It is finally time to bust up this organization! I predict maybe 3 or 4 more chapters and this one will be a wrap. Also, to the user who brought up the point Kaito does call Shinichi Meitantei, you are correct. It has been so long I had forgotten. I will fix it this chapter. I also have to split this up into multiple parts because it is so long.

The security guards loitered around the front desk, nursing the lukewarm coffee from the disposable Styrofoam cups.

"Boss says it is going to be a late night."

"Yeah, said we might be getting a visitor."

One snorted, lifting up his shirt slightly to expose the gun tucked into his waistband.

"I hope that meddlesome phantom thief pays us a visit. I will make sure he catches a bullet right between the eyes."

"Aww you sweet talker you. You couldn't hit water if you fell out of a boat."

A new voice joined the group and all of them froze, looking up at the newcomer. Kaitou KID stood there among them, as if he had been standing there with them the whole time. He looked rather impressive in the light in his full regalia, grinning wildly behind a glinting monocle. Stunned, the men could just stare in shock. KID took one of the guard's hands.

"Here, hold onto this would you?"

A second later, the man's hand started smoking, and he let it go with a yelp, dropping the object on the ground. Glitter, confetti, and smoke covered the group. Kaito let out a booming laugh as he twirled away, pressing a button on the secret remote in his wrist.

"Let us allow this party to start gentlemen!"

Outside, in the ordinary hustle of the late evening Tokyo night life, shrieks erupted around the building, careening upward into multiple colorful explosions. A few volleys of the fireworks went up, making sure to clearly mark the location. Kaito hoped Nakamori Keibu was watching and could find the place all right with limited setup he had time to deal with. Unfortunately, he had other things to worry about now, including leading these guards on a wild goose chase so phase two of the plan could start. The goons were quick to action, following with wild yells.

"Get him!"

"Don't let him get away!"

Using his grappling hook to swing away from the armed guards, Kaito tutted disappointedly.

"Too predictable. Couldn't you switch up your dialogue just a little bit?"

Right on time, the poppers that had been on a timer exploded, giving the guards a distraction. Kaito was among them in an instant, throwing an extra smoke bomb for cover, and when the whole mess was over, all of the guards were now holding water pistols instead of their regular guns. There was several seconds of confusion as they had no idea where their weapons had gone, and Kaito wasn't going to tell them they were now stuck on top of the fancy chandelier that adorned the lobby. Giving an impish grin, Kaito turned tail and fled further into the building, heading for the upper floors. Bait set.

The guards threw down their useless toys and headed after him, pulling out their next trick by yelling into radios, giving updates to the other guards in the vicinity. Hook, line, and sinker. Perfect.

Around a corner, Kaito leaned into his stride, checking through the blueprints of the building in his head as he brought a subtle hand to his ear, muttering quietly.

"All right Meitantai. You are up."

There was a crackle as the earpiece received the dry response from the detective.

"Water pistols? Really?"

Kaito almost balked at the too similar voice in his ear. He was used to Conan's childish voice, not Kudo Shinichi's. Something to get used to.

"Oh, would you rather they kept the toys they had?"

He could feel the eyeroll from the other side of the channel.

"Just don't die, idiotic thief. I will let you know when it is good to go."

Kaito looked up to see a variety of guards come veering around the corner, raising weapons and yelling a lot. Just another Tuesday night. He threw his cape wide, reaching discreetly into his secret pockets to pull out his card gun. He immediately aimed the cards no with the intention to kill, but to distract. The cards imbedded in the wall, giving off a variety of ammunition like glitter, smoke, shaving cream, slime, confetti, poppers, and sleeping gas. Surprised by the noise and the substance, the guards drew back, and by then Kaito was among them like a cyclone of mischief. He had already nabbed his glitter and smoke bombs with a smirk. He could keep himself entertained while Meitantei did his job.

