Chloe and Beca spent quite a long time trying to decide and, after visiting the school, they'd decided to enroll the kids in a dance company. Since they were sisters, the owner of the school put them in classes that were at the same time so their mothers wouldn't have to run during the week to get them to dance.
During their visit, the couple bought a baby pink leotard, tights and a skirt for Sophie while they were gonna buy Charlotte's leotard later. They were unsure of her size because she'd grown quite a lot over the summer.
So in the afternoon, the women got the girls ready and put them in the car.
"Where are we going, mamma?" Charlotte asked with a confused frown.
"We're going to ballet." Chloe answered.
"Ballet?" Charlotte asked.
"Yeah, dance." Chloe said.
"Dance?" Sophie lit up immediately and grinned widely.
"Yeah." Chloe smiled.
"Yaay! We go dance!" Sophie threw her arms up.
"It's gonna be fun." Chloe said.
This time, both women were going with them because they wanted to be there for their first day. They would explain to the girls that this wouldn't happen everyday.
Beca picked Sophie up along with their bag and Charlotte followed her inside the studio. At first, Charlotte grabbed onto Chloe's leg at seeing a new environment with new faces.
Sophie was a little apprehensive but not as much as Charlotte, she was curious and very excited to dance.
"Come on, Char's class is upstairs." Beca said and the four went upstairs, where there were two studios. In one of them there was a woman sitting on the floor reading from a notebook.
"This is your teacher, Char." Chloe said, coming closer and knocking on the thick glass door. "Hello."
The woman stood up and smiled gently at the family.
"Hello!" she spoke. "I'm Hailey, you must be the Beale-Mitchell family."
"Yes, I'm Chloe, this is my wife Beca, this is Charlotte." Chloe said. "As I understand, she's gonna be your student."
"Oh yeah. Nice to meet you, Charlotte." Hailey said, kneeling down at the little girl's level. "Have you danced before?"
Charlotte shook her head shyly, trying to hide behind Chloe's legs.
"That's okay." Hailey said. "You're gonna have a lot of fun."
Hailey winked and Charlotte felt a little more at ease.
"Wanna come with me to get to know the studio?" Hailey asked.
Charlotte looked up at Chloe uncertain.
"It's okay, Char." Chloe said.
"Babe, why don't you stay with Char? I'm gonna go find Sophie's class." Beca said.
"Yaaay!" Sophie said, throwing her arms up.
"Okay." Chloe smiled.
"Bye Hailey, it was nice meeting you." Beca said. "We'll see you after class is over."
"Bye bye. I go dance too!" Sophie grinned, which made the three women smile at her.
"Yeah? That's great, sweetie!" Hailey smiled and looked back down at Charlotte. "Come on, I'll show you the studio before the other girls get here."
"Okay." Charlotte said quietly.
"Mamma's gonna stay outside, okay?" Chloe said.
Charlotte nodded and grabbed the teacher's hand.
It was a rather big dance studio, it was a three story building with three studios, 1, 2 and 3 and the studio in the third floor, Studio 3, was the little ones' dance room, because it was a lot smaller and the barre was adjusted to their height. There was a little waiting room outside with a couch so the moms could wait.
The teacher was already in the room, also reading notes on a notebook. She looked younger than Hailey but she still looked kind.
"Hello!" she said when she saw Beca and Sophie.
"Hi!" Sophie grinned excitedly, which made the two women laugh.
"Hello." Beca said. "I'm Beca, this is Sophie."
"Hello Sophie!" the teacher said. "I'm Anne, I'm gonna be your teacher."
"Hi." Sophie said again and Anne giggled.
"Do you like to dance?" Anne asked.
"Yes! Yes! I wove dance!" Sophie said.
"That's great!" Anne said. "We still have a little time before class begins, do you wanna get to know the studio?"
"Yes! Yes!" Sophie said, practically jumping off of her mother's arms.
Beca put her down and Sophie immediately grabbed Anne's hand and almost dragged her inside, which made both women laugh again.
