You, Mal, Evie, and surprisingly Jane were gathered in your dorm. When Jane first walked in, you and Mal were on your bed, putting the new fitted sheet Evie made on it. "Uh... Why's your bed on the floor? And where are the bedframes?" Jane asked. You and Mal looked up from what you were doing, not expecting to have to explain it to anyone. Luckily, Evie jumped in without hesitation, "Mal and (Y/n) used to share beds on the Isle since they were little until they separated. But now being in a new and strange place, they find sleeping together helps relieve stress." Evie lied flawlessly. Jane took it immediately as truth before continuing, trudging over to the two trunks at the foot of the floor bed and sitting down on it, talking to Mal. "Mom said 'If a boy can't see the beauty within, then he's not worth it.' Can you believe that? What world is she living in!?" Jane exclaimed, sighing dramatically. Mal snorted as she continued to put the sheet on with you. "Auradon." "Mal, (Y/n)." Evie called, making both of you look over, "Do you like?" She held up a nice looking dark blue and black dress. "Yeah. Brings out your eyes." Mal complimented. "It's cute." You agreed, giving her a smile. "Ha! It's done!" Mal exclaimed in relief. It was such a pain trying to put that thing on. "This is why I sleep in a nest." Mal murmured in annoyance. You snickered and Jane looked over in confusion, having not heard her.

"I'll never get a boyfriend." Jane whimpered. "Boyfriends are overrated," Mal replied automatically. "How would you know Mal? You've never had one." Evie asked smugly. "I don't need one E. Besides, I've seen (Y/n) with hers. Their love was disgusting." Mal lied, pretending to shudder. You laughed and shoved her, knowing she was just playing around. "You have a boyfriend?!" Jane squealed in excitement. You looked at her and laughed a little, waving it off, "No, I used to. We're just friends now." You replied easily. "What was he like?" Jane asked, leaning forward eagerly. You sighed, seeing she wasn't going to drop it. "He was snarky and sarcastic and dramatic," Mal spoke up, laughing when you pinched her. "He was nice and very kind to me. We were always laughing together, and he would comfort me when I was upset if Mal or Evie didn't get there first." You and Mal shared a look with Evie.

You softened as you looked at Jane whose eyes were sparkling with amazement, "He's one of my best friends." You admitted. janes squealed in delight, "That is amazing!" Suddenly there was a sharp and preppy knock on the door before a tall girl in a flower dress walked in. "Hey, guys! I'm Lonnie... My mom's Mulan?" Lonnie said as if you should already know this. You and Mal were now sitting on your beds and looked at her blandly, "And?" Mal asked. "Anyway, I love what you did to jane's hair and I know you hate us and well, you're evil... But do you think that you could do mine?" Lonnie asked, reaching up to touch her helmet cut. You and Mal blinked at each other at her audacity. "Why would we do that for you?" Mal asked, her voice rising in pitch at the gall of this girl. "I'll pay you 50 dollars?" Lonnie offered. Evie stood up, taking the bag. "Good answer. I need to buy more material." Evie said before moving Lonnie over to the mirror. "Let's see, I'm thinking we lose the bangs, maybe some layers and some highlights," Evie suggested.

"Yeah, no, I want it cool. Like Mal's." Lonnie said, grinning over at Mal as if it would make Mal more inclined to fix her hair. "Really? The split ends too?" Evie asked, teasing Mal as mal gave her a look. Evie jingled the coin purse with a smirk before motioning to the bed she had just made a sheet for. "Ugh, fine." Mal groaned. "I'll do it, don't worry." You told your twin, standing up. "Oh, I don't know about that-" Lonnie said, but it was already too late. With a small wave of your hand, your amber magic came out and blew over to Lonnie's hair. Lonnie looked into the mirror and saw her hair grow lighter in color and lengthen, curling at the ends. Her hair had highlights and small layers in it to show more of the curls and her bangs had lengthened enough to drape behind her ears. "Exactly! Nicely done (Y/n)." Evie praised, noticing you considered her suggestions. "I-I love it!" Lonnie breathed, feeling her hair. Looking down at her skirt, she tore a slit into it, grinning, "Now I'm cool." Lonnie said, grinning widely. Jane copied her actions before gasping in horror, "Oh no, what have I done? My mom's going to kill me!" You rolled your eyes slightly and waved your hand once again, much like you've seen your mother do when she forgets she doesn't have her magic anymore. The skirt repaired itself, not that Jane noticed while she was freaking out.