Shinichi slowly eased the main door open, not at all trusting the empty lobby he was currently in. He could hear distant shouts and gunfire, and that made him nervous enough. After a thorough scan to make sure he was alone, he hurried down the hallway that was behind the main desk. He had no time to be indecisive, if he wanted to keep KID in one piece anyway. The sooner he could deliver the sedative to the water tank, the less of a chance KID got injured. Hopefully KID didn't encounter one of the executives before he could join him.

The hallway was dark, and Shinichi used his phone's light to speedily read the doors as he passed them. The blueprints said it should be straight back…

There! The door labeled 'Maintenance' was unassuming at first glance. Shinichi smirked as he approached, checking once behind him to make sure he wasn't being followed, before trying to push through the door. Locked.

Unsurprising, as most maintenance rooms only allowed select staff to enter. That wasn't going to stop Shinichi however. A quick study of the door showed him it was a deadbolt. He could use his soccer ball, but wanted to save that for absolute emergencies since it was a limited supply. Drawing back his foot, Shinichi pitched it forward like he was aiming to put the soccer ball in the goal from across the field. He hit right below the lock, denting the door but not allowing entry. Shinichi huffed out a sigh. He almost wished Ran was here. A couple more kicks finally pushed the door out of the way, and he quickly shoved his way inside to a labyrinth of pipes, levers, and wires.

The detective peered around the room rapidly, trying desperately to find the water tank. A pang of agony shot through his body like a volt of electricity, stealing his breath in an excruciating gasp. After a few moments the attack dissipated, leaving him feeling his normal self after a transformation, slightly feverish, aching chest, but at least functioning. He hoped for once that his luck would hold out and he could make it through this mission without changing back, or at the very least not be handicapped by the bursts of pain that could mean the difference between life and death if he was up against someone truly heinous, such as Snake or Spider.

Finally, he spied the tank tucked back in the corner. There was a valve releasing it, and what looked like a crank to open a portion of it, probably where someone could pour in a fire extinguishing liquid if they wanted to put a fire out more efficiently. Turning the wheel quickly, Shinichi finally opened the small hole and knelt, pulling his backpack off his shoulder to rifle around in it. He had a variety of items that might help him later, including zip ties, duct tape, refills of his gadgets, his bowtie, and there, the sedative. He stood, dumping the concoction KID had made earlier into it. As he sealed it, he quickly reactivated the coms, while also tugging out his phone.

"KID it's ready."

On the other end of the line there was a moment before the phantom thief spoke, and in that second Shinichi could hear that the background was absolutely chaos with random bangs, explosions, coughing, shouting of expletives, and gasping. Kid sounded unaffected as he reminded cheerily.

"Don't forget your gas mask Meitantei."

Shinichi froze in his current mission of trying to get his phone and changing his target, yanking out the gas mask with brutal efficiency, shoving it on his face, before then turning back to his phone. He flinched as after a moment, the sprinklers kicked on, giving him an unpleasant cold shower. The steam that he could see rising was proof of the sedative. Ignoring the twinge in his chest, Shinichi made his way back to the main lobby, still checking his phone for the camera feeds he checked earlier. Now that the guards were taking care of, he needed to find out where Snake, Spider, and anyone higher up the organizational chain of command. A perfect start to their plan…and man does that only make him more nervous about what was to come.

Kaito whirled around a corner, tossing back the smoke bomb right in an operative's face. It probably didn't exactly feel too good, judging by the loud yelp as it exploded on impact. He was in his element, dodging and pulling out all the sleight of hand and misdirection tricks in the book. So far, he had done decent damage, while gaining no injuries or scratches on himself. It was like the guards were trying to catch water; a pointless task that only frustrated them.

Finally, there was a sprinkler spigot in the ceiling. A bit of invisible line and his grappling hook and the goons came around the corner to see Kaitou KID seemingly standing in midair within touching distance of the ceiling. KID's monocle flashed in the light as he tipped his hat ever slightly downward, smirking.

"Would you gentlemen like to see a magic trick?"

One of the more experienced men pointed his gun at the phantom thief.

