OH MY GOD! Guys, Disney is AMAZING! I wanna live in America *insert crying emoji here*
I have a small writer's block now, so if you want any moments in the Beale-Mitchell, you can request them ;)
Chloe was helping Charlotte with her homework while Beca went to the store. Sophie was nearby playing.
"This is the last one, Char." Chloe said, handing her a pink crayon.
Charlotte finished coloring and smiled.
"You're all done, Char!" Chloe said.
"Yay!" Charlotte said.
"It looks beautiful." Chloe said with a smile. "Now tell me something: who turns 6 tomorrow?"
"Meee!" Charlotte raised her hand as high as she could with a huge smile.
"Sar!" Sophie said.
Her second word, unsurprisingly, was 'Char' – or her attempt to say Char. Now she was starting to say more and more words every week. Her vocabulary and pronounce weren't all that great – of course, she was 1 year and four months old – but she was improving.
"It's Char, right Sophie? Char is gonna turn 6 tomorrow!" Chloe said.
Sophie smiled at her mom.
"And who's gonna visit grandpa Ethan and nana this weekend?" Chloe asked.
"We!" Charlotte said.
"We!" Sophie repeated.
"That's right!" Chloe said with a smile. "And who's gonna travel in a plane for the very first time."
"Not me, mamma. I already did that." Charlotte said, shaking her head.
"Me!" Sophie said, running towards them and standing in front of her mother.
"You are!" Chloe smiled widely.
Sophie smiled and reached out her arms. Chloe picked her up and placed her on her lap.
"Wanna help Char put the crayons away?" Chloe asked.
Sophie nodded and started grabbing the crayons and putting them in the box Charlotte handed out to her.
Chloe smiled as she watched her daughters put away the crayons. She loved them. Charlotte looked more and more like Beca every single day. They compared pictures from Beca's childhood and they were perfect copies. Of course, Charlotte had some different traces but she looked exactly like her mother. Sophie, on the other hand, had Chloe's bright red hair, her eyes were a darker shade of blue but she looked like Chloe. A lot, not as much as Charlotte looked like Beca, but a lot.
Beca got home with the groceries, put them away with Chloe, Charlotte and Sophie's help – the later two not being so helpful – and then she finally placed a pizza box on the table.
"I got it at Pizza Hut." Beca said with a smile. "For my girls."
"Thanks mommy!" Charlotte said, sitting on a chair.
Sophie climbed on a chair next to her sister and stood on the chair, since she was too little.
"Soph, you go on your hair chair." Chloe said, picking her up and putting her on her chair.
Chloe put the plates and cups on the table while Beca cut the pizza. She then gave everyone a slice, cutting Charlotte's slice.
Beca heated up some leftover pasta with asparagus and broccoli for Sophie, since she couldn't eat pizza yet, and put the plate in front of her.
Sophie grabbed it with her hands and started eating them.
Chloe saw that and swallowed her pizza before she addressed her youngest daughter, "Sophie, use your spoon, baby."
Sophie looked confused at her mom but she grabbed her pink spoon and looked at it. She then looked at Charlotte and handed out the spoon for her.
"Sar." She said.
Charlotte frowned and looked at her mint green spoon.
"They're switched." Charlotte said. She licked the spoon clean and gave it to Sophie, grabbing the pink spoon from her.
Beca looked disgusted.
"Char, you can't lick a spoon and then give it to someone." Chloe explained. "You should wash it."
"Okay." Charlotte said. "Sorry mamma."
"It's okay." Chloe said.
They knew it was time for bed when Sophie started playing with the spoon and Charlotte pushed her plate away from her.
"Okay. Char, Soph, you two go with mommy to get changed while I get the kitchen cleaned up." Chloe said.
Beca helped Sophie out of her chair and went upstairs with the two girls. She changed Sophie since Charlotte didn't need help, helped Sophie brush her teeth while Charlotte brushed hers and put them both to bed.
Beca changed into comfy clothes and got into bed. She waited for Chloe while she scribbled something on a small notebook.
"What are you writing?" Chloe asked, pulling her hair out of its messy bun.
"Oh I was just.. working on something." Beca said, closing the notebook.
"Can I know what it is?" Chloe asked, sitting down next to Beca.
"Oh umm.. It's just this thing." Beca scratched the back of her neck. Something Chloe knew she did when she was nervous.