After the classes started, Chloe and Beca switched so they could see a little bit of both girls' classes. Charlotte felt more comfortable once the fun part began, while Sophie was excited and giggly from the very beginning. Both girls were very graceful and their musicality was great — of course, just look at their mothers — and they both enjoyed dance. Of course, Sophie enjoyed it a lot more than Charlotte did.
Sophie kept dancing and looking at herself in the mirror even after class was over. She kept jumping to see her skirt move and she kept looking down and pointing and flexing her feet the way the teacher taught her just to admire her ballet shoes.
When the classes ended, Sophie pouted but she ran over to Chloe to hug her and tell her what a great time she had.
"Sophie! Did you like it?" Chloe asked.
"Yes!" Sophie said. "Can do again?"
"Only on Thursday now, baby." Chloe said.
"Awww." Sophie pouted.
Anne finished talking to another mother before going over to Chloe.
"Wow! Your kid is so amazing, she's very polite, kind and she has talent." Anne said.
"Oh yeah?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah, she's very tender and graceful in her moves." Anne said. "And she loves dancing, right Sophie?"
"Yes!" Sophie grinned.
"Thank you, Anne!" Chloe smiled. "Now let's go see how Charlotte did?"
"Otay." Sophie said. "Bye bye."
Anne waved with a smile as Chloe went to the second floor.
Beca was also talking to Hailey about Charlotte's class while the little girl danced in front of the mirror with her newly made friends.
Chloe put Sophie down to talk to Charlotte's teacher and the tiny redhead ran straight to the big girls' studio and started dancing along with her sister and her friends.
"Char? Soph?" Beca called, making the two girls turn to look at her.
"Come on, girls, let's go home." Chloe said.
"No go home." Sophie said.
"You don't wanna go home? You wanna stay here?" Chloe asked, amused.
"Yes!" Sophie grinned.
"Aww we gotta go home, sweetie." Chloe said. Sophie pouted but didn't complain further.
Charlotte and Sophie walked over to their mothers and the two women immediately sat down on the couch in the waiting room there to put their shoes back on.
"Did you like the class, Char?" Beca asked, putting Charlotte's ballet shoes away.
"Yeah." Charlotte said.
"Do you wanna come back?"
"Yes." Charlotte nodded.
"That's great." Beca smiled up at her daughter.
"I already know Sophie liked it, right baby?" Chloe asked.
"Yes! I danced!" Sophie said.
"Yeah, you danced! Do you wanna come back?" Chloe asked.
"Tomowwow?" Sophie asked.
"No, the day after tomorrow." Chloe informed.
Sophie pouted as she allowed Chloe to remove her ballet shoes and grab her white converse.
Beca tied Charlotte's shoes and offered her her jacket, which the little girl denied.
"I'm thirsty." Charlotte said.
"I'm hungwy." Sophie said.
"We're gonna get home and eat something, okay?" Chloe said.
"Okay." Charlotte said.
Beca picked up the bag and grabbed Sophie's hand and they went back downstairs. Sophie's teacher, Anne, was there and she was sitting behind the counter, writing something on her notebook. Sophie saw her and immediately grinned.
"Bye bye!" she waved.
"Bye sweetie!" Anne replied with a smile. "I'll see you on Thursday?"
"Yes!" Sophie said.
Anne smiled and the family went to their car.
The two women were glad the girls enjoyed. Charlotte still seemed a bit insecure but they thought she would get more comfortable as the classes went by.
When they got home, Sophie didn't wanna take off her ballet clothes, she wanted to keep dancing. Charlotte wanted to take a bath so Beca helped her with the tub.
Chloe made sandwiches for everyone before calling Sophie, who was in the living room repeating all the things she'd learned in ballet.
Sophie came into the living room and immediately asked to be put on her high chair, which Chloe did.
"After you eat, we're gonna change out of that leotard, okay Sophie?" Chloe asked.
"No." Sophie pouted.
"Yes." Chloe said. "We're gonna put on some more comfortable clothes."
"But I like!" Sophie said with a pout.
