In science class, Evie sat taking notes before a boy with brown hair looked over at her from across the table. Evie smiled a little and leaned towards Doug, who sat next to her, "Any chance he's in line for a throne? Anywhere in line?" Evie whispered. Doug looked up from his work and glanced at who she was talking about, only to be surprised, "Chad? Prince Charming Jr? He's Cinderella's son. He inherited his mother's looks but he's not all... There, there, if you know what I mean." Doug sighed, shaking his head. "He seems there there to me," Evie smirked a little, watching as Chad stared into space. Behind him, the professor piped up, "Evie. Perhaps this is just a review for you. So, tell me, what's the atomic weight of silver?" He asked, unamused at her behavior. Evie was just as unimpressed with his behavior. The Isle had decent schools. And by decent, that meant bare minimum. However, that didn't mean Evie was an idiot. She was smart, that's for sure, she just wasn't smart because of the Isle's education program. "Not much, it's an atom."

She held back most of the bite to her words and looked at the man, daring him to challenge her. "Evie." The professor warned. She sighed and stood up, taking her mirror with her. She went up to the board, taking the piece of chalk the professor handed to her. "How do I find the average atomic weight of silver?" Evie subtly questioned her mirror. That would be 106.905 times .5200, plus 108.905 times .4800, which Mr. Delay." She paused to shoot him an annoyed expression, "Would give us 107.9 atomic mass unit." Evie finished, tucking her mirror into a pocket on her skirt. Mr. Delay looked rather embarrassed, "I forget. Never underestimate-." Evie cut him off with a glare, "A villain?" She asked incredulously, surprised a teacher would even say that. Mr. Delay's face reddened at her words as he looked at him with slight anger, "Well then, don't forget it." She went back to her seat and sat down, seeing a note sitting on her desk. She read it curiously before looking up at Chad. He wanted to meet under the bleachers later. She smiled a bit before nodding, she could do that.

On the Tourney field, Ben was coaching Carlos, "Okay Carlos! We're going to do some sprints, ready?" Ben yelled across the field to him. Carlos shrugged a bit and nodded, crouched on the ground and ready for Ben to blow the whistle. There was a bark from behind him and his eyes widened, fear gripping at him. Before Ben even blew the whistle, Carlos bolted into a sprint, daring to glance behind him. There was a small golden-haired dog chasing after him, barking. Carlos shrieked in terror and bolted faster, racing pact Ben who called after him. Carlos ignored the prince and ran into the forest, weaving down the trails before reaching a tree and climbing up it. "Carlos!" Ben yelled. Carlos looked around with frightened eyes, "Ben!? BEN!?" Carlos yelled back to him. Ben rounded a corner and sighed in relief that he had caught up to the boy. "Ben help me! This thing is killer! A vicious pack animal!" Carlos yelled, pointing accusingly at the dog as the climbed further up the tree. Ben picked up the dog and held up a hand, "Hey, wait. Who told you that?" Ben asked, confused. "My mother," Carlos replied, eyes locked on the dog.

"Cruella?" Ben tilted his head a little. "Yeah. She told me about what happened to her, how she almost died being baked into a cake in an industrial oven! All because of those dogs!" Carlos shut his eyes tightly at the memory of his mother's story. Of course, he remembered the parts before then of her trying to kill the dogs and their owner, but no one deserves what happened to her. Besides, his mother has changed over the years, now actually caring about life though she still doesn't enjoy dogs. Ben looked a little shocked to hear that before looking down at the dog, petting his head, "Carlos, come down here. He isn't going to hurt you, I promise." Ben reassured him. Carlos shot him and the dog a wary glance before hesitantly coming down. "Come on and pet him. He's really nice." Ben petted the dog as well, hoping to show Carlos it was alright. Carlos slowly reaches out, ready to jerk his hand away at any moment before petting the dog. His fear melted away when the dog licked his hand and wagged his tail. Carlos smiled a little, "You don't... Look like a vicious pack animal..." Carlos murmured.