"Oh thing? I love things!" Chloe said with a smile.
"It's just.. It's not finished." Beca said.
"Come on, Beca, you can show it to me. We're married for God's sakes." Chloe giggled.
Beca chuckled nervously and slowly opened the notebook, not quite showing it to Chloe yet.
"This is just a draft, like I said, it's not finished." Beca said. "It's probably not that good-"
"-Beca, it's okay. Whatever it is, it's probably great." Chloe assured her, grabbing her hand and squeezing it.
Beca took a deep breath and her grip on the notebook loosened.
"Okay. So I'm gonna do a solo album.. And I was kinda taking a shot at writing a song, since I never did and I.. I wrote a song about.. umm like inspired.. well actually it's for Charlotte." Beca said, stuttering. She's never been a songwriter and she was nervous about this. "I-I know, Sophie, but.. when Charlotte was born, things were so complicated.. I couldn't help it so I started thinking about this and I started writing.. a song.. for her.."
"Oh my.. Really?" Chloe asked. "Can I see it?"
"Okay." Beca handed her the notebook.
Chloe read the lyrics and her eyes filled with tears. She looked back up at her wife, who was biting her lower lip nervously.
"What do you think? Suckfest?" She asked.
"Are you kidding me?! Beca this is.. amazing!" Chloe said. "Really! It's so beautiful!"
Chloe grabbed the sides of Beca's face and kissed her hard on the lips with a smile and it made Beca giggle into the kiss.
"You are amazing." Chloe said and smiled.
Beca smiled back and Chloe kissed her again.

They managed to get a four separate seats on the plane, so Chloe was going with Charlotte and Beca was going with Sophie. Both girls were wearing the same dress, Charlotte was wearing a blue one with lighter blue polka dots, while Sophie was wearing a pink version of the dress. Both girls had their hair up in pigtails.
"Mamma, when are we going?" Charlotte asked.
"Soon, sweetie." Chloe said.
Beca and Sophie were right behind them, but the little one was very confused and a little scared. She looked up at Beca with a scared look on her face.
"What is it, Sophie?" Beca asked. "You don't need to be scared, honey."
Charlotte heard that and turned around on her seat, looking at her sister between the seats.
"It's okay, Sophie. It's gonna be okay. You're gonna love it!" Charlotte said. "You're gonna see the entire city through the window! And it's gonna look very tiny!"
Sophie looked less scared and a little more intrigued. She looked out the window and back at her sister, as if asking her if she was telling the truth.
"It's gonna be so fun, Soph. You're gonna love it!" Charlotte assured her and turned back to face the seat in front of her.
Sophie still looked a little scared, but that was because Charlotte wasn't looking at her anymore. She reached forward but Beca reminded her that she was supposed to stay seated. She pouted and Beca grabbed her hand, squeezing it gently.
When the plane started moving, Sophie sat closer to her mother and buried her face on her stomach, avoiding seeing anything. When the plane took off, she started crying.
"Sophie! Sophie, look!" Charlotte said.
Sophie slowly opened her eyes and looked out the window. She was surprised to see tiny houses, cars and buildings. She looked back at her mom and Beca smiled at her. She looked back at the window and gasped. She looked back and started saying syllables while pointing out the window. Beca leaned forward and saw what she was pointing.
"It's great, isn't it?" Beca asked.
"It's so much fun, isn't it Sophie?" Charlotte said, looking back at her from between the seats.
"Aah!" Sophie said and continued looking out the window.
"I know!" Charlotte giggled.
Beca smiled and she was happy Sophie stopped crying and was now loving the flight.
When they landed, Sophie was disappointed and she wanted to go again. She was mad the entire drive to Beca's dad's house. She only lost her pout and frown when she saw her grandfather and she threw herself on his arms.
"Hey Soph!" He said and kissed the top of her head.
"Hi Grandpa!" Charlotte said with a smile. "Where's my present?"
She walked into the house and looked around, looking for her present.
"Charlotte!" Beca and Chloe said at the same time.
"What?" Charlotte asked, not seeing the problem.
"You can't ask people where your present is." Beca said.
"But mommy, it was my birthday, grandpa owns me a present!" Charlotte explained with a roll of eyes.
"That's still not polite, Char." Beca said.
Charlotte rolled her eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me, young lady." Beca said.
"I think the only person she can roll her eyes at is you." Chloe whispered to Beca and earned herself a glare.
