Taking care of two kids on her own wasn't easy, even though Charlotte and Sophie weren't babies anymore, but they were little kids and they did require attention.

Sophie wasn't crying as much anymore and she was always asking Chloe to turn on her laptop so she could see her mother. Sometimes Chloe would have to explain that mommy was busy but she promised Sophie she'd see her later and the toddler understood.

Beca called to let them know she would be arriving on the same day, she wasn't going to be able to catch an earlier flight, but that wasn't a problem for the family, they were just happy and anxious for her to come home.

On a Thursday, Chloe spent the afternoon working from home while spending some time with the girls. The three were super bored and tired of eating at home, so Chloe thought it'd be a good idea to take them to a new place. She liked Mexican food, but she realized her and Beca had never taken the girls to eat in a Mexican place and decided that was going to be the plan for the evening.

So Chloe got the girls dressed, saying they were going out to eat this time, which made the girls very happy.

"Why are we going without mommy?" Charlotte asked as she put on her shoes.

"We're going to see if we like this restaurant and, if we do, we can take mommy when she comes back." Chloe said with a smile. She finished tying Sophie's shoes and stepped back.

"Okay." Charlotte said. "What food are we eating?"

"The kind of food we're eating is Mexican." Chloe said. "It's really good, they have nachos, tacos, burritos.."

"Mommy loves tacos! She loves Taco Bell!" Charlotte remembered.

"Yeah she does, but this is not Taco Bell, it's much better than Taco Bell." Chloe winked.

"Okay." Charlotte said.

Chloe was putting Sophie's hair into two ponytails, giggling while Sophie played with her dress. Charlotte was playing with Charlotte, since Chloe explained to her she shouldn't take her toys out or she could lose them.

Sophie lifted her dress, holding the hem over her head and, since Chloe was standing behind her, she couldn't see anything in Sophie's front.

"Sophie, pull down your dress." Chloe said with a chuckle.

Sophie made a noise and turned around, lifting the hem of the dress again and Chloe was shocked to find her daughter wasn't wearing any underwear.

"Sophie, I put panties on you, where are they?" Chloe asked.

Sophie pointed the floor, where the baby pink panties now lay.

"Why did you take your panties off?" Chloe asked with a look and Sophie laughed.

"Sophie, not wearing underwear is not cool." Charlotte said.

"Yes cool." Sophie said, laughing again.

"Well Soph, we're going out to eat in a nice restaurant so that means you're gonna have to keep your underwear on, alright?" Chloe explained.

Sophie nodded and grabbed her pink panties and handed them to her mom. Chloe turned them the right way and held them out for Sophie to put them on.

"Do you wanna go potty, Sophie? Is that why you took your panties off?" Chloe asked.

"Go go!" Sophie said, running into the bathroom.

"I knew it." Chloe said with a chuckle and stood up before Charlotte stopped her.

"I'll go mamma!" she said and ran after her sister.

Chloe was surprised but didn't oppose, she knew Charlotte took great care of her sister.

Charlotte helped Sophie onto the toilet, which wasn't very tall since Beca and Chloe had built a kids bathroom especially for Charlotte and Sophie, with a shorter sink and a wooden platform so Sophie could reach it when they brushed their teeth.

"Big girls wipe themselves when they go potty." Charlotte said.

Sophie was still sitting on the toilet and she paid attention to her big sister, intrigued.

"Me big." Sophie said.

"So do you wanna try?" Charlotte asked.

Sophie nodded. Charlotte gave her some toilet paper and the toddler hopped off of the toilet seat before wiping herself and throwing the paper away.

"Yay!" Sophie said, throwing her arms up.

"Yay!" Charlotte said. "Now flush!"

Sophie pressed the silver knob on the toilet and started jumping when the toilet flushed. Charlotte pulled the lid down and Sophie pulled her panties back up.

"Let's go!" Charlotte grabbed Sophie's hand and the two ran back to Sophie's room, where Chloe was using the mirror on Sophie's closet to check her hair.