"Stop now KI—"

With a flick of the wrist Kaito held up the lighter that he brought out of his pocket up to the sprinkler sensor. Immediately, the entire area was doused with water. Shocked, the guards all spluttered as water rained on them from above. Kaito held his breath as the gas mask that was stored in one of his many pockets materialized on his face, allowing him to breathe. He stealthily cut the strings that held him to the ceiling, and he glided down to the floor below, where already the guards were stumbling to the ground, knees buckling from under them.

Kaito grinned as he snapped his fingers for the dramatic flair, zipties appearing around the guards' wrists in an impressive display of speed and dexterity. Now then, with that out of the way, time for the main event. The sprinkler system only activated on the bottom half of the building, a way to protect the foundation of the structure, which meant the higher floors didn't have the system, meaning that perhaps over half of the building was still walking around. He darted down the hallway to the elevator shaft. He reactivated the comms.

"Meitantei, anything on the cameras?"

There was a second of silence, before there was heavy breathing on the other side, as if Shinichi was running.

"I checked all the other floors. There are more guards on the upper floors, but they seemed to be making their way down the stairway in the middle. I am heading up the side stairs to intercept Snake. Spider is standing guard at the vault, probably thinking you are going there."

Kaito shoved the elevator button and hopped from foot to foot, glancing upwards. The clock was ticking, and he had no idea how much time he had left before the Mastermind behind all this decided to escape. It was making him anxious, but nothing he couldn't handle.

"Be careful Meitantei."

For once there was no snark from the detective, just a simple affirmative.

"You too. Good luck."

Finally, the elevator door dinged open. Kaito bounded into the elevator and up the wall, through the ceiling maintenance hatch and into the shaft in a blink of an eye. Twirling his grappling gun, he quickly shot it up into the darkness. Time to go find himself a Boss.

Shinichi raced up the stairs as fast as he could go. It was nice to have longer legs at least so he could take them two at a time, but the antidote was killing his stamina. It was rough but he had no time to whine about being out of breath and aching legs.

The emergency stairwell was dimly lit, enclosed with concrete, and echoed quite loudly. He could hear another person's footsteps beside his own, and they were coming closer. Shinichi slowed, one hand coming to his wristwatch, while the other pulled the baseball cap down slightly. His paranoia at being discovered kept him from running out recklessly.

They sounded like they were just a few flights above him. A quick look at the doorway to the rest of the floor showed he was on floor eighteen. Only twenty more before the top floor. Shinichi narrowed his eyes, thinking quickly. The footsteps had stopped, meaning they either knew he was here, or had stopped at the floor above him. He had no time to just wait around for a stalemate.

He walked forward deliberately making noise as he opened and shut the door to floor eighteen, then drew back behind the wall for cover. Surely Snake wouldn't fall for that would he?

The footsteps started again, cautious in their descent. Shinichi drew as close to the wall as he could, holding his breath as he raised his watch. Perhaps he could end this without violence.

Closer, closer still. The person was just on the other side of the wall. Now one step, now on the same landing as Shinichi. A gun thrust its way around the corner, pointing at the door Shinichi supposedly went through. Shinichi didn't move though; he wasn't shooting his watch until he had a clear target.

The gun was followed by an arm, and then a leg and then a whole torso as Snake finally appeared, full focus on the door. He glanced over and realized his mistake, gun whirling around. Snake was quick; Shinichi was quicker.

The watch needle imbedded in Snake's hand. Snake snarled wordlessly in irritation as his hand relaxed without his consent, almost dropping the gun. Shinichi was quick to follow it up with a second shot right to Snake's face. The assassin stumbled back against the wall and the detective moved, lunging forward to grab at the gun. The assassin was still awake enough to not relinquish his hold, causing Shinichi to struggle. Snake growled.

"Who the hell are you?"

