this story with a "sad" ending.
