I don't know if you guys know but I'm in NYC now (and I'll stay here for the winter) and I'm working here so work keeps me busy everyday so I haven't had much time to write so sorry for the delay!

And NO I haven't given up on this story ;)

To the person that said everytime someone in the story says "lil So So" it reminds you of Young & Hungry: that was my inspiration because I love Sofia!

Chloe had always known she married a big dork. Beca spoiled the kids and acted like a kid most of the time, which was why the kids loved her so much.

So when Chloe had to go to the store real quick in that afternoon, because Aubrey and Stacie were coming over for dinner, she was a little worried. Not because Beca was a bad parent or anything like that, but because she was a little sloppier in the summer time.

When Chloe came back, she walked inside to the kitchen to put two bags away before she went to the living room, where she knew her daughters and wife were.

Sure enough, the four were sitting on the white leather couch, eating ice cream. At 5 in the afternoon.

"Beca!" Chloe stomped her foot but couldn't help but laugh.

"What?" Beca asked, mouth full of ice cream and face covered with it.

"You gave them ice cream before dinner?! Aubrey and Stacie are coming over!" Chloe said. "And my leather couch is all covered in chocolate ice cream!"

Beca's look didn't change from that of a deer caught in headlights.

"They caught me in the act, I had to give it to them." Beca said in her defense.

Chloe laughed.

"Babe, your face is pure ice cream." Chloe said mid laugh.

"It is?" Beca frowned and grabbed her phone to check her reflection.

"Yeah mom, even my face isn't that dirty." Charlotte said with a chuckle.

"Beca, girls, go wash yourselves, mamma needs help carrying the groceries." Chloe said.

"Mamma, I'm thirty." Leslie said.

"No, honey, you're 4 almost 5." Beca said.

"No, mommy, I want water, please." Leslie said.

"You'll get water honey, once you help mamma." Chloe said with a smile.

The girls groaned as they went to the bathroom to clean their hands and faces.

Chloe made the four clean the couch after they got the groceries and only then she gave them drinks. Sure, it sounded tough but it only took them 5 minutes to carry the groceries inside and 5 more minutes to clean the couch.

Charlotte started groaning after a while and she went to the couch, curling up like a ball and holding her stomach.

Chloe stayed in the kitchen with the younger ones while Beca went to the living room to check on Charlotte.

"Char, are you okay?" Beca asked.

"My stomach hurts." Charlotte said with a pout.

"Awww, does it hurt a lot? Do you want a pill for it?" Beca asked, sitting down next to her.

"No, I just need you to hold me, mommy." Charlotte said with a small voice.

Beca smiled and allowed Charlotte to crawl into her arms and she held her close. Char rarely called her or Chloe mommy or mamma, only when she was trying to get her ways or when she was in pain, which was the case.

"Honey, if it hurts that bad, I should give you something." Beca said.

"No." Charlotte said. "No pills, please."

"Char, you can't be in pain." Beca said. "Show me where it hurts."

Charlotte pulled apart and put her hand over her belly, not exactly in her stomach but not so far down where her uterus might be, so Beca knew it wouldn't me menstrual cramps.

"It might be something you ate. I'll give you some Advil." Beca said.

Charlotte groaned again and Beca grabbed her face in her hands.

"It's okay, honey, it's Advil, it's easy to swallow, it's soft." Beca said as if she was speaking to a child.

"Okay." Charlotte said in a small voice.

"It might be just gas." Beca shrugged and laughed before kissing Charlotte's forehead. "I'll be right back."

Charlotte nodded but still lied down in a fetal position.

Beca gave her the medication and sat back down, or lied back down so she could cuddle with her daughter, who hummed as Beca massaged her stomach.

"Thanks, mommy." Charlotte said quietly.

Beca smiled.

"You're welcome, baby." She said.

Leslie and Sophie ran in and stood in front of them with a sheepish smile.

"We want cuddles too, mommy." Sophie said and placed her hands on her hips.

"Yeah." Leslie said.

Beca giggled.

"Char's tummy hurts, Soph." Beca said.

"Don't worry, Char. It's probably just a silly tumor. Dr. Olivia can take it out for you." Sophie said.

"Gee, thanks Sophie." Charlotte said sarcastically.

"You're welcome, Char." Sophie grinned.

Beca chuckled.

"Char doesn't have a silly tumor, baby, it's just a tummy ache." Beca explained.

"Okay. Char, little Leslie and I can sing you a song so your tummy stops hurting." Sophie said.

"Okay." Charlotte said.