Shinichi didn't speak, only continued to wrestle with the gun as Snake tried to point it at the detective's face. Snake reached up with his other hand, grabbing onto the hat brim, intent on uncovering this strange intruder's face. Shinichi felt the hat almost leave his head and on instinct, kicked forward, catching Snake in the stomach. The assassin's breath whooshed out of him in a grunt and Shinichi pressed the advantage, finally taking the pistol from him and drawing back a few steps, leveling the gun at him.

For a moment, both were still, breathing heavy. Snake dropped a little lower due to the double sedative dose now coursing through his veins, but Shinichi didn't drop the pistol a millimeter, heart still pounding heavily in his chest. Holy stars he did it. It was so nice to do something like this in an adult body where he didn't have to worry about being overpowered due to height or age difference for once.

"Where is KID?"

Shinichi paused at the demand, before shrugging silently. He wasn't going to give Snake anything to identify him by later. Now he just needed to wait until the sedative knocked him out completely before moving on to Spider.

Snake shook his head, trying to fight off the effects of the tranquilizer and suddenly lunged forward, a knife in his hand that he hadn't had before slicing through the air.

Shinichi gasped in surprise, stepping back away from the sharp weapon. Snake, sensing weakness, pounced forward, slashing for Shinichi's throat. The detective ducked, dodging around Snake and up the stairs to the next floor, only pausing to shoot one more needle at Snake.

Finally, third time was the charm as Snake finally slumped over, blinking blearily up at Shinichi at the top of the staircase. Shinichi didn't move from his perch, still pointing a gun at Snake. The assassin chuckled softly.

"You don't have the guts to shoot me kid."

Shinichi stiffened at the moniker but kept the pistol on Snake as he tried to climb to his feet. Snake chuckled again as he raised the knife. Shinichi let out a small hiss of frustration as the assassin stabbed it into his own shoulder, not a deep wound, but definitely enough pain to help produce adrenaline to counteract the sedative. Shinichi sighed heavily as Snake clamored to his feet, flipping the knife between his hands.

"Now then, where were we?"

The detective's plan wasn't exactly going the way he wanted it to. Stupid assassins with high tolerance of drugs. He didn't want to use any more of the tranquilizer because it might have disastrous consequences of overdosing, and he didn't want to kill the guy. Not to mention, he would rather not get that close to a knife wielding cold blooded criminal anyway, if he could help it anyway.

Time to regroup. Shinichi turned and continued his ascent up the stairs. If Snake had enough energy to follow him, great. In the meantime, it would give him more time to think up a plan B.

"Hey, come back here kid! Where do you think you are going?"

Shinichi ducked just in time to miss the knife that was thrown up over the railing at him he sprinted up three more stairs just in time for the door to the next landing to open and several armed guards spilling out. Shinichi instinctively pressed the button on his ball belt, snapping his leg forward to ricochet the ball off of three of them to make them tumble in a heap. He exhaled through his nose in a huff. He hoped KID was having better luck.

Kaito balanced precariously in the elevator shaft, using one of his cards on the elevator door to pry it open. Finally, it slid open to a long hallway lit by several dim lamps that were hung on the walls, almost like torches. It certainly looked like the hallway to a villain lair from some manga. Almost vibrating with anticipation, Kaito glided forward, silent as the phantom that he proclaimed to be with his card gun gripped tightly in his hand, the only sign that he was nervous.

His dress shoes padded along the crimson and golden carpet toward the ominous double doors at the end of the hallway. The distance was just enough for his genius mind to overthink. Should he have stopped and taken care of more guards? Maybe Spider or Snake? Should he call Meitantei one more time to make sure he was alright? Should he make a run for the safe, that was just down a floor? Was Nakamori Keibu here and doing his job?

He reached the door and went to knock politely on it. He was a gentleman thief after all, even with criminal organizations that murdered his father. In fact, he knocked just to spite them.

There was a pause, before a deceptively polite invitation came through the door, the predator inviting the prey into its lair.

"Come in, Kaitou KID."

