31. Valentines Day

It's Valentines day. Harvey will be out of the office for the whole day so they decided to celebrate the occasion over dinner. He had made reservations and he told her they'll just meet at home before going to the restaurant.

Once she arrived at her office there's a bouquet of yellow roses already at her desk.

She pulled out the card.

'Happy Valentines, my friend'

Her brows furrowed at the term friend. She doesn't know who the sender is. This isn't the first time she got flowers from an unknown sender on Valentines day, but that was when she was single. She never waste anytime in figuring out the unknown sender of flowers ever since. She started with her day instead.

Just before afternoon, she got another set of bouquet. This time it's different colours of alstroemeria.

'Happy Valentines, my secretary'

She chuckled at the card. She figured it was from Harvey and that she'll get more throughout the day.

She isn't wrong. The next bouquet had a card that says

'Happy Valentines, my COO'

And the next one...

'Happy Valentines, my ex-girlfriend'

"Woahh! Are you making your office into a flower shop? Is this a new business venture?" Mike joked as he step foot into her office and saw the number of bouquets around her office.

"Why do you need one for Rachel? I can give you a discount." She bantered.

"For your information I already gave her one this morning. Who are all those from. Does Harvey knows about these?"

"They are all from Harvey actually"

"That man had really gone soft." He commented before asking Donna for some files.

She brought some of the bouquets home. Harvey wasn't home yet when she got there. She was already done getting ready for their dinner when he arrived with flowers on his hand. It's a classic bouquet of red roses this time.

She smiled once she sighted him with the flowers.

"Another one?" She asks.

"Happy Valentines, my wife" He said while handing her the bouquet.

"Harvey you've gotten me enough of these but thank you" she gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

"I just want to make up for the last thirteen years. I believe I only gave you flowers once and it was for your dressing room" He replied which made her heart warm. He remembers.

"If that's the case I think you owe me another bouquet" she said.

"Why? Did I not cover all of it?"

"You're missing one more thing..." she said before disappearing to their bedroom. She told him to stay put while she gets something.

He couldn't help but figure out what he was missing. She was his friend, secretary, COO, girlfriend and wife. But what else?

"Open it" she instructed.

It was a picture frame inside the box. It was facing down so he had to flip it over to see the picture. But it was not a picture but a handwritten note.

'Happy Valentines, future dad'

He read the note and looked at her. It hadn't sunk in. She handed him the ultrasound picture to make it more real.

"Donna is this..."

"Yes"

End.
