"ADAM DON'T!" Blake yelled jolting awake.
"Whoa." Sun said. "Whoa. It's okay. I'm here. Don't worry. It's okay. I'm here."
Blake hugged Sun and cried into his shoulder.
'Damn you Adam!' Sun thought. 'Damn you!'
Blake just held Sun while she calmed down.
"What was this one about?" Sun asked.
"Adam killed my mom and dad again."
Sun hugged Blake just a little bit tighter. "It's not real. He didn't kill them. He won't kill them. We won't let him."
Blake hugged Sun just a little tighter.
"Obsidian." Sun whispered.
There was a flash of light and Sun changed into his muscle form.
Blake leaned into him and slowly fell back asleep.
'Grimm will come for us.' Sun thought. 'I'll let her sleep a little longer before we head out again.'
He looked over at Blake and saw her start to shiver.
He put his arm around her and held her close.
They stayed there a little longer before he noticed something.
'No Grimm.' He thought.
'No. You are keeping them away.'
'How?'
'All of the Heralds can keep Grimm away its one of our abilities.'
'So, we can keep the Grimm away?'
'Yes, but only so long as the Grimm are roaming free. If they are being controlled or led them, you will not be able to scare them off.'
'Seems fair.'
'Yes. It is the Balance of the Heralds.'
'Can the Alpha scare Grimm away?'
'Yes. The Alpha is strong enough to keep the Grimm away with his mere presence.'
'Jason can't.'
'Then this Jason is either not the Alpha, or he hasn't come into his power yet.'
'I'm pretty sure Jason is the Alpha. I mean. He's freaking strong.'
'Are you sure it isn't his willpower?'
'What do you mean?'
'There is a difference between being the Alpha and having an indomitable willpower.'
'I'm pretty sure he's both.'
'Good. We will need him if we are to win the upcoming battle.'
'What are we up against?'
'The opposition we are fighting is the most brutal opponent we will ever meet. She controls the Grimm as easily as you breathe.'
'She sounds terrifying.'
'She is...'
They were interrupted by a growl.
Sun looked around and saw a shape moving through the trees.
"Hey there buddy." He said putting his hand out.
The figure limped out into the light of the campfire.
"Whoa." Sun said surprised. "Where'd you come from?"
A tiger limped out towards him.
Sun looked at the limp. "Who hurt you buddy?"
The tiger growled at him.
Sun slowly reached forward and placed two fingers on the tiger's forehead.
'Oh. What's the oath thing again?'
'What oath?'
'You know. The oath thingy that unlocks Aura.'
'Oh. I do not know. Just say my name.'
'Will that work?'
'It can't hurt anything to try.'
Sun touched the tiger's forehead and spoke. "Oblivion."
The tiger glowed White before an amber Aura covered it.
The tiger fell asleep next to Sun.
Sun laid down and looked up at the stars before slowly drifting off to sleep.
He woke up the next morning to the feeling of sandpaper on his chin.
'Who is doing that?' He thought.
The feeling didn't go away, and he opened his eyes.
He sat up and saw the tiger from the night before.
'Oh. So that wasn't a dream.'
The tiger kept licking him until he stood up. He reached into his bag and grabbed a few granola bars before looking at Blake.
She was still asleep.
'I don't blame her.' He thought. 'She only had a few hours of sleep last night.'
He laid down and looked up at the sky.
The tiger laid down next to him.
"Hey there buddy." He said scratching the tiger's side.
The tiger chuffed and laid on his legs.
They stayed like that for an hour.
After that hour Sun got up and looked through his bag.
"Well. Looks like we are going to have to make trip to a store." Sun said. "We are pretty low on supplies."
The Tiger chuffed.
"Glad you agree buddy. We need to decide on a name for you."
"What about 'Fluffy'?"
The tiger shook its head.
"Okay. What about stripes?"
The tiger shook his head.
"Then what about Kitty?"
"What are you talking about Sun?" Blake asked.
"I'm trying to name my pet tiger." Sun defended.
"You're what?"
"I'm trying to think of a name for my pet tiger."
"That's what I thought you said." Blake said sitting up and looking around.
"What do you think?" Sun asked pointing at the tiger.
"I'm not Hallucinating, am I?"
"Nope. Can I keep him?"
"Only if you promise to take care of it, and that means that you can't name it Fluffy, Stripes, or Kitty."
"Okay. What about Laohu?"
"Seriously? You want your pet tiger, Tiger?"
"Why not?"
"Fine, but only if he likes it."
"Do you like the name Laohu?" Sun asked the tiger.
The tiger seemed to nod its head.
"Great. Laohu. I need you to stay with Blake while I fly to the closest town or village."
Laohu chuffed.
Sun stood up and put 'Berserker' on his back before looking into the sky. "Oblivion!" He shouted.
A lightning bolt hit him, and he changed into his muscle form.
"I'll be back in a bit." He spoke. "Try and get some sleep. We'll leave when I get back."
"Okay." Blake waved.
Sun waved before flying off.
Blake looked at Laohu.
Laohu put his head on Blake's lap, and ran her hand through his fur.
Laohu purred sending vibrations through Blake's body.
Blake laid down and tried getting back to sleep.
Sun landed outside a town and entered from the north gate.
He looked around and saw how deserted the town looked.
"Hello!" He called out. "Is anyone here?"
A group came out to meet him with weapons drawn.
"You guys aren't villagers." He spoke. "Are you mercenaries or bandits?"
"Give us your gear and we'll let you live." The one in front said.
"Yeaahhh. Not going to happen."
