Chapter 3: Guidance
"Very interesting indeed," said Dr. Corrian while holding her chin.
"What exactly happened doctor," questioned the president.
"Well, from what we have observed the cube might have spontaneously combusted and created this little girl. Shikikan touching the cube most likely with his bare hands probably caused a reaction between the cube and him. As for the little girl, this might be the way to create humanoid ships or a new category of conceiving a new form of life or even both. Shikikan, you said you found one of these cubes on the beach. Did the same thing happen as of what happened here?"
"Uh… well. When I touched the cube that was on the beach, it did react to me, but it didn't glow like that. Instead, it turned from a blue color with a light glowing within it to a red color with a purple with a black hue. After that, it turned my hand numb and the cube remained that color for a while."
"So you still have this cube?"
"Well, I do but the navy took it away from me and gave it to the government and since then I haven't seen it."
They both looked at the president to wait for his response. The president looked at both of them before talking back.
"I do have it, except it is in the cargo helicopter that was carrying the commander's personal belongings. We will go retrieve the cube once we are done here."
"Aren't we technically done here," questioned Shikikan.
They both looked at him as if he had forgotten the most important thing that just happened. Both of them shifted their sights towards the room where the cube had created the little girl.
"Oh right, this. So what? Is she my child now or something?"
"Well, we haven't tested for DNA so we can't confirm that just yet. We will probably do some further studies on these cubes and some shipgirl volunteers. As of now, you should go and take and guide the girly out of the testing room."
The doctor opened up the testing room door for Shikikan. He strolled right into the room with the little girl. She looked up at him and held her arms up at him.
"Up…"
"Aww, how cute."
He obliged her request and hoisted her up in his extended arms. She had a happy facial expression on her face. Her eyes were a red-orange color showing a satisfied expression.
"What's your name again?"
"Eldridge… Are you my commander?"
"Yes, yes I am."
"Commander, hug…"
He pulled her in for a hug while still in his arms. She felt a bit warm and with that, she emitted a bit of electricity. Shikikan walked right out of the testing room to the doctor and president.
"Do you want her here for your research?"
She had a smile on her face before responding
"Well, I can't take her now."
"Why's that?"
"I mean look at her."
He turned towards Eldridge and saw that she was sleeping in his arms.
Like my own child.
"Well, we best be going now and retrieving that cube for you. Good luck on your research, Dr. Corrian."
"Best of luck to you as well, Shikikan. You will be in charge of a large fleet of shipgirls after all. Also, be sure to ask me if you have any questions. I will also be sending you any information that we find about these shipgirls."
"Alright then, Mr. President let us move to the cube's location."
The two of them left the scene to be greeted by the five shipgirls who are going to guide the commander and are waiting patiently for the commander to come out.
"Ara, who is this cute girl," said Atago while approaching the commander.
"Her name is Eldridge. She spawned from a wisdom cube that I touched. I have to go do an errand with the president, so if you all can hold on to her."
"It won't be a problem commander. Just be on your way," said Enterprise as she took Eldridge from Shikikan's arms. She woke up after being transferred to Enterprise.
"Momma?"
"Eh? What did you just call me?"
"Looks like she has taken a liking in you already."
"Hmm~ Enterprise? A mother?" Eugen was grinning at the thought of Enterprise being a mother.
"Ara, did the eagle carrier already has had her way with the commander? Commander? What is the meaning of this," Akagi had an ominous smile with a paper plane between her fingers which had lit ablaze.
"This is a misunderstanding miss uhh… what's your name?"
"Ah, how foolish of me. I am Akagi of the first carrier division, it was destiny for us to meet each other. As for the child and Enterprise."
"Yes. Miss Akagi, this is a misunderstanding, she looks nothing like me or Enterprise. The kid Eldridge spawned from a wisdom cube that I touched. Mr. President, you saw it right?"
He was looking right at the president in order to show confirmation of his statement in order to live another day. The president just smiled and nodded from the look that the commander gave him.
"Anyways, I have to go with the president on that errand for the doctor. Please take care of her."
They both left in a hurry to grab the cube. When they reached the cargo helicopter, it was empty except for a safe and some other wooden boxes. The president called for one of his trusted agents to open up the safe who imputed the code and key card to reveal the same cube that the commander described encased in a glass box. Shikikan snatched the box to take it out of its glass protection to feel that it was cold to the touch, just as he remembered. Both of them strolled back to the lab.
"Doctor, we have it," said Shikikan.
