Chapter 15

**Three months later, Kagome is now 7 months Pregnant**

Kagome sat on her bed staring out her window, a single small sigh escaping her throat as she felt her children kick and move around, a sharp pain hit her, stomach grew painfully tight. She sat up, her hands around her stomach as she let out a pain filled scream. Within seconds her door busted open, her mother and her brother ran inside.

"Kagome are you alright?" Kiki ran over to her daughter, hand on her stomach. Eyes laced over in fear.

Kagome began to speak before another pain struck, her voice lost in the sea of pain. Kiki quickly helped her daughter stand but in the same movement she had to catch her daughter before she fell.

"Sota! Call an ambulance! Kagome is in labor, quickly!" Kiki began barking out orders, her eyes went back to kagome. Mentally she timed the contractions and how far apart they were.

It didn't take long for the ambulance to come, sota had showed them to Kagome's room. With the help of her mother and the two paramedics they were able to get kagome into the ambulance.

"Sota, go with kagome, i'm going to get some clothes together for her and the babies then i'll meet you at the hospital"

She hugged her son, kissed her daughter's head with a gentle reminder to breathe and watched as the ambulance pulled away. She raced quickly back into the house, she pulled her phone out and called the number again. She put the phone to her ear as she packed the clothing. She looked at the phone frustrated then opted to send it a message.

-*Kagome is in the hospital, she went into preterm labor. It is progressing quickly. Your child is most likely being born today! you tell her NOW, TODAY. Or so help me god i will make sure you will never see her or the pups again. She has been suffering since she has gotten back! I have watched my daughter, my first born, mourn her pregnancy because she misses you. Sesshomaru. This is supposed to be a joyous occasion and instead it has been frightful for her because she has had to do it without you. You have known of her arrival for months now! IT'S NOW OR NEVER! Make your choice carefully.*-

She sent the message, and let out a frustrated scream. She grabbed the bags and ran to put on her shoes. She stopped by the pictures that were mounted of her husband, mother and father she put her hands together and bowed her head

"Darling, our daughter needs help. Please watch over her and our grandchildren, I fear this man will back out and not show up for her when she needs him most. I hope I'm doing the right thing by her and making you proud. I miss you each and everyday, i wish you were here to help me with this…you always knew what to do, you always knew how to make the bad seem so much better than what the present moment makes us feel..you always knew how to reach her on levels i could never reach her on'' feeling helpless, frustrated, hopeful and yet at the same time hopeless, she pulled the bag up further on her shoulder and raced out the door. Even if he decided not to be there, she refused to let her daughter be on her own. She would be there in whatever way Kagome needed her to be, until the day she left her children to reunite with her parents and her one true love.

Sota stood by his sister's side, holding her hand while she breathed through the labor pains.

"Just hang in there sis, mom should be here soon. She'll know what to do"

As if on que KiKi walked into the room, she set the bags down and went to her daughters side. She brushed the hair out of her face and placed a delicate kiss on her forehead.

"Has the doctor been in to see her yet?"

Sota shook his head no, he started to speak but another of kagome's screams cut through the room as she gripped both her brother and her mothers hands. After the contraction subsided for now the door began to open. In came a group of people, two women and two men, Kagome's eyes widened and tears began threatening to flood her face.

A young woman, short black hair, hazel brown eyes and a bright smile entered the conference room.

"Excuse the interruption gentlemen, father. It's urgent. I need to speak to you privately"

The man nodded silently before excusing himself. He walked out of the dimly lit room into the bright office and into his office. The woman closed the door behind him and handed him his phone. She stood quietly as she studied her father's expressions and waited for his directions.

He read the message that was sent to his phone, he looked and saw he had missed a few calls from the same number before the message was sent. He smiled lovingly before his face became one of fear and angust.

"Pull shippo and inuyasha from their offices and meet me in the car. It's happening. Rin..you and your brother are about to see your mother and your newest siblings soon. She's in premature labor and her mother is threatening to take us out of the picture."

Rin took an angry but hesitant step before she spoke, Sesshomaru interrupted her.