'Take the 'Berserker' off your back.' Oblivion said. 'You're going to need it.'
'I don't want too though.' Sun thought.
'Can you feel that?'
'What?'
'That unnatural feeling?'
Sun felt the air, and something did indeed feel off. 'What is that?'
'It feels unholy right?'
'Yeah.'
'That's a cursed object.'
'Which one?'
'Does anything look different than what you're used to seeing?'
Sun looked at the bandits and saw one of them with two fans. One looked like the one Coral used during the breach and the other looked... old.
'Those fans.'
'Let's try not to die while we figure out what It does.'
'I like that idea. Living is good. I can get behind living.'
'Good. You're not as dumb as you look.'
"Hey! I resent that!"
"What?" A bandit asked.
"This guy's crazy." Another bandit said.
"Just kill him." The one on charge said.
The one in charge was a man with sandy colored hair and scruff, pale eyes, wore black pants and boots with a grey long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a vest.
He had a gun belt and bandolier across his chest and wore a red bandanna around his neck.
On his hands he wore a pair of fingerless gloves and was missing a tooth.
"Can't we talk this out?" Sun asked.
"No!" The one in charge yelled. "You crossed the Shad E. Tribe, and you're going to pay for it."
"What kind of name is Shad E.?"
"It's my name!" The man named Shad E. Yelled. "I took over the Branwen tribe after Raven became too week. Now she's chained up in my tent for me to use as I see fit! Not like she can really stop me since she has pretty much given up on living."
"Okay. I'm killing you first." Sun said sending a bolt of concentrated sunlight at Shad E.
Shad E. Jumped out of the way and ran for cover.
"KILL HIM!" He yelled from behind a house.
The other bandits looked at each other before they charged Sun.
Sun grabbed 'Berserker' and tightened his grip feeling the magic wrap around him amplifying his strength.
No one saw his eyes changed color from blue to black sclera's and red Iris's.
He swung 'Berserker' one handed and decapitated the first row on bandits, sending blood shooting into the sky like a blood fountain.
The last group ran back towards Shad E. Screaming in disgust and terror.
The group in the middle looked at him and the one with the fans pulled the fans back and swung them forward.
Coral's fan sent wind dust out at Sun, but the other, older looking fan sent out a burst of wind that cut through the bandits in front of him and hit 'Berserker's' blade and reverberated through Sun's body.
'Note to self...' Sun thought.
'... it can cut through anything.' Obsidian finished.
The fan Wielder swung the cursed fan again, cutting through more of his comrades.
"He doesn't care about his friends!" Sun yelled.
'Welcome to cursed objects 101. The object amplifies the wielders personality. A wielder who is a bandit might become more greedy, bloodthirsty, vicious, and possibly even lustful. Whereas a wielder who is a law-abiding citizen might become even more patriotic.'
"Where do I fit in?"
'You are a kind and caring person. Therefore, it will amplify those traits, and could make you a more protective partner, teammate, and possibly even lover.'
"How do we stop this guy?"
'Kill him.'
"What?"
'Do you have any better ideas!'
"Not at the moment."
'Well then. Chop, chop. No pun intended.'
Sun looked out at the bandits and saw that there were only a handful left.
He ran at them and cut one in half from their left shoulder to right hip before he kicked him into the woman behind him covering her in blood and gore before he decapitated her and sent her head into another woman's chest shattering her Aura and caving her chest in.
He backhanded a bandit with 'Berserker', crushing his skull before he jumped in the air and brought 'Berserker' down on the fan wielder cutting him in half vertically.
He picked up the fans and put them in the hem of his armor before he flew over the village and saw Shad E. Running away with the rest of the bandits.
He followed them back to their camp, and landed outside the tent Shad E. Had run into.
He opened the tent flap and saw Shad E. Sitting in a chair with a woman who looked an awful lot like Yang wearing what could only generously be called clothes.
It looked like a bikini if there was only half of the bikini top that just barely covered her breasts and the bottom looked more like a piece of fabric that covered her...
Sun shook his head. And aimed a finger at Shad E. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you."
Shad E. Pulled the woman in front of him like a human shield.
'Put her out of her misery.' Obsidian said. 'She has no Will to live.'
'But she's innocent.'
'No, she's lost the Will to live. Kill her and put her out of her misery!'
Sun threw 'Berserker' like he'd seen Pyrrha do in her fights.
Once he wasn't holding 'Berserker' anymore, the fog was lifted from his mind and he realized what he'd done.
His eyes changed color again, back to white sclera's and blue iris's.
"NO!" He shouted.
'Berserker' cut through the woman's neck decapitating her and cut Shad E.'s head off from the nose up.
"What have I done!?" He asked.
'You saved that woman from a fate worse than death. You should be proud of yourself.'
Sun stayed silent.
'These are the hard choices you will have to make from now on. I am sorry, but this is the life of the Light.'
Sun picked himself up and grabbed 'Berserker' before walking out of the tent.
There were a handful of bandits left, and they all pissed themselves when they saw him and the blood covered battle axe.
"From now on!" He spoke. "You are no longer bandits! I don't care what you do, just stop being bandits!"
"This is all we've ever known." A woman said. "We were born into this clan. We know nothing else."
"The way I see it, you have two options. Stop being bandits or die." He said showing them 'Berserker'.
"We'll stop!" A bandit yelled.
"Good."
With that Sun flew into the sky and off towards a town so he could replenish his and Blake's supplies.
Blake had just woken up from a nap and was petting Laohu when she heard a twig snap.