"I have your present, Char, but you're only gonna get it after we sing happy birthday." Ethan explained.
"Awwww!" Charlotte pouted.
Sophie giggled and looked out the window.
"Pool!" She said when she spotted the pool.
"Pool! Mommy, can we go in the pool?!" Charlotte asked.
"Let's just put our bags in our room and then you can go." Beca said.
"Okay." Charlotte said.
Chloe and Beca put their bags in their room, while listening to Charlotte complaining that she wanted to go to the pool. So they put a swimsuit on her and Sophie, put on their floaties before letting them go with Sheila to the pool area while the two women unpacked.
Sophie slowly approached the pool (she approached the shallow part, where the steps were) and put one hand on the water, quickly giggling and taking her hand back.
"Is the water good, Sophie?" Sheila asked as she finished putting sunscreen on Charlotte's face.
Sophie let out a loud excited laugh instead of answering and pointed the water.
"I'll join you in a second." Sheila said.
"Can I go in now?" Charlotte asked.
"Okay, but be careful, don't jump in." Sheila said.
Charlotte got in using the steps and laughed, kicking her arms and legs.
Sophie laughed and turned to Sheila with a whine. Sheila giggled and got in before picking Sophie, who laughed louder when she entered the pool.
"Are my girls enjoying the water?" Ethan asked as he came out the backdoor.
"Yes!" Charlotte said. "Where's mommy and mamma?"
"They were unpacking when I checked but they're gonna come down as soon as they can." Ethan said.
"Okay." Charlotte said.
"Did you get a chance to ride your bike yet, Charlotte?" Ethan asked.
"No, but mommy said she's gonna help me when we get back." Charlotte said excitedly.
"Oh, that's exciting. Are you gonna tell me all about it later?" Ethan asked.
"Yes." Charlotte promised and Ethan smiled.
"I remember when you and your mom used to live here." he said. "You were very little."
"I was tiny." Charlotte said with a giggle.
"Yeah, you were." Ethan giggled as well. "I miss you, you know."
"Awww, I'm here, grandpa!" Charlotte said.
"Can you come visit me more often?" Ethan asked.
"Okay. I'll get my own rocket!" Charlotte said.
"Oh you'll come in a rocket?" Ethan asked.
"Yes!" Charlotte said.
"Sounds fancy."
"I am fancy, grandpa!" Charlotte said.
"Yeah you are." Ethan smiled. "I'm gonna get some snacks, enjoy the pool."
"Thanks, grandpa!" Charlotte said, getting out of the pool to jump back in.

Beca finished with Charlotte's bag and smiled as she looked at her toys. It's been so long since her and Charlotte used to live there, it felt like it was forever ago. Her and Chloe weren't even together.
"I finished the song." Beca said.
"What?" Chloe asked, distractedly.
"The song I was writing for Charlotte." Beca said.
"Oh, you did?!" Chloe asked.
"Yeah." Beca said with a smile. "We're already recording it."
"That's so great." Chloe said. "You're gonna have to sing it to me one day, you know."
"I know." Beca smiled. "I was gonna do it this weekend, since we're celebrating Char's birthday."
"Oh, this is gonna be beautiful!" Chloe said. "I'm gonna film it."
Beca chuckled.
"Come on, let's change and meet the girls." Beca said, grabbing her bikini.

That night, the family was finishing dinner and, for dessert, they were gonna have a cake to celebrate Charlotte's birthday. Beca interrupted them, though, saying she had a special gift for Charlotte and moved them all to the living room, grabbing her old guitar.
"This a song that's going in my new album." Beca said as Chloe filmed everything. "This is for Charlotte."
Charlotte grinned and sat in front of her mother, eager to hear what she was gonna sing for her.
"Your little hand's wrapped around my finger
And it's so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eyelids flutter 'cause you're dreaming
So I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light"
Beca's eyes filled with tears as she remembered the day Charlotte was born and when she saw her for the first time. Chloe had a hard time holding the camera already.
"To you, everything's funny
You've got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have, honey
If you could stay like that"
Beca tickled Charlotte on the 'funny' part and her heart skipped a beat when she heard her giggle.
"Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, it could stay this simple"
Beca smiled as Charlotte stood up and grabbed her sister and they started dancing.