Sophie and Leslie started singing a made up song about getting better, which made Char and Beca chuckle lovingly.

Charlotte got better just in time for dinner, which made Beca feel better. Sophie and Leslie said it was their song and Beca loved that Char didn't say anything, she agreed with them.

Sophie had a collection of life sized baby dolls she loved playing with. She got them from her grandparents, aunts and mothers and most times she'd let Leslie play with her.

Now, though, Sophie was getting in the phase of changing the dolls, so she wanted clothes.

And that's how Beca and Chloe found themselves browsing through Target one summer afternoon, all girls with her, standing in the baby clothes section while Leslie and Sophie looked and picked out clothes for their dolls. As awkward as it was, they didn't want to tell the girls no, after all, the clothes were super cute and their idea was brilliant.

"Sophie, Leslie, don't you think that's enough?" Chloe asked.

"Our cart is half full of baby stuff and we still need to get the groceries." Beca reminded them.

"Okay." Sophie said. "Mommy, we need diapers!"

Beca slapped her own forehead.

"Honey, I'm sorry but I'm not gonna buy diapers for your dolls, that's a waste of diapers." Chloe said.

Sophie pouted.

"See what happens honey is there are a lot of babies who need diapers. Babies who don't have a mother or whose mother can't afford diapers." Beca said.

"That's too bad." Sophie said. "I wanna cry, mommy."

Sophie's eyes filled with tears and Beca immediately hugged her. The little redhead had always been emotive.

"That's okay, baby." Beca chuckled.

"Mommy can we give the clothes to those babies?" Leslie asked.

"That's a great idea, Leslie." Chloe smiled.

"How about that Sophie? We can take a few outfits for your dolls but we donate clothes and diapers to babies who need them." Beca asked.

"Okay." Sophie nodded.

Beca and Chloe shared a smile. They were so proud of their girls.

"Sophie, Leslie, that's really nice!" Charlotte said.

"Thanks Char!" Sophie and Leslie grinned.

"I'm gonna go grab another cart." Chloe said.

oO0Oo

Charlotte knocked on Sophie's room door and walked inside. Her younger sisters were dressing the dolls and playing and giggling.

"Hey Char!" Leslie said with a grin.

"I miss you girls." Charlotte sat on the floor next to her sisters with a slight pout.

"But we live in the same house." Sophie said.

"I know but… sometimes I get jealous because you guys just play with each other." Charlotte said.

"But that's because you're a big girl. Mommy says you don't like playing as much anymore." Sophie said.

"I do! Sometimes I can be cranky but you can ask me to play. If I'm not in the mood, I'll just tell you." Charlotte said.

"Do you wanna play?" Leslie asked. "This is Caroline, my baby."

Leslie placed the doll on Charlotte's lap.

"Wait, I have my baby!" Charlotte gave the doll back to Leslie and went to her room.

Sophie and Leslie had also got mini Bella dolls from the Bellas. Sophie obviously named hers Sophie and Leslie named hers Mini Leslie.

Charlotte came back with her doll and a grin and sat down. Sophie grabbed hers and Leslie went to get hers too.

"Yaay!" Sophie said.

"Char is playing with us!" Leslie said to Sophie and Charlotte smiled. "Char, what's like being a big girl?" Leslie asked.

"I don't know, just like being a little girl except you have more responsibilities." Charlotte said.

"Oh!" Leslie was intrigued.

"And more homework. Which is not coloring." Charlotte said.

"That sounds boring." Leslie said, making her big sister giggle.

"Not really. It's not that boring. Yet." Charlotte said.

"Char? What's it like having hair down there?" Sophie asked in a giggly whisper. Her and Leslie started giggling.

Charlotte blushed.

"How do you know I have hair?" Charlotte asked.

"Mamma said big girls have it." Sophie said.

"Oh." Charlotte said. "It feels weird. Sometimes it itches. And I feel like people can tell."

"I can't tell." Leslie shook her head emphatically.

Charlotte giggled again.

"Remember we used to love boobs?" Sophie asked and laughed.

"Oh yeah." Charlotte giggled too. "I just love that mine are growing."

"That's cool." Sophie said. "I only loved boobs because you did, Char. Because I wanted to be like you."

"Awww! That's so sweet Soph!" Charlotte said.

"I wanna be a big girl." Leslie said with a pout.

"Don't worry, baby Leslie, you'll grow up and be a big girl too." Charlotte assured her.

"I wanted to have a younger sister." Leslie pouted again.