She jumped up and drew 'Gambol Shroud' and dropped into a battle stance.
Laohu got ready to pounce.
Sun stepped out of the brush looking like crap.
He put the bags of food on the ground next to the fire and fell to the floor in exhaustion.
"SUN!" Blake yelled when she saw his blood-soaked form. "What happened!? Are you hurt?!"
"I'm just tired." Sun said tiredly.
"What happened?"
"I went to a village that had been taken by bandits. I killed them. Then I followed the survivors and..." he shuddered. "I... I killed the leader."
"Were they innocent?"
"NO!" Sun yelled. "He wasn't. He wasn't innocent."
"Was he a threat?"
"Yes."
"Was he a danger to innocent people?"
"Yes."
"Then you did the right thing. You took a monster out of society."
"I'm not upset that I killed him. I'm upset at how I killed him."
"How did you kill him?"
"With 'Berserker'." Sun said. "I slaughtered them."
"You said that they weren't innocent. It was better to kill them than let them live to kill others."
"Maybe you're right. I'm going to get some shut eye."
"Okay. Get some rest." Blake said kissing him on the forehead.
Sun drifted off to sleep to Blake running her fingers through his hair.
The next morning.
Sun woke up to the same sandpaper feeling he felt the day before followed by the smell of food cooking over a campfire.
He sat up and stretched.
"Hey buddy." He said scratching Laohu behind the ears. "How did you sleep?"
Laohu chuffed and purred into his hand.
"The better question is..." Blake said. "...How did you sleep?"
"I'll be okay."
"Let me know if you need help."
"I will. Thanks."
"You're welcome." Blake said handing him a plate with some fruit, vegetables, and some sausage links.
"Thanks." Sun said digging into his breakfast.
"How long do you think we have until we get to Haven?"
"I'd say no more than two days if we keep going like this. Too bad that Laohu can't fly."
Laohu began glowing amber, and he grew bulkier with sturdy front legs and powerful back legs.
His fur grew longer, thicker, and coarser.
His teeth elongated leaving his canines at ten inches and his smallest teeth at one inch, and his larger teeth between one and two inches.
His tail shrunk down to about a foot in length and two inches in diameter.
He roared causing Blake to cover her ears.
"Laohu?" Sun asked. "Is this a Semblance?"
Laohu nodded, and nuzzled Sun.
"Whoa!" Sun said startled. "Your fur is like nails."
"What?" Blake asked.
"Feel it." Sun said.
Blake ran her fingers through Laohu's fur and was startled to feel how coarse it was.
"Whoa. You're right."
"Right!"
Laohu grabbed Sun's bag and ran away at startling speed before running back.
"Looks like you're fast." Sun laughed. "Okay. Let's tear down camp and get going."
They finished breakfast before tearing down camp.
Sun grabbed Blake and changed into his muscle form before he took to the sky, and Laohu ran after him.
They were going to make great time this way.
Blake, Sun, and Laohu walked onto Haven Academies Campus.
"Home sweet home." Sun said.
There were walking when they heard someone behind them.
"Blake?" Ruby asked before rushing forward and glomping her. "OHMYGOSH!I'MSOGLADYOU'REALIVEANDNOTDEAD!IWASSOSCAREDTHELASTTIMETHATISAWYOU!ITHOUGHTADAMWASGOINGTOKILLYOU!"
"Whoa, whoa." Sun said. "Slow down. Say that again, only slower."
"Oh my gosh! I'm so glad you're alive and not dead! I was so scared the last time I saw you! I thought Adam was going to kill you!"
Blake flinched at Adam's name.
"Blake?" Ruby asked.
"Ruby?" An unfamiliar voice said. "You can't just run off like that. Not all of us have a speed Semblance."
"Who are you little dude?" Sun asked.
"Hi Sun." Oscar said.
Blake and Sun stared at the kid.
"Oh. Sorry." He spoke. "My name is Oscar." He said outstretching his hand.
"How do you know my name?" Sun asked.
"This might be hard to believe." Oscar said. "But my consciousness is from a few months in the future."
"What?" Blake asked."
'Perhaps I can explain better.' Ozpin suggested.
Oscar let Ozpin take control.
"Miss Belladonna. Mr. Wukong." Ozpin nodded.
"Professor Ozpin?" Blake asked.
"Yes. I am sure that you have questions."
"Yeah."
"In the simplest terms that you will understand quickly. I am the man with two souls."
"What? Do you mean that you're a character from a book?"
"Yes. Though I can assure you that it is true. Almost all of the fairy tales from Remnant are true."
"If you are Professor Ozpin. Then why are you being so forthcoming?"
"After several millennia of keeping secrets... I have seen the consequences of keeping those secrets."
"What happened?" Sun asked.
"All but Ruby, Oscar, and myself perished because of my secrets."
"Then why the change of heart after all the Millennia?" Sun asked.
"The consequences were far too dire this time."
"This time?" Blake asked.
"Yes."
"It also helps that we told everyone the truth so he couldn't hide anymore." Ruby said.
"Yes." Ozpin said
"And what exactly is the truth?" Blake asked harshly.
Ruby told Blake and Sun the truth about Ozpin, the maidens, and Salem.
"Is every fairytale about Remnant true?" Blake asked harshly.
"Yes." Ozpin said.
Sun lunged at Oscar.
Ruby blitzed Oscar out of the way. "I know that you hate Ozpin, but don't take it out on my boyfriend!" She yelled.
"Boyfriend?" Blake asked.
"Uh... um." Ruby said tapping her fingers together.