"Ah, good. I'll be taking that. I hope you aren't too worried about the cube being taken Mr. President," said the doctor.
"No, it won't be a problem. There isn't much for the government to do with a red ice cube," the president jokes.
"As for you young lad, you have some ladies waiting for you to guide you around this organization.
"Alright, I'll be going then."
"Shikikan, once you are done with the tour around be sure to go to your new home. Someone will give your key there when you arrive," called the president.
"Alright, Mr. President. Glad you had me as the one to guide this organization."
"It did take some time to find a candidate, but you were the perfect one eligible for this job due to your experience, tactics, and special skill that you possess. It's been a pleasure to meet you, Shikikan. You aren't like anything your biography says about you."
"I'll take that as a compliment Mr. President. Have a good rest of your day."
The commander exited the lab to find the five guides waiting for him.
"Okay, who exactly is going to guide me first?" he questioned the five.
"It would be most logical to go with me as the Royal Navy residence is nearest here," said Belfast.
"Okay, I'll go with…"
"My name is Belfast, Master Shikikan." She curtsied after her formal introduction.
"Okay, Belfast led the way then. As for the rest of you, I'll be joining you for the rest of the tour at the same place. Please don't fight each other like earlier."
"Yes sir," they all said.
Both Belfast and Shikikan left the area and started moving towards the Royal Navy residence. He never realized it, but all of the residents were separated through different areas around the island. Some of the areas branch out to other much smaller islands around the main island. The Royal Navy area was rather clean and tidier than the places that he has been to.
"Over here are the Royal Navy dorms where all of the HMS ships are roomed."
Apparently, the dorms that roomed the ship girls is just a large curved building surrounding a few buildings and a rather interesting fountain that has a statue of an enormous gilded anchor. The dorms were rather nice outside as the building was a curved chiseled stone with a brick exterior shape with a plethora of various flowers along with bushes that are nicely trimmed. Inside the commander spotted some other maids mopping the floors of the entrance.
"Question for you Belfast, how many maids and shipgirls are in the Royal Navy?"
"There are around seven maids currently, we are always looking for new recruits that can help around the residences. As for the other part of your question, there are around fifteen other shipgirls that live in the Royal Navy residence."
"Okay, thank you, Belfast."
"Anything for you Master. I also have a question for the Master."
"Okay, shoot."
"Why did you join the navy, Master?"
"Long story short, I have been wanting to join the navy for quite some time due to my family having a line of joining the military. My uncle refused to let me go live the life out on the sea until I was the appropriate age of seventeen. And until then, I trained until I was seventeen."
"Thank you for your input, Master."
They kept walking around the residential area. The smell of the salt in the air kept him at ease during the walk around alone with Belfast. All of the women here were beauties to behold. But that wasn't going to let his mind get at ease at the fact that they are able to summon guns out of nowhere. Either way the scenery put him at ease as if he was walking about with a gorgeous woman at his side.
"Over there is the canteen." She pointed to a white building that was rather close to and here is where the Royal Navy usually has their tea parties. Further down there is a small plaza run by a few other factions."
"Okay, I'll keep that in mind when I need to grab a bite or anything else."
"I believe that your health will be in shambles if you rely on the plaza for food instead of the canteen."
"Why is that?"
"Most of the shops are just sweets or fast food in the plaza. The canteen is where all of the ships get their food. And if you are wondering, we eat the same food that you humans eat."
"I guess that's good to know. Not that I didn't see you as humans."
"We aren't humans. We are weapons of war, we were designed to fight till the day that we don't see combat anymore."
"Well, the same can be said about us humans. We, humans, are in constant disagreement with each other and just kill each other as if we were wild animals. I guess you can say that we humans are worse than anything this world has ever had to deal with."
Belfast glared at him after what he had said to her.
"So you think humans are low-lifeforms of this world?"
"Not necessarily. They have some redeeming qualities about them, with their sympathy and empathy for other living beings."
"Well, that is the end of the tour for the Royal Navy residence. Do you have any questions for me, Master Shikikan?"
"No… Actually yes for you specifically. Umm… I don't want to seem rude but, what is with the collar and chain around your neck?"
"Hmm? Oh, this."
She touched the collar that she was wearing the entire time.
"It just so happens that it came with me when I have spawned into this beautiful world."
"I see…"
"Well, then Master. I will be seeing you tomorrow on your first day in the office. I will be at your side if you ever need help."
"Thank you, Belfast."