"I won't let nobody hurt you
Won't let no one break your heart
And no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up, never grow up"
Charlotte grinned as Sophie giggled and they threw their arms up and giggled.
"You're in the car on the way to the movies
You're mortified your mom's dropping you off
At 14 there's just so much you can't do
And you can't wait to move out someday
And call your own shots
But don't make her drop you off around the block
Remember that she's getting older too
And don't lose the way that you dance around in your pj's getting ready for school"
Beca smiled bigger as Charlotte and Sophie continued dancing – ironically, in their pj's.
"Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
No one's ever burned you
Nothing ever left you scarred
And even though you want to, just try to never grow up"
Chloe was almost sobbing behind the camera, while Ethan and Sheila were also crying. The song was so beautiful and it was just so Charlotte.
"Take pictures in your mind of your childhood room
Memorize what it sounded like when your moms get home
Remember the footsteps, remember the words said
And all your little sister's favorite songs
I just realized everything I have is someday gonna be gone"
Sophie threw herself on Charlotte and the two fell, the older one on her back and the little one on top of her. The two giggled and just took a few breaths before they sat up again to pay attention to their mom.
"So here I am in my new apartment
In a big city, they just dropped me off
It's so much colder than I thought it would be
So I tuck myself in, turn the night light on"
Beca looked down at the guitar as she played and sang the next part.
"Wish I'd never grown up
I wish I'd never grown up
Oh I don't wanna grow up, wish I'd never grown up
I could still be little
Oh I don't wanna grow up, wish I'd never grown up
It could still be simple
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up
It could stay this simple
Won't let nobody hurt you
Won't let no one break your heart
And even though you want to, please try to never grow up
Oh don't you ever grow up
Oh, never grow up, just never grow up"
Charlotte started applauding like crazy, while Beca wiped her tears. Chloe giggled as she saw Sophie clapping along with her sister.
"That was beautiful, mommy!" Charlotte said.
Beca smiled and hugged Charlotte tight.
"I love you so much." she said and hugged the girl even tighter.
That's when Sophie decided she didn't like being left out of things and got in the hug as well. Beca hugged her two daughters tight and wiped a few more tears.
After the girls pulled away, Chloe hugged and kissed her wife deeply, both still crying a little bit. When they pulled apart, they rested their foreheads together while their daughters clapped.
"I love you." Chloe said and smiled.
"I love you." Beca smiled.
"Mommy, mamma! Stop kissing, it's time for my cake!" Charlotte said. Sophie was sitting next to her, playing with her hair.
Beca and Chloe laughed as they looked back at her.
"Let's go then." Chloe said, helping Beca up.
Sophie suddenly sneezed on her sister's shoulder and Charlotte gasped.
"Ewwww!" she said, not moving. "Mamma, Sophie sneezed on me! There's goo on me, mamma!"
Sophie tried to clean it with her hand, but ended up doing a bigger mess and that got Charlotte to push her, making her fall on her back. And that's when all Hell broke loose; Sophie started crying loudly, Charlotte tried to be louder than Sophie, whining about the booger on her shoulder, Chloe trying to calm Sophie while Beca tried to get Charlotte to apologize to her sister.
Of course, the girls calmed down after a while and they managed to sing happy birthday and eat a piece of cake.
Sophie and Charlotte were sleeping in separate rooms, which wasn't news to any of them, but even so Charlotte woke up in the middle of the night after a nightmare and started crying rather loudly. She sat up on her bed and wiped her eyes, calling out for her moms, but, surprisingly, it was Sophie who showed up. Pacifier in her mouth and a confused look on her face. She took the pacifier from her mouth and gave her sister a puzzled look.
"Sar?" She asked. Her pronunciation was similar to 'saw'.
"Sophie?" Charlotte asked while she still wiped the tears away.
Sophie got closer to her sister and offered her her pacifier.
"That's yours, Sophie." Charlotte said, even though she didn't need pacifiers anymore.
"Aa!" Sophie said with a frown, holding out her pacifier for her sister.
Charlotte took the pacifier and put it in her mouth, wiping her eyes.
"Ah." Sophie pointed the bed.
Charlotte laid back down and Sophie climbed on the bed behind her. She sat behind her sister and started humming and singing while she tapped her sister's side, copying what her mothers did to get her to go to sleep.
Charlotte quickly fell back to sleep and Sophie grabbed the pacifier back from her and lied next to her sister.