Kaito bristled, drawing his hand back from the handle. Well, if that wasn't a red flag that this was a trap, he didn't know what was. Silently, he took a deep breath, exhaling quietly to give him a moment to regain his composure. All his years of criminal activity, finally boiled down to this singular moment, and he was not going to crumble. His poker face was going to be impeccable when he faced his father's murderer.

He reached down yanked down on the handles, pushing his way into the room as if someone was announcing his grand entrance.

Shinichi ducked into the next office, panting heavily as he crouched behind a desk. This wasn't exactly going as he wanted it to, but that was ok. He was on the twenty eighth floor now and had been weaving back and forth between the emergency stairwell, through the main floors to the main staircase and back again, taking out any guards along the way. He had had to reload his soccer ball belt and wristwatch many times, and it didn't seem like their numbers were getting any thinner.

Shinichi once more replenished his ball belt supply. He had almost gotten it down to a routine now. He would use his soccer ball to provide a distraction and pain, perhaps a concussion while he took others down with his watch. Waste the few precious seconds it took for him to zip tie their wrists together and remove any weapons, then run off to the next staircase to continue his ascent.

Snake had been relentless in pursuing him, not halting for anything. In fact, he was being a colossal pain by organizing the guards to try to take Shinichi down. Closer and closer he slithered, like the predator he was named after, drawing the trap tight like a constrictor around the neck of its prey. Shinichi felt the pressure like a physical weight, but he knew he could handle it.

He peeked out into the hallway to see the group of guards scanning their surroundings, guns drawn to try to find him. They were blocking the main stairs further down. The emergency stairs were right next to him, and there were six, no seven of them. Taking another deep breath to replenish his oxygen supply for another sprint up to the next floor, Shinichi took off, hitting the door to the stairs with enough force to slam it open. He ignored the yells and shots coming from behind him as he took the stairs two at a time, bypassing the next floor since it seemed he got a head start on them to jump up two floors instead. Patterns they could recognize so he tried to be unpredictable.

At the very least he hoped he was causing a big enough of a distraction that KID could get his part done in peace. He didn't know if the extended radio silence from the thief was a good or bad thing, but it would be nice to know if KID wasn't dead or captured. No way was he going to break the silence though; he didn't want to distract KID from his mission, or alert the guards down here there was another intruder.

Finally, the thirtieth floor. Should he take a risk and take the elevator up to Spider and gain some distance on Snake?

He didn't have time to make a choice as the platoon of guards thundered up the main staircase, crowding into the hall. Shinichi kicked forward a soccer ball, managing to score a new record of bouncing it off of five of the seven, causing them to fall flat on the ground, groaning or yelping. Shinichi chased the soccer ball, as it managed to have enough force to hit the opposite wall and start rolling back to him. It hadn't deflated yet, and could be used again, so he was going to take it.

"There you are!"

Snake shouted from behind him; sounds like he took the emergency stairs after Shinichi. The detective pushed his way through the two remaining guards to catch the ball with his foot. He turned back to the three men, dribbling the ball absentmindedly with his feet as he once more pulled the brim of the cap over his face. It had almost fallen off multiple times now, but Shinichi had managed to keep it on, so they still had little idea what he looked like. Small mercies in this downward spiral of events.

The two goons aimed their machine guns at him, and Shinichi raised an eyebrow. Where on earth did they get those? Definitely not here in Japan. Smugglers these days.

The soccer ball, changed instantly from a child's toy to something dangerous as it thudded into the face of one of the guards, breaking his nose with a shriek and a crunch. The other guard opened fire and Shinichi dove forward into a somersault, bringing him just close enough to fire his watch at the last guard. He crumpled to the floor but before he could get any closer Snake lunged forward, knife still in hand and slicing downward toward Shinichi's fingers.

Shinichi scampered backwards, trying to decide what to do. He needed to take down Snake, but how when all his nonlethal methods weren't working. Soccer balls he had blocked or ignored the pain, and the sedative was not working. He needed to find another method. He had stalled long enough.