Chloe and Beca were proud of Sophie, her vocabulary was improving! Sure, she had some syntax problems but she had definitely improved over the summer.
"I know you like it, but this is for ballet and you're not in ballet anymore, you're home, so we're gonna put on more comfy clothes." Chloe said. "Do you wanna take a bath and put on your pjs?"
"Otay." Sophie said.
"Okay." Chloe said, putting the plate with her sandwich down in front of her.
"Fank you." Sophie said, grabbing the sandwich carefully with both hands.
"You're welcome, baby." Chloe smiled and sat down next to Sophie to eat her own sandwich.
"Yummy." Sophie said.
"Oh is it yummy?" Chloe asked. Sophie nodded. "Do you like it?"
"Yeah." Sophie said.
Chloe smiled and continued eating her sandwich.
Beca came down and took a seat next to her wife.
"Char's still in the tub." She said, grabbing her sandwich. "Sophie tell me: is this sandwich mamma made worth eating?"
Beca narrowed her eyes jokingly as she looked at the 2-year-old.
"Yes! Vewy yummy." Sophie said, taking a bite of her sandwich.
"Is it? Very very yummy?" Beca asked again and Sophie nodded. "So it won't give me a tummy ache?"
"No." Sophie shook her head. "I pwomise."
"You promise? Oh then it's okay." Beca said and took a bite. She smiled as Sophie watched her carefully, waiting for her reaction. "Oh my God this is delicious!"
Sophie and Chloe grinned.
Beca giggled and the three went back to eating their sandwiches.

The Emmy's would take place on September 23rd and the two women had already gone out with Charlotte to choose a dress. She was very excited to buy her first big girl dress.
Since Charlotte was only 7, she was allowed to take her family with her, so Sophie got a dress too. They agreed to put a little bit of makeup on Charlotte — it being mascara and lip gloss — but they did go to a salon to do her hair. It wasn't anything glamorous that would make Charlotte look like a little adult, they just out her hair up in a half up half down hairdo. Sophie got her hair done too and it was put up in a French braid and she also demanded lip gloss.
Charlotte's dress was dark blue to match her eyes and she was wearing black tights and black sparkling shoes. Sophie's dress was a light pink and she was wearing white tights with pink shoes.
The family was sitting and watching the show and, to the women's surprise, Sophie was quiet and paid attention to everything without making a single sound.
When Charlotte's category — Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy — was up, Emily Osment and Jonathan Sadowski walked up with an envelope to the microphone.
They spoke a little and little clips of the shows were shown then the actresses showed on screen. When Charlotte saw herself, she grinned.
"And the Emmy goes to.." Emily said as Jonathan opened the envelope. "Charlotte Beale-Mitchell!"
Charlotte gasped and turned to her mothers.
"I won?!" She asked.
"Yeah! Go up there!" Chloe said.
"Okay!" Charlotte hopped off of her chair.
Sophie decided to follow her big sister, hopping off of Chloe's lap before the two women could stop her. She then ran after Charlotte as the little brunette walked up to the microphone.
Emily carefully gave her the award and Charlotte had difficulty holding it because of the weight.
Sophie grinned when she saw people laughing and she jumped up and down and waved, making the crowd laugh even louder.
Charlotte saw she couldn't reach the microphone and walked over to Jonathan.
"Excuse me, mister." She said as Sophie walked over to her and grabbed her hand. "I can't reach the microphone."
"Someone's gonna get you a stool." Jonathan said.
Someone from backstage came and placed a tall stool behind the microphone and Charlotte stepped on it while Sophie stood next to her with a grin.
"This is heavy." Charlotte said into the microphone and the audience laughed and aww'd. "Mommy said this trophy means I'm doing a good job." More laughs and aww's. "Mommy and mamma say it's not nice to talk about women's boobs, so I'm sorry I do it on TV." People started clapping along with Sophie. "And mamma said I should thank everyone, so thank you everyone!" People applauded. "And and I wanna thank my mommy and my mamma because they support me."
