Chloe tied Charlotte's lace for the thousandth time. Stepping back and checking it. She shook her head and was about to untie it to tie it again, but her wife stopped her.
"Chlo, it's fine, you've been tying her shoes for the millionth time." Beca chuckled, finishing Sophie's hair.
"I'm sorry, I'm just.. I'm so nervous!" Chloe said, excitedly.
Yeah, today was Saturday, the day of the all day party from the guys in Beca's studio, with Katy Perry. Chloe was really, really nervous, but excited. She was gonna meet Katy freaking Perry.
"I know, but it's okay." Beca said and smiled at her. "It's gonna be okay, you don't have to be nervous."
"I'm gonna try." Chloe said. "I'm gonna meet Katy Perry!"
"Who's Katy Perry?" Charlotte asked with a frown.
"She's a singer, sweetie. A very famous singer." Chloe said.
Charlotte nodded but still didn't understand her mother's nervousness.
Since there was a pool at the guy's house, Beca and Chloe were bringing the girls' bikinis and floaties, a change of clothes and underwear in a big bag, which Beca was packing.
Chloe put the girls' bag between the seats in the back seat, buckled Charlotte in and got in the passenger seat, since Beca had already buckled Sophie in.
"Let's go." Beca said as she drove out of the spot.
Chloe had packed another bag with toys for Sophie, since they were supposed to stay there all day and she knew Sophie could get bored. She packed plastic animals, a coloring book, three puzzles and her 'laptop'.
"Mamma, when we get there, can we go to the pool?" Charlotte asked.
"Sure, but you have to put on your sunscreen." Chloe said.
"Okay." Charlotte said and looked out the window.
Beca didn't ask if Sophie wanted to go, because if she did, that meant either Beca or Chloe would have to come in with her and neither was looking forward to it.
Beca stopped the car and checked the address in her phone, looking back at the house before nodding and putting the phone away.
"We're here." she said and parked the car.
Beca and Chloe got out, the redhead grabbed Sophie's bag and unbuckled Charlotte while Beca grabbed the bag with their clothes and unbuckled Sophie.
"We doing?" Sophie asked with a curious frown as she looked at the three story house ahead of them.
"We are at mommy's friends' party." Beca said.
Sophie looked at the house, the door was opened and there were already a bunch of people inside.
"Pee pee." she whispered to Beca, burying her head on the crook of her neck.
Beca went pale. She turned to Chloe, who was holding Charlotte's hand as they followed Beca.
"Babe, Sophie has to go potty." she said.
"Well take her, don't let her pee her pants like last time." Chloe said and narrowed her eyes while Charlotte laughed.
"Wait, take the bag." Beca said, giving her the bag before she turned around and was face to face with her boss, who had a huge grin.
"Beca, my girl! It's nice to see you! And the family!" he said.
"Listen, Mike, I'm happy to see you too but the little one has to use the restroom, where would I find one?" Beca said quickly.
Mike smiled at Sophie, who just waved lazily at him, her little head still buried in her mother's neck.
Mike grabbed Beca's shoulders and turned her around.
"This corridor, second door to your right." he said.
"Thanks!" Beca said, hurrying to get to the bathroom.
Mike shook his head and chuckled before turning to Chloe, who he's met in several occasions.
"Chloe, it's nice to see you again." he said, shaking her hand.
"You too, Mike." Chloe said with a smile. "This is our daughter, Charlotte."
Charlotte grinned to show her still growing front tooth.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Charlotte! Your mom talks a lot about you guys." Mike said.
"She does?" Charlotte asked.
"Yeah, she won't shut up." Mike chuckled.
Charlotte giggled.
"So you wanna hit the pool?" he asked.
"Yes!" Charlotte jumped in excitement.
Mike smiled and looked up at Chloe.
"There's a little dino float in the pool, if she wants." Mike said.
"Oh thanks, she has her floaties." Chloe said with a chuckle as he led the two throughout the house.
"No mamma I wanna play in the dino float!" Charlotte said.
Chloe giggled.
"I have a room outside with plastic chairs, tables, hangers and stuff if she wants to change." Mike said.
Chloe smiled.
"Thanks, Mike." she said.
"Now we're gonna have lasagna, vegetarian lasagna, salads, pasta and pork." Mike said.
"Wow! That's a lot!" Chloe chuckled.
"Yeah." Mike chuckled.
"I'm gonna put Charlotte's bikini and I'll say hi to everyone." Chloe said with a smile.
"Oh that's okay, take your time." Mike said and winked at Charlotte.
Chloe smiled and went outside, turned to her left when she saw the changing room Mike was referring to. He also had a couple bathrooms in there.
Beca came back, still carrying Sophie on her hip. She greeted Mike with a smile and a side hug.
Beca introduced her family to everyone, most of which were still in shock at how beautiful her wife and daughters were. They knew Beca was married and had two little girls, but they had never seen them.