"Yes." Ozpin said. "Miss Rose, and Mr. Pine have become quite fond of each other."
"So, you're using him like a body suit, and a human shield!" Blake yelled.
"I suppose that is one way of looking at it."
"So, we can't even get mad at you!" Sun yelled.
"No. You can..."
"But we can't do anything about it because you're hiding behind an innocent!" Blake yelled pointing at Oscar. "You're no better than Adam!"
"Blake!" Ruby said pointing at Blake's hand. "What happened!?"
Blake pulled her hand back.
"Adam happened." Sun said. "He cut off Blakes fingers, and her dad's arm."
"WHAT!" Ruby yelled.
"Yeah." Sun said. "We were kind if hoping that Jason could help with a Prosthetic hand. Do you know where he is so we can find him?"
"He's in Mistral with Weiss right now."
"Really?"
"Yeah. We train for six days of the week and have Sundays off. They spend it together. Today they went into Mistral."
"Okay."
"Hey!" A voice yelled from the road leading to Haven. "How are you guy's doing?"
"Hey!" Sun yelled. "How are you guys doing!"
Jason and Weiss walked up.
Jason was wearing a pair of black combat boots with a pair of black, cargo, boot cut pants, and a charcoal grey muscle shirt.
He looked like he was wearing a pair of glasses, and his hair had been cut to a buzz cut.
He had a sword on his hip, a messenger bag like across his chest, and a smile on his face.
Weiss was wearing a pair of blue skinny jeans with a white tank top, and a pair of wedges.
Her hair was braided down her back, and she was glowing.
She had a messenger bag that went across her chest like Jason's, and 'Myrtenaster' on her hip
"Blake!" She yelled with a wave.
Blake waved back.
Weiss handed Jason her bag and ran towards Blake.
Blake held her arms open, and hugged Weiss.
Jason walked up to Sun and shook his hand.
"What happened to your eye's dude?"
"They got cut out." Jason said. "What happened to you?"
"WHAT?" Blake asked shocked.
"Let's go to the house." Jason said. "We'll get something to eat, and I'll tell you the story."
They walked back to the house that Weiss and Jason were sharing.
Blake looked at the back of Weiss's shoulder, and Jason's bicep.
They had a tattoo.
The tattoo was the Schnee family snowflake with a red bat symbol.
"When did you guys get those?" She asked.
"These?" Weiss asked touching the tattoo on her back.
"Yeah."
"Today." Weiss said. "I don't know if Ruby told you, but we have been training everyday but Sunday."
"Yeah. Why?"
"We needed to." Jason said ominously.
Weiss squeezed his hand before continuing. "Since we are training all week, we only have Sundays to relax. Today we went into Mistral and walked around."
"What did you guys do?" Ruby asked.
"We made this crest." Weiss said taking a piece of paper out of her pocket and handing it to Blake.
Blake looked at it and saw the Schnee snowflake with a red bat symbol in the center.
"What is this?" She asked.
Weiss held out her left hand.
Blake looked at it and saw the engagement ring.
"Weiss! You're getting married?!"
"Uh-huh." Weiss said.
"Congratulations!" She said hugging her.
"Thank you." Weiss said hugging her back.
Blake looked at Jason and fought back her fear.
"Don't you dare hurt her."
"I won't." Jason said. "But why are you afraid of me?"
Blake felt afraid for a split second before Sun cut in.
"She thinks that you are going to blame her for the Fall of Beacon because she used to be a White Fang member."
"SUN!" Blake yelled.
"Blake." Jason said. "I don't blame you for Beacon's fall. That was Adam and Cinder."
"Hey Jason." Sun said. "How proficient are you at making Prosthetics?"
"Not great, but not bad. Viridian is by far better. Why?"
Sun took Blake's hand and held it out.
Jason took Blake's hand a gently as he could and looked at it. "What happened?" He asked softly, but obviously hiding his rage.
"Adam happened." Sun said. "He has a sword called..."
"'Agony'?" Jason asked.
"Yeah. How did you know?"
"The Alpha told me."
"OBSIDIAN!" Sun yelled changing into the Champion of Light.
"Alpha." Obsidian said.
"Obsidian. How have you been?"
"This new host is a bit of a drama queen."
"He's a good friend."
"I never said I was going to hurt him."
"True. Is it true that 'Agony' has been found?"
"Yes."
"Damn. I thought I hid it somewhere no one could find it."
"You're not perfect. A place that was safe five hundred years ago may not be safe anymore."
"What about the other weapons?"
"I don't know."
"Okay. We need to find out."
"Agreed, but I did find this." Obsidian said handing the 'Berserker' great axe to Jason.
Jason took it and felt a surge of power.
He looked the great axe over and saw symbols he didn't recognize.
'Allow me.' The Alpha said taking over.
"It says: ᛒᛖᚱᛋᛖᚱᚲᛖᚱ." The Alpha said.
"What does that mean?" Blake asked.
"It's the language of the Gods."
"I see."
"Can we get Blake a prosthetic hand?" Obsidian asked. "It's my fault she lost those fingers. If I had reacted faster, then she wouldn't have lost them."
"Let's do that." The Alpha said letting Jason take control.
"Let's go." Jason said.
They walked to the armory and sat down at the table.
"Now." Jason said. "I won't be able to do much right now. When we get back to Atlas, we can have Viridian make you a decent Prosthetic..."
"Um." Weiss said. "Why not take her to Atlas, have Viridian make the Prosthetic, and come back when you're done?"
"We could." Jason said.