People heard the faint 'and me!' coming from Sophie as she crossed her arms and made her mad face, which made everyone laugh.
"And Sophie because she's the best little sister ever." Charlotte finished and everyone applauded. She turned to Sophie but the microphone still caught what she said, "Sophie can you help me?"
Sophie nodded eagerly and hugged Charlotte tight when she came down from the stool.
As the two sisters carried the Emmy, they were wildly applauded. People loved Charlotte's speech, it was so honest and pure.
Charlotte had a bunch of pictures taken of her and her award and she was smiling widely.
The family obviously didn't stay long, they were planning on leaving soon but the girls were having a blast.
Charlotte walked up — with Sophie trailing behind her — to a young actress, though not as young as her, who had been running up against her.
"Excuse me lady?" She asked.
"Ecuse-y lady." Sophie repeated.
"Hey!" The girl smiled. "Congratulations on the Emmy, sweetie!"
"Thank you!" Charlotte smiled. "Please don't be upset, miss. Just because I won doesn't mean you're bad. I'm sure you do a great job too and you'll get a prize one day too."
The girl had a smile and she couldn't believe what she was hearing. She was still for a few moments, unsure of what to say so she just hugged Charlotte tight.
"You are so sweet! I wish I could take you home!" She said.
"No go home! No!" Sophie said with her mad face.
"Oh no sweetie, I'm not gonna take your sister home, don't worry!" The girl said.
"Otay." Sophie said.
"Are you okay? Please don't be sad." Charlotte said.
"I'm good, sweetie, don't worry." She smiled.
"Okay. I have to go home but don't be sad." Charlotte said. "Bye bye."
"Bye, congratulations." The woman smiled at the two sisters as they walked back to their mothers hand in hand.
The young actress — and pretty much everyone — was amazed at Charlotte's generosity, she definitely deserved the Emmy.

Despite it not being a recent app, Beca felt pressured to create a Snapchat for herself, especially since she was getting more and more famous. She didn't understand it at first, but she got the hang of it and she loved it when Charlotte and Sophie played with the filters.
Surprisingly, Stacie added Beca when she found out the smaller brunette had Snapchat and Beca would often spend hours watching Stacie's story on Snapchat and laugh. She'd then show it to Chloe and they'd both laugh.
Beca was currently sitting on the couch while Charlotte and Sophie both drew. They had a little competition to see who could draw mommy the most beautiful drawing.
And Beca chuckled when she saw Stacie sent her a snapchat and she braced herself before she opened it.
The video showed Joel sitting on the ground and he grinned at the person behind the camera — obviously Stacie.
"Awww! Where is my baby boy?" she asked in a baby voice and Joel giggled. "Where's my fat little boy?"
Beca smiled as Joel giggled louder and louder as Stacie spoke.
"My beautiful little gas tank!" Stacie spoke and Beca rolled over laughing along with Joel.
"Stacie! You're gonna traumatize the kid!" Aubrey spoke in the background.
Beca laughed louder and the video ended.
"Mommy, why did Aunt Tacie call Joel a gas tank?" Charlotte asked.
"Because he's chubby." Beca said. "Like basically every baby."
"Doesn't that hurt his feelings?" Charlotte asked, worried.
"Well, we both know she didn't mean it in a mean way, but your aunt Aubrey sure was worried." Beca said with a chuckle.
"I don't want you to call me your gas tank, mommy." Charlotte said.
"Don't worry, baby." Beca said with a chuckle. "I won't call you by something you don't want me to."
"Okay." Charlotte said. "So can you not call me 'baby'?"
Beca looked at Charlotte with a frown.
"I don't want to offend you, mommy, I'm just not a baby." Charlotte said.
Beca's eyes filled with tears, not because she was offended, because she couldn't believe her daughter was asking her that. She was growing up, she was letting go of the childish things. Some of them, at least.
"Did I offend you, mommy? I'm sorry!" Charlotte hurried to her mother's side and hugged her tight.
"No, honey, you didn't offend me!" Beca assured her. "I'm just.. you're growing up!"