"Mamma, I taught Sophie how to clean herself!" Charlotte said.

"Mamma, me big!" Sophie said.

"You're my big girl!" Chloe smiled and kissed Sophie's cheek. "Now let's go."

Chloe buckled the two in and drove to the restaurant. She sent a text to Beca letting her know that her girls were going out for dinner but the brunette didn't reply. Chloe knew she was probably busy, so she didn't bother her.

The restaurant was very big and it had fake cacti, red and green lights and flowers all around. The waiters and waitresses were dressed appropriately and some of the customers were wearing sombreros.

"Mamma, hats!" Sophie said, pointing out the sombreros while Chloe picked her up to sit her down on her high chair.

"Can I wear one?" Charlotte said.

Chloe chuckled as the waitress approached once she they had sat down.

"Hello, my name is Wendy, I'm gonna be your waitress for the evening." the girl said with a nice smile.

"Hi Wendy." Charlotte said. "I'm Charlotte!"

Wendy offered Charlotte a smile before turning to Chloe.

"Will you be ordering your drinks yet?" Wendy asked.

"Sure, I'm gonna have some a strawberry lemonade, Charlotte what do you want?" Chloe asked.

"Strawberry juice." Charlotte said.

"Okay so make it two strawberry juices please and a strawberry lemonade." Chloe said with a smile. "But do you have a plastic cup maybe? Or a straw?"

"We do have plastic cups and straws." Wendy nodded. "Will that be all?"

"For now yes, Wendy, thank you." Chloe said with a smile.

"I'll be right back with your drinks." Wendy said and left.

"Mamma, I want a hat!" Charlotte said and pouted.

"They're called 'sombreros', Char." Chloe said. "And when Wendy comes back, we can ask her if she has one for you."

"Yay!" Charlotte said.

"Now we should decide what we want to eat." Chloe said. "How about nachos, some guacamole..?"

"I want a burrito, mamma!" Charlotte said, showing Chloe the menu. "This one."

"Okay." Chloe said.

Wendy returned with their drinks and, to Sophie and Charlotte's surprise, she had two pink plastic cups with white straws. Charlotte didn't really care about the color of the cups or the straws, but Sophie broke into a huge grin.

"Thanks Wendy." Chloe said.

"You're welcome." Wendy smiled.

Chloe placed the order and Wendy nodded, but before the waitress could leave, Charlotte grabbed her by the apron.

"Miss Wendy, can I have a hat?" she asked.

"Oh you want a sombrero?" Wendy asked.

"Yes, please!" Charlotte said.

"I'm gonna bring it to you." Wendy winked and Charlotte grinned.

"Thank you, Miss Wendy!" Charlotte said.

"You're welcome, sweetie." Wendy smiled and left.

Chloe smiled at Charlotte as she helped Sophie with her cup and straw, since the redhead was having difficulty.

"Excuse me."

Chloe looked up and saw an old lady standing there. She looked to be in her 70's and she was apparently alone in the restaurant. She was wearing a beige sweater and black pants and her accessories — necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings — were huge but Chloe could tell they were fake.

"Hello." Chloe said, while her daughters paid no attention to the old woman.

"Can I say? Your daughters are so beautiful, you and your husband must be so proud." she said. "You two are doing a great job."

"Thank you so much, but I don't have a husband, I have a wife." Chloe said.

The woman's face turned into a frown. She looked at Chloe before looking at the children, as if she was seeing monsters.

"You're gonna ruin those kids' lives, this is a sin! Kids should be raised by a father and a mother." The woman said, and Chloe could not believe what she was hearing. All she could do was stare and listen in shock. "Give those girls out to a real family. Let them be raised by a man and a woman, like it should be. Kids should never be raised by two women, what you are doing is against the nature! It's against the laws of God!"

"Hey!" to Chloe's surprise, it was Sophie and Charlotte who stopped the old woman. "Mamma and mommy are the best, they are the best family ever and they love us a lot. They can love who they want to because love is beautiful!"