"How would we get there?" Blake asked.
"Like this." Jason said cutting a portal in the air.
"That's new." Sun said.
"Yeah." Jason said. "I picked it up along the way. You guys coming?"
"I'll stay here." Weiss said. "To tell them what happened and take Sun to meet up with his Team."
"Wait, what?" Sun asked.
"Okay. I'll see you later." Jason said hugging Weiss and kissing her before walking through the portal with Blake.
"Come on." Weiss said. "I can show you the pictures Jason and I took while we were out in Mistral on the way."
"I just can't wait to meet my Team again. It's been a while."
"That it has."
"So. What do the pictures look like?"
Weiss took out two strips of pictures.
"We just went to one of those picture booths." Weiss said showing him the pictures.
The pictures showed Weiss with her back towards the camera crossing her arms and looking over her shoulder with half lidded eyes.
Jason was standing at an angle facing the camera with his arms crossed.
The visor made him look pissed.
The thing that stood out were their tattoos.
They had strategically placed themselves to get the best lighting to show off their tattoos.
"Wow." Sun said. "That's pretty cool."
"This one is my favorite though." Weiss said taking out her Scroll and looking through her pictures.
She showed him the same picture, but the lighting was black and ethereal, their tattoos glowed. The snowflake glowed blue and the bat glowed red.
Their eyes had been edited to glow too.
Weiss's eye's glowed a soft snowy blue, and Jason's glowed a murderous red.
"Holy shit!" Sun yelled, jumping back. "Jason looks like a demon, and you look like an angel."
"That's why it's my favorite."
"Are you going to send those out?"
"Yes, but not yet."
"Cool."
They walked up to a door, and Weiss knocked.
They waited a few seconds before the door opened.
Atlas.
Viridian was working on Beacon II when he smelled Ozone.
He turned around to see Jason and Blake standing behind him.
"Jason? What're ye doin' here lad?"
"Blake needs a prosthetic." Jason said.
"Wha' happened lass?"
Blake held her hand close to her chest before sheepishly holding her hand out to Viridian.
Viridian gingerly took her hand. "Oh no." He spoke. "Who did this ta ya?"
"Adam." Blake said. "He has this sword that dissipates Aura and cauterizes the wounds."
"It's a sword called Agony." The Alpha said.
"I see." Viridian said. "Let's go ya th' lab. Geoff'll be in there, and ye two can catch up."
Jason followed them to a workshop.
"What is this place?" Jason asked.
"Ah. This is Beacon II."
"Beacon II?" Blake asked.
"Yeah. It was Geoff's idea."
"What was my idea?" Geoff asked walking into the workshop.
"Geoff!" Blake yelled running up and hugging him.
"Hey Blake." Geoff said returning the embrace.
"Geoff." Jason said walking up and grabbing his hand before pulling him into a bro hug. "Been a while."
"Yeah." Geoff said. "How have things been since you left?"
"Got a new Semblance."
"Nice. What does this one do?"
"Creates portals to someone I have a connection to."
"Cool. Anything else?"
"I'm going ta take Blake and make her Prosthetic." Viridian said. "You two can come find us when you're done catching up."
"Okay." Geoff said before he and Jason followed. "So have you seen the rest of Team SAPH?"
"No. We ran into Team RNGR."
"Who?"
"Ruby, Nora, Jaune, and Ren."
"Okay."
"Summer, Tai, and Qrow joined us. Turns out Qrow is Ruby's dad."
"I see. How is Ruby taking tha'?"
"Not well. I mean she's taking it better since Oscar arrived, but..."
"Who's Oscar?" He asked.
"Here's where things get crazy." Jason said.
He told Geoff, Viridian, and Blake about Oscar and Ruby coming back in time, and how Oscar and Ozpin are sharing the same body.
"Well then." Geoff said. "That's... distressing."
"You don't know the half of it." Blake said.
Jason told them the story of the creation of the Alpha and the Heralds.
"So Tha's what Velvet is." Geoff said.
The finally arrived at the lab and Viridian looked at Blake.
"This is going ta hurt a little. Would ye like ta sit down or lay down?"
"Sit down I guess." Blake said.
"Okay." Viridian said directing her to a table with a bench.
Blake sat down and watched Viridian grab his gear.
Viridian sat down and got to work.
"Yes." Jason said continuing. "Velvet is a Herald of Darkness. She is the God of Darkness's Bounty Hunter."
"I see."
"Do you know about the weapons?" Blake asked. "I know about them thanks to the Alpha's memories, but that worries me."
"Why?"
"There can't just be seven weapons. There has to be more. There is enough residual magic, as well as semblance's etc. That there can't only be seven. There have to be more out there, and if there are..."
"What do they do?" Blake finished.
"Not just that. What about everyday objects? If you can curse a weapon with magic or a semblance then why not something as obscure as a hairpin or an earring or hell, why not something more intimate."
"What, like a dildo or a vibrator?" Blake asked.
"Yes."
"I think tha' ye are overthinkin' this lad." Viridian said. "This is going ta hurt lass." He said pushing the quickly cooling Metal against Blake's index finger that had been cut off at the first knuckle.
Blake gasped out in pain as the metal fused to her hand and her Aura activated, finishing the process, and healed her hand.
"Are ye okay lass?" Geoff asked.
Blake huffed and gasped before wiping a few tears away.
"Yeah." She spoke. "But why does it hurt so much?"
"This is th' first step in getting ye a good Prosthetic." Viridian said.
"Wait. First step?"