"I'm the only one with a baby sister and a big sister." Sophie grinned.

"Well you guys are lucky you have an older sister to teach you stuff. I don't have one." Charlotte said.

Leslie gasped and crossed her arms.

"That's too bad, Char." She said, shaking her head.

Charlotte chuckled.

"Char, what was it like when you were in mommy's tummy? And mamma could feel you kicking?" Sophie asked.

"Well Sophie, mamma didn't get to feel me kicking." Charlotte said.

"Why?" Sophie and Leslie asked, surprised.

"Because it was a man who got mom pregnant with me." Charlotte said.

"Really?!" Sophie asked.

"Does that mean you have a daddy?" Leslie asked.

Sophie crossed her arms and frowned.

"No she doesn't. I won't share her with anyone but our family." Sophie said and hugged her older sister tight.

"Me too!" Leslie said and joined Sophie in the hug.

"And if this man tries to steal you from us, we're gonna kick him in the butt!" Sophie told Charlotte who grinned while trying to hold her tears. She was emotional at hearing that from her younger sisters.

"I love you girls." Charlotte said and hugged them tight.

"We love you too." Leslie said.

"Mom and Ma weren't dating when I was born. They only got together because of me. And Aunt Tacie and Aunt Aubee too." Charlotte said.

"You brought mommy and mamma together?" Sophie asked, surprised. Charlotte nodded. "Wow Char, you're the shit!"

Charlotte gasped and laughed.

"Don't say that, So!" Charlotte said.

"But I heard mommy say it." Sophie shrugged.

"Well mommy has a bad mouth, don't repeat what she says." Charlotte said.

"So if it wasn't for you, our moms wouldn't be together?" Leslie asked.

"I guess." Charlotte shrugged.

"Wow! You're great! You should tell that man that." Leslie said

"What man?" Charlotte frowned in confusion.

"Your daddy. So he'll know you're ours and we'll never ever ever ever let him near you." Leslie said.

Charlotte smiled again and was caught off guard when her sisters tackled her to the floor in a bear hug and the three laughed.

"Char, we wanna see your big girl homework." Leslie said.

"I think I have some Science homework from this year." Charlotte said and went back to her room.

Charlotte sat down on the little round table there was in Sophie's room with two chairs so the two younger ones could do their homework.

"Here." Charlotte opened her Science book. "We learn about the human body, what's a cell, a tissue, an organ."

"Wow cool!" Leslie said.

"A bunch of cells together form a tissue, a bunch of tissues together form an organ and a bunch of organs together form an organism." Charlotte said.

"What's an organism?" Leslie asked with a frown as her and Sophie sat on Charlotte's legs.

"It's a living thing." Charlotte said.

"You mean a person?" Leslie asked.

"No, I mean any living thing. An insect, a dog, a plant!" Charlotte said.

"Plants have organs?!" Sophie asked and Leslie and her paid attention for the answer.

"I don't know." Charlotte chuckled.

"Yes they do. That's why they cry when we pull their flowers and leaves." Leslie said.

"Plants don't cry, baby Leslie, they don't have feelings like us." Charlotte said. "But plants need leaves to get sun and other nutrients they need. It would be like someone ripping your mouth off and you can't eat anymore."

"Awwww!" Leslie pouted.

Charlotte turned the page a few more times until it showed a baby in the womb.

"And this is what the baby looks like inside the tummy." Charlotte said.

"That seems too small, how does the baby fit?" Leslie asked.

"The baby fits." Charlotte said. "More than one baby can fit there actually."

"Wow!" Leslie said.

Charlotte chuckled and hugged her sisters.

"Girls?" Chloe called coming up the steps.

"We're here!" Sophie said before turning her attention back to the book. "Turn the page, Char!"

Charlotte chuckled.

Chloe came in the room and grinned widely at the sight of her three girls together.

"Hey girls! What are you all doing?" Chloe asked.

"Char is showing us her big girl homework!" Leslie said. "Mamma, did you know plants are orgasms?"

"Organisms, Leslie." Chloe corrected. "That's really nice girls, I'm so happy to see you all playing nicely."

The girls grinned proudly at her.

They all heard the front door closing and Beca hurrying up the stairs, which meant she was excited about something.

"Where are my girls?! I have news!" Beca said.

"Sophie's room!" Chloe said.

Beca came in and her hand went straight to her heart, smiling lovingly at the sight of her two younger daughters sitting on her oldest daughter's lap and going through her Science book.

"What's the news, mommy?" Sophie asked.