Jay was sitting next to his coach on the bleachers, "I could really use a tough guy like you. The team's a bunch of princes if you know what I mean." Coach shook his head. Jay's voice held a bit of amusement as he responded, "You're telling me. It's all, 'After you old chum. Oh, pardon me, did I bump into you?' Where I come from, it's 'Prepare to die, sucker.' As my father says," Jay stood up, the coach following him to calm the boy down. "'The only way to win is to make sure everyone else loses! You rip-!'" Coach cut him off, "Jay! Jay, Jay, Jay!" Coach led him to sit back down. "Let me explain a team to you. Uh, it's like a family." Coach tried and failed to explain. "You do not want to be at my house around dinner time." Jay looked at the coach seriously, remembering the chaos of dinners back with everyone. "Okay, okay, um... You know how your body has different parts? Like your legs, your feet, your arms... Well, a team is kind of like that! Everyone works together to make the body movement." the Coach tried once again. Jay slowly smirked, "I'll be the fist." He held up his own fist as he said so. Coach laughed, "Alright! Now, I have something for you." Coach reached down and pitched something up from a bag at his side, bringing it out and unfolding it. It was a blue Auradon tourney jersey with Jay's name on it and the number 8.

Jay was excited to go show his friends his new jersey. It was just given to him, he didn't even have to steal it! Walking into the room, he grinned widely, "Yo-ho-ho!" Jay laughed, closing the door behind him and turning in a circle, "Check it out!" Carlos gave a wolf-whistle, his own quiet congratulations as you and the girls gave him a smile before going back to their work. You and Mal were sitting on your bed with Carlos leaning against the trunks. Evie was designing a new dress at the table by the window. Jay walked over and sat down on top of them. "So, did your plan work with Jane? Are you going over to see the wand?" Jay asked. "No, (Y/n) and I are trying to come up with a new plan since we can't take the wand from the museum." Mal almost snapped at him. "Well, someone is in a bad mood," Jay mumbled, leaning back where he sat. "Our mom is counting on us!" You protested. "We can't leave her locked up there for any longer. She's been trapped without nature for too long and your parents have been there too long as well!" Mal exclaimed, furrowing her brows at Jay. He held up his hands, "We can do this if we stick together. I believe in us." "And we won't go back until we do," Mal added, making everyone nod in agreement. "Oh yeah, I found out Fairy Godmother blesses Ben with the wand at the coronation and we all get to go." Evie piped up casually, making you and Mal slowly turn your heads to look at her. "I have nothing to wear, of course." Evie scoffed, shaking her head as she went back to sketching a new design. There was a knock at the door and you got up, letting Mal handle Evie.

As Mal scolded Evie for not telling her sooner, you answered the door, opening to reveal Ben. He looked up and saw you, practically blossoming with happiness that you answered the door, "Hey, (Y/n)." He greeted, his tone nervous and hesitant. "I didn't see you guys today; I was just wondering if you had any questions or anything... That... You needed...?" He trailed off as if looking for an excuse to be there. You glanced back to everyone, who had all gotten up and come towards the door curiously. Mal and Evie had odd expressions on their faces as you looked back to Ben, "Not that I know of." You replied easily. "Alright! Well, uh, if you need anything, just uh..." Ben backed away from the door as he tried to think of how to continue. "Oh wait!" You remembered Evie's comment. Ben stopped, his hands clasped in from of him and he stepped forward, his eyes locked on you as he waited for what you were going to say. "Is it true that we get to go to your coronation?" You asked. "Yeah, the whole school goes," Ben replied easily, seeming to relax. "That's pretty exciting." You admitted, watching as he shifted his weight and grinned more. "Do you think it's a possibility that the five of us could be in the front row to watch and soak up some of that goodness?" You asked, leaning forward curiously. Ben brought up his hands, a reply on the tip of his tongue before he seemed to struggle with himself for a moment, "I wish you could." Ben replied, putting his hands together in front of him. "Upfront it's just me, my folks, and my girlfriend."

"And your girlfriend?" Mal echoed, making his eyes flick towards her for a moment before going back to you. "Yeah, I'm sorry." He apologized. "Okay, thanks, bye!" Mal said, coming forward and pulling you back to shut the door. "Oh, but, no there's plenty of-!" Ben cut himself off as the door shut and dropped his hand that was reaching out to stop it before sighing. Mal looked back at the room and smirked, "I think it's time that Benny boo gets himself a new girlfriend." She grinned, "And I need a love spell." Evie took out her mirror, "On it." You looked at Mal curiously, "You're gonna date Ben?" You asked, surprised your sister even wanted to date in the first place. "Oh no, not me. You." Mal laughed. Your jaw dropped as you stared at her, "Me!?" "Of course! You've already been in a relationship, you know how to act around a boyfriend. Besides, don't think I haven't seen the way he's been staring at you." Mal teased. Evie chuckled, "Yeah, he's been acting like he's been spelled since the moment he met you." She commented. Your cheeks flushed, "Hey! That's not true." You were met with looks from everyone and you looked down, embarrassed, "I haven't been encouraging him." You weakly defended. "You didn't need to," Mal replied, looking over Evie's shoulder as she asked her magic mirror for a love spell. "Love spell cookies. Perfect! Let's go find the kitchens." "I never agreed to this." "Come on (Y/n), do it for Mom." "...Fine."