Everyone was seated outside which was great for Chloe and Beca because they could monitor Charlotte in the pool. Mike had a line made of a rope and colorful pool noodles, separating the deep end from the shallow end of the pool, the part where Charlotte was supposed to stay.
The shallow part allowed Charlotte to stand on her feet so her shoulders and neck were out of the water, but she played with the dino float and would jump in sometimes.
Beca was sitting next to Chloe, talking to everyone. Chloe would join in the conversation sometimes and she loved it, they included her and Beca included her.
Sophie was sitting on Chloe's lap, coloring quietly and her mothers were thankful for that.
When Katy Perry arrived at the party, she greeted everyone before finally addressing Beca, who stood up with a smile.
"Beca Mitchell. It's nice to see you again." Katy said.
"It's Beale-Mitchell, actually." Beca chuckled. "But it's nice to see you again too."
Katy smiled.
"Um Katy, this is Chloe, my wife, and Sophie, our daughter." Beca smiled proudly.
Chloe could only offer a smile, since Sophie wouldn't let her stand up.
"You have a kid? I didn't know that!" Katy said. "And she's gorgeous. Your wife too. It's nice to meet you, Chloe."
Chloe shook hands with Katy, trying to hide how incredibly nervous she actually was.
"You too, I'm such a big fan of your work!" Chloe said.
Katy giggled.
"I'm glad. I'm excited to hear the album your wife is gonna produce." Katy said.
"Oh she's awesome, I'm sure she won't let you down." Chloe smiled and turned to Sophie. "Right Sophie? Isn't mommy awesome?"
"Yes." Sophie said.
"Why don't you say hi to Katy?" Chloe said.
Sophie held the green pencil in her hand and looked up at the tall lady standing next to her brunette mother. She smiled and waved at her.
"Hi!" She said.
"Hi, you're so cute!" Katy said.
"How do you say, Sophie?" Beca said.
"Yes." Sophie said, making all laugh.
"Beca, call Charlotte and introduce her to Katy!" Chloe said.
Beca called Charlotte and wrapped her in a towel, despite the girl saying she would be back in the pool.
"Char, this is the woman mommy is gonna be working with, Katy." Beca said.
"Hi Miss Katy!" Charlotte said. "I'm Charlotte!"
"Hello Charlotte. Call me Aunt Katy." Katy whispered the last part with a wink, which made Charlotte giggle.
Chloe had gotten her phone out and was filming the entire exchange. It's not everyday Katy Perry tells your kid to call her Aunt Katy.
"Wow! Aunt Katy your boobs are big!" Charlotte said.
Beca lost her color, Chloe froze and almost dropped her phone, while Sophie looked up from her coloring book to look at Katy. She then smiled and threw her hands up.
"Boobs!" She said.
Katy looked surprised herself, but she quickly laughed and put her hands on her hips, looking down before looking back at Charlotte.
"You think so?" She asked.
"Yeah. But that's good." Charlotte said. "Are you a singer?"
Katy giggled at how fast Charlotte changed the topic.
"Yes, I am." She said.
"Did you know mommy and mamma sing too? They're great! Aunt Aubrey and Aunt Stacie sing too." Charlotte said.
"Wow, so you're surrounded by singers!" Katy said.
Charlotte nodded and grinned proudly.
"Do you wanna be a singer when you grow up?" Katy asked.
"I wanna be a Bella. Like my mommy, my mamma and my aunts." Charlotte said.
Chloe looked at Beca with a loving smile.
"That's good." Katy smiled. "If you'll excuse me, I have to go. But I wanna take a picture with you later." She winked at Charlotte, who nodded with a smile.
Katy waved at Charlotte and then at Sophie, about to turn around when the little one stopped her.
"No!" Sophie pouted, looking at Katy.
"What is it, baby? You don't want Katy to go?" Chloe asked.
"No." Sophie said, not losing her pout.
"That's okay, sweetie, I have to talk to some people but I'm not going anywhere." Katy said.
Sophie didn't lose her pout but she let Katy go without complaining this time.
Charlotte went back to the pool and Beca sat back down next to Chloe, grabbing her hand and intertwining their fingers with a smile.
Sophie watched Katy talking to people before finally sitting down, a few feet away from Beca and Chloe.
Beca and Chloe were talking, sometimes talking to Beca's friends from the studio. Chloe loved that they filled her in in the jokes, included her as much as they could so she never felt left out.
Sophie looked at Beca, then at Chloe before closing her coloring book and putting the pencil down. She hopped off of Chloe's lap and grabbed her coloring book.
"Ah." she said, pointing at the pencil case.
"What do you want, Sophie?" Chloe asked.
"Ah!" Sophie said, still pointing at the pencil case.
"Use your little words, Sophie." Chloe said.
