30. Petty (canon~New York)

It is mid morning when Louis bumped into Donna at the firm's kitchen, who's making her coffee. He chatted with her and started showing her the pictures of the nursery for their baby then Harvey came in.

"Louis good you're here!" He said. Donna glanced at Harvey before turning around to get her coffee from the kitchen counter.

"Hey Harvey, did you forget something? I was just in your office"

"No, but can you tell Donna that I'm gonna be home late tonight and not to wait up. Thanks" Harvey left right after. Louis was confused with what just happened. It's as if Donna wasn't there with him.

"Okayy.. did you want me to repeat that?!" Louis asked.

"No Louis. Heard it loud and clear" she said and sighed.

"Okay is this some kind of a kink you two have? Are you making fun of me?"

"A kink?! And no Louis we're not making fun of you"

"Trouble in paradise already?" Louis asked.

Donna told Louis that she and Harvey had a petty fight this morning before leaving for work. And they both didn't want to admit defeat so they stopped talking to each other.

"You're shitting me?! I cant believe I have a real relationship problem than you and Harvey! I need a day!"

"You want me to what now?!" Alex was surprised with what Donna asked of him.

"Nevermind!" She went to Alex's office because she wanted him to tell Harvey that she's buying groceries tonight and if there's anything that he needs.

She resorted to just e-mailing him.

'Mr. Harvey Specter,

I will be going for groceries after work. If there's anything you need, kindly let me know.

Regards,

Donna Paulsen

COO, Specter Litt Wheeler Williams'

She sent the e-mail an hour ago and he hasn't replied yet. It means he didn't need anything or he's too petty to reply. She gathered up her things so she could leave when Katrina came into her office.

"Katrina I'm already heading out"

"I can see that, I just want to hand this to you. From Harvey." She said in a confused tone. Katrina handed her a small envelope with the firms name on the middle and it was addressed to her. 'To the office of Donna Paulsen'

Katrina left her office and didn't ask what it was but it left her confused as to why Harvey asked her to hand Donna the envelope.

The envelope contained a list of things he needed from the grocery. It was printed with the firm's name at the top as if it's a legal document.

"He's so fucking petty!" She murmured with annoyance.

She did the grocery and put it out in the fridge and cupboards.

She's already at his place lounging at the sofa with her new book when she heard the door open. She didn't expect him to be early because he said he'll be out late tonight.

"Thought you'd be out late tonight" she couldn't take it anymore so she started the conversation already.

"Oh we're talking now?!" He asked sarcastically.

"Do you seriously wanna do this?" She's already annoyed.

"No. Because I'm sorry. I don't want a day like this not talking to you."

She's surprised that he's caving in. But she doesn't want to continue the pettiness anymore so she apologized too.

"Now where are the stuff I asked you to buy? I'm making us dinner."

"That's for our dinner?"

"Yes. To make it up to you" He wanted to go to the grocery with her, because they've never done that. And he didn't want to be petty anymore. Unfortunately, the client needed him badly. He cancelled the meeting after that so he could cook for the both of them instead.

"So you haven't really been mad when you gave Katrina the envelope with your list"

"No. And I was gonna call you but my phone died. I saw Katrina pass by the conference room I was in so I told her to give you the envelope"

"You're an idiot" She smiled at hime and took the things out that was on his list.

"Now get out of my kitchen so I can cook" he ordered her jokingly.

"I can help" she proudly offered, even though they both know she cant.

"Sure. Go sit at the bar stool and be pretty" He told her, unless he wants his place to burn.

She chose the vinyl disk instead and poured them some wine. She watches him as he take the reigns in the kitchen.

"Just so you know I won" she said proudly while they're having dinner.

"I will never win again, will I?"

"When did you ever anyways?" She bantered.

He just smiled and shook his head. It doesn't matter who won the petty fight. The fact that he has Donna, he already won in life.

End.