"Excuse me Master, but I have to go help ready for the banquet. I will be the one chaperoning the party, so I hope I get to see you there. It has been an honor to guide you around."
She curtsied and walked gracefully towards the canteen to help finish making the cuisines for the banquet. Shikikan headed towards the lab where the rest of the tour guides will be.
"Hmm? So you are our new commander? I was honestly expecting a bit more than this," Eugen teased.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Ufufu. Looks like you can keep me amused for a while. I'll look forward to it."
"I'm still confused about what you mean."
"Don't worry about it~ I am Prinz Eugen. I will be your tour guide for the Iron Blood residence. Before we start I have a question for you. What is your experience with women?"
"I don't want to talk about that."
His face a deep crimson red, his face conveyed a nervous expression. He looked away to avoid eye contact from the heavy cruiser.
"Hmm? What is it? Too chicken to tell me?"
"It's private."
"Well, you can trust me to hold your secrets."
In his mind, he doubts she will remotely keep it a secret. If she keeps on nagging, he will get fed up with her insistence on making him let the cat out of the bag. Shikikan patted his face in order to grant himself some courage. He set his sights on the heavy cruiser who was smiling at the sight of his embarrassed expression.
"I once did, but the relationship went to shambles in a matter of months."
"And what caused this relationship to fall?"
"Eh… we didn't talk much. When I wanted to join the navy we broke up. Never did anything memorable during the months of dating."
"Did you regret not doing anything to make it up to her?"
"No, it was better for her to not be with me. I'm not necessarily the best person to be going out with."
"Hmm? And now what? You came here to redeem yourself from this?"
"No Eugen. I came here to test what you guys are capable of."
"Okayyy, whatever you say."
She let out a giggle and looked forward towards a building that looked and smelled like a pub. The exterior of the building had a large glass window showing a display of three barrels stacked on top of each other with the bottom having a tap.
"This is the Iron Blood's pub. If you ever need a drink or a drinking buddy you can always call on me."
"I am not of the age yet."
"Ufufu. So innocent and nervous, almost like toying with a child. You are really young to be a commander, twenty right?"
"Yes."
"Well, it won't hurt to drink a little. How about when it's time for the party, why don't you drink with me?"
"I'm… not sure. I uhh…"
She gave a playful smile at him stuttering with an embarrassing facial expression. She put her finger on her lip.
"Well, it is a celebration of your accomplishment. It takes some real work to be recognized for your age in the navy. Why not have some fun while you're at it?"
She put a hand on his shoulder. He scratched the back of his neck, his mind trying to process his morals of either getting drunk with a ship or staying sober for the sake of not being of age. He sighed before letting out his final statement.
"Well, I'll only drink a little. Don't expect me to down one after another."
"Ufufu, I guess you really can be a man sometimes. And all it takes for a woman like myself to push to you to take risks."
"Wait, no you're wrong. I…"
He put his hands over his eyes and closed them. He fell into her trap without even realizing it. At least he knows that seduction can be his greatest downfall. Well, there is no point in backing out now.
"I guess I'll be downing the drinks after this."
"Hmmm? You really need to toughen up around a woman." She whispered in his ear, "If you don't, they just might take control."
His face reddens immediately after she recited those words. She distanced herself away from him and continued moving towards the next place to introduce the commander.
"Eugen," cried out a voice.
She turned around and greeted the voice behind her.
"Ah, Nimi. Are you here to greet the commander?"
"More like looking for Bismarck. Jeez, I just want to know why she chose you instead of me for the guide. Have you seen her lately, Eugen?"
"Nein, Nimi. She might be with Tirptiz maybe?"
The girl looked up at the commander. His initial reaction to her glare was to smile but now he wasn't sure whether to feel intimidated or to pat her on the head.
"So your name is Nimi? Strange name but cute."
Her face became flushed at the sound of the commander's compliment.
"Your name is also strange, Komandant. But my actual name is Z23, my friends nickname me Nimi."
"Well it's been a pleasure meeting you, Nimi or should I call you Z23 first?"
"You can address me however you want, Komandant. Now excuse me but I have to find Bismarck."
"Good luck Nimi."
"Commander, can you explain to me how you were able to rise up in the ranks so fast?"
"Enterprise, we just started the tour of the Eagle Union residence and you are already asking questions."
"Sorry, it's just your profile has little to no information about you. And I just want to get a better understanding of what exactly you are."
She lowered her cap hiding her face from the commander.
"Don't stress about it. Many have questions about who I am. I am more than welcome to answer them."