"Pease." Sophie said with a pout.
Chloe giggled, put the pencils inside the pink pencil case and handed it to her daughter, who held it under her arm.
"Where are you going?" Chloe frowned.
Sophie didn't answer, she just walked around the table and stopped next to Katy. She put the coloring on the table before putting the pencil case.
"Hey, sweetie, what are you doing?" Katy asked.
Sophie raised her arms with a smile.
"Up!" she said.
Katy picked her up and placed her on her lap. Sophie opened the coloring book and looked back at Katy.
"You do?" Sophie asked.
"You want me to color with you?" Katy asked.
"Yes." Sophie said. She opened the pencil case and handed a yellow pencil to Katy. "You."
At this point, Chloe was shaking Beca's arm violently, pointing the scene out to her wife, with a huge grin.
"Our daughter is sitting on Katy Perry's lap!" Chloe tried not to squeal too loudly so only Beca could hear her.
"And demanding her to color with her." Beca added.
Katy grabbed the yellow pencil and colored the part Sophie indicated. The toddler watched closely to make sure Katy did a good job. When she finished, Sophie smiled widely and clapped her hands.
"Yaaaaay!" She said.
Katy giggled.
"Did I do a good job?" Katy asked.
"Yes." Sophie nodded and turned the page. The next page showed a very big dog. "Me do."
Sophie grabbed the brown pencil and started coloring the dog the way toddlers do. She finished coloring and put the pencil down before hopping off of Katy's lap.
"Where are you going? We were coloring!" Katy said.
Sophie mumbled something Katy didn't understand and walked over to her mothers and reached into the toys bag and grabbed a big brown plastic horse and a redheaded Barbie.
Chloe giggled as she watched Sophie go back to where Katy was sitting and hand her the toys before climbing back on her lap.
"Me." Sophie said grabbing the Barbie. "You."
She gave the horse to Katy, who laughed at the irony along with her agent who was sitting a few chairs away from her and was filming everything.
"You know Sophie, I have a song that goes 'cause I'm coming at you like a dark horse'." Katy sang, walking the horse along the table, towards the Barbie.
Sophie held the Barbie close to her chest when she saw that and pouted at Katy.
"No come me." She said, which made people laugh.
"You don't want me to come at you with my dark horse?" Katy asked, holding the horse.
"No." Sophie said.
She grabbed the horse, telling Katy to hold it as she put the Barbie on top of the horse and smiled.
"Yaaaaaay!" She said, throwing her arms up.
"Yay!" Katy said, giggling.
"Go go now!" Sophie said.
Katy made noise as she held the horse and walked it. She smiled as Sophie giggled and clapped her hands.
"Wait, cutie. Can I take a picture with you?" Katy asked, asking for her phone.
"Yes." Sophie said.
Katy turned to Beca and Chloe.
"Can I take a picture with your daughter?" Katy asked.
Chloe nodded while Beca gave her thumbs up.
Katy opened the camera and switched to the front camera before holding it away so she could take a selfie with Katy. Sophie smiled and wrapped her tiny arms around Katy's neck.
Mike saw the struggle and offered to take the picture for Katy, which the woman was grateful for.
Katy knelt on one knee so Sophie could wrap her arms around her neck again.
Mike took a few pictures before handing the phone back to Katy, who posted on her Instagram with the caption "my new producer has the cutest children ever!" and she tagged Beca on the picture.
Beca could see Katy wanted to talk and Sophie kept her busy with her toys. She stood up and walked over to them and gently tapped Sophie's shoulder.
Sophie looked up and when she saw her mom, she frowned and pouted.
"No! Mommy go!" Sophie said, pushing Beca away and hugging Katy.
"Why don't you come play with me and mamma and let Katy talk to everyone?" Beca asked.
"No." Sophie hugged Katy tighter.
"Come on, baby." Beca said. Sophie shook her head. "Hey, how about this: we'll go change and I'll go to the pool with you?"
Sophie lost her frown and pout and looked at the pool.
"Pool?" She asked.
"Yeah! We can play with the dino float Char is playing with." Beca said.
Sophie smiled and raised her arms.
"Yaaaay!" She said. "Pool!"
Beca laughed and picked her up.
"Bye!" Sophie waved at Katy, who giggled and waved back.
"Have fun!" Katy said.

Beca and Chloe were eating dessert, watching Sophie quietly since the toddler was just looking around, sometimes calling her sister for attention. She then suddenly hopped off of her seat and stood in front of Charlotte's. She mumbled something no one would understand and pointed at Katy.
Charlotte just put her empty plate down and the two ran over to Katy. Sophie climbed on the woman's lap without even asking, while Charlotte just stood next to her with a grin.
"Hi Miss Katy!" Charlotte grinned.
"Hi!" Sophie said with a grin and Katy giggled.