"I'm gonna be on Ellen!" Beca announced happily.

"Oh yay! This is so exciting!" Chloe said and hugged her wife.

"And! She said after me, the girls are gonna go too! She wants our babies on her show!" Beca said.

"I know Ellen! She's a nice lady. I didn't know she had a show." Sophie said, confused.

"It's not flower store Ellen, So." Charlotte chuckled. "But this Ellen is very nice too."

"Oh. Okay." Sophie accepted the answer.

Beca and Chloe chuckled and the brunette wrapped her arms around her wife's waist as they watched their daughters ask Charlotte questions about "big girl" Science.

"So when are you all going to be on Ellen?" Chloe asked.

"This Wednesday, you're coming too and you're gonna be in the audience." Beca smiled.

"Oh yay!" Chloe smiled wide. "Oh, Beca, we have that appointment with Leslie's psychiatrist on Tuesday."

"Yeah? Dude she's not even 5 yet, why does she need to go to a shrink?" Beca asked.

"She just wants to do a few tests on Leslie." Chloe said. "She says there's nothing to worry about."

Beca sighed but nodded.

"Okay." She said.

Chloe smiled and kissed her cheek.

oO0Oo

Beca and Chloe were waiting outside the psychiatrist's office on Tuesday afternoon. Nikki was home with Sophie and Charlotte, Leslie was inside with the psychiatrist.

It was about an hour later when Dr. Schmidt finally called them in to talk.

Leslie was sitting on the floor, playing with blocks and other stuff, so Beca and Chloe sat on the two armchairs in front of the doctor.

"The tests I did today were IQ test." Dr. Schmidt said.

"Wait is there something wrong with our child?" Beca asked, getting defensive.

"There's nothing wrong with your child, Beca." The woman assured them with a smile. "Anyway, a child with an IQ of 90 to 109 is considered average. Your daughter, however, scored superior."

Beca and Chloe were very surprised to say the least. They quietly eyed Leslie and the little girl grinned and waved before she went back to playing.

"What's her score?" Beca asked.

"120." The doctor said. "Now, I wanted to talk to you two about that. Leslie shows she's reading at a 7 or 8-year-old level, she can do simple add or subtract Math equations kids are learning at 7 or 8 years old. But that's it, she's still 4, she still has the feelings of a 4-year-old, so because she's so young, moving her to a school for gifted children might not be the best for her yet. Talking to her teacher is what I would recommend and keep observing her for the next few years. After all, Leslie still mispronounces a few words, she still has the feelings of a kid her age."

The two women nodded quietly, their hearts beating a lot faster than normal.

"What I need you two to understand is that just because she has a higher IQ than most children her age, doesn't mean she's necessarily going to do great things. And because Leslie is also a HSP—,"

"— Wait what's that?" Beca asked.

"Stands for highly sensitive person, they feel different than we do. They can sense what people are feeling, loud noises bother them more than they do us, for example." Dr. Schmidt said. "Anyway, don't expect too much from her, when she's solving a problem for school, praise her for solving it, don't praise her for being smart, otherwise everytime she can't solve a problem, she's gonna think something's wrong with her."

"Oh!" Chloe said and nodded.

"Wait, how do you know she's highly sensitive?" Beca asked with a confused frown.

"Well she shows the signs." Dr. Schmidt said. "Being highly sensitive can be a genetic trait, your other daughter, Sophie, is also HSP, which leads me to think one of you also are or maybe a member of your family."

"I see." Beca said and turned to her wife. "It makes sense, ever since she was a toddler, Sophie's been able to tell when one of us wasn't okay and she's always tried to comfort us."

"Yes, exactly." Dr. Schmidt said.

"Well thank you so much, Dr. Schmidt." Chloe said with a smile.

"We'll keep observing Leslie and, if necessary, we'll schedule another appointment." Beca said.

Dr. Schmidt nodded with a kind smile.

"Leslie, baby?" Chloe called and the little girl looked up. "It's time to go home."

Leslie stood up and ran over to her mothers.

"Say bye to Dr. Schmidt." Chloe said and kissed the girl's head.

"Bye bye." Leslie waved with a small smile.

"Bye Leslie." Dr. Schmidt said and stood up to open the door for the three.

"Bye, thank you!" Beca said and smiled at the doctor and the two women left.

That night, the two women talked about what it would mean to have a kid with a high IQ, how that would change Leslie's relationship with her sisters and they knew they would have to talk to Sophie and Charlotte alone, as well as Nikki. They just wanted Leslie to be happy.