She took a glance at the commander. He had a smile on his face looking at the ashamed eagle carrier. Enterprise quickly became herself again after seeing that he didn't mind her immediate interrogation.
"Then can you answer my question?"
"Of course. I gained the ranks due to the knowledge that I studied while training in the navy. I showed vast amounts of leadership and helped many who were in trouble out at sea. And before I knew it, I was the youngest commander to ever be in the ranks."
"I see. Yet you are not only good at commanding, but also taking down enemy air units when you man the AA guns. How did you develop such skills?"
"Well, I guess I could say that I am a natural when it comes to shooting things down that threaten my friends… friends..."
He stopped walked and looked down at the ground and raised his hands to look at them as if he was holding on to a foreign object that he had never seen.
"Commander?"
He broke out of his thoughts and turned his sights back to the carrier.
"Yes, Enterprise?
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm oka-"
Right when he was about to finish his sentence all of a sudden something heavy fell on his back. The thing caused him to hit the ground with great force causing him to hit the ground face first. The commander groaned with pain swelling on his back and his front with something warm and laying on his back.
"Laffey!"
Laffey?
"This branch feels warm. Zzz…" said Laffey.
Enterprise removed Laffey from the commander so that he could rise up from the ground that he was hugging. When he rose up he was going to scorn the Laffey person that had fallen on his back. After seeing the small white-haired girl with bunny ears he stopped himself. She reminded him of the girl that he summoned in the lab, Eldridge.
"She reminds me of Eldridge. What did you do with her?"
Enterprise was trying to get Laffey to wake up but she just clung to Enterprise's arm.
"Oh, I left her with my older sister Yorktown. She is good with handling the destroyers of the organization."
Shikikan walked up to Laffey who was now looking at the commander after he had covered the sunlight's glare for her.
"Oh... commander," she said sleepily.
"What were you doing up on the tree? You could have gotten hurt if I wasn't there to cushion your fall."
"It is Laffey's favorite sleeping place."
"Jeez, that can be a serious problem if you fall again. Enterprise, how about we take Laffey to the dorms."
"I think that that is a good idea."
Shikikan piggybacked Laffey on his back and started heading for the Union dorm area. While they were heading towards the dorms they bumped into two other ship girls.
"Ah, Enterprise and Shikikan. Thank you for bringing in Laffey," said a purple-haired girl who was wearing a white top with straps and a striped mini skirt. Next to her was a light blond-haired girl with metal red and white horns sticking out of her head. She was wearing a white and blue sailors uniform and a blue and white striped mini skirt.
"Don't mention it Javelin. Hello Ayanami."
Ayanami made a surprised face when Enterprise called her name. She then returned back to her normal state and set her sights on the commander.
"Ah, you are Ayanami's commander, yes?"
"That's right, Ayanami yes?"
She shook her head in response to his statement.
"Where is Nimi? Isn't she usually with you four," questioned Enterprise.
"Yes, but she had to find Bismarck because she wanted answers from her about guiding the commander."
"Oh so she is a friend of all three of you," asked Shikikan.
Javelin nodded to Shikikan's question.
"Speaking of which. Laffey, you can't just sleep on the commander all day! He still has to be guided around Enterprise."
"Laffey feels comfortable here. He is warm…Zzz."
She dozed off to sleep again on Shikikan's back. He gently put her down on a bench that was nearby.
"I still have to know more about this island so can you do me a favor and take care of your friend Laffey here?"
"Yes, yes we can."
"Good. Are all of the kids like that here? If so that would make my job a lot easier."
Javelin's seemed to shine when she heard him praising her for her good behavior. But maybe that was just his imagination. He patted her on the head and left the three of them to continue with whatever they were doing.
"Over there is the infirmary where ships like Vesta will patch you up. Over here are the sports grounds where most of the Union's ships play basketball and tennis around here."
"Who is playing ball over there?"
"Oh, it looks like, from here uhhh…"
She squinted her eyes trying to get a better look at the figures that are moving around, dribbling, or trying to defend against the people who are trying to score.
"Looks like Cleveland and three of her sisters from what I can see looks like Baltimore and Minneapolis."
"A four versus two? Impressive match-up. I want to see this match up close."
"Commander, you still have a tour to finish. You can see this match up another day."
"Awww, come on."
"Come on commander."
"Hey wait a minute!"
She pulled his arm with such great force that it felt like his arm was going to be removed from its socket. Shipgirls were a lot stronger than they looked, not only did they have massive guns but they also had strength that can't be matched by a regular bodybuilder. She kept pulling him until the tour was over.