"Bad!" Sophie said and threw her juice at the woman with her mad face.

"Mommy and mamma are not against God because God loves everyone." Charlotte said.

Sophie poked out her tongue and even spat at the woman by accident.

"You're old and ugly and stupid!" Charlotte continued and also threw her juice at the woman. "Stop saying bad things about mamma and mommy, they are the best! Better than you, stupid old woman!"

"Go go!" Sophie said, using her little hands to push the woman away.

"Go away!" Charlotte said, crossing her arms. "Or I'm going to slap your old butt!"

The woman could do nothing but stare in shock, then she looked around, looking for support but the entire restaurant was staring and, by the looks of it, were on the girls' side.

The old lady looked at Chloe one last time, then she looked at Charlotte and the little girl gave her the finger. She gasped and immediately left the restaurant, appalled.

The crowd, to Chloe's surprise, applauded Charlotte and Sophie and that brought tears to Chloe's eyes. The redhead stood up and hugged Charlotte tight, giving her a kiss on the forehead.

"That old woman was bad!" Charlotte said.

"I don't normally like you throwing your juice at other people or giving them the finger, but that woman was saying bad stuff about your family." Chloe said.

"I know." Charlotte said. "I just did it because she was saying bad things about you and mommy. She is not right."

"She isn't." Chloe agreed.

"She's stupid." Charlotte said. "Because she made you cry."

Chloe chuckled and wiped her tears as she saw Wendy approaching.

"Is everything alright, miss?" Wendy asked, seeing the girls' juices all over the floor and the tears in Chloe's eyes.

"Yeah, thanks. That old lady was harassing us." Chloe said, sitting back on her seat.

"Yeah, she said mommy and mamma are wrong for loving each other." Charlotte said. "Sophie and I threw juice at her."

Wendy chuckled.

"Don't worry, sweetie, she won't bother you guys anymore." Wendy said. "And I'm gonna bring you two more juices on the house." Wendy said with a smile towards Chloe.

"Oh thank you, Wendy, thank you so much!" Chloe said.

"You're welcome, I'll be right back." Wendy said and left with the empty plastic cups.

Another waitress came to clean the juice from the floor and a couple minutes, a male waitress came with their food. The nachos plate wasn't that big, it was good for just Chloe and Sophie, since she knew the tiny redhead wouldn't eat a lot of it. And Charlotte's burrito looked very good, Chloe asked the waiter beforehand if the chef minded going easy on the hot sauce and the waiter said there was no problem.

"This burrito looks so good, Char, will you able to eat it all on your own?" Chloe asked, half teasing, half actually worried.

"Yes, mamma." Charlotte said, picking the burrito up with her hands.

"Sar?" Sophie asked timidly, eyeing Charlotte's burrito.

"Do you want a piece, Soph?" Charlotte asked.

Sophie nodded, still looking timid.

"That's okay, Char, mamma can cut it." Chloe said and Charlotte put the burrito on her plate and handed it to Chloe.

Sophie was sitting beside Chloe and Charlotte was sitting across the table from Chloe.

Chloe cut a small part of the burrito and then cut it in tiny pieces, putting them on a plate for Sophie before handing the plate back to Charlotte.

Sophie ate a piece with her hands as Chloe reached out and grabbed a nacho, dipping in the guacamole before bringing it to her mouth, humming at the amazing taste.

Sophie saw what her mother eating pointed at it, only saying 'ah'.

"Do you wanna try it, Sophie?" Chloe asked and Sophie nodded. "What's the magic word?"

"Pease." Sophie said.

"Here." Chloe grabbed a nacho, broke it in two, then broke it in two again, dipping it gently in the guacamole before giving it to her youngest daughter.

Sophie grabbed it and ate it. She then looked at Chloe and her face broke into a very happy one.

"Is it good?" Chloe asked. "Do you like it? Do you like guacamole"

"Yes!" Sophie said with a grin. "Aca moly."