"Aye lass. I'll be puttin' this on." He said pulling out a clawed Gauntlet.
"Why can't you just leave it like this?" Blake asked.
"Because. This isn't a prosthetic. It's just a tether fer the prosthetic."
"What does that mean?"
"Look lass. I know that it's not practical, but I don't have the best materials anymore."
"What do you mean?" Jason asked.
"I've been putting all of my time into getting this up and functional."
"Why?"
"Because." Geoff said. "Follow me."
Jason followed Geoff out of the room and into what looked like a ballroom or gathering hall.
"What is this place?"
"This is one of four gathering halls." Geoff said. "This is a massive ship. So big tha' half of it is underground."
"What?"
"Aye. This ship is big. Really big. There are five massive engines on th' back, four wings on th' back, in th' middle, and in th' front. Each wit' a massive turbine.
Th' bridge is on the first deck as well as th' Anti-Aircraft and Anti-Grimm turrets, th' engine room is at th' back of th' ship and uses a portion of each floor so th' engines are all accessible.
Th' lowest deck houses th' Anti-Grimm and Anti-Personnel guns.
Th' six levels in between are living quarters, dining areas, entertainment areas, and storage."
"Why so much?"
"I think tha' this used ta be or was going ta be a mobile kingdom. Based on th' size. When I'm finished wit' it, th' storage rooms will be storage pods tha' will be able ta detach and fly down ta pick up people in need o' our assistance."
"It's amazing."
"Thanks."
Jason looked around a corner and saw a group of Faunus.
"What are they doing here?"
"We uh... we liberated 'em."
"From the mines?"
"Uh. No. Do ye remember, jus' before ye left, I showed you tha' document of how Faunus are treated?"
"I don't remember seeing that."
"Oh. I showed it ta Winter, Weiss, and Whitley. They used it ta destroy Jacques."
"I see. What exactly was in this document?"
"How th' Faunus are treated in Atlas and Mantle."
"Okay. What did it say?"
Tha' th' Faunus are given four choices of work. Servitude, th' mines, th' Military, and..." Geoff wiped sweat from his forehead. "...th' brothel in Mantle."
"What?"
"Yeah. Viridian, Cliff, and I rescued 'em, and they have been living here since."
"I see." Jason said taking in a deep breath. "What else has been happening?"
Geoff told him about how the Clinic had been progressing, Velvet learning how to coexist with the Rider, and Awena.
Jason listened intently and noticed that Geoff wasn't telling him something.
When Geoff finished Jason looked at him.
"I need a drink." Jason said.
"We don't have any on board."
"Let's go into town then."
"Okay. Let me tell Viridian we're leaving and grab my gear."
They walked back to the lab where Viridian had attached the second prosthetic.
"Hey Viridian." Geoff said. "Jason and I are going ta the pub."
"Don't get wasted!" Viridian yelled. "I might need yer help later, and ye'll need two steady hands."
"I won't." Geoff reassured.
"I will." Jason said.
"Yer Blake's driver." Viridian reminded.
"Yes dad." Jason snarked.
"Good lad." Viridian said either not hearing, or not caring.
Geoff and Jason left the warehouse and headed to Mantle.
Once in Mantle they made their way to the bar.
"So." Jason said. "What was it that you didn't want to tell me?"
"I'm not sure what ye mean."
"Don't lie. I can tell when a person is lying."
"Fine. It's not tha' I don't want ta tell ye. I'm not sure how ta tell ye."
"Give me a hint."
"It involves Tyra."
"Is she alive?"
"YES!" Geoff yelled. "I mean, yes."
"Is she in trouble?"
"Not unless ye call datin' Coco trouble."
"Oh. So, she's dating Coco?"
"Yeah."
"Cool. So long as she's happy."
"She is."
"Good."
They walked into the bar and sat down at a table.
"What'll it be gents?" A chipmunk Faunus waitress asked rubbing her butt.
"Are you okay?" Geoff asked.
"I'll deal." She spoke.
"You shouldn't have to." Jason said.
"Hey!" A patron with a Vacuan accent yelled. "Where's my refill!"
"I'll be there in a minute!" The chipmunk Faunus yelled.
"What did you say to me?" The patron asked harshly.
"I'm sorry." She told Jason and Geoff. "Do you mind if I go help him first?"
"Please." Geoff said. "We don't want you getting in trouble."
The Vacuan glowed a neon green and grew to twelve feet tall before grabbing the girl by the hair and lifting her up.
Jason and Geoff jumped up.
"Put her down!" Geoff yelled.
"And who's going to make me?"
"Why do people always ask tha'?" Geoff asked.
"I'm going to stop you." Jason said walking up to the man. "And I'll do it with one punch."
The man began laughing. "You? Beat me? With one punch?"
"Please don't encourage him." Geoff said.
"You should listen to your friend."
"I was talkin' ta ye." Geoff said. "Please don't encourage him. It won't end well... fer ye."
"And what is this shrimp going to do to me?"
Jason wrapped his fist in Aura before punching the man in the solar plexus.
The man shrank down to his normal height of five feet, and Jason grabbed the chipmunk Faunus.
"Are you okay?" Jason asked her.
"My hear just hurts. thank you."
"Okay. Go over to Geoff while I take care of this little shit."
The Faunus girl walked over to Jason.
"Now then." Jason said glowing the same neon green and bulking up. "What's this Semblance called?"
"H-how?" The man asked weakly."
"I took your Semblance." Jason said as if it were the simplest thing on Remnant. "You won't be using it to hurt anyone else again."
The patrons looked at Jason in terrified awe.