"Ara, is it finally our turn to have the commander?"
"I don't think there is a turn with being with the commander."
Already the two of them were fighting over being at the commander's side for guiding. Seeing that the commander had seen enough drama for the day he decided to break them up in the most appropriate way possible.
"Ahem, can the both of you get along. I am not a toy for you two to fight for. As your commander, I am asking for both of you to settle your differences or I am not going to continue on with this tour."
Both of them bowed their heads and apologized for their behavior. Both of them moved to his sides with Akagi on the left and Atago on the right of him.
"Where shall we go first? There are so many places to go to that I want to show you like the hot springs and the main Sakura Empire sakura tree," Atago said with high energy.
"I think I would like to go to the essential places first."
"Well, the only essential place that is around here really is Akashi and Shiranui's shop," said Akagi.
"Well, I guess we should go there first."
The three of them took their time strolling toward Akashi's shop. While they were going there, a storm of cherry blossom petals fell as they were walking through the street of shops.
"Hmmm. Love the atmosphere here."
They finally reached Akashi's shop which was an open shop with many things on display such as boat models, books, and daily necessities. Shikikan entered the store to investigate the stocks that the store had until he saw a pair of green cat ears behind the cash register.
"Hello? Are you the store owner here?"
The pair of ears then perked upwards with such speed and soon a face appeared before him.
"Welcome, nya! Oh? Looks like there is a new customer in town, nya."
"Huh… a real cat girl."
"My name is Akashi and welcome to my humble store, nya."
"So are you the greedy, green cat that the president told me about?"
"Nyaa? The old man called me that? How mean to Akashi."
Her ears dropped and her expression changed to a depressed one.
"Well, apparently this is the place where I spend my fortune. I still don't understand what makes this store so special compared to the other ones."
"Nya. How mean. This is the place where you can buy things to make your fleet stronger."
That got the commander's attention.
"Tell me more about this making the fleet stronger."
"Well, you can buy some clothing that can help make your shipgirls stronger and-"
Akashi got a wrapped newspaper to the head by another girl that seemed to appear out of nowhere while he was absorbed in the fact of making his fleet stronger.
"Sorry about her behavior. She seems to always try to exploit her new customers for more profits. I apologize once again, my name is Shiranui," said the girl with a very monotone voice. She bowed and made Akashi bow with her.
"Well, I'm still open to how I am able to make the fleet stronger if that is still an option."
"Yes, here you can buy these boxes called tech packs. They can vary from pink, blue, purple, gold, and red. They all give you random equipment that can benefit your fleet. Some other things that might interest you are the tactic books that can increase their skills on the ocean."
"Okay, so I can give you my gems in exchange for these boxes and books, got it."
"You don't have to spend your gems just on things that can help make your fleet stronger, nyaa. You can buy clothing for your favori-"
Akashi got whacked in the head by Shiranui with the newspaper again.
"Don't get any ideas Akashi."
"If I think it's the most appropriate, I guess I can reward those who work the hardest with a reward to boost their morale, but I don't think it is efficient to be spending gems on unnecessary attires."
"What is this about buying new clothing?" Atago was behind him listening to the conversation.
"It's nothing Atago. We were just talking about clothing for you guys and how…"
"Ara, you are already going to buy a gift for onee-san. I'm so happy right now."
"Wait… that is-"
She hugged Shikikan's arm with her head rested on his shoulder. Her face was just an inch off from his own.
"Shikikan-sama~ What's this about buying new clothing for her?"
Her voice wasn't her usual tone that she talks normally with. It had an ominous tone along with it that felt like a dark aura emitting from her voice. Looks like he will have to spend his gems on gear for another time if he wants to live.
"Looks like there is no backing up now. Is this what Eugen means by they will take control if I don't toughen up?" He thought to himself.
"Thank you for your patronage, nya!"
He spent over half of his gems on clothing for the two of them. Now he was carrying their bags throughout the entire tour of the Sakura Empire residence.
Give me a break.
When the tour was over, the two of them guided Shikikan over to his new home which was a small house off the coastline. Shikikan sent the two of the girls off despite their persistence to stay and spend time with him some more. When he got to the entrance of the house, Captain Winters was on his phone waiting for him on the front porch. Winters broke away from focus from his phone over to Shikikan.
"Good, it's about time that you showed up. How was the tour of the island?"
"Winters? Really? Out of all the people who greet me outside of my new home?"