Chloe's eyes went wide in shock and she froze.

"What did you say?"

"Good aca moly." Sophie said before reaching out in the nachos direction. "Mamma!"

"Oh my God! You said aca-moly!" Chloe said. "You're a Bella!"

"Duh!" Charlotte said, her face all covered in sauce.

Chloe chuckled.

"Mamma!" Sophie whined, pouting.

Chloe gave her more nachos and guacamole, which Sophie ate in a heartbeat, along with the rest of her cut up burrito.

oO0Oo

Of course, Chloe knew Beca would be arriving in the afternoon, in time for dinner, so Sophie insisted they had 'aca moly', which Chloe obviously knew how to make, so she went out after lunch with the girls, they got nachos, the ingredients and the three made the guacamole.

Sophie was having a lot of fun, she had never cooked with her moms before, she was always interested in playing but since the menu tonight was 'aca moly', she wanted to make it herself.

"Charlotte, Sophie, mamma is gonna get a glass of water, okay? Watch the guacamole." Chloe said and received two nods from her daughters.

When Chloe turned around, Sophie immediately dove her index finger in the guacamole with a grin and licked it off before doing it a second time.

"Sophie!" Charlotte said when she caught her sister doing that for the third time. "You can't lick your finger and put it back in the guacamole, that's disgusting!"

"But good aca moly." Sophie said.

"Sophie, your sister is right." Chloe said, putting her glass down before going back to stand between the girls. "You can't do that, Soph."

"Sowwy mamma." Sophie said.

Sophie pouted but Chloe was grateful that she didn't cry.

"Do you still want to help us?" Chloe asked.

Sophie nodded.

"Then we should wash your hand." Chloe said. "Come on."

Chloe left the kitchen and Sophie followed her and the two returned not a full minute later.

They put the guacamole in the fridge, Chloe got the girls dressed, buckled in and they headed to the airport. Charlotte and Sophie were singing and clapping their hands the whole time, so excited to see their mother again.

Since her flight was supposed to get in in 45 minutes, Chloe sat down and gave the girls a snack. Sophie sat on her lap while Charlotte sat next to her, reading from a book Chloe let her bring, quietly.

"Mommy hee?" Sophie asked her mom.

"No, not yet, but she's gonna be here soon." Chloe said with a smile.

"Yaay!" Sophie said.

Chloe smiled, placing a kiss on the top of Sophie's head.

When it was announced that Beca's flight had landed, Chloe stood up to go wait for her. She held her daughters' hands as they peeked through the crowd.

"Mamma, up! Up!" Sophie said. Chloe picked her up and carried her on her hip, holding Charlotte's hand tight.

Charlotte spotted her first and she let go of Chloe's hand, running the fastest she could towards her brunette mother. Chloe then put Sophie down and the toddler did the same with her redheaded mother right after her.

Beca knelt down and opened her arms, tears already filling her eyes. She hugged her daughters tight and shut her eyes.

"My babies, my babies, mommy missed you so much!" Beca said, a little embarrassed by how her voice broke.

"We missed you too mommy!" Charlotte said.

Beca stood up, the girls hugged her legs though and she laughed before looking up at her wife.

Chloe immediately threw her arms around Beca's neck, connecting their lips for a long moment before hugging her wife.

"I missed you so much." Chloe said. "I'm so glad you're home."

"I'm so glad to be home." Beca said, pulling apart to wipe her tears.

Chloe kissed her again and the two looked down at the girls. Sophie was grinning widely and Charlotte hadn't let go of her mother's leg.

"Mommy can you pick me up?" Charlotte asked.

Beca giggled and did just that, carrying Charlotte on her hip and kissing her cheek.

"Beca, she's too heavy!" Chloe said.

"Nonsense." Beca said. "She's growing up too fast, pretty soon she will be too heavy and I won't be able to pick her up."

Charlotte laid her head on her mother's shoulder with a happy sigh.

"I love you, mommy." She said.