"I thought I told you to call me Aunt Katy." Katy said.
Charlotte giggled.
"Aunt Katy with the big boobs!" Charlotte said.
"Yaaay! Boobs!" Sophie said, throwing her arms up.
"Charlotte!" Beca warned.
"Oops." Charlotte said before looking back at Katy.
"So you like boobs?" Katy said giggling.
"Yes. I wanna grow up so I can have boobs." Charlotte said.
Katy laughed as people around her paid attention to Charlotte.
"That's cool." Katy said.
"Yeah! Women are awesome!" Charlotte said, throwing her arms up. "I wanna be just like mommy and mamma when I grow up. They are beautiful and kind and wonderful."
Katy smiled.
"You will be, I mean you look just like your mommy." Katy said.
Charlotte grinned at that.
"I like you, Aunt Katy. You should meet my other aunts." Charlotte said.
Katy giggled. Charlotte got closer to her.
"Aunt Stacie and Aunt Aubrey just had a baby, his name is Joel! He's the cutest." Charlotte said.
"Awww! That's nice!" Katy said.
"Yeah." Charlotte said. "So you and mommy are gonna work together?"
"Yeah." Katy said.
Sophie threw her hands up and squealed.
"And what are you gonna do?" Charlotte asked.
"She is gonna produce my album." Katy said.
"Oh!" Charlotte said. "Mommy's gonna do a good job, she's awesome."
"Yeah, I spoke to your mom, I'm sure she's gonna do a great job." Katy said.
"You're gonna love her." Charlotte said but then straightened up and gave Katy a look. "But don't steal her from mamma."
Charlotte made the 'I'll be watching you' signal, while Katy tried to bit the insides of her cheeks to stop her from laughing, I mean, the kid was so terribly cute and it was amazing that she tried to protect her mom.
"I won't, don't worry." Katy said, trying to keep a straight face.
Sophie watched her sister and looked up at Katy, trying to mirror her sister but she only pointed her index finger at her and couldn't keep a straight face so she smiled at the woman.
Charlotte then ran to her mothers and sat on Chloe's lap.
"Hey honey, were you talking to Katy?" Chloe asked, brushing Charlotte's hair away from her face and kissing her cheek.
"Yeah. I told her not to steal mommy from you." Charlotte said proudly.
"You did?" Beca asked, amused and scared at the same time. What if Katy didn't like it?
"Yes." Charlotte said with a grin.
"Oh my God." Beca said. "Char, I'm gonna be working with this woman."
"I know, mommy." Charlotte said.
Beca stood up and walked over to Katy, to find her playing with Sophie. Her daughter saw her and grinned, waving at her and making the brunette singer turn to face her.
"Hey Beca!" she said.
"Hi mommy!" Sophie said.
"Hey, listen I'm sorry about what Charlotte —," Beca began, really worried.
"— Hey, don't worry, I'm not mad. Charlotte is super sweet, I thought it was really cute she was protecting her family." Katy said with a smile. "Because you do have a gorgeous family, Beca."
Beca blushed and smiled at her, before smiling at Sophie.
"Thanks, I've been blessed." Beca said and looked at Sophie. "Sophie, wanna go play with Char?"
Sophie shook her head with her 'mad face' and crossed her arms.
"No." she said.
"Come on, honey, Char wants to play with you." Beca said.
"No." Sophie said.
"It's okay, honey, you can play with Katy later." Beca said.
"Pomise?" Sophie asked.
"I promise." Katy said. Sophie looked at her and Katy winked at her.
Sophie looked back at her mom and hopped off of Katy's lap. She yawned and raised her arms in Beca's direction with the cutest sleepy face.
"Up." she said.
"I think it's time for your nap." Beca said with a chuckle as she returned to her seat next to Chloe.
"You too, Char." Chloe said, looking at their oldest daughter, who was sitting in front of her playing with one of Sophie's puzzles.
Beca held Sophie closer to her and the redhead snuggled up to her like a baby and slowly closed her eyes. Beca smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Do you want me to see if we can put them on the couch?" Chloe asked.
"I think so, yeah." Beca nodded.
Chloe smiled and stood up to go find Mike. Charlotte immediately took her seat.
"We have a wonderful family, don't we, Char?" Beca asked.
"We are a wonderful family, mommy!" Charlotte said. "That's why I told Aunt Katy to not steal you from mamma."
"Char, no one and I mean no one can steal me from mamma and from you girls. I love you girls and nothing and no one can change that." Beca said.
Charlotte stood up and carefully hugged her mother, hearing her sister humming in disapproval but she felt her hug them too.
"I love you, mommy." Charlotte whispered.
Beca felt her eyes filling with tears.
"I love you guys too. So much." Beca said. "And that will never change."
Charlotte smiled and Beca kissed her cheek then Sophie's before they saw Chloe coming back followed by Mike.