"Don't be angry with her. She is only doing a mothers job and protecting her daughter. It's time to go get the rest of our family and bring them home. Weather you know it or not, her mother is actually more terrifying than kagome..it isn't hard to see where she gets it from"

He let out a small chuckle as he looked at the picture of kagome's latest ultrasound and smiled. Doing as her father said she went to her brother's office first. She knocked on the door and popped her head in.

"Shippo, it's time. Mother is in labor..father said we were going to see her"

After seeing her brother nod, she went to her uncle's office and knocked. When she opened the door she walked over to her mate and kissed him softly then looked to her uncle.

"Uncle, it's time. We're bringing mother home. She's in the hospital right now in labor"

After fetching both men she had gotten into the car and smiled brightly. Finally after all these years. After five hundred years she was finally going to see her mother again, she was going to get to see her siblings. After five hundred years her family was going to FINALLY be reunited, truth be known it killed her and her brother immensely to not only have to keep their distance from their mother and not let her know they were there, but unable to get her on the day she returned. But her father was right, alot happened while she was in the jewel but the shock to her pregnant system on the return back home was a lot too. They didn't want to risk overwhelming her completely and risk hurting the baby that rested inside her stomach.

She knew it wasn't just tough on them but on everyone, especially their father. He missed her completely. Within five hundred years her father had received millions of requests for marriage by several women, several families of these women. A lot of the women were amazingly beautiful but each and everyone were turned down by her father without a second thought or a moment of hesitation. He had remained celibate and faithful to her, through all the years there was no one her father longed for more than her mother. The thought of the intimacy and intensity of her parents' love was both sicking and amazing to her, it was what she strived to have with her own mate.

Kagome began to cry heartfelt sobs as she tried to get out of bed for the moment at least she forgot how much she was in from the labor.

"You're here, you're all alive" she tried to run over to them before another contraction hit sesshomaru and shippo used their demon speed to race over to her side in an instant and held her up as she screamed through another contraction.

"Mother, you shouldn't be out of bed, please lay down" shippo looked at her with loving and sad eyes that were begging her to do as he asked. It may have been years since he saw his mother last but he never forgot how stubborn she was when it came to her family.

Nodding as she did what was asked, helped by sesshomaru and shippo she laid back down and began to hug her son tightly.

"Shippo, look how big you've grown. You're all grown up now, you probably don't need your mother anymore do you." he wiped the tears away from his mother's eyes and smiled lovingly

"That's so silly mother, no matter how old or how big I get I will always need you. Your my mother"

She smiled lovingly, next was Rin. she got into her mother's bed with her and hugged her tight, crying her own tears as her mother returned the tight embrace and stroked her hair. She missed this, she missed how her mother would always comfort her, how her mother would always hold her so tightly when she was sad, she raised up her mother only an arms length away.

"I missed you so much mother"

Kagome smiled "i miss"

Another contraction hit, everyone gathered around kagome until it subsided. Kiki stood up

"I'm going to see what's taking the doctor so long. Hang in there, we'll get you some kind of pain relief.

Kagome nodded before her attention turned to sesshomaru. She smiled warmly and lovingly

"Koi, you made it."

He smiled back. "I told you, i will always find you"

He kissed her lovingly and passionately for what felt like a lifetime but she never wanted to breathe again, when he pulled away it suddenly had felt like it was not nearly long enough. Before she could acknowledge the others in the room, the doctor had entered the room followed by her mother.

"Miss higurashi? I have looked over your file. I want to try and stop this labor. Try to keep those babies in for a while longer. If I deliver now their chance for survival is not ideal. With multiples in a single pregnancy especially for a first time mother it isn't unheard of for a premature birth. But I fear these children are trying to come earlier than I feel comfortable with"

Kagome nodded as the doctor spoke, agreeing with his plan to stop the labor and let her children grow more before delivering them. She was given two shots to stop the labor and a shot of a steroid to mature their lungs quicker as a precaution. With the agreement and promise she would stay on a strict bedrest she was allowed to go home. It was agreed that she would go home with sesshomaru and her family.