"Yeah." Charlotte said.
Beca smiled and kissed Charlotte's cheek.
"What about you, Soph? Do you want me to stop calling you baby?" Beca asked.
"No. I'm otay." Sophie said.
Beca and Charlotte giggled.
"Can you tell that to mamma?" Charlotte asked.
"Why don't you tell her? Mamma won't get mad." Beca said.
"Okay." Charlotte said but went back to the coffee table to draw. "I'll talk to her later."
Beca smiled.
"Mommy?" Charlotte asked after a moment of silence.
"Yeah?" Beca asked distractedly.
"Will you be mad if I say I kissed?"
Beca dropped her phone and her eyes widened as she looked at her oldest daughter. She felt as it ten years had gone by.
"What?!" Beca asked.
"I kissed someone." Charlotte said.
"Oh my God, you did?" Beca asked.
"Oh my God!" Sophie repeated her mom's words while she was coloring.
"Yeah." Charlotte said. "Are you mad?"
"No.. no, I'm not mad, I'm just.. I'm surprised!" Beca said. "You're 7!"
Charlotte remained quiet as she put the crayons down.
"It was gross." Charlotte said.
"It was?" Beca asked, starting to relax a little bit.
"Yeah." Charlotte said with a disgusted face. "Beth was asking if adult kisses were disgusting and I think they are, so we kissed and we think kisses are disgusting."
Beca's mouth was wide open. So not only did her daughter kiss, she kissed another girl! Chloe and Beca obviously didn't care about Charlotte's or Sophie's sexuality, but sometimes other parents don't like it when their daughter gets kissed by another girl.
"I'm sorry, mommy, I know kids are not supposed to kiss other kids." Charlotte said. "I promise I will never kiss again, mommy. Kissing is disgusting."
Beca rubbed her temples.
"That's a lot of information to get in 10 minutes." she said to herself.
"Are you mad, mommy?" Charlotte asked, apprehensive.
"No, sweetie, I'm not mad." Beca said.
"I promise, I will never ever kiss again." Charlotte said.
Beca chuckled.
"That's fine." she said.
Beca was still freaking out, but she didn't want Charlotte to know. She calmly excused herself and ran upstairs to find her wife, trying to keep her voice down.
"Chloe! Chloe!" she called and the redhead appeared from inside their closet.
"What?" Chloe frowned at seeing her wife's desperate state.
"Charlotte kissed one of her classmates! Charlotte kissed one of her classmates!" Beca said. "She's 7!"
"Beca, Beca.. breathe. That's it, in and out." Chloe put her hands on Beca's shoulders as the brunette did as she was told. "Now what happened?"
"She said her and Beth were talking about how adult kisses were disgusting so they kissed and they realized it really was disgusting so she promised she'll never kiss again." Beca said. "I can't believe that! Chloe, she's seven!"
"Beca, calm down!" Chloe said. "She's a kid, she didn't mean to cause any harm. When I was 5 I kissed one of my classmates."
"What?" Beca asked.
"Kids do that sometimes." Chloe said. "They don't think anything of it, they're excited because they're doing adult things, that's normal."
"But she's seven! She's not supposed to kiss until she's 18!" Beca said.
"Beca, if Charlotte hears you say that she'll think you actually mean it." Chloe said.
Beca sighed and relaxed.
"Believe me, she doesn't count this as her first kiss." Chloe said.
"But.. But!" Beca sighed again.
"Will you relax?" Chloe chuckled.
"I'm sorry it's just… She's 7!" Beca said and Chloe saw tears in the corner of her eyes.
"I know, but she didn't mean the kiss in a sexual, adult way." Chloe said. "Can you calm down now?"
Beca sighed and nodded.
"Thank you." Chloe said before giggling and kissed her wife's cheek. "Wanna go ask the girls if they wanna make some pasta with us?"
Beca smiled.
"Definitely."
Chloe smiled and Beca grabbed her hand as they headed back downstairs.
We're almost there guys, I'm so excited for you to read next chapter haha