Suddenly the dull ache in his chest amplified until it was a horrific stabbing pain that caused Shinichi to stumble, gasping at the agony burning in his chest like a hot coal, steaming and angry at his life choices to be full sized. No, not now…the antidote. Was it wearing off now? Surely not. It hadn't been that long yet! If he turned back now…it would be the worst thing to ever happen to him. Shinichi's hands instinctively came up to his chest, scrabbling to try to remove the suffering that his chest was under.

Sensing weakness, Snake pounced forward, stabbing toward Shinichi's arm. Shinichi, trying to heave breaths through lungs that felt constricted by iron bands, rolled weakly out of the way, and the knife only nicked his wrist, just enough to draw blood and be an annoyance, but nothing dangerous. Shinichi ended up against a wall, crouched down as he tried to hug himself, trying to contain the torture to a smaller area.

"Come on boy. Give up."

Shinichi glared up at the assassin as he once more leveled the large dagger at him. As sudden as it appeared, the pain eased in his chest, leaving behind the normal dull ache, allowing sweet oxygen to once more fill his lungs. As long as it wasn't the blazing pain that made him feel like that fateful night all over again where he thought for sure he was going to die, he could live with it.

Shinichi discreetly grabbed at his watch, as he eyed Snake from across the hall. The assassin flicked the knife in his hand; Shinichi watched it flip in the air as it came back to rest in his palm.

"So, you helping that bastard KID? Stupid reason to get yourself killed."

Shinichi's blue eye glinted in the light from where they barely were visible from under the brim of the cap, but said nothing. Snake leered as he lumbered forward, raising his knife threateningly.

"I am going to enjoy this."

The detective breathed heavily. Man, he wished he had his skateboard, but that would only give himself away as the bratty child from earlier. Hopping to his feet, he dodged around the attacking assassin, back toward the main stairs. If only he could catch him off balance and take his weapon.

Suddenly a shot rang out and Shinichi flinched as something burrowed through his arm, analyzing it immediately. A flesh wound, enough blood to leave a trail, not enough to incapacitate him. Good, he had no time to waste on petty injuries.

He dove to the side as he glanced back. Snake had acquired a pistol from one of the armed guards Shinichi had just taken down. Great, he was armed with a weapon he was proficient with. Snake needed to be taken down now, before he impeded Shinichi again. Not wasting a second, the detective sprinted up the main staircase.

At the curve of the stairs Shinichi paused, ducking down and waited calmly. Snake thundered up the stairs behind him without hesitation and Shinichi sprinted out, jumping at Snake's chest. It was a risk with the weapon in his hand, and Snake shot out, but it missed Shinichi by a mile. Snake let out a yell as they fell backwards down the stairs, landing in a pile at the bottom of which Shinichi was on top.

Snake slammed his head against several of the stone stairs and was stunned. Blinking furiously to probably dispel the vertigo that invaded his vision, he tried to aim the pistol, but Shinichi disarmed him efficiently, tossing the pistol and the knife somewhere down the hall. A quick pat down revealed that he had two more knives on his person, which Shinichi also relieved him of.

Sensing that Snake would be back to his normal very antagonizing self soon, Shinichi flipped him over onto his back, wresting his arms behind him. Snake struggled but couldn't pull his arms free as Shinichi used several zip ties to handcuff his thumbs together, and pulled some duct tape out of his backpack supplied by KID just for good measure to encircle his wrists.

"Come on kid, let me go."

Snake snarled but Shinichi didn't even give him a response, just paused for a moment to revel in his victory. Now, he was going to put some duct tape over his mouth and lock him in one of the offices. He didn't need him being rescued by the guards and being allowed to play again.

Suddenly a crackle of the radio from one of the fallen guards caught his attention.

"Snake sir where are you? We have a problem."

Snake's eyes glared at Shinichi as the detective slapped some duct tape over his mouth, making nonsensical noises through the gag. He wasn't going to be allowed to mess this up.

The detective made his way over to the radio, plucking it from the belt as he pulled the bowtie out of the backpack. Leisurely, he fiddled with the dials, before he pressed the call button, a perfect replica of Snake's voice coming from the device.