"C-can I get you s-something to drink?" The chipmunk Faunus asked.
"Mistrailean Whiskey, and water." Jason said.
"Earl Grey tea fer me." Geoff said.
"Coming right up." She spoke.
"Was tha' really necessary?" Geoff asked.
"You saw what he was going to do." Jason defended. "What, did you want me to start singing Kumbaya?"
"No, no, but did ye really need ta take his Semblance?"
"I could have taken his arms?"
"Ugh." Geoff sighed. "Yer worse than Scott."
"Should I take that as a compliment?"
"No. Scott will go inta a place guns ablazin', an' beat everyone ta a bloody pulp. Ye on th' other hand will kick th' door in, take everyone's Semblance, and kick their teeth in on th' way out."
"Okay. First. I don't take everyone's Semblances, only the ones who are not worthy of their Semblances. Second. What's so bad about kicking everyone's teeth in if everyone in the room is bad? Would you really want me to leave Cinder alive?"
"NO! But could you actually kill Cinder?"
"I don't know. I mean I beat Raven to a pulp, but that's because I killed two thirds of her family."
"YE WHA'!" Geoff yelled, causing everyone in the bar to look at them.
"I killed two thirds of Raven Branwen's Bandit tribe."
"Oh. I though tha' ye killed Tai and Yang."
"No. Just two thirds of her tribe. She was going to ransom off Weiss, Whitley, and Pyrrha."
"SHE WHA'!"
Everyone looked at them.
The waitress put their drinks on the table.
Jason took a sip of his Whiskey.
"Damn, that's good. I really need to get a case." He said taking a sip of water.
"This earl grey tea isn't bad either." Geoff said.
"So. What should we do about the waitress?"
"If'n we can help her we will."
"How?"
"Bring her back ta Beacon II. If she chooses to."
"Okay."
They sat like that until they finished.
They paid for their drinks and walked back to Beacon II.
When they arrived, they found Viridian and Blake sitting in the lab.
"So?" Jason asked. "How did it turn out?"
Blake turned around and help up a hand with three metallic fingers.
"I see tha' it turned out well." Geoff said.
"It turned out better than well lad." Viridian responded. "Show 'em Blake."
Blake twitched her hand, and a gauntlet unfolded from the fingers covering above her wrist.
The gauntlet was black and purple with purple claws.
She flexed her fingers, and the claws folded into the gauntlet.
"She wouldn' let me keep th' claws out." Viridian pouted, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Because it wasn't practical." Blake said. "You're lucky I let you put flamethrowers in the gauntlets."
"Ye put flamethrowers in th' gauntlets?" Geoff asked.
"Of course, I did lad. What do ye take me fer. A novice?"
"Not at all." Geoff said. "Did ye put one in each?"
"Yeah. There is no such thing as overkill."
"I agree." Jason said.
"Of course, ye do." Geoff said.
"Are we done here?" Blake asked. "As great as it was seeing you all again, I want to get back to Haven."
"I understand." Viridian said. "It was good seeing ya again."
"It was good to see you guys again too. Tell Cliff that I'm sorry I missed him."
"Will do lad."
Jason pulled 'Scarlet' from 'Sunrise' and slashed the air in front of him before he nodded at Viridian and Geoff one last time and walked through the portal.
Blake followed him through the portal.
They walked into the dorms at Haven Academy to see Team SSSN and Weiss talking while Laohu was lying next to Weiss who was petting his side.
"Hi Blake." Sun said.
"Hello Sun."
"So? How did it go?"
Blake held up her hand and showed the three metallic fingers.
"Cool." Sun said encouragingly.
"Show him what Viridian did." Jason said.
Blake twitched her hand and the gauntlet unfolded from the fingers and folded up to her wrist.
"That is so cool!" Neptune said.
"I'll let you guys finish talking." Jason said before leaving.
"Where are you going?" Sun asked.
"I need to go talk to someone." He said before leaving.
He took out his phone and text Oscar.
Jason: Hey Oscar. I'm going to confront Lionheart. You and Ruby want in?
He only had to wait a few seconds before he got a reply.
Oscar: We're in.
Jason: Meet me in the courtyard.
Oscar: On our way.
Jason made his way to the courtyard and was met by Oscar and Ruby.
"You guy's ready?" He asked.
"Yes." Ruby said.
"Let's go." Oscar said.
The group walked towards Lionheart's office.
Jason kicked the door off its hinges.
"What is the meaning of this!" Lionheart yelled.
Jason looked around.
"Jason?" Ruby asked.
Jason took 'Scarlet' from 'Sunrise' and changed 'Sunrise' to its shotgun mode before pointing it at the door and shot.
"What are you doing!" Lionheart yelled.
Jason emptied his magazine into the closet.
"NO!" Lionheart yelled.
Jason opened the closet to show darkness spilling out of it.
"Why were you hiding a Grimm?" Jason asked.
"It's called a Seer Grimm." Oscar said changing into Ozpin.
"What do you mean?" Jason asked. "What's a Seer Grimm?"
"It's how Salem communicates with her agents."
"Really?" Jason asked. "So that means that Lionheart is a traitor."
"Yes. He is. I've been trying to figure out how to confront him."
"Here's how." Jason said before he pointed 'Sunrise' at Lionheart. "Give me a reason not to."
"Y-yo-you are-aren't a murderer?" Lionheart tried.
Jason laughed a cruel laugh in his throat. "Oh. You have no idea what kind of a person I am. You don't know what I'm capable of."
"Wh-what do you mean?"