Ben smiled and gently handed the dog over to Carlos, who looked at him scared once again. "It's alright. Nothing bad is going to happen." Ben calmed him. Carlos glanced between the dog in his arms and Ben for a moment before relaxing and nodding, "O-Okay..." "I guess you guys have it pretty rough on the Isle, huh?" Ben asked, a small frown on his face as he remembers Carlos's reaction to the dog. Carlos chuckled bitterly, "Yeah, I guess you could say we don't get a lot of belly rubs..." Ben noticed the tone before deciding to change the subject. "Good boy," Ben said cheerfully, making Carlos look at him funny. "I mean, good job. You ran pretty fast back there, it was great." Ben praised, covering up his mistake. Carlos smiled a little, "Thanks..." Looking between the boy and the dog, Ben smiled a little, "I'll just leave you two to get acquainted, is that alright?" He asked. Carlos mulled it over before deciding he felt safe enough to do that, nodding his response. "Okay then. I'll see you two later. Come find me when you're done." Ben bid his goodbye, starting to walk back down the trail. "Wait!" Carlos called. Ben turned around curiously, "Yeah?" "What's his name?" "...Dude. The campus mutt."

Chad leads Evie by the hand behind the bleachers the cheerleaders were practicing by. Chad stopped under one of the sections and grabbed onto the horizontal pole above his head. Evie stepped back a little to lean against one of the pillars holding up the bleachers. Chad smiled charmingly to Evie, "Is everyone at home as pretty as you?" He asked. Evie felt her heart flutter at the attention, "II like to think I'm the fairest of them all." She breathed out a laugh, Chad chuckling along with her. A question popped into Evie's mind, "How many rooms in your castle?" "Oh! Too many to count." Chad replied strikingly. Evie started to move closer, hopeful to gain a kiss from the young prince until he moved his head away sharply and started, "You really nailed that chemistry problem today. You're gonna have all the nerds in love with you." The way Chad said made it sound like being smart was a bad thing. "I-I'm not that smart." Evie protested. "Oh, come on." Chad playfully scoffed. "No, really, I'm not. But I'm- I'm really good at sewing and cooking and cleaning. You know, like your mother, Cinderella?" Seeing she wasn't getting Chad's attention, Evie pulled out her magic mirror. "See this? It's a magic mirror. If I ask it where something is, it tells me." Chad looked interested, "Really?" He asked, grabbing it after Evie nodded.

"Where is my cell phone?" He asked it. Evie laughed, "It won't work for you silly." She chuckled a little. "No biggie. My dad will just get me a new one." Chad said. "I can help though. Hold on. Magic mirror, where is Chad's cell phone?" Evie paused a moment and looked at the mirror. "Do you recognize this place?" She asked, showing him the mirror. "Oh yeah, it's in Ben's room. Thanks!" Chad grinned brightly, excited to go get his phone back. "No problem." Evie smiled back, eager now that Chad was showing more interest in her. "Hey, I overheard that Fairy Godmother's wand is locked in some boring museum, do they always keep it there?" Evie asked breathlessly as Chad moved closer to her. He didn't appear to hear her and moved away, "You know, I would love to chat, but I'm just- I'm just swamped with all my homework and tourney! Unless..." Chad paused, looking back at Evie. "Unless?" She questioned. "If you could knock out all my homework along with yours then that would give me more time... And we could hang." Chad offered, holding out his book bag to her. The smile dropped off Evie's face as she realized what was going on. Tricksters and liars were all over the Isle after all. She glared at Chad, "Do your own homework and get out of here." She hissed at him, startling him enough to send him running. Groaning to herself, she closed her eyes and leaned back on the pole. 'Of course, he would only be interested in me to do his homework. Rookie mistake Evie...'

Suddenly Doug dove down and was peering at her through the steps of the bleachers, "I couldn't help but overhear-" "Are you stalking me?" Evie exclaimed in surprise. "Technically... Yes." Doug admitted, sitting down on the steps and swinging his legs as he continued, "I, too, have a fascination with Fairy Godmother's wand." Doug slipped through the steps and stood in front of Evie, smiling, "Which is another reason I look forward to the coronation. Perhaps we could sit next to each other and discuss it's attributes?" Doug suggested hopefully. 'He's flirting with me...' Evie thought to herself as she stepped closer to him, making him gulp slightly. "Are you saying they use it in the coronation?" She asked softly. "Yes? And asking you out?" Doug sounded unsure as he nodded, swelling with hope for her answer. Evie laughed, glad that she got some information on the wand before flashing him a pretty smile and walking past him towards the dorms. Doug watched her leave with the beginnings of a lovestruck look on his face.