"Snake here, what is the issue?"

He could feel the awe and frustration coming from the assassin behind him. After a moment, the radio crackled to life again and Shinichi could hear the chaos of guns shooting and people yelling.

"Sir, the police are here. They have already taken out the lower floors. What do we do?"

Shinichi breathed a sigh of relief. Now that backup had arrived, things were looking a lot more optimistic. He could hear more muffled noises from Snake as he answered, still in Snake's voice.

"How many men do we still have standing?"

In his other hand he pulled out the burner phone that KID told him to hang onto, dialing in it the only saved number. They decided at the café that Shinichi should hang onto it, since KID was going up against the main boss and couldn't be distracted. In case Nakamori Keibu decided to call, and Shinichi had more experience directing police anyway. Another second later he had his phone out on the floor as well, flicking between the cameras to give him eyes on the situation.

Ah this was more familiar, although should he lock up Snake somewhere first before dealing with this? Nah, no time. The sooner he helped the police the better.

"We have about half of our forces still standing sir, but it looks like we are about to be overrun. They have already made it to the eighth floor."

So, about a hundred guards left. Shinichi flipped between the cameras on the floors lower then them, seeing the massive army of police make their way up the main stairs, all decked out in their normal KID heist gear, complete with full body armor and riot shields. A truly comforting sight. Looks like the police were on the ninth floor and had taken care of all of the knocked out gaurds on the lower levels escorting them to the large amount of police cars outside.

He flicked back through the other cameras to see where the enemies were. They were on almost every floor in larger groups of ten and twenty. Some were even a floor below him. Now that he knew were everyone was, he could give orders. Ignoring the frantic noises from Snake, Shinichi pressed the call button on the burner phone. The burner phone rang twice before Shinichi could hear Nakamori Keibu shout from the other end, even without it on speaker phone or it next to his ear.

"KID where are—"

Shinichi interrupted him with a 'shh' before turning the radio back on.

"Here is what you need to do to evade the police, so listen carefully everyone on this line."

He waited a moment so Nakamori Keibu could quiet down and listen as well. He couldn't stay and oversee these proceedings unfortunately. He could only come up with the worst strategy for the enemy so that the police could apprehend them effectively, because he needed to take care of Spider and help KID with the main boss. He had no idea how long he had been in this building. It felt like hours, but he hadn't heard anything from KID which was worrying. he would just have to trust the police to deal with the lower-level operatives while he took out the higher ups.

"You need to split up. Some of you take the elevator to the ground floor and come up behind them. The rest of you make groups of two or three and pick a floor between ten and thirty. We can't let them near the boss. You can wear them down as they climb with guerrilla attacks. Stick by the main stairs so that when they come up the stairs you can pick them off. Have I made myself clear?"

By splitting them up into smaller groups, he hoped the task force would have less trouble dealing with them.

"Yes sir!"

He heard several affirmatives through the radio and the tramping of boots as it sounds like the remaining guards rushed to follow his orders. A quick look at the cameras confirmed it. As they He flitted through to find the camera that had Nakamori Keibu on it. He was at the front of the charge, phone glued to his ear listening intently. He picked up the burner phone, whispering into it.

"There you go Nakamori Keibu. Look to your left and if you see that door at the end of the hallway that is a set of emergency stairs. Use that to travel between floors because they will expect you to use the main stairs. Use your numbers to overwhelm them. I would also have a small group of men stay in the lobby to apprehend the group coming down the elevator. Hope you brought a lot of handcuffs."

He watched Nakamori Keibu glance down the hallway. He pointed his men in that and they quickly rushed off, looking determined, and if the movement was a little stiff due to his injured shoulder, it barely showed. He was in his element.

"Thanks KID but what about—"

Shinichi hung up before he could ask, throwing the burner phone and the radio in the backpack and zipping it up with some force. He had to keep moving. On to Spider, after he locks Snake in an office anyway. He hoped KID was having luck.