"Because of you, my Fiancée was kidnapped! BEATEN! VIOLATED! AND NEARLY MURDERED! WHY DO YOU THINK I WOULD JUST FORGIVE YOU OF THAT!"
"You-you're a g-goo-good person."
"Oh. I'm not a good person. I'm the farthest thing from a good person!"
The room got quiet, and everyone looked at Jason.
Jason put 'Sunrise' away.
Lionheart sighed a relieved sigh.
"Leonardo." Ozpin said. "If you want to live, you will leave. Leave Haven Academy, and never return."
"Wh-what? Ozpin. I can't! She'll kill me!"
"Would you rather me kill you?" Jason asked. "I can make it painful beyond belief."
"I-I'll leave."
"Smart choice." Ruby said.
The trio watched as Leonardo left his office in shame.
"I give him until the end of the week." Jason said.
"I need to decide a new headmaster." Ozpin said.
"I have an idea." Jason suggested.
"Who is it?"
AN: Sun and Blake are traveling to Haven and encounter a tiger. It has an Aura, and can have a Semblance, but unlike Zwei's indestructability Semblance it's an evolution Semblance, kind of like Digimon. Sun encounters and destroys what is left of the Branwen Tribe. Sorry for those Raven lovers out there, but after Jason devastated her forces and Yang beat the crap out of her, she lost the will to fight, and Shad E. took over. Sun killed her because of the effect of Berserk, and Obsidian telling his to put her out of her misery. Sun and Blake make it to Haven and meet Ruby and Oscar and aren't too happy about Ozpin. Jason and Weiss show up after spending time in Mistral, and they have the new Schnee-Todd Crest, the Schnee family snowflake with a red bat in the center. Jason takes Blake to Atlas where Viridian crafts her a new Prosthetic hand, and since he's Viridian he has to add a little something extra. While that's taking place Jason and Geoff end up talking and decide to have a drink. Now Jason has a new Semblance to add to his arsenal. If you're wondering about the Squirrel Faunus don't worry. I still have Volume 6, 7, and 8 to go. You'll be seeing her again. Then Jason and Blake go back to Haven and Jason confronts Lionheart with Oscar and Ruby, and they send him packing. If you're worried that now I've veered away from canon let me assure you that I have a plan, and Lionheart will still end up dead, but who is Jason's suggestion for the new Headmaster? I guess you'll have to wait and see. Enjoy.
AN: Here's an Omake that didn't make it into the story. Enjoy.
OMAKE: Jason walked into the house he was staying in and saw Weiss sitting with her right knee under her supporting her, and her left foot on the couch keeping her upright.
She was holding a cup of coffee based on the smell.
She was wearing a pair of designer jeans that looked like they were going to pop under the strain of the stretching they were going through.
The shirt she was wearing had their Emblem in the center of the chest. The sleeves were low cut, and the neck was a low scoop neck, crop top showing just a hint of cleavage.
He took his visor off and cleaned it on his shirt before putting it back on and looking at Weiss again.
"Is something wrong?" She asked.
"NO!" Jason blurted out. "I just wasn't expecting this. It just seems a little... different than what you would normally wear."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"No, not at all. I actually like this relaxed Weiss."
"Really?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"Okay. I'm glad. I asked around while you were gone, and Sage and Scarlet actually give really good fashion advice."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I was a little shocked by it too. I guess it's true what they say. 'You shouldn't judge a book by its cover.'."
"Yeah. So, when did you get the design done?"
"I paid for it to be done while we were in Mistral."
"When you asked me to get you a water?"
"Yeah."
"Okay."
"I have another surprise for you."
"What is it?"
"Sit on the couch and wait for me to text you."
"Okay." Jason laughed.
He helped Weiss up, and sat down while she went upstairs.
He waited until he got a text.
It was from Sun.
Sun: Thanks for helping Blake dude.
Jason: No problem, but you should really be thanking Geoff and Viridian. They are the ones who gave her the new hand.
Sun: But you took her to Atlas to get taken care of.
Jason: If you want to thank them, I have their Scroll numbers.
Sun: Thanks man.
Jason sent Sun Geoff and Viridian's numbers and was just about to put his Scroll away when he got another text.
Weiss: You can come up now. I'm ready and waiting for you.
Jason walked up the stairs and stopped at his door.
He turned the knob and walked in before stopping in his tracks.
Weiss was sitting straight up on her knees on their bed with her knees slightly spread so she was comfortable. She was slightly leaned back so she didn't fall over.
The thing that stopped Jason in his tracks though was the fact that she was only wearing one of his shirts... no, not one of his, but one that would fit him. It was charcoal grey with two red stripes under each arm. In the center of the chest was their emblem.
"Well?" Weiss asked with a slight catch in her voice. "What do you think?"
"What can I say? You look amazing."
"R-really? You aren't just saying that?"
Jason walked over to Weiss and kissed her hard enough to take her breath away.
"Does that answer your question?" He asked.
"Where did that come from?" She asked breathlessly.
"You just bring out the best in me."
"Normally I would say something, but I can't think of anything after that kiss."
"I'll take that as a compliment."
Weiss grabbed Jason and pulled him onto the bed before straddling him.
"It's my turn to leave you breathless." She spoke.
"You can try." Jason smirked.
"Challenge accepted." Weiss said.
AN: This was inspired by something that happened this last month to a comic book artist. Some of his work got "Fixed" and he gave out a "Do it yourself" event. I can't draw to save my life, but I can write. This little Omake is in support to the Artist. Enjoy.