Beca smiled, using her other hand to wipe her tears.

"I love you too." She said, kissing the top of Charlotte's head.

"Mamma, up, up!" Sophie said.

Chloe picked Sophie up and giggled.

"I think it's time to go home now, right?" Beca said. "I can't wait to go home."

"Let's go!" Charlotte said and Beca put her down. She immediately grabbed her mother's carry on bag.

Beca laughed but grabbed Charlotte's free hand and carried her luggage with the other while Chloe carried Sophie on her hip.

When they got home, Beca took her bags upstairs to her room and threw herself on the bed with a sigh and closed her eyes.

"Mommy, mommy!" Charlotte and Sophie said shouting as they climbed on the bed with their mother.

"It's so good to be home again." Beca said with a happy sigh.

"Don't you wanna start unpacking?" Chloe asked.

"No, we can do that after lunch." Beca said.

"I'm sorry, did you say 'we'?" Chloe asked.

"Yeah, all of us." Beca said.

"And why do you think we're going to help you?" Chloe crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow playfully.

"I got presents." Beca said in a 'duh' tone.

"Oh presents?!" Charlotte said.

"Yay!" Sophie said.

"Yes, I got presents for everyone but," Beca said, sitting up so she could look at her daughters. "I'm only giving them out after lunch."

"Okay. Come on, then mommy! Mamma, Sophie and I made lunch!" Charlotte said.

"Sophie chose it." Chloe added.

"Yes!" Sophie clapped her hands.

"Oh you chose the menu, Soph? And you three made it?" Beca asked.

"Yes, so come on try it." Charlotte said grabbing her mother's hand as she got off of the bed.

Chloe chuckled and moved out of the way when the three went almost running downstairs to the dining room, where the table had been previously set.

"Mamma, I will get the juice." Charlotte informed her mother and went to the fridge.

Chloe gave her the jar of juice while she grabbed the guacamole and put it on the table.

Of course, they weren't having only guacamole and nachos, Chloe made tacos with the girls' help but Sophie refused to let Chloe put the tacos on the table because 'aca moly' was enough.

"Ooh we're having nachos?" Beca said as she sat down.

"No, we're having nachos and guacamole." Charlotte said.

"Good aca moly!" Sophie said.

"Oh my God! Sophie you said aca-moly!" Beca said.

"Yes." Sophie said.

"That's so cute!" Beca said.

"Is 'aca-moly' like you and mamma say sometimes 'aca-awesome'?" Charlotte asked with a frown.

"Yeah." Beca chuckled when Chloe came back with the tacos.

"Oh! Sophie is so aca-cute then!" Charlotte said.

"Sophie and you, my child." Beca said and Charlotte grinned.

"No aca cute, aca moly!" Sophie said, impatient.

Chloe laughed and put her on her high chair.

"Want to dig in, Soph?" she asked and Sophie nodded.

Chloe put a small plate of nachos in front of Sophie as well as a small bowl with some guacamole. She also offered her a taco, but Sophie refused to eat anything other than 'aca moly'.

"How is it, babe?" Chloe asked, knowingly.

"Oh this is amazing! Aca-amazing!" Beca said and Chloe giggled.

"Aca-delicious!" Charlotte said.

"Aca moly!" Sophie grinned, raising her nacho as high as she could before dipping it in the guacamole. "Good aca moly!"

The other three laughed at Sophie's antics and Charlotte did the same thing as her, making the tiny redhead laugh loudly.

"Mommy you do." Sophie said.

Beca sighed and rolled her eyes playfully before grabbing a nacho and repeating the action, making the entire family laugh.

"God, I missed my girls." Beca smiled.

Chloe smiled back at her and kissed her lips softly.

"We missed you too." Chloe said.

"Yeah we did." Charlotte said.

Beca smiled.

"Mamma you do." Sophie said after a moment of silence.

Chloe laughed before grabbing a nacho.

Yay! Good on Sophie and Charlotte for defending their family! What did you think?
