"Mama, wake up mama!" Serenity's eyes fluttered open to stare at her three year old daughter Endymions laugh sounding from the other side of the room.
"Small lady, let you mama sleep, she is growing your sister." he came in sweeping Rini off her feet making her laugh and Serenity laugh as well as she sat up in bed.
"Daddy, it's my birthday! Mama promised a picnic."
"It is both of my girls' birthdays." Endymion leaned down kissing Serenity causing the little girl in his arms to yell 'ew' before shaking herself loose and running out of the room.
"How is my Queen?" Endymion whispered kissing her again,
"Excited for the day." she whispered back as her husband helped her stand up her belly almost making her topple over forward.
Endymion helped his wife dress in a simple satin gown that wouldn't be too hot during their picnic. They walked through the palace hand in hand talking to Servants or anyone who passed them by. Three years after the Rebellion, King Endymion and Queen Serenity have proved to be some of the most compassionate rulers the Earth Kingdom as well as the Moon Kingdom have seen. Though Serenity's mother still oversaw most of the business on the moon as well as to do with the Silver Millenium. Endymions mother thrived on being a grandmother though spent a lot of time with her friend on the moon. Rini was best friends with Minas' twin daughters, litas little boy, and even Reis' daughter though she was a year younger than the others. Ami and Zoisite decided to wait for children and travel to learn from other scholars in other places and were currently pregnant. Serenity could not contain her joy as they walked outside and saw all their friends standing around with their children. Endymion kissed his wife's cheek before walking over to Malachite.
Mina was running around with her daughters and Serenity's mind flashed back to the vision she had had before though the twins were older than in the vision. Her hand rested on her round belly as she looked over at Ami reading a book with Zoisite, Rei was standing with Rini who was skipping rocks on the river or at least attempting to. Lita and Nephrite sitting with their boy and Rei's daughter while Jedite watched Rei and the little girl closely. Nephrite couldn't keep his hand off Lita's small baby bump making her laugh and shew him away.
Serenity startled slightly as the baby in her belly kicked, making her look down at her hand resting there and almost cry as she realized what they had all gone through to become this happy in their life. Looking over at Rei again Serenity sighed knowing she still had a harder time with her emotions about her family than the others. Though she loves her daughter, she and Jedite were not clothes like the other Senshi with their partners.
"Mama! Look what I found!" Rini came running holding up a large white shell Serenity bent down holding her hand out and taking the shell from her daughter.
"Beautiful, we shall add it to the collection." Serenity's smile widened as Rini smiled and clapped with excitement. Minas twins then ran over pulling Rini into a game of tag with them as Mina and Serenity walked over to the blanket where Lita sat, the two children there also running off to play, litas son taking Rei's daughters hand making the girls laugh at the grimace that Jefdite sent their way.
Rei came helping Ami sit down as all the girls sat together watching their children play and their partners spar a few feet away though it was mostly play fights.
They all linked arms leaning into one another.
"I didn't think our lives would turn out this way." Serenity whispered
"We are pregnant again." Rei whispered her face dusting with a blush as she looked at the blanket.
"Really? Oh Rei, that's exciting!" Serenity squealed
"So are we." Mina laughed, causing Serenity to squeal even louder, the men looking over at them Endymion laughing at his wife's excitement.
"All of us pregnant at the same time, how exciting." Serenity yelled hugging her Senshi close before the kids all came jumping on their mothers making them all laugh.
Serenity looked over Rinis pink buns at Endymion who was smiling with pride as he watched them. Her heart swelled as she thought of how they started out, her mind flashing with all the good and bad memories of the past three years, all the hurt and the love that overpowered it as she looked into Endymions blue eyes silently hoping that she was pregnant with a boy with his eyes.
Something she knew for sure was that no matter what the future held, they would all pull through and would be okay. As long as they had each other and always held onto the love.