"Don't sound surprised. I didn't want to be here in the first place until they offered me a bonus if I did."
"Why did they assign, you of all the people I have worked with? They could have sent that raisin general for all I cared."
"Beats me. My only guess is that they wanted a final reunion between captain and commander I guess."
He started to head towards Shikikan to hand him his keys to the house. The porch creaked under his heavy boots as he approached him. Winters pulled the keys out of his front pocket to hand it over to the commander.
"Welp, hope you had a good time today. Cause I didn't."
Winters walked past him just like how he did when he talked to the general. When Shikikan got inside his new home, all of the boxes were stacked up next to the doorway. So when he was about to walk inside, all of the boxes collapsed on him.
"Dammit, dammit all!"
While he was cleaning up the mess that he had created, even though the soldiers were the ones who put them in the worst place possible, he looked at the time to see that it was 5:43. He decided to take a quick hot shower before showing up to the banquet slash welcoming party that the organization made for him. By the time he was done, he picked out the best attire that he had available which was a black one-piece suit that his uncle gave him as a gift when he left for the navy. When he got to the building the banquet was being held at, there was the welcoming sign that the maids have put up outside. Not only that, there was the smell of charcoal burning with the smell of hamburger patties simmering over the large flames. Inside was rather nice with tables full of food and desserts that looked and smelled great.
"Hey, commanderrr…"
How looked for the person who was calling his name to his surprise was Eugen who looked absolutely hammered. She was barely able to walk straight and her face was red from drinking too much. She hung her arm around Shikikan, her breath reeked of alcohol.
"Eugen, you need to stop drinking already. You're drunk."
"Drunk…? I'm not *hic* drunk. If I was, what would you do with me, commander?" She gave out a soft giggle and offered him a glass which probably filled with hard liquor that she has been drinking. He scanned the room for the nearest unoccupied seat in order for him to drop the drunk Eugen on.
"Master, may I be of assistance?"
"Bel? Oh good, can you help me take her off my shoulders and sober her up a bit?"
"Of course."
Belfast took Eugen off of his shoulders and put her in the nearest unoccupied chair available.
"Shikikan-sama~"
"Oh no."
He turned around and saw Akagi and another fox woman but this time had white hair and the same nine tails but also white.
"Greetings Akagi. And this is…"
"Kaga and Akagi's half-sister of the first carrier division."
"I see… You two are sisters for the most part. You two having a good time right now?"
"We are now, now that you are here."
Akagi put her hand underneath his chin and raised his head. She had a malicious smile on her face when Shikikan looked into her intoxicating, fiery-red eyes. During the moment Akagi pounced on Shikikan without any warning.
"Shikikan-sama, would you like to partake with me. Don't mind the people around us. It will just be just you and me."
"A-Akagi this is too sudden! Please restrain yourself! Kaga! Do something!"
"Sorry Shikikan, when my sister sets her sights on her target, there is no way to stop her."
"Shikikan-sama~"
He attempted to break free from Akagi's grasp at that very moment he found that he was overwhelmed by her power. Her strength combined with her weight was too much for him to push off. He was undoubtedly going to be Akagi's prey for the night. He was screwed at that very moment until a fist landed on Akagi's head.
"Amagi nee-sama? Why did you do that?"
Shikikan quickly looked behind Akagi to see his savior from the very aggressive kitsune to see yet another kitsune that looked like Akagi, but much more mature-looking. She was wearing a black and red dress and her eyes were light purple, pink.
"Sorry, Shikikan-sama. Akagi tends to be a bit too obsessive when she sets her sights on someone that she deems worth," said Amagi with a blessed-looking smile.
"Thank you for keeping your eyes on her. Who knows what would have happened next if you didn't show up to stop her."
"Amagi don't get into our affairs-"
She got another fist to her head by her sister once again.
"Sorry once again, Shikikan-sama. I'll be sure to discipline her until she knows how to control herself."
"Thank you, Miss Amagi. I'm in your debt."
"No need to thank me. It is my responsibility as her older sister to have her behave in the right way. Come on, Akagi, Kaga. We are going back home for tonight."
"But, nee-sama."
Amagi dragged Akagi away from the commander with Kaga following her right behind them.
"Jeez, this first day can't get any wilder."
Shikikan spent the rest of his night drinking a bit and talking to the other shipgirls that were around. Most of them were just like the people that he talked to back at camp where they talked about his success as a commander. The night was long and he enjoyed it to the fullest until he fell unconscious.
